Good quality food and service. Our waiter kept our Prosecco glasses topped up for the bottomless brunch and we didn’t need to call her over. Very happy experience - I felt we were well looked after 🥰

Fantastic food. Chose small plates to share with special fried rice and salt and chill chips. Everything was so tasty. Really good quality. Loads of meat on the spare ribs and the prawns were amazing.

La comida y el servicio eran buenos, yo diría que el lugar parece un poco cansado con respecto a la decoración y nuestros cuchillos de carne eran un poco contundente. Feliz de decir que volveríamos y te dan un vale de bebida gratis para usar en la próxima visita, que es un buen toque.

Sohe has always been our favourite place. It’s no longer special and the food was average. So sad

Worth a try. Service is fantastic and attentive and the atmosphere is great. The food on our visit was a little underwhelming, but we’re classing it as a one off issue this time around. So overall we were really pleased.

We celebrated our daughter's 1st birthday here, and everything was amazing and smooth from coordinating and organizing with them about our event to the day itself. Everyone agreed that the food is really good. And I can't thank enough for their wonderful service. They were all really nice, quick, and very accomodating. We all had a wonderful time.

Unfortunately I ordered a fusion Sunday lunch which did not work for me. A Sunday dinner with char Sui pork and a very rich sauce which unfortunately ruined a brilliantly made & cooked Sunday lunch. Perfectly cooked veg, crispy roast potatoes but Thai sauce meets Sunday lunch just didn’t work. Manager totally understood and liked feed back and even took out sweets off the bill although I do feel it was my fault for not asking what the sauce would be. Great place to eat and this would never stop us eating there again & again

Very good food, ambience lovely, sat in a booth style area which felt intimate but still a part of the restaurant. Service was a bit slow all round but this seems to be an issue in most restaurants nowadays as staffing is kept to a minimum due to costs I suppose. Prices were good for the food on offer.

Puedo recomendarlo a fondo. Había plato tras plato de comida deliciosa producida en el transcurso de un par de horas. Ninguno de nosotros pasó hambre; de hecho nos fuimos con bolsas para perros. Mis favoritos fueron el calamar y el curry de langostinos, y en cuanto al helado de chocolate - helado - ¡guau! El personal era excelente; adecuadamente discreto mientras se aseguraba de que las bebidas se mantenían recargadas. Toda la experiencia fue excepcional.

Tan decepcionado con el brunch, la comida era absolutamente horrible los entrantes eran horrendos y la comida principal por debajo de la media. He estado varias veces y el viejo menú del brunch era mucho mejor. Prosecco era barato como primer sorbo me dio acidez. Tristemente no volverá 😞

Faultless meal. Absolutely exceptional experience. I don’t usually say that unless I really mean it. The food was fantastic, chicken bao buns perfectly cooked and other guests all said their food was great. However, what lifted it even further was the service. Two lovely, polite, professionals waitresses who were happy to have a bit of a laugh (which young staff in a lot of places don’t seem to be able to do) - one who really is a credit to your establishment in particular. I wish I’d got her name to give full credit. Wine always poured and check-ins regular without being fussy. Thanks guys. Really. Lovely restaurant and ambience. Great good. Great service.

Lovely evening, charming staff, delicious Thai chicken curry.

Took my dear old mother here for her 76th birthday. Both loved our meals and I managed to get her a little tipsy on the fantastic cocktails made for us. Staff where lovely nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely be back. Big shout out to the chef Tyler who personally came to our table to wish mum a happy birthday. Thank you!

A great family 30th birthday lunch. 6 adults, a 4 year old and 2 babies. Not an easy group to take out for lunch. We had the private side room which worked very well. The staff were lovely, and in particular Bonnie - who was our main server- was so accommodating and patient. The food was also fabulous! Thank you x

Me alojaba en el hotel de al lado, así que pensé en probar este restaurante, la comida era fantástica. Tenía costillas pegajosas, probablemente las mejores que he probado, seguido de fideos de ternera muy agradables, a pesar de que los chiles me hicieron sudar, todo seguido de un buen cóctel.

No podía esperar para volver Tenía el Menú Clásicos dos platos por £ 18. 95 no decepcionó. Gracias a Dios por pantalones elásticos en la cintura 🤣 Tuve las costillas pegajosas coreanas para empezar excelente Tuve que pedirle a la camarera un descanso de diez minutos. Luego vino el salmón Teriyaki para el principal estaba muy sabroso y yo estaba luchando al final para terminar todo. El ambiente era encantador servicio impresionante y las chicas eran muy amables también Cualquiera que busque una experiencia asiática debe visitar Sohe en Osborne Road Jesmond y verlo por sí mismo 💖 Gracias.

Food was good value - music is far too loud. We asked for a quiet table, were shown to a booth which was quite tight - below a speaker.

Chilled relaxed ambience, staff deliver great service, welcoming atmosphere. Food was divine after a long day it was very much needed. Music was so relaxing. I would not hesitate to come back when I am in the area again

Second visit and didn't disappoint. Sharing starter really generous and particularly liked the spicy cauliflower. Mains of chicken stir fry and Malaysian king prawns really tasty and good chilli heat without being overwhelming. Comfortable venue with excellent attentive staff. Would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable and reasonably cheap too. The noise from the pubs wasn't too bad and doesn't go on for long.

