What has happened to TGI's? I have eaten at many of these restaurants over the years and around the world. Bournemouth has lost the plot I'm afraid! Dirty, slow, cold food and out of order toilets. Expensive (especially drinks) £10 for a 125ml glass of prosecco for instance - which was flat! The staff looked like they were about to burst into tears as well. Really dissapointed.

Our waitress Sarah, was one of the best servers we've had in a while in the UK. Very chatty, friendly, checked everything was OK with the food, and generally a breath of fresh air. All the other staff memebers we interacted with were polite and friendly as well. The food was excellent, and exactly how we ordered it. TGIF might not be the cheapest place to eat, but you definitely get a good portion size for the money. The mocktails were a good deal on the 2 for 1, but most of them are very acidic, would be good to maybe see some slightly less citric ones on the menu in the future.

One of the most disgusting restaurants I’ve ever been to staff have little or no interest in the customers they treat working there like a social club The food is awful and looks like the cooking oil hast been changed in yrs probably due to the staff having not interest apart from chatting with each other When they eventually decide to clear tables it’s done with a trolly pushed around the floor with all the wast food piled up on top of it Don’t waist your money here I’d go to brew dog just next door food is way better and the staff actually care about being there to help the customers

As a major chain we were expecting to have a great time, we have been to other locations, but this was our first time to Bournemouth, and it will be our last. Very expensive over rated food. Husband ordered the rump steak, it looked more like a child’s portion of minute steak, nothing like the menu states. My chicken burger was tasty, but again it looked like the breast had been cut in half. The most disgusting thing was watching the “chef” plating up the food, and eating fries off of the plates that he had just filled, then moving the fries about with his hands, the food also sat on the hot plate for some 10 minutes before the wait staff took it to the relevant table. I believe that someone really needs to look into the staff habits and reinforce food hygiene standards.

Hot Food dropped on 4mth old baby ! Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had and I eat out 3/4 times a week etc being an MD , it needs new management urgently as a lot of the staff are not properly trained and others are stood around talking with each other etc . There are a lot of issues with this place which you get with some big chains which I would normally of let go and just learn my lesson from and never come back but when the untrained / poorly trained waitress dropped a hot dinner on our 4 month old baby’s head whilst he was being fed I’ve had to no choice but to leave a review , we are still in shock ! She couldn’t carry the plates in the correct way and her hair was dangling over the food , it was awful and then she dropped the food all over our babies face , it was covered , fortunately it wasn’t gravy or any of the sizzling dishes as it could’ve had life changing consequences . Obviously we upped and left as there’s nothing they can say or do to make things right and as I was fuming thought it’s best just to walk away!Even before then it was a shambles , we waited at least 15 mins after we sat down even to be asked for a drink and then when we were asked there was nothing available that we requested from the new much smaller menu Rose wine , Morretti , garlic bread , Appletizer etc , I commented at the time to the waiter that it was obviously due to bad management/ forecasting . There’s far too many useless staff in there with little to no training and the couple of managers which were there were hid and not overseeing things as they should be , one of them also could not carry the plates correctly either and did not look safe serving (why are they not using trays or trolleys ? ) , someone higher up like an area manager or director can hopefully view the CCTV and see for themselves . I’ve seen efficiently run place run with half the staff and 2/3 times the customers . Had to leave a review as this is Awful and shocking and a serious health and safety issue !

Chronic management the order of the day here.Booked a week earlier...two parties of 5Arrive 15 minutes early (5.15) to be told staff covering your section do not start till 5.30.fair enough.Returned...seated on a big table.Once we faffed trying to connect to the WiFi to look at the menu( also a joke) we were told we must split up on two tables.Really.....Two families...you seated us 15 minutes earlier.Ask to see the manager who had instructed a member of staff to tell us this....he comes over and tells us it's company policy and we must split up.What an unhelpful,annoying and obviously inexperienced manager he is.We upped and left promptly and went to another food chain 50 yards away who welcomed our custom.TGI....never again....

