T.G.I. Friday's Sheffield Meadowhall in Sheffield

Extremely disappointed, we were going to use the Thursday “burger and a bevvy” offer which stated on the app that we could get either a burger or a hotdog, hotdogs were not even on the menu so we asked our server (Jade) about this and she said we could get one they were just not on the menu and offered us the pulled pork hotdog, all 3 of us went with that option, it arrived in a tiny basket which is normally used for sides, we had about 10 fries each and the “hotdog” was simply 3 burned pigs in blankets shoved in a bun with pulled pork on top for £15, what a waste of money, we were not informed of this before we ordered and when we brought it up with our server she just said yea I don’t know why that is sorry about that and asked us to pay, no explanation or trying to do anything about it, nothing, she also had a terrible attitude towards us and seemed to be avoiding our table going to all others in her area being lovely towards them and it seemed she just wanted to get rid of us, can safely say this has put me off TGI Fridays which was once my favourite restaurant. Thank God It’s Fridays I think not, Thank God It’s closing down.

Food was delicious and our waitress was lovely - Kadie she really took her time and made us feel very welcomed. The music is loud inside - thankfully we were outside!… hence my 4* and not 5* on the atmosphere!

Really tasty food, only came in for pecan pie, I can't lie. It lived up to our incredibly high standards. Our server, Jade, was fantastic and made the experience a thousand times better.

Luke had sensational service today - after a few friends were unable to make it for my friend’s birthday, he made sure she was well looked after with free drinks! He was very attentive and the experience wouldn’t have been as fab without him.

Service was really good and quick which a busy bloke like me appreciates, food was top notch and jordan was great.

Used to be a regular customer at TGIs as it was reasonably priced. But nearly £21 for chicken strips!!! That’s so over priced. We will not return for that price.

First time at this restaurant, dirty seats, waited a long time for food, chips, chicken wings cold, only thing that was hot was the garlic bread. Plenty of drinks (refill cokes) Will not be returning anytime soon!

Booked for a birthday meal, but regret it and won't return. Really bad service... Possibly the worst we've experienced in a place like this. Struggled to get staff attention for anything because they were never in our area (seemed to be outside chatting). Table dirty and no knives put out. Not very kid friendly - no activities for children like other chains. Food not worth the money. Burger raw inside and burnt on the outside. So many other places you can go in meadowhall that offer better for less.

The young server was lovely however the food prices are ridiculous so we ordered from the kids menu, nicely presented but the food lacked flavour, wont be back again.

service was super slow, took ages for our order to be taken even longer for the drinks and the food menu is limited and a bit rubbish. Food is super expensive and not the best quality, wasn’t even that busy when we went in will not be returning :-( such a shame 😳

Went for a birthday celebration this evening but absolutely shocked at the price.yeah it's nice food but we left and went harvester and got twice as much for half the cost with a fantastic service. Sorry but you've lost our custom by being greedy.

I can not belive I have just paid £8 for 4 potato wedges, said to be potato skins! It’s absolutely outrageous that you are charging people extremely expensive prices for your food and services when the service is shocking and the food is just as good Quality as McDonald’s! For £8 I received not even half of a potato filled with cheese. Over the years I have been a very loyal customer to tgis but after this experience I will no longer be returning.

Off the bat we were shown promptly to a table for two and the lady was very friendly and asked us for allergy advice, We had been seen shortly after being seated by a lovely lad named Luke who had been very patient with us despite the time it took us to decide on what to order, they had asked us if we had wanted refills on our drinks as he checked in on us and even asked to see if our food was enjoyable ensuring there were no issues. Quality service overall. I look forward to my next visit :)

Coming back from a game of rugby today I thought I’d treat the kids so we stopped off and went to dine in at the TGI in Meadowhall and oh what a dump! The table we were sat at one of the bench seats was broken, the other side the divider between the two tables weren’t attached properly. If that wasn’t bad enough the table was sticky and the floor was dirty, what’s more disturbing is that every piece of cutlery was dirty. What a terrible place, we left before it got any worse.

Fix served me and my friend for bottomless brunch to celebrate my 19th birthday. She was so lovely and welcoming and we had a laugh with her too! 100% would come again thanks to Riz!!! She’s absolutely lovely!!

Not going to lie, the food has gone down hill. Starters of chicken strips and potato skins were lovely. Main meal of cajun pasta and fajitas....awful. The pasta had taste and probably half a chicken breast, for £20 do not waste your morning. Faitas again hardly any chicken and not much taste. Very disappointing.

