I placed a Whoosh order at 6 PM that was supposed to arrive between 6:25 PM and 7:25 PM. Almost two hours later, my order still hadn’t even been packed. When I called customer service, the representative told me she had no idea when it would be delivered, as there were no available drivers. I was counting on this delivery for my children's dinner. I don’t understand why Tesco offers a service that they cannot fulfil. This is UNACCEPTABLE !!!!

Cafe is great but I was a bit disappointed to be asked in the cafe to better control my extremely autistic son as “other customers don’t like it”. I mean I get it, but I’ve come here dozens of times and it hasn’t come up once, and believe me as a parent of a child who has occasional meltdowns, I am attuned to the reactions of others. Now unfortunately I’ve got to add this place - which he loves, and is one of the few places he likes to eat - to the list of places where neither he nor I feels comfortable.

Dear Customer Service Manager, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received from Rachel at the Tesco checkouts. During my recent visit to the store, I encountered a level of rudeness and unhelpfulness from Rachel that was truly shocking. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially by someone in a managerial position. It was particularly surprising to learn that Rachel is the manager, as her behavior did not reflect the professionalism and customer service standards one would expect from a person in a leadership role. Her lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist customers reflects poorly on Tesco as a whole. I believe it is imperative for Tesco to address this issue promptly to ensure that other customers do not have to endure similar treatment. Customer service is a vital aspect of any business, and incidents like this can severely impact the reputation and trust customers have in the brand. I kindly request that appropriate action be taken to address Rachel's behavior and ensure that all staff, especially those in managerial positions, uphold the values of respect and excellent customer service that Tesco should be known for.

I recently visited the café department at Tesco Meadows and was disheartened by the experience. The introduction of self-service machines for ordering food and drink has proven to be a significant challenge for many elderly patrons. I observed numerous older customers struggling to navigate the new technology, with several ultimately giving up and leaving without placing an order. This situation is deeply concerning as it feels like discrimination towards the older population. Expecting all customers to be tech-savvy is unrealistic and unfair, particularly to those who may not be familiar with or comfortable using such devices. It is crucial for Tesco to recognize that inclusivity means accommodating the needs of all age groups, not just the younger, more technologically adept ones. Tesco, please reconsider the approach to your self-service system. Providing alternative options, such as staffed counters or dedicated assistance for those who need it, would go a long way in ensuring that all customers feel valued and supported. Excluding the older population is not only unkind but also unacceptable. Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to enjoy the services you offer without unnecessary barriers.

Would be a good Tesco's if the self scan guns would actually release. Scanned my clubcard 10 times and all the guns it tried to release were locked in place. Much prefer the way Sainsbury's does it. You take the gun and then scan your card not scan and pray it releases

Tesco Extra Camberley has been my go-to shop for many years. I must have spent the thick end of £100k in there over the years. I've just self-scanned a dozen bottles of wine with security tags on them. So far, so good. At the checkout (which is supposed to be quicker if you self scan) the assistant insisted on checking every bottle against every line on the receipt. It took about 10 minutes. "Policy" I'm told. This has never happened to me before. I have never stolen from a shop. I have no plans to steal. I object to being treated like a shoplifter. There are other shops nearby where you are not trusted and don't need to waste time and be treated in this way. Time to change my shopping habits? Just off to nearby Sainsbury's to see if they treat customers in the same way. Edit: Just been to Sainsbury's. OMG what a difference. Haven't been in there for years but recommend if you are frustrated with Tesco you give it a try. So much less frenetic, staff that at least appear to care and no line-by-line check of your receipt like a criminal. Downgraded my original review of Tesco from 2* to 1*, I have been blind to how horrid it has become over the years.

We do our weekly shop here most of the time as the place is huge and mostly has everything one could want (also nice that it has the biggest M&S I've ever seen next door). But the customer service is poor in the the queues are lengthy and you're pretty much forced to use Scan as Shop and then pack and check yourself out. So effectively doing the job of the staff for the company with zero benefit in return. When you're doing the self checkout they have maybe 20 machines on the go and only one serving and you wait for an age for them to support when there's an issue and/or you need them (e.g. to remove a security tag). They're rarely friendly as they're so busy.

