Thai Express in Croydon

Best place for lunch in Croydon. The general Thai in particular is excellent. When going to boxpark in Croydon i always think about trying somewhere else but always just go back to thai express

I had a Chicken Pad Thai for lunch which was a little pricey (but everything is pricey these days) and was of good taste and I enjoyed it. Not going to blow anyone away but it's a solid choice if you're willing to spend a little extra on lunch or dinner

I ordered a chicken tom yum noodles and asked for medium spice. I was given a bowl of slop that was exceptionally hot and in edible. When I took it back the woman serving told me thar was what medium spice was. My husband and I are both used yo eating hot food and this was ridiculous. No refund, just rude. Avoid.

This was our second visit to thai express - portion sizes are okay, but quality is fairly average. The general thai and pad thai dishes are okay, but nothing special - lack of quality ingredients I think and its quite pricey. Better options are available in box park and nearby.

the managment is rude , the food is rushed and expensive , the mood of the workers is terrible and the service worse , better stayng away from that place

I ordered for Stir fry oyster, Pad Thai and Stir fry cashew. The quantity was good, the delivery was on time. But the food was of course not up to standard. Very dry and not enough vegetables. Also salty. I had bad stomach upset last night and couldn't sleep properly. The only reason I ordered from them because they do gluten free food and my husband is allergic to gluten.

I stopped going here as the service was so bad. I have it another go today. First of all we were ignored for about 5 minutes. Finally someone came to take our order - rude doesn't go close to describing what he was like. Barely made eye contact, snapped when I asked a question about where we collect the food given social distancing measures (his response - come back in 10 minutes - didn't even answer my question). It's not great Thai food yet is charges restaurant prices for take-out. The other units at Boxpark make an effort to attract customers and deserve custom. This place does not. Never again.

Woaw!, what a disappointment, not that I had any high expectations. I was not in a mood to cook and sadly, made a very bad choice! Pad thai was disgusting and will never order from them again.

I ordered a Prawn Pad Thai, it took ages for them to serve it to me. The food was absolutely smothered in a very salty soy sauce, so you couldn’t really taste anything else. They couldn’t even be bothered to remove the shell completely from the prawns, the tails still had them left on.

So this “manager” assaulted me when I asked for a refund of uncooked food that I was served. To be told, “I cooked it and it’s fine and I’m not refunding you” So I was left with no lunch and no refund. It’s a con.

The General Thai meal, with beef rather than the chicken was really very good indeed. Nice and moist, with well-cooked beef. A good place to grab a quick bite.

Very disappointed, usually good food but must have been a different chef as the pad thai we ordered was awful! Plus we paid extra for tofu and instead we received carrots, pepper & broccoli... sorry this is not pad thai! Such a shame.

We’ve visited here a number of times. Never disappointed by the Pad Thai and Fried Rice. The seasoning is amazing!! Very nice and will be a returning customer!!

My favourite place to go to at Box park. I normally get the stir fry - very tasty! Reasonably priced and the portions are quite large. Recommend!

Read reviews online and decided to give a it a try. I'm not impressed, I ordered Prawn Pad Thai and it taste like the woks haven't been cleaned at all, you can taste where the previous food is burning to the wok. Its not a nice taste. It's my first and last visit.

I use Thai Express for lunch and the food is excellent. The service is good especially Noemi who is always there with a welcome smile and there to help with food recommendations.

A dedicated foodie and having a deep love for all things Thai, I just was not impressed. The portion was ok but I was not blown away on taste/flavors. Overpriced and non impressive. This area is, and I am trying to be nice is a bit of a dump so for the prices to match central London is an insult.

Fast and friendly service. Never had to wait long for my food. Very good Thai curry. Visited here a fair few times. Will definitely visit a fair few more times.

Staying at a nearby hotel and wanted something a little different.

Located in the Boxpark this place does very good Thai food. Good value. Enjoyed the noodle soup. You can choose your meat options and also the level of spiciness which I thought was a good idea.

Does a really good vegan phad thai with tofu. I asked for extra spicy and actually got extra spicy. About £7 and it does fill you up. I like it here I would def go again.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and was impressed! Guy who served me was great and helped me work out the ordering system. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken and it was about £7.50.

Good food, fast service, friendly staff. I will be back. Box park isn’t amazing food, but then that’s not the purpose. This is one of the better food places and gives you the option to mix and match on food.

Had a deliveroo. Very nice food indeed! Quite spicy but the flavours were excellent! Went for medium spice but will more likely get mild next time! Thanks for a great curry!

Good choice of food on the menu and can customise as you want. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Quick service too.

We often go to Thai Express and have always found it good. I have had a lot of chicken every time with my meal which I usually had medium red curry with rice. I enjoy it and feel the portions are reasonable for the price. My friend always has Pad Thai and can never finish it as the portion is too big for her. I came here with my son and they were kind enough to make a plain egg fried rice which was not on the menu. Prawn crackers are amazing too!

Treated myself to a Thai green chicken curry. Good customer service and quick food however it was mostly rice and very, very little else. Definitely not worth £7.15. Tasty but not worth it.