Me and my parents called here on the way home and picked TGI's because I usually really like the food. We asked at the front about Gluten Free because my mum is. The lady told us to scan the QR code to look at the menu online. Which I thought was a bit rubbish why not just put what is GF in the Menu. We sat down and I scanned the QR code and filtered GF. There was hardly anything for my mum and to be fair the actual menu was pretty dire! I've just come back from Australia and the menu over there was massively different and they had a lot more choices. I ended up looking up Frankie and Benny's to see what they had and they had tons more options for my mum so we left. Nothing to do with the staff they where lovely and really apologetic.

Allow about 2 hours minimum, we all (4) ordered exactly the same burger, took well over 1 hour to arrive, simple drinks took about 30 minutes to arrive, they pretty much forgot them, was a quiet time in the week day also. Brought the bill very quick when asked though, funny that! Way too expensive also. Our first time eating here, never ever again, EVER.

Nice ish food for the discounted price we paid. Not sure I would be as pleased paying full price. An easy eat with children though

I went to TGIF with my grown up son when he came to visit me in Sheffield recently. I used to take him to TGIF when he was a child as a big treat so maybe that's why he chose it. That was in the late 90s. The menu that was on offer then had variety. The 2024 (much reduced) menu was the usual bland burger based type that is everywhere these days. And what I had wasn't even that good. The staff were helpful and enthusiastic for the most part, but even they couldn't lift the tired and outdated feel of the place. Having an American 'theme' anything no longer has the appeal that it once did - everything seems to have an American theme these days, so TGIF no longer has even that in its favour. It's not for me anymore.

Isla s on the bar was amazing and so friendly. She found out it was my birthday but I didn’t want any of the fuss but she still made sure I got some cake. Couldn’t leave her a tip as she didn’t have her card with her and we didn’t have cash on us so a five star rating from us instead.

Food was amaze as always and came quick. Service was attentive, polite and welcoming. Always love the 2 for 1 deal on cocktails so that was a bonus. Not sure on our waitresses name but she was lovely. Would deffo recommend.

Went to TGI Fridays with my friend this evening and Iona was our server. She was fab, very helpful and friendly! Our food order was taken quickly and our drinks refills were quick too.

Had an amazing time at TGI Friday’s Meadowhall. Lorna W was really welcoming, helpful and chatty but not overly! Riz, the manager, couldn’t do enough to help us and was lovely, explained the Stripes reward app and made a birthday celebration extra special. Thank you!!! We will defiantly return again soon.

The food was cold when it was served. Meals that had been ordered were missing and never came(which apparently was our fault not the staff). Not autism friendly what so ever.and over charged when spoken to the manager the mistakes were due to us the costumer and not the staff.

My first time in Sheffield and my sister Inlaw took me to Meadowhall. They were lots of restaurants but TGI caught my eye. We did not prebook maybe because it was a Monday evening. The staffs were really friendly and easy to approach so their services were more than 5 stars. The food as well was 20 stars lol because I more than enjoyed it . The steak and the ribs and also the chicken. It was really delicious. I tried the pina colada but it wasn’t milky. I asked for it to be done again and it came out nice. The atmosphere is really nice for cool videos and pictures Thank you so much for having us .

Our favourite place to eat out, Shelly our server was fantastic, shes a credit to the team, very polite and helpful, took the time to chat to us. Always checked on us every so often making sure everything was tip top, the prices aren't quite as cheap as they used to be, but was still decently priced as the quality is unmatched. An excellent occasion of our grand daughters birthday with two friends, sister, mother and father, two grand mothers and one grandfather. We were served very efficiently by Aimee who catered for us admiraly.

Amazing food and service! Lara our waitress was absolutely fantastic the food was made well and I enjoyed it a lot and my sisters birthday was given a song which was good.

Firstly our server was a lovely girl. On a busy short staffed Saturday she was well out of her depth. She had 3 tables with complaints. We waited 20 minutes to even get our bill. Then got the wrong one. This meal was a gift and I feel I've wasted it , £95 for an average meal with less than average service.