I visited yesterday and found the shop to be clean, well laid out and clearly signed so that I could easily find items. There was a disappointing lack of organic fruit and veg. I do wish they would put all organic fresh produce together. I think I would probably then be tempted to buy more and perhaps try new things. I preferred the layout and ease of finding products in the food section to that of the newly refurbished M & S next door. I used a self service till at the checkout as I only had a few items. The male member of staff there (whose name I can't remember) was extremely helpful. I will go back there.

The worst ever shopping I've ever had in this store Firstly by mistake one item which it was a £2 baby crisps, wasn't scanned. Note as soon as we get the receipts we look and I would then return to pay it.weve had 2 under 2 with us. Because of that one item this women she had to UNPACK THE WHOLE TROLLEY that was a week shopping for a 6 people. For A PACK OF CRISPS I had to wait. She then put them back with no respect. I got mashed raspberries, flat and broken bananas and in top of that double charged an item. So she could cost TWO ITEMS NOT SCANNED. I've had more expensive items in my trolley that I could not scan if I really wanted to steal. At the same time I've bought uniform which I've had a coupon. She told me I can't use it on the uniform. WHAT A SHAME. Will find a different shop where staff is capable. Thank you for my 4£ raspberries that turned in juice and my black bananas and also for the double scaned buns.

This is more a message for Tesco. I applied for one of your driving jobs and had to go through a company called First Advantage. You need to be aware that this is the worst company ever!! I filled in everything I was supposed to and uploaded my birth certificate and national insurance letter, only to be told by First Advantage that I hadn’t uploaded these documents, even though I knew I had. I asked on three occasions by email for help concerning this and they basically wrote back saying “yes we are here to help you and have a great day” but didn’t give me any information whatsoever how I was supposed to fix the problem. They also took ages getting back to me until in the end, I lost the job. I think this was totally unfair and having a look at First Advantage’s reviews on Google I’m not the only one that has encountered this. In fact, this company has got one of the worst overall reviews I’ve ever seen on Google! Why on earth are you continuing using this company?? So unfair that I didn’t even get the opportunity to be considered for the role through no fault of my own. Very disappointed.

Had enough. They cut their own costs by closing all the tills, not allowing scan as you shop and 1 worker to cover self- serve tills. Tonight at 10pm-10:30pm I can see many workers and a queue of over 30 people trailing with trolley full loads to scan at checkout. They never went back to 24/7 and cut opening times. Also, the anti-social behaviour always exhibited without fail in the car park they do absolutely nothing about. Large groups of teenagers gather every evening staying for long hours, driving dangerously, doing high speed driving and donuts. Too scared to be anywhere near them and seen people almost hit tonight whilst crossing. How are the security team and Tesco's doing their job keeping customers feeling safe if they can't control this? No police are ever called. No enforcement is around to stop the behaviour. I guess someone has to be severely injured or get killed to finally do something Will go to other places to shop from now on.

Update 12/05/23 - they have now improved the entrance and flow of the shop. No more forced one way system, however the security don't seem to like anyone leave the shop by the front entrance and seem to want to see receipts even when they have no proof of any wrong doing to begin with. Not the best way to treat customers. Covid restrictions are over, and every other shop has resumed to normality except for this Tesco store. This Tesco has decided to keep really irritating rules and restrict the flow of people in and out of their store. Whilst next door at m&s you can freely walk in and out of any entrance. Tesco has decided that they want to be as unwelcoming as possible by keeping shutters down more often then they're open. And force their customers to walk to the very far exit even if they have paid for their goods near the entrance. It's absolutely ridiculous. It seems they like to save money on security or something rather then care about their customers shopping experience. Lately I just get what I need from elsewhere so that I can avoid having to pop in here as much as possible. Their ranges and lines are massively reduced so hard to find good varied items anyway. The picture I've taken shows just how unwelcoming the entrance to this store is. The metal gates are unnessesary and force everyone to filter in from a single direction as if we are sheep. Tesco management clearly think of their customers like sheep rather then people. I would happily change this review if I see improvements. But lockdown restrictions lifted a while ago now. And I've not seen any so far.

Whenever i use this store (it doesnt matter what day or time) there are never enough staff on the tills. It takes 10 minutes to do my shopping but usualy 10 or 15 minutes to pay (sometimes longer). There are plenty of senior staff with headsets standing about but they do nothing to address the problem. I will be looking to take my custom elsewhere in the future

What's the point of scan as you shop when it's always shut and you have to queue to self service for ages anyway?!

