Not a patch on the Birmingham branch. I won’t return to the Sheffield branch, felt like a pub but with restaurant prices. Poorly cooked steak & hard chips. Got a refund on the hard scallops thanks to the great server.

The food was exceptional, as was our drinks, the whole night was perfect. Also thanks to our lovely server Yarka, made the night even more perfect with her amazing service.

Seven of us visited for my wife's birthday, the staff were excellent and tendered to every need - even down to offering a different sauce when my mother in law said she did not like a sauce that came with her choice from the menu. It is not a cheap night out by any means but the quality of the food and the skill of the kitchen staff is far above anywhere else in Sheffield. I had the 16oz ribeye, served with beef dripping gravy, onion cake and chips. It was all excellent. The steak particularly was well salted and cooked to perfection, there are often steakhouses where the steak looks great but has little or no taste - this isn't one of those places. Having checked with everyone at the table the response that all meals were excellent (even my mother in laws and that is a miracle). Would highly recommend.

Celebrating my daughter’s engagement with an excellent meal. Cocktails to start with in the bar & a beautiful celebration plate on the table. Starters were very good , try the cauliflower wings & all the different types of steaks were excellent & cooked perfectly, followed by delicious puddings. All the staff are great here, from Jack, Tony, Ben, Harry in the bar to our server Charlotte and managers Liam and Tina. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved it here. Had very nice barbecue ribs. Our server jack was very nice and helpful. He got my dog a bowl of water. It’s very calm inside and relaxing it’s not got many people in there or it didn’t when we went. Loved the crème brule. I definitely recommend this place if you’re ever in Sheffield!

Our first visit to a Miller and Carter and we will certainly be back. If you enjoy your food it is definitely worth the money, all our party ordered from the steak menu from my 12 yo son to my 73yo father and all were very pleased and found something perfect for their taste and appetite. With an ADHD and an ASD child in the group the atmosphere was perfect, friendly enough for them to be themselves but calm and quiet enough for them to be comfortable. I did mention this on the booking form and we were placed in a lovely calm corner but I think they would have still enjoyed the experience anywhere in the restaurant with such a lovely atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and helpful but what really got me was that both the bar tender, Ben, and our Steak Expert, Anna, who were the staff we dealt with most, we're genuinely nice, friendly people. Not just putting on the taught pleasantries that are found in many establishments. Definitely one of the best evenings out we've had as a family.

Had a brilliant time here for my nephew’s birthday. Food was great as always, but most memorable was the amazing service from Anna who went above and beyond making a 9 year old feel very special on his birthday!

My wife and I were out for date night, Millers and Carters is always a safe choice. Thursday night they have their date night set menu which makes it more affordable. The food was delicious as always and our server 'Jarka' was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

We went for my grandsons 18th birthday he didn't want a party. Food was delicious I had prawns for starters, ribs for main and chocolate torte for my sweet.

Utter chaos on Saturday night. Arrived early for a 7 30 booking didn't get seated till 8pm after 2 enquiries. Again had to ask twice to even get a waiter!!! Then we waited till 9pm to get served! Offered free round of drinks but we wanted food. Other tables also waiting ages or getting wrong orders. Staff were stressed and confused it was a shambles. Prices expensive for what you got

Went for a meal with my wife and good friends. The food was excellent and the service was great. We'd been given some vouchers and was unsure how to use them. The young lady who served us saw them and came over and said let me take them and come back. We weren't rushed all evening and the price was very reasonable, in fact, less than I'd thought. We will definitely be going back. One of the best stakes I've had for some time.

Me and my husband booked online at the last minute Tuesday 8th as we hadn't been before. We were talked through the menu by Adam who told us all about the different varieties of Steaks. I know it is expensive but definitely worth it. We even had a dessert and there was plenty to choose from and a Brandy and Hot Chocolate to finish off . Then Adam talked me through the Miller and Carter App for rewards and helped me install it on my phone. So a massive shout out to Adam for his patience and taking the time to explain everything to us. We will be back 😁

Came here to celebrate my partner running the GNR 2024 and we were surprised with an amazing decorated plate that said congratulations with a picture of the Tyne bridge in chocolate ! Bar staff were extremely friendly and asked if we would like our drinks at our table. We explained that on arrival the lady we gave our booking info to, told us to get a drink from the bar, which we immediately did & sat in the bar area. He then escorted us to our table which was booked for 4 adults and 1 child aged 1 so we needed a highchair which he fetched for us. The guy attending our table was called CJ and he was extremely friendly and attentive, he couldn't have done more for us. Couldn't fault any staff members at all. Food wise,we all had a beautiful starter followed by a child's steak & fries, a t-bone steak, 2 filet steaks & a steak burger. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Mine was a 10oz filet steak which I left quite a lot of fatty bits that I couldn't eat. Also, what spoiled my meal more was the fact that I ordered beef dripping sauce but was served with peppercorn sauce which I didn't realise until I had poured it over everything. I did try scraping the sauce off my steak & chips the best I could, as I don't like peppercorn sauce, but it just really put me off the meal, I tried a couple of chips but couldn't eat it. When CJ came to clear the table he did ask if everything had been OK and I explained what had happened. He said he would get me another but at this point, the rest of the family had finished their meals. We did all have a dessert, which we all enjoyed immensely. The only other thing I think could be improved on was the seats we were sat at. It was a booth rather than a table and although it wasn't an issue for the adults, the highchair didn't fit up to the table at the booth where if it had been at a table he would have been able to reach his plate. I did specify when I booked online that a highchair was required and would like to think provisions would have been in place for this. We were celebrating my son's birthday so I didn't mind the price (£279.00) but for me, it would have to be a special occasion to justify such an expensive meal. Overall we had an ok experience.

As the food is absolutely amazing,TC the grill chef today cooked our steak to perfection today, but we was served by CJ who gives the most amazing service, always there, gives excellent service and is here for all our needs, and most off all remembers us by name, gives such high standards

First time visit to a Miller and Carter courtesy of a present. Lovely atmosphere and greeting on arrival. Our waiter CJ was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. I had the 16oz T-Bone and my wife had the 3 courses for £32.95 (Calamari, Full rack of ribs and Sticky Toffee pudding). This was the nicest steak I've ever had in my life. Cooked to perfection! Will absolutely be coming back again.

We were served by Yarka on 21.8.24 for 3 of our Birthdays. She was friendly and professional and very good at her job. When the food came late (which we hadn’t noticed) she apologised and arranged for us to have complimentary desserts and because it was our Birthdays 😊

The steak on the burger was very nice and tasty, but the burger itself tasted bland and had a poor texture. The macaroni cheese was also overcooked and mushy.