Pre booked out table for 7pm several weeks ago for my daughters birthday but when we arrived at 6.50pm the girl at the door said we had no booking! Then after 5 mins she comes out and directs us to our table - no apologies, no nothing! Anyhow she advised us to sit at our table which was very dirty! We then requested the table to be cleaned to which was greeted with a tut! We then waited around for 15 mins without being approached! There was a leaflet to order remotely which we could not access! We noticed another family who were white who walked in 10 mins after us and were presented with menus straight away! After approaching the lady at the walk in till - we advised about the lack of menus and were given a paper copy! It then took another 15 mins for anyone to take our order! In the meantime the white family and another group of white boys were being served what looked like their main meals! At this point we asked for the manager and told him about the poor service! He apologised but it was another 10 mins before we were asked about our order! Whilst eating - we asked the waitress to bring out a slice of cake with a candle for our birthday girl - She said that she would bring it out out straight away but after 15 mins of nothing - we asked another waitress who bought it out within 5 mins. Ultimately we complained to the manager who waived the food costs but unfortunately this was way more than a slight oversight of service! We strongly felt penalised being BAME and first hand saw the discrimination against us vs. Our white counterparts! Another observation was that there was no BAME member of staff! Disgusting service!

The staff were very helpful and attentive, but the food was very poor. I ordered a glass of wine and it came in a dirty glass - not great given we are amidst Covid! It was swiftly replaced by a helpful member of staff. When the food arrived, i was given a cheeseburger instead of a plain burger. It was replaced by a plain burger which was overcooked and cold, alongside a portion of coleslaw which looked very sorry for itself - and that's just the half of the portion that managed to be placed in the bowl. I'd not return, especially given the high prices. I'd either go to McDonalds and spend 1/4 of the money (or less!), or go to Five Guys where i've had a positive experience previously.Que bagunça

This branch of TGIs was a joy to dine at over the bank holiday weekend. We sat outside due to covid regulations and we had a nice table looking out towards the gardens. The standard of food is in-line with other TGIs we have been to and the bubblegum / strawberry daiquiris tasted amazing. Worth every penny.

Only went here as other restaurants took bookings only. Now understand why they had availability. First ordered drinks. I requested a red wine, waitress asked which one I'd like. I asked what they had, she didn't know, so settled for a house red (£6.50). Hubster & granddaughter both had a glass of coke (£3.40 each !!!). We were sat in the freezing cold. Appreciate of course that current rules mean we have to sit outside but some heat lamps and covered seating would be good - what if it rained? I had a chicken burger, which had a strange processed texture and was not very nice (a KFC would be much better quality). The BBQ ribs the others had were ok, but at £15.25 for half a rack, it should have been. Total bill for two adults and a child with a main and drink each and a couple of sides came to £66.55 !!! We left feeling totally ripped off; it wouldn't have been so bad if it was a really nice meal, but it wasn't. Oh, and the water in the toilet sinks (the two that were in use anyway) was so stinking hot that you couldn't wash your hands properly. Safe to say we will never darken TGI's door again.

Just back home from 5.30pm family meal booked at TGI Friday Bournemouth and how I wish we had read Trip Advisor first ! Sub standard food, sub standard service and sub standard temperature. Longed booked birthday celebration - pre advised but might as well not have bothered as nothing arranged on the bare table where we huddled with coats on. Great memories of TGI Friday from years ago now obliterated. Agree with other reviews, you really can get similar burgers in fast food chains at the price. Food was luke warm, poorly presented and vastly over-priced. If we had not had children with us, we would have asked to speak to whoever claims to be in charge of this so called restaurant and argued over the bill.

Been going to tgi's for over 20 years and sadly in the last 5 years or so it's gone downhill drastically.Most places were fully booked so tried tgi and booked a table.Covid measures in place and were pleased that we were seated away from others. All in all a good visit which relief as so many visits have been bad or had something wrong. Tgi is still overpriced and unfortunately really is hit and miss these days so won't return as much as we'd like. Special thanks to the waitress who I think was called Sophie.

It had been around 25 years since my last visit. We (family) thought we'd give it a go on a grey Sunday lunchtime.Oh dear....!There were a few glimpses of a premium, American style dining experience, but these were comprehensively obliterated by the overpriced and abysmally poor standard of food. The just warm, bland looking, bland tasting burger was a marginal step up from Mcdonalds - only because as my young son said "it isn't squashed". But at least McDonald's doesn't cost £13. Service was slow and it wasn't as if it was busy. There were ample staff to hand.Just utterly dire! Never again. TGI's does not deserve to weather Covid-19 when there are real restaurants working incredibly hard elsewhere.