Really lovely restaurant. Sohe is our 'go to' when we visit our son. The food is delicious and it is good value. The staff are really friendly. The menu has been simplified since our previous visit which makes it much easier to navigate! Would highly recommend

Excellent food, service and drinks. Two of us tried the Korean fried chicken with Asian coleslaw and chips. Just the right side of spicy. The stir fry was also very good! Service efficient but not intrusive. A good night was had by all.

Went to order from their takeaway menu only to see them using AI generated artwork. Absolutely disgusting and shameful. Please look into the ethical concerns regarding AI. I live in the area and love trying new restaurants but will be avoiding this place like the plague and will be telling my friends to avoid too. Can’t be bothered to pay an artist? Then you don’t deserve my money.

We’ve got our breakfast of the hotel next door here. We came in 45minutes before the end but most things were already finished and not properly replenished. We asked for 2 coffee but got 1 tea and 1 coffee. The waiter did not listen to our wishes and some “hot” food of the buffet was cold. We expected something more at that time before the end.

Great food and service it was fresh food prepared onsite you can see the chefs preparing your meal loved it! Definitely coming back again!

We had a fantastic meal with exceptional service. We dropped our son at Newcastle University for his first year and took him for a meal before leaving. It was very special and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We all had fantastic food with the crispy beef being a real highlight for me!

Our food was lovely and the choices of food and drink were really good and greta value for money. Our server/s were friendly and made sure we always had a drink. Would definitely return.

Served by Amber - she was lovely. Food Great. Curry and rice served in two small separate bowls on a plate was strange presentation but taste was good.

This was our second visit to Sohe, and each time the service was excellent and the ambience could not be faulted. The menu is relatively short, which means that they are not trying to spread themselves too thin, trying to cater for every choice possible, and all the items we've ever had from the menu have been delicious. Portions are extremely generous, so the only problem we've had is being able to fit in a dessert. On our first visit, the seven of us had a private room to the side, which was great, and on our second visit we were in the main part of the restaurant, which was also very comfortable and pleasant. The music was good, with an 80s vibe, and not too obtrusive or loud. All in all, if you like Asian food, you can't go wrong with Sohe.

Nine of us visited for Bottomless Brunch. Food was lovely and it was great having a few drinks options instead of just prosecco. Staff were lovely. Special shout out to Charlotte who looked after us so well. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Lovely place. We booked the bottomless brunch. There was a lovely range of starters and all beautifully fresh. Catered well for a vegan in our group. Never had an empty glass- very attentive! Would recommend.

Great menu - hard to get onto the mains as the appetisers and starters were so appealing and diverse. They did not disappoint.

We had a party of seven for an 18th birthday party, and got a room all to ourselves. The room was lovely and the service was excellent. The menu wasn't huge, which was good, but has an excellent range of south-east Asian dishes. Everyone liked the dishes they ordered, and, in fact, we were too full to have desserts, even though the desserts did look enticing.

Food, service and ambiance is always excellent here. The dishes are varied and always taste so fresh. Brilliant cocktails. And attentive but not in your face service.

Really exceptionally lovely!! Even better than my last visit a few years ago. Amazing cocktails, mains and desserts. Especially recommend the miso chocolate dessert and the mango and chilli cocktail. Caring and lovely staff - can’t recommend enough.

Bottomless brunch was really good value, nice cocktails to choose from or prosecco/lager. Starters were lovely and 3 it of 5 of us enjoyed our main courses but the 2 who had katsu curry weren't keen and said it had a funny aftertaste

Delicious vegan options, great service, beautiful environment.

The young lady who “greeted” us was very frosty and we felt berated for arriving 10 mins before our booked time. We were happy to wait in the bar as she directed but again she was very stony faced and seemed irritated with us when taking our drink order. Following that a young lady from Brighton served us and she was absolutely lovely. The food was lovely too and the portions very generous. But the attitude of the first young lady did put a bit of a dampener on the start of our evening. We are always very friendly to people and didn’t deserve that treatment.

Beautiful restaurant and enjoyed both food and drinks at Bottomless Brunch! I selected beef stir fry with black bean sauce for main course and really enjoyed it. Enjoyed the Aperol Spritz cocktails too x

Bottomless brunch all the way! This is our favourite go-to for bottomless.. lost count of how many times we’ve been now!! The drinks choices are ok.. would be even better if they added an espresso on the cocktail choices.. Aperol Spritz is one of the choices but it just bloats you up & fills you too quickly so I have to avoid that (is that deliberate?? Not sure! 🤔) We usually only ever go through the day from 1pm onwards Friday or Saturday as it’s lovely and quiet. Staff are super-attentive and quick to fill your glass or bring you a different drink.. they also approach you in the last 5 minutes to bring you your last drink which is a nice touch.. Food is exceptional.. great options for bottomless (and their normal menu looks sensational also!) love the spicy crackers & sharing platter starters! Great atmosphere, decor & ambiance Deffo returning again & again to this one:)

Found this place when looking for somewhere new to go for my birthday last year. Absolutely loved it, so went back with friends this year. Wish we lived nearer so we could go more often. The food was AMAZING, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Nothing bad to say about it. HIGHLY recommended.

My husband and I visited Sohe for a meal for our wedding anniversary, having chosen this restaurant due to recommendations on TripAdvisor of those in Jesmond area. It did not disappoint in any respect. The staff were welcoming, the decor was superb, the food was delightful. My husband said the spare ribs were the best he had ever had. I loved my monkfish steak. Everything very tasty and so well presented. The restaurant was not too busy, and staff were respectful that we were not in any hurry. A lovely night.
