Great vibe. Staff are very friendly and genuinely nice, food was lovely. I have recommended this restaurant to friends and family.

Nice place, especially in the very Scottish pub decor. However, it is difficult to find choices of "light" dishes to eat, but for burgers it offers a good choice

Was asked to pay with a different terminal. Ended doing this and going home where i found out i was charged TWICE!! Would avoid this one.

After a weekend break in Edinburgh, my partner and I were looking for somewhere to have a reasonably find a breakfast, at a reasonable price of what we both wanted. So we came across this place and was ideal. The man who served us (I didn’t catch his name) had a great sense of humour and made us laugh.We both had a full breakfast, the potatoes on it were particularly lovely. The ingredients were excellent, and lovely presentation (I particularly liked the cute little milk bottle which came with our tea for two). I can honestly say this is the best cooked breakfast I’ve had in my life so far (for me personally). I struggle to eat much in one go and I managed to eat almost all, the only little bits I left was because I was absolutely stuffed! It was absolutely spot on for what we were looking for, and excellent price, in lovely comfortable surroundings.Will definitely go there again next time we are in Edinburgh

I never write reviews but this place was so awful I had to to save other people. I am an American student coming here for a few days and stumbled upon this place by accident and nothing else was open/could seat us because they were busy. The waiter was unbelievably rude and made inappropriate comments about Americans. Prime example: I asked for a water. He returned with a cup and bottle of water. He said “here is your vodka; sorry it’s not deep fried!” I wouldn’t normally complain about this but there were SO many comments about Americans eating too much/being fat/etc. Not only was this fatphobic, but untrue of literally everyone at the table. Food was also awful across the table, as everyone only ate a small amount and left the rest. I had Mac and cheese, thinking it was a safe bet. No, it was horrendous and borderline inedible. I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant in my entire life.

Awful experience with the food here as it was undercooked e.g onion rings had uncooked onion inside and the pizza I ordered was pretty much cardboard. I really struggled to cut through it, needed a chainsaw for it! Service was pretty good tho tbh...

I would not recommend coming here, the food is extremely bland & tasteless. Wouldn’t feed it my dog, do not come.

The food took a while to arrive and the food was decent. The staff were quite friendly. Inside the restaurant the social distancing was good. The chocolate brownie was delicious.

It took forever to get my food. The waitress asked if I wanted another beer on the house because of the wait. Well, it took forever to get that as well. Oh, let's not forget that I never received the water I asked for when I was told that my food was on the way out.

Went to the Filling Station today around 12pm. Ordered a Deep Fried Mars, and unfortunately had to wait 45 minutes for it to come. The food was delicious the service was not. I'm sorry to say I would not come back.

We’ve been here with couple friends for drinks. A lovely girl - Katerina - served us. She was real attentive and friendly. She recommended us strawberry daiquiris and they were amazing. Definitely coming back.

Went into this filling station as its ideally located right in the centre of Edinburgh. A great atmosphere and decent portion of food. Cocktails were also fab. The service was superb, not invasive like in so many other. Thank you Daniel, our server, who made the experience so much more delightful. Definitely will be returning.

We had a lovely meal here after calling in from the bitter cold of a feb evening. Our lovely waitress Rachel was very patient with us and our 2 year old. The meal was reasonably priced and quite tasty. Although it appeared that the restaurant was short staffed, Rachel looked after our every need... and kept this toddler momma in vino as needed. Rachel deserves a bottle herself! Thanks guys. S

Love lunch and dinner in filling stations around the UK so was pleased to stumble across this gem. From the minute we arrived, everything was superb and they couldn't do more for us. Typical Americanised chain but I can not fault the quality of everything. Big shout out to our server Rachel too. Big smiles, recommended dishes when we were stuck between a few and what a suggestion thanks again and look forward to our next visit and would totally recommend the nacho sharing platter and the cajun skewers. Delish!

Ever since loosing our Filling Station in Aberdeen, I have always wanted to try this place: In December when we were visiting the markets we noticed that it was available on the Taste Card which gives you a 2 for 1 which is great. Very centrally located to Edinburgh not far away from Waverley and Princes St, Plenty of seating upstairs & downstairs but nothing beats looking out the window, very friendly waiter that sat us down and realised we were from Aberdeen (accents) and started giving praise to our town which was great. Very well varied menu with pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, wraps & steaks, excellent for all kinds of tastes.

Alexandra was so helpful and attentive. Felt very at ease, she is fab. Great asset to the company :)

We've visited this restaurant several times and will go back again. Tasty food, nice drinks, very well decorated (American style). We liked a lot the pumkin soup, the burgers, the meatballs and the pizzas. Amazing staff, polite and very pleasant.

Never had such a nice and big portion of breakfast like this before. The “Feast” really speaks for itself, and with me being me, the side of haggis I ordered made it a real challenge to finish.

We came for a small bite and a drink whilst catching up with a friend. Our waitress Anastasia was very friendly. Putting the 3 C's into practice when her hair got caught on someone walking by and near got dragged away haha. Also to top it off my battered mars bar was on the house which was a nice treat. Had a very nice and filling meal here the other day. The place seemed full with not too many stuff members, but the service was without a question amazing. Might be a bit pricey for some, but the meal deal makes it worth it for sure.

