Bubble Cha in Newcastle upon Tyne

This used to be my favourite bubble tea place where I would frequently come to visit. However, the past couple of times, I have been left very disappointed. The quality of especially the taro milk tea seems to have gone down hill-it doesn't taste nice anymore. However, there are no faults in the fruit teas.

Ordered a large Mango and Pomelo milk tea drink with mango tapioca balls to take away and it was delicious (I'd have added a photo of my drink but finished it too quickly)...service was great...the guy who served me was very patient as I didn't know what everything was.

This place has vegan options. There is a lot to choose from. Milk too can be vegan. Everyone is kind and helpful. I wish it were more spacious, though. That would have made it perfect!

We have tried Bubble Cha recently and it’s a very good place for a good price bubble tea for the large cup. The staff were friendly and they have different types of bubble tea too. The service was quick and location was great too.

very cozy place with great bubble tea! staff are lovely and the atmosphere is very welcoming. can get hot sometimes especially during summer but they have fans and an ac to help. Also a toilet if needed

Cannot recommend this place enough, have been going for years now and it never disappoints. I always go for the speciality teas such as the cheese foam or the yakult drinks but you can’t go wrong with the classics. A must try is the brown sugar fresh milk boba!

Had an amazing experience- asked for a recommendation and the staff were so lovely. Ended up trying the caramel milk tea and was so tasty and refreshing!!! Also tried the bubble waffle and paired perfectly with the drink, couldn’t recommend more heading to this establishment. 5/5!!!

Came from Chester to try out Bubble Cha as I’d heard amazing things; my expectations were exceeded! The bubble waffles are delicious and the bubble tea is the best I’ve tried. To top it off, the staff are so lovely! Would definitely make the journey to have Bubble Cha again! 5/5

Great options and customisations available. Staff are nice and friendly. It is usually super busy on the weekends with long queues that move pretty quickly. It’s much quieter on the weekend. There are not is not a lot of seating available and it gets taken up quite quickly so it’s more of a takeaway place.

Ordered online, it took 1 hour to arrive and when it arrived it was warm and not even the correct order (I said no bubbles but they gave me bubbles). Very disappointed👎🏻

I ordered 2 boba drinks one strawberry fruit tea with grape and strawberry boba and a vimto fruit tea with apple and strawberry boba and they both taste like perfume this has never happened before and I spend 10 on them and they taste like that.

Really good bubble tea place. Staff are all friendly and sweet. The decor is just like it should be; with a mishmash of random posters, menus and decor. All in all, a really fun place to visit with a calm atmosphere. Bonus point, tried my first ever fortune cookie!

I've been going here for several years now and the staff are always very friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. Everytime I am in Newcastle, I make a point of going in for my boba fix and love trying the other varieties they offer on a daily basis for others to try. There is a good selection of flavours and the drinks are freshly made while you watch but if you happen to be lactose intolerant or vegan, they are more than happy to alter your drink to fit your needs! In my opinion, they have the best tasting boba drinks compared to some of the newer shops that have popped up recently. 10/10 Reccomend! :D

this place is so cute and i absolutely loved the drinks. Me and my family we went together and we all got drinks multiple times because of how good it was. Really love the vibes but don't like the loud music tbh. I personally recommend. Will visit again!

Here you can find traditional bubble tea with so many flavors. Nothing fancy, but the atmosphere takes you to the busy streets of Taiwan.

The shop is located right in Newcastle Chinatown, the service was very friendly and my drink was prepared in no time. I had green tea with passion fruit and mango pearls for just 3,60GBP. Highly Recommended!

Great bubble tea and wonderful staff, but obnoxiously loud club music made it awful to stay there.

Lovely little shop with a huge range of options. Bubble tea was great and pricing isn't anything out of the ordinary. Food was subpar though compared to the images advertised in the store and hence not great value for money. I also do wish they had more individual seating rather than so much space being taken up by two booths. Maybe a table along the wall and then you could probably fit another two tables between that and the counter.

We were mesmerised by the variety of flavours and just how much the place had to offer so went in for bubble tea after dinner. We tried some unique flavours - I got the rose one with blueberry pearls - however even after reducing the sweetness it was still very sweet so that it wasn't really refreshing anymore - appreciate a lot of people like it that sweet but it just wasn't for me! The rose flavour was also a bit mild, not very strong, probably would go for a more conventional flavour next time.

i ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bao, and it served with a paper which sticked under the bread and it was not edible. However, when i reflected to the staff, they were unresponsive and ignorant, and didn’t react to it.

This is where my Bubble Tea journey started early last year. An absolutely stunning establishment with so many different options and combinations that it would take a lifetime to try it all. From amazing milk and fruit teas through to fantastic bubble waffles and ice creams. The prices are fantastic for the quality you get too. The atmosphere in the store is so good and you could be forgiven if you thought you had somehow left Newcastle and found yourself in an authentic Taiwanese tea house. I know it's a little way from the centre, and I know there are a plethora of Bubble Tea shops elsewhere in the city, but do yourself a favour and make sure to try this for yourself at least once. You won't be disappointed.

Tastiest bubble tea I've ever had!!

I got seafood noodle curry laksa and it’s a bomb 💣💣💣 It’s sweet and spicy at the same time 🤙 It’s perfect for rainy days and as hangover soup. They gave us extra laksa soup as well! It reminds me of Mee Curry from Malaysia 🇲🇾 I also got honey dew milk tea which great as always 🫰🏻 They gave us bubble waffle (It’s on the house!) for dessert and we finished it in seconds! Thank you for the food

Came here the past 2 times, staff were lovely but did my order wrong the past 2 times i was there. Music too loud in the shop too so couldn't hear over the counter to the staff.

Perfect bubble tea from a vast extensive menu and even better you can choose your sugar content! Best curry laksa with udon & seafood. Fab my dogs 🐶 were allowed in too! We’ll be back to try more of the menu very soon ❤️

Got a taro bubble tea with tapioca. Absolutely unreal. Nice and chill environment

The bubble tea of this place is rather average but I find their hot dogs and duck wraps are quite good. Nothing like I have ever tasted anywhere else. They also sell some Asian snacks near the front desk, which is nice. But overall the indoor sitting is poor and not very clean. I suggest do TAKE AWAY ONLY.

I have been coming since 2021. Never have any problems. The best teas are served here. I have been to many bubble tea places, but they have nothing compared to this place. They have many different flavours. The tea can be made very lightly for children. My kids absolutely love this place. I’m literally here every other week!

I went today and I loved it. The atmosphere was great, my drink was delicious and incredibly affordable(lychee bubble tea with passionfruit boba) and the service was on point even whilst it was booming with customers. I can't get over the price. £3.95 for a 700ml bubble tea. I would recommend to anyone visiting Newcastle, even if you have never had bubble tea before. One slight criticism I would make is that they give out paper straws like every bubble tea shop nowadays but I guess that us just a me problem because with today's environmental situation paper straws seem to be the way to go. Paper bubble tea straws are better then any other though because they don't loose shape quickly. So to summarise, I loved it there, my bubble tea was outstanding and I would definitely reccomended to anyone visiting Newcastle.

My daughter Matilda absolutely ADORES it here. We always come by when were in town. It has lovely staff they are just so friendly and create an amazing experience. It has delicious food, weve tried most of it! The bubble tea is the best we've ever had, deffo reccomend!