The food wasn't nice and had to wait a good 15 minutes to be served when we finished we waited a good 30 minutes befor anyone noteced to get the bill

On a not particularly busy Sunday afternoon, we waited 20 mins after being seated before anyone took our order. When the food arrived the fries were stone cold. The mocha tasted like a weak instant hot chocolate. Trying to flag down a waiter/waitress for a refill on the coke took forever; it was as if they were actively trying to avoid eye contact.

Went on a Saturday evening so expected it to be busy we booked so we were seated quickly, our server was lovely took our order quickly and brought us drinks, 45 minutes later still no starters also asked for my 2 years olds food asap no signs of that either 15 minutes later and tables around us who had walked in 20 minutes earlier had had there starters and main. Once we complained we still had to wait 15 minutes for our starters then 10 more for our mains. I also asked for my steak cooked medium well with no blood and once i put my fork in the steak blood poured out more like a medium rare. Had to wait another 15 minutes for the steak to be recooked at witch point it was still not medium well done and was chewy i left most of it and just ate the chips. The manager was nice and wiped our bill but i would prefer to pay for my food and enjoy my experience eating out don’t bother if your looking for good food and to relax

I am sorry but this place was hopeless for my family. I had ordered a stake as medium rare but I had got to chew the well-done rubber. It’s absolutely terrible ever.

Waited 20 minutes to seated after being told a 5 minute wait, food came out cold and after telling staff still waited another 15 minutes for fresh chips to come out

We had a table for 11 people booked in advance on 2nd of feb for the 10th of feb 7pm when we arrived our table was not ready. 45 minutes later still no table and no apology. Eventually we are seated an hour late and quickly place our order with the server as it is now 8pm. 8.30pm still no meals have appeared, so l ask the front of house seater whats going on and she said "l'm sorry your server is dealing with you there is nothing much l can do about the wait but l do apologise" l said can you send your manager over because we are all going to leave if this doesn't get sorted asap. The manger did not come to the table instaed she hid at out of sight so we had to get up and find her. My husband spoke to her and she said our order hadn't yet gone through but did say she would reflect it in the bill. We reported that our table was dirty she said she would sort it and NOTHING was done! We eventually got all our meal between 9pm- 9.10pm, food was ok but by thus time we would have eaten anything. The manager never appeared and when we received the bill not allowance had been mad. We complained to the server who went away and came back saying the meal would be half price. We paid and left with still no sign of the manager who left the poor young male server to deal with us.

Food is about on par with weatherspoons yet they feel they should be charging £20+ for a main course. Absolute rip off

Very good customer service, all staff friendly and helpful. The dirty burger is very messy! Its also tasty and good value for money so definitely recommend. Been here a few times and a reliable place to eat

I wish I didn't wait for a table after being told 20mins, but we did. How can this place charge what they do and give you cold food, cold plates, soggy skin cold chicken wings so didn't eat them of the £26 chicken platter thing, dry burger, dirty tables and seats which the seat on 5he booth kept coming forward when we moved. I understand prices have to go up and don't mind paying for it, but this place is offering the customer nothing in return

Wow. This is the most overpriced mediocre food in Sheffield. There are so many better options. The £20 chicken sandwich wasn’t even good. Honestly I was trying to avoid McDonald’s. But McDonalds would have tasted better.

Billed as an upscale food court option at Meadowhall, the food was bland, poorly cooked and nowhere near expectations for a £19 price per main. The Cajun Chicken Pasta was the most overvalued dish. The Chicken Quesadilla was both soggy and burnt and not to be rescued by a spoonful of pomegranate seeds poured over the top. The strawberry milkshake was only one step away from Strawbery Nesquick in milk. The only positive was the excellent table service and host staff. As an avid eatery reviewer this was one of the worst meals of the last five years. Avoid this venue until the quality control is back in order.

If Every time I come to Shefield I can't miss having lunch at this cafe. Good and tasty food, friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place

My girlfriend says Its not worth it for vegetarians. I don’t recommend coming here when it is busy. The staff are almost always helpful and welcoming. However, when it is busy they can forget about you. Also, it’s very pricey but it’s good. I’d recommend it when it is quieter. Oh and get the mozzarella sticks, they slap.

We visited another branch a few weeks back and had a bad experience and were given a code to return. Whilst it started off well and the staff were fairly friendly, we didn't have the best experience. Loaded fries with just mayo on, burnt ribs and music that made it hard to talk to each other. We had to ask multiple times for missing items, and never ended up getting them. I don't think we'll give them another chance now, avoid!