Went in with daughter, as we celebation for my new job, first ones in yet food took forever to come, ordered classic lasagna.... Well sauce roasting, cut into it and it was just warm, ordered something else, which come hot. Double checked the bill and they hadn't taken the lasagne off.

We had a booking for a group of 10 of us on Saturday night. The service was shocking where people didn’t get their food until we had to ask for it and the food came to the table cold. We also had to send one dish back. There was almost 1 hour wait between starter being finished and getting mains and to be honest was definitely not worth the wait. And definitely not worth the money paid. I will not be back to this restaurant any time soon you need to work on large bookings as was obvious the food had been sitting for ages waiting on other dishes being cooked. I hope you read this and improve your service but I won’t be back.

Il cibo non è stato malvagio, i prezzi esorbitanti, la location discreta, il servizio buono ... piatti miseri ... la cameriera italiana è stata molto gentile.

Got this Meerkat 2 for 1 meal card and decided to try it out here. When I mentioned it to the server he didn’t seem bothered by it and even helped me explain what’s excluded from offer. We ended up very full and happy with my partner and as it turns out it’s very cheep this way.

Good to go when you're on your own.

Had a lovely meal at your Rose Street, Edinburgh restaurant and we were served by Elek. A lovely young man, very pleasant and helpful. We were made to feel most welcome by him which was very nice. The service time for our food and drinks was very good and there was a nice calm atmosphere in the place. After we finished our food we sat and had some cocktails (the BEST Pina Colada! Well done to the Bar man) at our table which was lovely and we were not rushed.

To be honest we came in after reading reviews from before. A few of us were sceptical but most of us had a feeling this is a nice place, and as expected everything was lovely. The service was quick, yet efficient all the drinks were tasty and good looking, and the food. Don’t let me start on it, was so so nice. The only issue is that the view is ruined by the roadworks, but there’s nothing the restaurant could do about it. Thanks for the amazing experience.

On holiday in Edinburgh and found this place for breakfast. Wow! Staff are incredibly friendly, amazing service, food was really quick, hot and fresh. Little bit pricey but really can’t recommend this place enough!

After cancelling all our plans due to the brutal weather conditions, we decided to pop in for a few drinks and meals. I can honestly say we had a better time here than what we planned originally. All of the burgers were filling and we never had any empty pints in front of us. 5* for the service and for the food as well.

I came with my fiancé for lunch. The whole service was excellent. Rachel, the bartender was lovely. Would recommend!

We decided to come here to try their lunch menu offer. When we came inside our server said that this offer doesn't exist but after asking the manager we got this lunch menu. The food in this place was nice but our server had a lot mistakes with the orders. We ordered fries without bacon and we got them with bacon. We got the plain ones after finishing our starters. We ordered calamari and we got chicken instead when one of our friends doesn't eat meat at all. They charged us for this chicken that we didn't order and we didn't get any apologies after too many mistakes.

Been here on the 3rd of January with my Wife and Daughter. All in all we had a pleasant time, decent drinks, nice seatings, good ambience and amazing service. Can’t thank enough for the great recommendations and how well we’ve been taken care of. Unfortunately by the end of the day they ran out from most of the desserts but it all made sense after we had a small chat with the manager who explained how busy they’ve been all day. Sadly we forgot to ask for everyones name apart from the manager, but keep up the good work Elek and the Team.

Standard franchise fare that you get from Filling Station. The service was a little slow while we waited for our orders to get taken. They could of been missing a staff member or two as there was only one person visibly on the floor when we arrived. Food was good and hot which is always a good sign of a organized kitchen.

Firstly we were informed they were understaffed and so might take a while to get a seat. After a bit of a wait in a queue we were told to go downstairs where there was other seating, this area was actually practically empty. We ordered our food and a milkshake and the food took quite some time to be ready. We received our milkshake straight away but it lacked the strawberry flavour, it was like milk with a tinge of strawberry. The food eventually arrived and the burger meat was extremely bland. Unfortunately the food here was not worth the wait.

Beware the terrible breakfast. Avo on toast was revolting and not as described. Coffee also bad.

Came here after a day of sight seeing in the city centre, boyfriend had eaten at the branch on the Royal Mile previously and recommended it based on his past experience.

Friendly staff and good food. We had a nice experience with friendly staff and it exceeded my expectations having never been to one of these before. Tasty breakfast and good value with the 2 for £10 deal. Nice coffee. Food came quickly and was hot. Service was friendly and the waitress asked if everything was ok with our meals, which was appreciated. Recommend this branch - we went to a branch on the high street the next day and it was disappointing compared to this one. Recommend!

Visited last night after the Edinburgh vs Glasgow.

Just been here with my family of 5 and all of us left with a smile on our face, it’s nice to see how well the team works together on a Saturday and how well they look after every single costumer. Our food was very tasty and even my son finished his meal which is a big thing for him. Would happily come back whenever we visit the city again. Thanks again Guys.

Ordered calzone pizza very disappointed as it was soft and soggy, obviously been microwaved, I would have thought a restaurant of this type would have made their meals fresh by order, I ended up with a burger not appetising in the least, will not be back.

The food was delicious - we had eggs Benedict, beef fajitas and fish & chips. All of it was tasty! We had to add salt, but that is ok.
