Errors in food and drinks orders, but they were corrected promptly. Food quality substandard, using cheaper ingredients. No wonder they are having to close restaurants. Won't be returning. Advertising states every day is a Friday. Except for special offers. Bit Orwelian if ask me, very 1984.

Went for my birthday, didn’t tell the server but she clocked my badge and brought over a slice of cake with a candle! Service was great and so was the food! Would recommend.

Honestly wouldn’t recommend. Went for a birthday celebration- got ignored for the first 30 minutes of being sat at our table (this basically continued the whole night as well unfortunately). Serving staff were nice enough but sadly kept forgetting things (not bringing all the drinks over- having to remind them about the things not brought over). Food sadly the worst in most things: 0% recommend macaroni from here The boxed make at home kinds are better and that’s no exaggeration (dry, barely warm, no flavour, genuinely seemed reheated in a microwave). Nachos just as bad: toppings were wet (like watered down) and lacking in seasoning and flavour; the tortillas chips tasted stale. Bbq beef fajita was disappointing especially being more expensive for the beef itself. (Not worth it given it wasn’t the best) Such a shame as we have previously enjoyed going. Giving a 2* because the pecan pie was lovely and the drinks tasted good.

I ordered the sesame chicken it was awful, covered in too sweet sauce and a lot of sesame oil , nachos were cold and soggy , the garlic prawns were too basic for the menu description , it took 20 min just for the starters 😕

We had a great experience on a hen do! Staff were very attentive, food was great and they were very accommodating of allergies and our group!

We went to TGI Fridays for a few drinks whilst on our holiday. The server Beth was amazing. We were there for a couple of hours and I watched how Beth ran around seating people, taking orders, making drinks all with a smile on her face, even though she was clearly doing all the work at a busy time. Nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately her colleague seemed to keep disappearing throughout our time there. She did not seem to be helping Beth at all. A polite notice to the managers. Beth is a fantastic member of your staff, you need to look after her to ensure you can keep her. She is a credit to the company.

TGI Friday’s located at Castle Street in Edinburgh is a prime location for good food, drink & service. Had a lovely family meal which was exceptional due to the epic ribs cooked by Konrad & the raspberry ripple cocktail served by Leoni. It’s the best cocktail ever. Leoni’s service was outstanding as always. Will deffo be back again soon.

Absolutely shocking service very slow waitresses and was waiting 20 mins before I even got offered to order drinks whilst the restaurant was empty.

Good menu choices. Birthdays actively celebrated by the staff. Some dishes arrived a bit on the cold side, and requests for drink orders had to be chased at the bar. This was a Sunday, 2pm-3pm during fringe. Was overall ok, but would expect better for price. Really nice vegan pecan pie & ice cream option for dessert.

Dirty filthy restaurant, the toilets were filthy all the environment was awful, we asked for no spicy food, we said that we were allergic to spicy foods and we have a little boy with us and they gave us spicy foods.

Crappy food, we had the chicken fingers that were over soaked in an overly sweet sauce, and the kids pasta which was dry and inedible. The service was poor, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all but we still waited 5 minutes before anyone (staff all looked like grumpy teenagers) took notice and sat us, then we were ignored for long tines to order. Stay away, plenty of great options around!

Well, I haven't been to a TGI this time, but this time I was really disappointed. When we were led to the table, we almost stuck to the floor, really disgusting! I have no idea how to clean this. The waitress was young and pretty superficial. Then the music was so loud that you couldn't even hold a conversation. The burger was ok, the fries had probably been sitting in the kitchen for 30 minutes and were lukewarm and limp. My five companions were anything but enthusiastic about this restaurant.

Service very very slow considering not very busy ...food okay but over priced my starter came up after my main ....won't be rushing back.

It was a terrible experience there was no steak and. I ordered the bbq chicken wings and there was so munch bbq sauce it was disgusting. when we came into the building are seat was so dirty I would not recommend it

Dire. We went to sit down and order and saw the state of the tables that hadn’t been cleaned as well as sticky tables and chairs. Not sanitary and not suitable unless you want to chance your kids getting ill. If that was the state of the front of house I dread to think what the kitchen is like!