Book online for my daughter’s 8th birthday, clearly says online If it’s a celebration, the birthday girl gets a balloon or the other girls can wear birthday hats or maybe a little cupcake with a candle , nothing of which above mentioned happened on the day we dined in , I even told the waiter / waitress it’s my daughters birthday But I think I got clearly ignored , it’s such a shame a good restaurant doesn’t even do little things like this , little touch which makes a day more special but obviously they are more after of your money rather than making the day a moment to cherish or worth remembering, this restaurant doesn’t make memories or happy days to Remember, food is overpriced , food not of good quality either I guess that’s the way for a chain of restaurant nowadays , not coming again

Había reservado una mesa que recomiendo en este momento ya que está llena de restricciones.Llegué a la hora acordada y saludé con una sonrisa, me llevaron a mi mesa y me entregaron mis menús en papel. Normalmente me encanta un buen tgis durante las vacaciones, pero este es muy diferente reservé una mesa llegó a nuestro tiempo asignado el camarero nos miró y luego caminó en la otra dirección para hablar con otro miembro del personal, una camarera también pasó caminando y no dijo nada y luego vino un gerente y nos sentó. La comida estaba bien, la camarera no parecía interesada, solo quería hacer el pedido y luego volver a charlar con su colega, nos dio nuestra comida y no la volvieron a ver hasta que quisiéramos pagar, no es de extrañar que el restaurante estuviera vacío

I’ve come to this TGI several times throughout the past year, and always visit with my friend that has intolerances. Due to this, we require the manager to come over to take our orders as this is TGI allergen policy. On all my other visits it has been Josh on duty and we’ve always had a wonderful experience with him. On my last visit, we had a lady called Bella who’s customer service skills were non-existent to put it politely. My friend has a chronic disease and due to this has quite a limited diet. She tried to explain to Bella that it is an intolerance, not an allergy, so if there are traces it is safe. Bella’s response to this was “well shall I put you as an allergy or as normal then”. The way this was phrased was very abrupt and rude, my friend already feels uncomfortable and like an inconvenience when going to restaurants and Bella’s attitude worsened this. We both felt that we were inconveniencing her and she had better things to do. Our waiter was lovely and bubbly and fit in with the welcoming vibe that TGI is usually known for. Unfortunately Bella seemed to not put any enthusiasm or care into her work at all. I am a manager myself and the general manner of which she spoke to us was not something I would ever want a customer to receive. If I spoke to someone the way she spoke to people, it would keep me up at night! Bournemouth Fridays is usually a lovely place, just check who is on shift before you go!

In an age where exceptional table service is optimal for these big chains to stand out from the crowd, this branch of TGIs seems to be walking in the wrong direction! As this was the worst service I’ve experienced for a while now. Combine that with average, bland and cold food and you’re really in for a good way to blow a lot of money on disappointment. Firstly the wait for food is long, we were sat right opposite the food counter and we were watching one burger dish which was literally sat there for 15 minutes before the waiting staff took it. Rank. I’ve included a picture to show how many dishes were just piled up and left for so so long. To cut an awful experience short, here’s some highlights:- Asked for mayonaise 3 times before wit came over- they forgot the onion rings, waiter said he’d just make sure they weren’t on the bill- no apology or anything.- the food was cold (obviously because it had been waiting there for so long)- no check back to see how our meals were - Asked for the bill, never came, only arrived when they saw us stand up and start to our our coats on.- waiting staff team looked like they were just waiting for that closing time. - £102 for one of the poorest meals I’ve had in some time, with a service to match.There are so many restaurants in this area of town- go to any other but this.

My partner and I ate here without booking and were seated (too close to two other tables given current COVID rules). My partner asked whether a dip on the salad had garlic in, as she was allergic, to which the reply was no so she ordered that and I ordered the half rack of ribs. When the food arrived I appear to have been given a child's rack of ribs (I understand a half rack is small but that was taking the Mick) and my wife's salad had the wrong dip on it, this dip had garlic in. We questioned the waitress and she apologised and went to get the correct dip (leaving the garlic infested one on her plate). A few minutes later my wife said she could still smell garlic, it turned out the croutons on the salad also had garlic in them but luckily my wife noticed before anyone else did. When the manager came over and my wife explained the situation and his response was 'you should have told us of your allergy before you started' then he apologised. If you remember correctly we did inform the waitress while asking about the dip. The manager reluctantly offered to make my wife another but we declined and left after I ate my lunch. There is also a one way system around the restaurant which wasn't really policed so pretty pointless, never saw any staff using hand sanitizer after handling card machines or plates that had been taken off tables.Poor performance from the manager to instantly point blame at the customer, not good enough hand cleaning.