This place has gone downhill so much. Used to shop here frequently but now we only go here when it is absolutely necessary. They got over 40 tills and on a busy night like today at 7pm there were only 4 tills open... and even when queues got out of hand nothing was done... there is 4 self scan areas (2 for scan and go) and only 1 of the 4 is open!?!? There was a queue of about 40 people for the self scan and not even all 6 tills in that one area that was open were available... It is also a nightmare to get in and out of the shop, they close one exit after 6 which means you're walking all the way back to the entrance, then back to your car which is the complete other end as parking by entrance is only for blue badge holders (understandable). This is frustrating because it is a massive shop and walking from one end of the shop to the other is quite far, especially because a lot of the aisles are blocked with customers that are in the qeueu for the tills. Every time I do decide to come here I'm being reminded why I haven't been for so long.

It's ridiculous that fitting rooms aren't open yet and I just asked at the customer service till that they aren't planning to open it again. That making me to go back to Tesco for third time because I've bought couple of trousers my size but both had issues so I had to go back to get them changed and pick a different at the same size which is still wrong. And that's how you lose a customer.

This is a massive store, well stocked with everything you would expect to find at Tesco and much more besides. We called off peak and had no issues with queuing or congestion, but expect this will be an extremely busy and daunting place to shop at during peak times, especially if unfamiliar with the layout. The staff were friendly & helpful and the car park is huge with EV charging points, a car wash and petrol station. Is amazing the size of it all when look down the length and depth of the store with over 30 tills!

Love going to Tesco in Meadows. Lovely and friendly staff, always happy to help. I love the scan as you shop, saves so much time. Store is always very clean and tidy and plenty of parking spaces available. 10 out of 10 from me 👍🏼

Nice place for shopping and really nice people working there. But Hot Food (Grilled stuff) is horrible and I suggest to avoid it. Almost always chickens and bacon joints are not baked enough. Many times I've seen blood inside the chicken. Today I had bacon joint that was difficult to bite - so simply not cooked/baked enough. If you buy hot food - you expect it will be ready to eat - in here you have to take it home and bake it again to get it somehow consumable. This is happening since more than year - before that it was always good, so I don't know - they try to speed up the process? Or save money on energy? I don't know. Anyway - very bad experience.

Really poor service and false and misleading information of store hours, it’s say 24hr, but every day they open at 6am.

My husband & I called into the Tesco, Sandhurst yesterday. It was about 9.30am. As normal there was the usual enormous amount of on line trolleys, in store custmers are quite a nausance. We bought 12 items, then looked to get checked out. The time was about 9.50am now. We looked for a basket only till, none were open. There were 4 tills open out of over 30!!!! There were 3 customers in front of us with huge trollley loads and at least 3 waiting behind us and this was the same at all 4 tills. I tried to speak to a man in a suit, he did not speak to me, just waved his arm towards another member of staff. When I asked the member of staff if more tills were going to be opened, I was told there was no staff available for another half an hour. To wait 20 mins to cash out 12 items is ridiculous. There is always that feeling when shopping at Sandhurst that in store custmers are not really valued. This is not a recent problem, it has been going on for years! I can assure the management of Tesco, Sandhurst, this is just not my feeling about the store, many people shopping there feel undervalued there.

Barely any staff on tills. Due to staff running round shop with huge trollies smashing into people with no apologies. Management missing when needed and when staff are on tills they have 7 costumers deep, causing isles to be blocked. Appalling really. Shop elsewhere. Management shake up needed.

We were all soooo looking forward to our once a year Christmas meet up, for a nice Christmas dinner and good company. Company fantastic, meal very, very disappointing, starter great, main meal hard, burnt, tasteless, food swimming in gravy, believe all the meals dished up on plates and left in the oven or under a grill, how a chef can allow this type of food to leave his/her kitchen is not good, we will not be going back and would not recommend

Took neighbour’s lad for his 18th! The old chap won’t speak to me but spoke to the kid directly instead, felt a bit weird, old chap behind the bar, was lovely to everyone but myself! Used to take People with Learning difficulties there back in the day, staff were very helpful, not sure what the guys problem. It’s very sad to be made to feel really uncomfortable grabbing a quick bite. I live two minutes away, it’s really quite sad!!