Quite disappointed by my first visit food was very slow in coming out. Fajitas were very disappointing for the price not a great portion and there was definitely not enough dips for the amount of wraps or chicken. Really don't think I would come back

Can't go wrong with tgi on castle street it's the best the staff are friendly and very helpful if I have allergies they will give above and beyond to make sure you still have a wonderful time IV been here alot and have never been disappointed

Seats were dirty, table sticky, 15 min wait for drinks order. Food was OK when it came out. No blue cheese sauce for wings which we weren't told about until the food came out. Wouldn't rush back seems to have gone very downhill

It takes too long to find an employee and you have to ask more than twice to get what you want. The food came out, but there was no fork. I asked for a fork, and 4 people came, but they brought me 2 forks. How are the other two supposed to eat?

Cold inside, loud music. No chicken tenders to kids. Maybe just another Friday.

One of the better TGIs we've been to, good food, nice and fast service, good atmosphere.

This time my burger was a bit big as the fries were as well. But that doesn’t reduce anything of the stunning taste of the smored Sundae. That is so great, you really have to try it!!! The atmosphere with its American stuff is pretty cool and fits great to the dishes.

The employees were loud, their service was bad, the order was late, the chicken was burnt, and the employee touched the food with her plastic fingernails when I told her the chicken was burnt 😫

A busy place. You have to like that. But my husband really wanted to go there with me and it was great. In addition to the delicious steak, the cocktails were particularly great and the Biscoff milkshake was particularly special. The volume was a bit annoying, but the charming service easily made up for it.

3 of us ate there today and will never be back. Food and drink overpriced, service slow and poor. I had the burger and it was dry and burnt. Husband and granddaughter had the cajun chicken pasta and it was the smallest amount of chicken and it wasn't a creamy sauce as advertised. We were brought new cutlery for our mains and I had to send it back as it was dirty. No staff came anywhere near the table to see if we were happy with our meal. £117!! Won't be back.

Nathan was here for a hen do, had the best master class, he’s was very helpful and helped complete the evening! Brilliant host!

Was here for a friends hen do. We had the cocktail masterclass and some food. Nathan was our host and could not have been any more amazing ! He really did make the evening the best it could have been. Highly recommend.

Mediocre at best. Hamburger was tasteless. Drink was supposed to be on the rocks with a splash. Instead it was not a double but a splash of vodka with a load of soda. Service slow.

I always like TGI. Normally go to either Forte Kinnaird or Dundee. This one however was not the best experience. Met by two staff, both reluctant to step forward and say hello, kind of looked at each other as if neither wanted to serve, strange. Inside is fine, looks similar to Glasgow one and other really. We were then left...and left.. and left. The place wasn't busy so there was no reason to have poor service. When we did get order taken, the food arrived in ok time. The portion's were different to the Forte, Dundee and Glasgow, a lot smaller! We finished the meal and paid £45 for the privilege. I don't think i'll ever go back to this one again. Poor staff, waiting and portions.

We arrived at TGIs and were sat very quickly, it wasn’t that busy when we first arrived but it definitely filled up, the poor girl serving us was rushed off her feet with over ten tables and pretty much everything we heard her telling the other tables was apologies. We ordered our drinks and after 15 minutes of waiting had to pull her aside to order our mains. Just to point out I ordered the sweet cocktail and it was full of seeds, i couldn’t drink the drink because I kept getting mouthfuls of seeds! We ordered a single sesame chicken starter and then two sesame chicken mains and a chicken burger. The starter came after 30 minutes of waiting and we were shocked to see only 7 pieces of chicken to say it cost £10. We then waited another 35 minutes for our mains to be brought out and while the plates were red hot the food was cold, clearly they’d been sat under a heat lamp for a long time. My mother ordered the chicken burger and to say it cost her £23 the portion was tiny! The piece of chicken was half the size of my palm and burnt to a crisp! Upon seeing it the waitress immediately apologised and took it back to the kitchen to be remade but after 20 minutes we had finished eating and she was still waiting and in fact I started to feel quite ill so we said to forget about the burger and we would pay and leave. The waitress was kind but perhaps the management need to help her out slightly! She took the burger off the bill but that was all she did and seemed to think that was compensation enough for a 1 hour 30 minute wait for cold food and a missing meal, despite us not even receiving the burger in the first place! We had somewhere to be after so just chose to leave it and when she asked if we had a nice time we were honest and said no it has been a disappointment and all she did was tell us to leave a review because it would do more than her passing on the message! Two of the tables next to us asked for a manager to speak to, one of them had their side brought out after everyone had finished eating and the others were waiting over an hour for their meals too. Not to mention the staff kept arguing with each other. Overall, tgi chicken is amazing but I’m definitely gonna resort to ordering it from Iceland because this branch was an utter disappointment. We paid £80 for two bad meals and left feeling ill or hungry.