Having not been to a TGIs for a few years due to a poor experience we thought we'd give it one more go.Service was average, a couple of drinks we asked for over the course of the meal didn't arrive, but they still tried to charge us for them.Was also extortionately experience - my son had a full rack of ribs costing £20, but what turned up was worth a tenner at best.There was nothing wrong with the food, just not worth anything near the prices they charge.

Not specifically the Bournemouth branch, but won't return to TGIs ever again. Food is way too over priced and the quality of the food is rubbish. Starters were okay, not the worst, had the new Prawn Linguini and it had no real flavour, just a lot of spice on very bland spaghetti. Service was good, waiters were all pleasant and attentive. I don't feel any of the food is worth the money, especially seeing as most were around £20. Only went on this occasion as we had a gift card to use up.

Went to this restaurant early evening today with my partner, we ordered an assortment of starters and had a few drinks each. Whilst eating our starters a server (not our server) came to our table with our main courses, saw that we were still eating starters so turned round and put the food under a heat lamp! Considering our mains consisted of seafood and medium rare steak I obviously made it clear that I was not prepared to accept these meals that had been put on a hot plate after walking around the restaurant! We asked for our bill and was charged £66 for drinks and starters! No effort to rectify their appalling service. Having been to many tgi restaurants (this one being first day of our staycation) I have never encountered such appalling customer service skills and would advice everyone against choosing to eat at this establishment.

We were booked in for 4.30pm, didn't finish our meal until after 7pm due to slow service. We were overcharged and had to raise this a two times until the Manager deducted the correct amount. She spoke condescendingly and rudely to myself and a friend in front of other diners. There wasn't the courtesy you would expect at a restaurant. It was for a birthday meal, but the cake came after the meal in a takeaway box. Very disappointed for the price. I would steer clear. The food was good, except the meatballs apparently!

We went to bournemouth with my family . We are 8 in total. We were unable to book a table as there are more than 6 of us. New Covid guidelines. We understand this completely . So I booked 2 tables of 4 and requested that they were as near to each other as possible. I was phoned up during the day by a junior member of staff to confirm my booking. I asked for the tables to be near each other. She said that she was unable to promise this as they were booked up but she would try. When we arrived, the restaurant was only approx a third full. Despite this, they placed my teenager children on opposite sides of the restaurant. I could not see their table. I asked why, when there were many empty tables of 4 next to each other. The manager came, was very abrupt and said that all parties of more than 6 had to be split up and put on opposite sides of restaurant away from each other. This is to protect their staff and other guests incase the group mingles. A family group of 6 is ok, but 8 is not. We pointed out that if one of our family bubble had Covid, we were all likely to be incubating it/ have it , and by doing this policy, this potentially could infect more of their staff members as we would be in 2 places with 2 different staff waiters. Unlike other restaurants who tried their best to at least place the 2 tables near each other— this restaurant deliberately places you as far away as possible from each other so you can’t even see each other. It felt a bit spiteful - or maybe it felt that way because the manager was so abrupt and rude and she made no attempt to consider our request at all. One of my sons had to walk over during the course of the evening 3 times to ask us questions about things on the menu which made a mockery of the policy of keeping a family bubble apart. Our Food and drink however were the usually good standard but We were upset by the abrupt manager and this irrational policy which seems to lead to more movement between tables than would otherwise have been the case. I would not have booked if I had known this in advance. Disappointing.

We were seated quickly at table with a highchair as we’d requested, and even offered a kids pack although our little girl is too young and preferred tearing apart the menu instead! Our server was super attentive, despite being obviously very busy, and our food was served quickly and, as expected, was delicious. We’d made a silly mistake of not bringing quite enough water out for our daughters bottle, and our server was more than happy to help, topping up our thermos for us - which is something that other places aren’t always happy to oblige with. A great visit overall, couldn’t recommend it enough!

we were rather disappointed tonight by the quality of the food in TGI in Bournemouth. The food was of poor quality, bland and the ice cream was bland. We ordered a cookie dough sundae but this was very disappointing. In general, we felt this was not worth the price we paid in the end. Although we were glad this restaurant reopened and clearly the staff takes the hygiene abd Covid 19 safety seriously, we felt the food really let them down.

I ve regularly visited TGI in London for many years but in Bournemouth how terrible is food and service. Even the manager is rude and does not take criticism . Its a pity that such a good brand is wasted in Bournemouth. Our friends been there too and think the same.

