Came in last weekend for the Leeds game. Partner mentioned it was my birthday and they dressed the table and even gave me a birthday card! Really nice touch. Chicken wings and beer awesome as always!

Recently visited Wildcard for food and drinks with friends and had a blast. The serving staff are all really attentive so we never went thirsty. One of our table has a food allergy for which they have a very good protocol in place which goes beyond many other places to ensure confidence in ordering. The GM took our food order as part of the allergen protocol, he is super knowledgeable, reassuring and friendly. The only negative from our visit was them having a couple of draft beers off at the time including the gluten free option. Overall the place is fun, friendly and we will definitely be back!

Been plenty of times now but was extremely impressed with the service from Phoebe B. Drinks always topped up and an all round comfortable experience .

Went especially for the wings, unfortunately wasn't impressed, flavour was good but they seemed over cooked with very little meat will try the boneless ones next time hopefully they will be better. We had loaded fries, g/f pizza and crunchy cauli, all others were good. Service was great waitress was very professional.

I was quickly seated at my table however the floor staff were incredibly rude and wanted to hurry us along, the food that arrived was well below par and not worth the outstanding prices. Me and my family came to watch a football match, despite all the screens I could not get a good view. I ordered a banana split but the banana was raw and the ice cream was rock hard, not mixed at all! I was sat on the table closest to the kitchen and I heard disgusting language from the kitchen throughout my stay. As a homosexual man I no longer feel comfortable in this establishment as staff shout horrendous slurs that no one should ever have to hear, I noticed that the strawberry blonde staff member wearing a suit was particularly bad. I left with a sour taste in my mouth. At one point I went outside for a cigarette and I noticed a terrible stench coming from the bins with food waste on the floor. YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER. AVOID AT ALL COST.

I have a general rule I follow when eating somewhere new, always go for the burger as you can't really get that wrong, how wrong I was. We are a family of four, I'll just review my food but needless to say my family were quite unimpressed with their food also. I had a nacho starter which was flavourless and uninspiring, the cheese wasn't even melted. I followed with the American Burger which I can only assume was cooked in a nuclear reactor it was so overdone, I wasn't sure whether to eat it or hang it on the wall as a miracle of material science. The prices really don't reflect the quality of the food, I would avoid, there are far better places to eat for the same or even less money. The serving staff were really friendly and attentive, the floor manager was abrupt and quite unfriendly. It's very unlikely I will return.

The food was very nice and served fresh and hot out of the oven. The waitress (Mia) was very friendly and polite. As it was my birthday, Mia gave us a sign to put in our table saying it was my birthday and at the end took the time to get a desert with a candle and sing happy birthday. Overall it was a very good experience and the service was great!

When here with a group of friends on Saturday, was asking about the 2 for £14 cocktails to be told we had to have the same cocktails ( the shiny ones) later on someone who I’m guessing was the manager came over and told us 2 for £14 cocktails was only in the week, even tho a member of staff had told us it was, he then said he would do the ones we’ve already ordered as 2 for £14 and then said he couldn’t and he would take 2 cocktails of the bill, we went as a group of 6 and this was about 45min/ to an hour after we sat down so we had ordered a fair few, apart from that the food was really nice but make sure you check what offers are on because clearly the staff don’t no

Booked the upstairs part to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday! It was fantastic, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, especially Jordon and would definitely recommend this!

For a sports bar, this is a terrible place to watch football. Booked a booth by email to watch a specific match. Turned up to find we'd be seated in the middle of the room watching the game over someone else's shoulder with the sound off. Went to the Banner Cross instead where they were actually showing it properly.

Really good food and atmosphere, the only problem is that service is very slow while you have to pay for service charge!

Avoid at all costs. Overpriced for poor quality food. No feeling to the place at all and I felt sick after the food. Such a shame and a waste. Also I noticed, it must have been manager with a tattoo on his neck, was bullying his staff and treating them with no respect at all. While leaving I saw a rat around the side off the building so I’m unsure about hygiene of the place.

Great food, great service, atmosphere too noisy for me, but great for the younger person, food was excellent quality and plenty of it, would recommend it but probably not for the elderly.