Staff is incredibly friendly and amazing deals on drinks. Highly recommend, and I hate TGIF. Didn’t even realize I was in one until I was.

I’m afraid that’s us finished with TGIs no attempt to make us welcome they were more interested in getting the decorations up for there Taylor swift weekend. Food was warm and now very overpriced £20 for a plate of chicken strips. My son took me for lunch SORRY but £73 for two lunches way way overpriced we will never be back. You can get chicken far cheaper than this.

Having travelled from Cornwall for this weekend to see Taylor Swift, this was just perfect for our pit stop lunch whilst shopping. We only had to wait for 20 mins for a table bearing in mind it was packed. Our waiter Kyle was very friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble and he asked what we were up to for the rest of our trip, food was amazing and atmosphere was buzzing. 💯 Per cent go back there again when we are back in Edinburgh. Thank you.

Service was friendly but extremely slow. The boneless franks hot wings and blue cheese dip were nice but the burger tasted a bit off. The macaroni cheese was a tragedy - arrived stone cold, lacked sauce and any seasoning. Very overpriced for a very mediocre meal. Would recommend going to Five Guys instead. A shame as this location was actually decent many years ago but seems to have gone totally downhill.

Had a really lovely meal- food was great (my partner and I had the fajitas and a burger) and the atmosphere was good even though there wasn’t a lot of people in however, the staff absolutely made it a delightful experience. Very noticeable that after COVID portions are much much smaller than used to be . (half smaller) Very bad thing for that good restaurant with so tasty food. Overall, because of that ,giving only 2 stars..

Ordered 3 steaks but kust 1 came only to found out the the order request made was only 1. Really disappointed with the service. I've been to TGI Philippines, Abu Dhabi and Dubai never had this bad service.

Service was great and effective. But my drink was tasteless. Just water, no strawberries in my daiquiri. The potato skins and sour cream as well, tasteless. Burger, well you can't mess it up can you? Was average, five guys is better. Not worth the money, there's better stuff around the area.

Had a Table booked. Waited and ended up just sitting down on a Random table no one even noticed had to go up to the Bar and ask for the table I booked. I could understand if they we're extremely busy but they wasn't the two bar man was just chatting away and two servers on. Once seated finally ordered food was okay but nothing special again going to TGI Fridays just something quick and simple food. Went to the Bar to pay my Bill just to have the Bar man go on the other side of the restaurant to pay for me due to having two different tills for one restaurant which didn't make sense to me? First time using this one as was on Holiday and wouldn't recommend it.

Omg it was the worst TGI Fridays I ever had. The food was terrible and the service also. We asked for ribs and a pasta with chicken. The ribs were ok but not amazing. I had it many times before in other TGI Fridays, and it doesn't compare. And the chicken was totally burned, all black. How is it possible. The best was the waither that removed the dessert menu saying she was changing them for the weekend ones and later when we ask for desserts she said it was passed 22h00 so they were closed. She never brought the new ones of course. Thank you for that. You feel completely deceived. Never ever again. The FGI Friday should look and close this place because it gives a terrible image to this very good restaurante every else where in the world except here.

Was told at 10.15pm the kitchen closed. Took waitress team 5minutes to come and tell us this!! Really??!! Seems odd as it’s open until 11.30pm Should make it clear on website about kitchen closing times

Food is great but prices have went up allot recently. Cocktails are poor, taste or no alcohol and poorly presented.

We came to TGI’s to celebrate one year of being married! The service was awesome - thank you Beth <3 food was fantastic and the cocktails were yummy! We will be back!