Jade and Riz where very knowledgeable with the gluten free options. Lovely meal and staff. Was our first visit and will def be back again.

The staff were polite, but that's where the positives end. It took over an hour to get our food and the place wasn't busy. The food itself was cold, of pretty poor quality, and for that it was hugely overpriced. The service was poor at best, apathetic at worst - We asked for extras that never arrived and there was little concern or apology for the long wait for our meal. The place in general was dirty, when we arrived we had to clean the table ourselves and when given the cutlery it was not clean either. We'd have been better off going to McDs. If I could give 0/5 I would.

What happened to TGIs? Everyone expects increased prices, but reduced portions and a complete loss of service? Maybe it’s because of their decision to cut staff meals and treat them like garbage. It shows. They are unhappy and inattentive. Practically hiding away or walking past you. I’ve never waited for 20 minutes to get an order in at TGIs and especially when it was almost empty in there. We have been to three different TGI Fridays in the last fee months; here in Meadowhall plus Southampton and Crawley. All the same experience. Fridays is basically dead. A real shame!!

I’ve had better meals at McDonalds. We had Cajun chicken salad and half rack of ribs. The kids had kids meals. There was so much to complain about but we needed the kids to eat so the only thing I sent back was the salad. The iceberg lettuce leaves were translucent and it was all mush, the chicken was cold and dry and for nearly £20 it was inedible. The staff were lovely and a replacement was eventually brought. Which although prepared fresher, was still fairly tasteless. My partners ribs were dry, chips cold. The kids sides were vile. Dried out carrot sticks, soft floury apple wedges, beans with a crust and mushy broccoli. With five kids that needed food we had no choice but to let them eat and say nothing about standard of the rest of the meal. On the positive. The kids were well entertained and the staff were friendly. Another negative. The disabled toilet wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there and there was used toilet roll on the floor.

The food was undercooked and overpriced. The cutlery was dirty and the table needed to be cleaned. The staff were friendly but that just wasn't enough to make up for the prices. If you charge £20 or more for a burger and a small paper bag with heavily salted chips - it had better be good. Ours were undercooked. It still cost over £100 just for four burgers and four soft drinks! We won't be returning.

Went here boxing day with my family wanted a table of five the lasses mentioned that we might have to do a 3 and a 2 which we was happy to do but rather then help us a find a table they were more concerned what they had in their bag of treats for their breaks after waiting for about 5/10 mins we gave up and went somewhere else never have I seen such rudeness in catering before. Won't be back franky and benny was much more friendly. .

The Christmas period is always hard for hospitality/retail staff. However this weekend must’ve been particularly hard! Last weekend before Christmas and a payday for a lot of people…we were served by Jordan H and he did a fantastic job! He was super positive with how he spoke, he was polite and our food came really quickly! Really happy

Visited TGIs as a group for a family meal today as it was midway between both families location wise. The atmosphere was great, music fab and our server was excellent. My only disappointment is how little food you get for such expense. I couldn't believe the prices and feel that they have increased recently which I do understand because the cost of everything has increased but it does feel like this rise has been a little too steep. This changed how we ordered significantly and meant that most of us actually just ordered a side or two rather than paying an average of £20 per meal. I have read similar in other reviews before writing this and others have said they were offered specials menus with deals on. This was not given as an option for us which is disappointing. I would be weary of returning unless there was a deal available as it just felt extortionate to pay £25 for a burger and chips or £20 for some chicken strips and chips. Despite 6 of the 9 of us ordering just starters or sides it came to over £230 for the meal and soft drinks. As said, the service and atmosphere was amazing. I also do accept that I didn't check the menu for prices before we went inside, I would highly advise that people do this before committing to eating here.

Came to Meadowhall for some late night shopping and decided to come to TGI Friday’s Oasis Food Court. We had to wait a little while as it was the run up to Christmas but it was only about ten minutes. Our waiter was called Sean and he was very friendly and attentive. He couldn’t do enough for us. I recommend checking the other menus they have available as from the main menu itself it’s very expensive. We went for the downtown/uptown menu. Downtown is £13.99 for two courses and uptown is £18.99 and they both have decent dishes on each. Would come back again definitely.

I had an exceptional dining experience today, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Jordan and Michelle. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanour made the meal truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for not only its delicious food but also for the exceptional service provided by the team. Each dish was delicious along with the presentation, which was also impeccable, elevating the overall dining atmosphere. A memorable dining experience!