We recently held our company Christmas party at Wildcard hiring out a private area with the buffet option and everyone had a great night! The service was excellent and everybody commented on how great the staff had been. The ladies serving our group were really helpful and made sure our group had everything they needed throughout the night. Really good food and lots of drink options to suit everyone, I would definitely recommend and book here again.

Terrible establishment, booked lunchtime for a table. Got all the way to restaurant and it to be cancelled due to being over booked. Avoid the shambles of management

Comida muy decepcionante esta noche. Pedí brochetas de langostinos... solicitando no picantes. Llegó 9 langostinos en un pincho... nada más. Ensalada muy media (incluyendo la mitad de un tomate pequeño y sin aliño) y una porción de patatas fritas (que enviamos de vuelta) ... y un pan plano frío. Estoy seguro de que nadie revisó esto ya que fue enviado desde la cocina. Plato de precio no vale la pena el dinero. Quejado a la camarera cuando se pagó la cuenta ... no volverá pronto

Really attentive staff serving our table for a leaving meal. Nice atmosphere to watch the football in too. Slightly disappointed by the menu options and the quality of some of boneless chicken wasn’t very good but the chicken wings were better and the Mac and cheese was lovely!

WOW what's happened used to be our favourite place! Love this place and have visited many times over the years. Usually the best burgers in Sheffield proper butchers fare but tonight they tasted like cheap catering burgers and absolutely full of fat.Really disappointing as at the price they charge I would expect better. Please go back to your old supplier. Everything else was great.

Llevó a mi Hijo a Wildcard para su 19 cumpleaños ayer. También lo habíamos sido en años anteriores. Nos recibió una camarera que nos aconsejó sentarnos donde queríamos, ya que estaban muy tranquilos en ese momento (hora del té). La camarera rápidamente tomó nuestro pedido de bebidas, y pronto regresó para tomar nuestro pedido de comida. Las 30 alas llegaron en un tiempo razonable, pero nos decepcionó descubrir que todas eran de la sección media 'plana', y ninguna del tipo de tambor más grueso. Eso dijo que eran lo suficientemente sabrosos. Una vez comidas las alitas, se quitaron los platos y esperamos nuestro segundo plato (dos hamburguesas dobles). Durante este tiempo, nos preguntaron repetidamente si queríamos más bebidas durante nuestra espera, pero rechazamos cada vez ya que no habíamos terminado las originales. Entiendo que están fuera para empujar bebidas con el fin de maximizar los beneficios, pero casi se sentía como el retraso prolongado fue intencional con el fin de obtener más bebidas de usted. Nuestro segundo plato finalmente llegó 45 minutos más tarde a pesar de que había pocos otros comensales en el lugar. Increíblemente, el pedido se mezcló donde una hamburguesa tenía 3 empanadas (en lugar de dos) , y la otra tenía 1 ! Tomó dos intentos más para corregir esto, no es gracioso cuando has esperado casi una hora para tu comida principal. Loved the food and atmosphere. Fran was amazing! However I found it very disappointing that the waiters aren’t aloud to accept tips! How disgusting from the company that they don’t let there employees get rewarded for their exceptional service. The company seriously need to re-evaluate this! How can they expect there staff to work hard if they aren’t incentivised?

We've just been to Wild Card for a family meal to celebrate my daughters birthday. 3 of us wanted to order the Memphis BBQ plate only to be told it wasn't available. Not a great start to the evening. I ordered the Buffalo prawn skewer. £19.50 for 7 prawns (that tasted of nothing) a handful of salad and a dish of the saltiest fries i have ever eaten! The rest of us ordered an American double cheese burger (which wasn't eaten because the patty was burnt and he cheese sauce was lumpy and greasy). Touchdown Cajun chicken tacos (which was average). Boneless basket loaded fries (with chewy chicken). BBQ pulled pork stone baked pizza and Chick N Kiev loaded fries, which were both thoroughly enjoyed. Please be aware this is a sports bar, and it is very, very loud. Also, a 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill, which is one thing that i do not agree with. IF I want to leave a tip, I would like to decide how much that will be. Overall, I didn't enjoy anything about the Wildcard Bar and Grill, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The food was good as was the service. It is getting expensive, but show me somewhere that isn't. Music might have been a bit loud today! Overall worthwhile.