Great mixed grill the menu is excellent

A summary experience of 2 visits: mid March and mid April. Both me, and my partner in gourmet adventures love ordering a mix of starters and deep fried stuff.. So we went for the Times Square Big Share a set of the Fridays Wings, Cheese & Maple Bacon Loaded Skins and Mozzarella Dippers. Though suggested to be shared by 4 the portions are far from American standards.. not just for this set, the portions in general are surprisingly small. My menu favorite: the Fridays Legendary Glaze that they serve with chicken strips or wings..it’s addictive. Second time we again ordered a selection of starters. And unfortunately except the chicken strips (the GLAZE) the rest wasn’t impressive, Mac and Cheese was the blandest. Cheese & Maple Bacon Loaded Fries were quite regular fries with sprinkles of bacon and sauces with nothing tasting maple-y.. Cocktails deserve special attention though 🍹 I was surprised by a really varied selection.. Quite a few curious options and very nice presentation. They taste quite pleasant though hardly any alcohol recognizable. I really enjoyed Bubblegum Daiquiri for the fun presentation with popping candy and slightly chemical bubble gum taste.. Barnamint Baileys - second favorite- desert in a glass..that tastes like After Eight chocolate.. Speaking of deserts: we shared the Salted Caramel & Chocolate Brownie Sundae..it was..intense. Seriously sweet but very indulgent. It’s super busy and hectic during the weekend and quite relaxed during the week. The prices are high for the portion size and quality. But they always have deals running during the week, which makes the visit overall worth it. Weekdays cocktail offer is great if you want to experiment with their favorites, without breaking the bank. I would also recommend to download the app for further special offers. I quite liked the atmosphere, though the food wasn’t particularly impressive I will probably be back to experiment further with cocktails and deserts.

Ok let's start with the positives. The service and staff were lovely, and the atmosphere is quite vibrant. The food however was overpriced for mediocre quality and portion size of sides such as fries. Almost £11 for a brownie dessert that looked as if it was a cheap bought in dessert which was quite bland. It certainly wasn't fresh made. The cheese with the fajitas was a tiny sprinkle and hard as if it had been left out for hours, as was the avocado mash. The fajitas wraps were cold and not heated. Disappointing considering the price!

Decent food at a sensible price and a great service, not something you see everyday. Special mention to the waiter, Jack, who was extra nice.

Didn't have lots of things on the menu. My second drink never arrived but I was still charged for it. No one came for dessert order so we just had to find someone and settle up. Not a great experience.

Great service, sweet staff Unfortunately, the nachos had coriander on them, was not listed and I really don't like the taste of it. Other than that the food was not top notch, but definitely OK.

Nice location.. food was slow to come out and when it did we had to return it as it was burnt.. we did get this refunded but not the best overall service with the restaurant only 1/2 full..

My husband and two girls had an amazing meal here. So much choice on the menu for the children and adults. We couldn’t manage a dessert as the main course was so filling but we will be back to try some. Excellent service, thank you!

My experience with this place was HORRIBLE. Me and my wife were ordered our foods and after 20 mins they told us there was no pork in restaurant. I said it is OK to carry on with whatever you have. Then we waited for another 30 mins and our orders were still not served. We cancelled the orders and left the restaurant with huge a frustration. Restaurant is also pretty much loud so if you want to have special date or something like that you are better to stay away. Will not visit again and absolutely do not recommend.

This was the only disappointment of our stay in Edinburgh. We waited to be seated, then we waited again to get our dishes, which were also bad. The place was also very noisy. I think the waitresses/res were overwhelmed and there weren't enough. In short, a McDonald's would have been enough.

The restaurant was lovely and clean, not too many people which made it comfortable. Chiara was our waitress and she was lovely and friendly, very polite. The service was a reasonable time for having multiple tables, the food was lovely and the cocktails wow!

An hour late. Boneless chicken was fridge cold, inedible, binned. Hotdog was cold, rock solid, inedible, binned. Burger and fries were warmish, barely edible. Honey mustard dip was delicious (the best part of the meal!) but minuscule and therefore overpriced. Overall very disappointed. Don't bother. Save your money or buy elsewhere.