Was away in Bournemouth for a weekend with my boyfriend. Booked table online which was really easy. Turned up seated straight away and was then greeted by our server who was very polite and smiling all the time she knew everything that was on the menu. The Bournemouth TGI’s has an awesome atmosphere, the waiting staff are attentive & friendly and the food is always on point! We love coming here during the week for a treat without the kids and we always leave feeling like we’ve been spoilt! The cocktails & milkshakes from the bar are well made & they have great choices. We often think we should mix it up and go elsewhere but why would we when we continually enjoy our TGI’s experience so much! Well worth a visit and highly recommended!

Visited for lunch and had a long wait for food even though it was quiet. Fajita was undercooked and I think they forgot to put the seasoning in as it was very bland. Didn’t enjoy the nachos either. Only gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the pina colada was nice. TGI was always my favourite restaurant but after coming here I don’t think I will visit another as I felt my money was wasted. Went to the Greek above for dinner and that was excellent.

Birthday meal 6 people , service slow , extractor fans broke we were informed steak was now of , hour later wait four meals came out cold ribs and two meals didn’t even come out , spoke with manger said nothing he could do we could have pasta ! no voucher to come back nothing we had to try and go and find a new birthday meal somewhere ! Took my girlfriend here for her birthday meal. Our server Fillipe was very patient and checked in on us with little hand gestures while we made our meal choices so we didn't feel pressure. The food itself was fantastic and arrived to the table in a reasonable time. There were no complaints with the food and the service was excellent. After noticing her birthday badge Fillipe presented my girlfriend with a balloon boi in place of singing Happy Birthday to her which she very much appreciated. We finished our order off with the birthday cake shake which was diabetes in a glass and would definitely have again. We look forward to our next visit.

We had booked a table TGI Fridays! But we arrived there 20min early! The place emp so we asked if we could come the girl at the door sed no we can’t be seated until our table booking time but we could go to the bar and have some drinks !? I sed we did not want to go to the bar as we are driving so can’t have lots drinks plus they are bloody expensive.so I sed can’t we just be seated at a table as the place looked emp ..... I got angry and sed I tell you what we will come back later the time we had booked by then was like 10min ! We walked up to miller and carter and the guy sed yep come in you have a table for a hr as it’s booked for later , we’ll we had a lovely dinner very chilled out sat by a window :-) so sod off TGI Fridays you lost this customer because your greedy

It was just under an hour from arriving to receiving our meal. The T Bone steak and chicken strips were very good but unfortunately the vegetarian pasta was uncooked and inedible and had to be returned. Shame, on the fay the 2 hour marathon barrier was broken!

Well embarrassingly a member of staff remembered us from our August visit - maybe because we were very happy customers and had kept saying oooooh this is a lovely cocktail, oooooh this food is great! So we were in Bournemouth Fri to Mon last week and ended up eating here twice - that is how good the frozen Pina Colada, the chilled lager and the rack of spare ribs are! Is it that we JUST happen to have the happiest and nicest staff serve us the 3 times we've been here?? Or is it because TGI Fris employ lovely people as well as having delicious food? Either way, when/if we're next in Bournemouth we will TGI Bournemouth AGAIN!

40 minute wait for a single chicken wing starter dish... 1.5 hour wait for mains (which weren't even what we ordered!) No discount off our bill despite both waiter and manager acknowledging poor service. Took the family to the place for my birthday and it must be the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My 1 son had the Meat ball penne. It looked like it was cooked in the morning and microwave before it was served to him. My daughter had a cheese burger of which you could buy a better burger at Macdonalds. My wife had the burnt fillet steak for £22. I had the skinny full rack of ribs which weren’t great and a corn on the cob that I could probably break a window with. My other son had a pizza which was completely burnt underneath which was replaced with a half cooked pizza.

After the most awful experience when it first opened we decided to give it another try!! OMG .. what an amazing difference!! The service was outstanding, the food was fresh, hot and delicious.. we had loaded potato skins and boneless hot wings to start, followed by the ribs .. absolutely delicious.. well done to all concerned.. we will be back again as love TGI Fridays!!!

Food was fine, but quite spicy in my opinion. I had the stack burger, which is quite a big one but probably not worthy 18 quid. There were lots of waiters but none of them seemed to care much about new comers. Probably because it was a bit late already. Not only was the food amazing, an an absolute bargain at £10.99 for two courses, and refillable drinks, the service was absolutely outstanding! Our waitress elly was Incredible, she made sure I had a new drink each time she saw I was running low, was so bubbly and lovely and all in all made my dining experience a wonderful time.