This is a good place for pub food and watching major sports events. We didn't want to watch the football on TV when we visited this time so we were seated on the verandah which was ok but found the traffic noise a bit much and the wind blew one of our drinks over! My nachos, although very nice, weren't the home baked variety I was hoping for. One of our party ordered a caesar salad but was presented with a cheesy garlic bread! A member of staff started clearing plates whilst one of our party was still eating.....sorry, but totally unacceptable. All in all, not a terrible experience but some areas of service left a little to be desired .

All in all it's a decent sports bar, but not somewhere I'd pick for a sit down meal. Food is expensive and bog standard, if a little poncy, and for the price I'd expect something a little more unique. Service isn't great, staff are generally quite stand offish (it wasn't particularly busy when I visited, which would make it more understandable). Toilets are clean but had no soap when I visited. Seating arrangement is quite crowded and I'd worry about accessibility for wheelchair users.

This review is for the food only. Went here with family and freinds would'nt have been my choice as the selection in minimul. The food is absolutley awful and so overpriced for the quality, £16.50 for loaded fries which were basically cheap fries with slop on top, they garnish nearly everything with spring onion and chillis, does'nt hide whats underneath. We also had the Buffalo chicken wings £10 for ten and very small again these were awful and like something you would get at a cheap takeaway, the sauce was like vinegar! I had the BBQ plate £22 i asked if it was big was told yes, it wasn't; again was served with the cheap chicken wings but these were deep fried and worse than the Buffalo ones, mac&cheese with pulled pork (or lack of it) and 2 scraggy pices of sweetcorn which were inedible, the half rack ribs were ok but lacked sauce, all the food from all our party was not eaten its just poor pre frozen pre packed garbage. Pints of beer were £6.50 and for a bar thats not even in central Sheffield is silly prices. The bar itself is nice and modern and has a good atmosphere and is great for sports events but think thats where it ends it needs either to stop selling food or reduce it by at least 50% as you would get better quality and Wetherspoons! If this type of food is your go to stick to either TGI Fridays or Five guys or even your local takeaway as they blind this places food. I can't understand why this place has decent reviews for food (if there real) its overpriced Iceland food and not even in a decent location. You could eat and drink in central Venice, Rome, Barcelona even New York cheaper than this place and they add on a service charge of 10% for the privelidge which is not an option? Look at the prices and options on the menu before you go or book then look at the other place you were thinking of and book that! Out of 5 Food - 1 Service - 4 (but not with the 10% mandatory service charge) Bar area/Atmosphere - 4 Prices - 1

We went for the euros final , despite the disappointing result. We had a lovely time at this venue. The staff were so hard working and did an amazing job.

I went here to see the FA Cup final. It was a decent atmosphere. I had a pizza. The pizza was good. I would never come here for a drink, a family night or a date, but for footy, it was fine. Not cheap.

Booked months in advance ready for the boxing, only to be emailed a few weeks the event to be told they're not showing it. Poor decision making, its suppose to be a sports bar, wasting people's time and ruining plans. Sort it out.

Shame… my first ever bad review. Usually good here but went for my 7 year olds birthday as a treat.. paid to shuffle board. Timer was started when our starters were delivered. Ate and then played two slides each way before the mains were delivered 6 minutes later. Ate mains… and the board had been tidied. A total of 8 minutes play….

Typical sports bar. Staff were friendly and the Guinness was good. Too many screens for me though. They did have a Guinness head printer which is a great addition.

I know it was Mothers Day, but a 2 hour wait for your main is pushing it. They clearly needed more staff, with that or they judt took 2 many bookings, you could see families complaining about the wait.

Slightly disappointed today, serviced was slow orders missed and food average. Not what it used to be or was designed to be.

Fantastic gem of a sports bar. One of the best I've been to in the UK. We travelled from Doncaster to watch the Superbowl there and weren't disappointed. Food was fantastic (the wings were particularly excellent!) and the beer variety was stellar. Fantastic atmosphere, love the decor. Will definitely be visiting again next time we find ourselves in Sheffield! Thanks!

Very busy popular sports bar based in a former casino on the Eccleshall Road. The restaurant has a lot of sports memorabilia and several giant screen TVs showing a variety of sports. The menu is basically burgers plus but the burgers are very good. The prices are reasonable. The popularity of the place does mean that service can be slow but the staff are very friendly. There's no parking attached to the venue. There's paid parking on the road or in nearby car parks.

Great venue 👌🏻 and walking distance from my home in Millhouses so spot on.

This is the second year running that we’ve chosen this venue for our family New Year’s Eve celebration. We came at lunchtime straight from the pantomime and were a party of 25 adults and children. We were seated on one long table upstairs. The staff were fabulous. They were friendly, and attentive and the service went smoothly in spite of the place being very busy. All of our food came out hot and all our meals served together. It is very good value, especially the children’s meals which are plentiful and tasty. Personally it isn’t my favourite choice of food but having said that I ordered the chicken skewers with flatbreads, salad and chips and it was delicious. I would not hesitate to return again to the venue especially for a family event. There is something for everyone with the big screens featuring spirts, the pool table and shuttle board to amuse the kids. Also the cocktails are brilliant. Thank you all.

We went at 6.45pm on 31st December with our 5 year old. We were shown to our table but then nobody came to take a drinks order until I went to find someone after 20 mins. The waitress apologised that we had been forgotten about. Part of the drinks order was incorrect when brought to us. The food was OK but the menu is quite limited unless you are totally into an American Diner flavour. Very limited wine list and options for vegetarians. We were quickly reminded when our time slot was nearly over. I wish they had been as on the ball when we arrived! Overall we were a bit disappointed with our experience.

We were all really disappointed that the food was below normal standard. They were also out of burgers which is normally a go to for our family. This made our options limited as some of us also don’t like pizza. We had a mixture of items off the menu and were all disappointed as a whole. It’s put us off heading back any time soon.

Visited March 23 for a family birthday & it was fantastic. Great atmosphere & we loved it. So different today. No atmosphere unfortunately and staff seemed so miserable compared to last time. I booked the table in July for upstairs to make sure we could play pool and shuffleboard like last time but unfortunately they weren’t available unless we paid £5 per 30 mins. I wish I had known about the cost before I booked. Fortunately the food was ok so not all bad. Disappointed to say we will not be returning.

We were a group of x23 friends who went to Wildcard for a Christmas celebration. The booking process for pre ordering food was really simple and seamless, everyone ordered their own dishes and paid on the night (a £5.00pp deposit was required and deducted from the final bill). Thanks to Ellie for your help in the run up to the event. We were sat upstairs, it was great for our party, we had a wonderful time, the staff were lovely, all very helpful and kept checking on us. We chose to order our own drinks from the bar, but the staff did offer to take drinks orders for us and add it to the final bill. The food was decent, pretty much what we expected and priced correctly. I'd recommend Wildcard to anyone looking for a social event for a group, the atmosphere was fab and it all went really well, huge thanks to all the staff who helped us out and made us feel welcome.

Great American style bar. Good service. However the chilli beef tacos wasnt good. It was watery, tastless and the consistency was poor. A chef would not have allowed this to be served. They must have employed a cook at short notice. Due to the expense you would have thought the small cup of sour cream and advacordo was part of the tacos deal instead they charge £1.25 for each.

Great staff, lovely food. We joiined them for our works Christmas party. There are a couple of good games tables too.....pool and Shuffle board I think it's called.

Great atmosphere and excellent food.

On arrival there was a large group of people smoking, swearing & blocking the entrance. Bouncer on the door seemed oblivious to it all. Had to almost push our way through to get inside. (This was at 7pm on a Saturday evening.) Once inside, staff were helpful and the food was great. Just spoilt by poor first impression.

Eaten here many time as a family and with friends. The menu has been changed which is fine but the veggie starters are very limited, either garlic bread or mushrooms. The best veggie dish bang bang cauliflower is no longer on there. The meals that the family had were really tasty but not be rushing back due to poor choice of veggie starters.
