Awful breakfast, over cooked eggs, near raw sausages full of gristle, and bacon 70% fat, for a tenner! , could only eat the toast, won’t be returning

Waited 20 minutes for a sandwich. They were not busy at the time.

Most meals were served but chicken burger meal took 55 mins by which time everyone else on the table had finished their food. Awful service and the family had to sit and watch while the last person eventually got to eat. AVOID. Had to give one star as can't give zero.

The staff very friendly really really great!. They seems to be under staffed as tables not cleared and wiped down. The window sills the floors and corners around the windows are fithy. It’s the staff that make it a nice environment but really the Company need to deep clean this place and keep it clean. I hope the kitchen is cleaner

Friendly staff, nice food and coffee. It's just that the cleanliness of the cafe needs improving. Also there's times that the meals need to be a bit more hotter.

I do not recommend this cafe. We were waiting on the queue for ages - little we knew that after taking our orders we were about to wait another 30mins for our food. Unacceptable really. Not only the above, they have sent us chips on a full english breakfast - the hash browns were missing, so I presume that was their swap?! Who knows - it wasnt a pleasant experience anyway! There are plenty of cafes around this Tesco, I recommend visiting them instead.

Decent food for a decent price. Definitely somewhere to go if you have a little one. By far better than Morrisons and Asdas cafe and slightly better than Sainsbury’s. Staff have always been nice but at times they seem understaffed and stressed which makes you feel slightly guilty for being there.

Although the service was good with friendly girls serving. we had to wait 40 mins for something that takes at most 25 mins. We sat watching while other who where served after us enjoyed their food.

Always love coming here for lunch and/or coffee when we visit Yate. Staff are always lovely, service is great and food is cooked to perfection.

Great food and service - would like for the toilets to be kept cleaner but know it’s not the cafes fault. Please can Tescos keep ontop of the toilets as the cafe is a great place to visit.

Had bacon, scrambled eggs brioche, it was absolutely delicious, it was lovely and hot. Think the food here is getting better every day, I will definitely be back 😃

You will be waiting at least 45 minutes in a cafe that’s virtually empty for a basic breakfast, coffee will be cold by time foods out, if you value your time go else where

Decent enough breakfast, cooked fresh, not busy and took a while to come out, pleased there were no mushrooms or tinned tomatoes, I would have liked black pudding. Cappuccino, large breakfast and a can of drink, over £13 is a bit steep.

Had breakfast delivered...for over £6 the portion siz is disgusting its mote suitable for a small child. I've had a £1 microwave breakfast before that was bigger and better quality. The bacon was tough..the toast didn't look like it seen a toaster the egg was overcooked and hard and it was all stone cold. Hasbriwns only decent thing in box but was soaked in butter due to butter sachet put in box that was melted to liquid.

Not informative menu. The food is very spicy which is not mentioned in the menu.

Very slow service. Last time i had cake here it was hard as nails. Ive applied several times for a job here and each time ive been rejected. Ive got 12 years in hospitality and actually could turn this cafe around but they only seem to want to employ slow people. I personally wont be going into this cafe again

Lovely place, nice food and staff

The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are superb.

I’ll very often excuse a younger person learning a job, but the attitude of the cafe worker was crap, hence the review. Half the drinks were spilled into the saucers before we took them. Forgot half our order. Couldn’t make a Thai latte, despite 3 attempts. Made with coffee, then with vanilla, then a hot choc before rudely saying “well what is it then?!”. When he eventually took our advice and asked a colleague, it came out right, but took 10mins and zero apology. Tried complaining on Tesco email, but out of service and no way of responding. Cafe also left elderly person in toilet with no paper, and told their parter nothing to do with them, and to go downstairs, no specific location or point of contact, just left to wonder aimlessly in hope of resolving. Poor all round experience, and certainly won’t be back

I often come here as due to the nature of my job I am often in Yate and needing to grab food. It is just getting progressively worse. I have on 2 separate occasions had to request a refund as they are not able to cook a breakfast consisting of 1 egg, 1 sausage, 1 rasher of bacon & 2 hash browns in under 30 minutes. I got a breakfast here again today as I was on an hour lunch break, it came in a reasonable time however the toast was dropped onto my table (no offer of a replacement) and the food had definitely been microwaved. Everything had that scorching hot rubbery texture. The sausage was so soft that the knife just squished it down rather than cut it. I paid £9 for a “breakfast” and a coffee. You’re better off in the Wetherspoons down the road. Their breakfast is delicious and always fresh and only cost £8 with a pint of orange juice. You also get double the amount of food. Absolute joke Tesco. Also the cleanliness here is a real issue too.

All day breakfast served all day... lies... kitchen shuts early... typical no competition either... junk food or greggs... so no food for me today.

What is going on in Yate Tesco cafe?!! Lack of staff, orders not going through to the kitchen, tables not being cleared up during peak times and new staff left unsupported! Get your act together!

Waited 30 minutes for food, without being told. After 20 minutes of waiting, came out to say they didn't have the bun for the hotdog. Took them 10 minutes to make 3 simple drinks, and then made one wrong. Received two out of three meals, to which by the time the 3rd meal, came out the other two had been eaten. Not a great experience

SLOWWWWWWWWWWWW only had egg on toast and waited an eternity... Cafe not busy either. Christ on a bike ... What a disaster

I went to the cafe Sunday 11 th dec 2022 with my daughter and had to wait 40 min for food and I had a toasie and it was bread sandwich not a toasie . And it it crap food ,my daughter had a waffle with chicken which it should have been a waffle with ,bacon . Which was crap was well , not good enough and it was not value for money at all , I won’t be used it again your cafe thank you

One serving arrived after 35 mins, 2nd 20 minutes later and the third children’s meal not at all (after mentioning several times). How can you NOT prepare/cook 3 children meals at the same time astounds me!! Try explaining and keeping a 4 year old patient while everyone’s food arrived - eventually, but not his own. The staff even saw us ‘sharing’ the other little ones chips who had become upset waiting. The adults meal’s too, again nothing major, jacket potatoes and wraps - delivered intermittently. Drinks were long gone before the food arrived. Staff sullen and rude. The ‘manageress’ useless - in fact we got the impression she was hiding behind the scenes instead of dealing with the matter. This cafe at Tesco’s Yate isn’t ever the fastest, but today they put themselves to shame in their lack of service/rudeness. SHAME ON YOU TESCO, YATE. PS I'm not expecting a reply!!

it was very good service lad and one particular server with short black hair and glasses was very helpful and speedy to process my order and the food was delicious overall brill

The staff are always really helpful but really slow. I don't think they have enough staff and I don't think it helps that they are serving deliveroo drivers when people are actually sat wanting to eat.

Worst breakfast. Beans burnt egg burnt nothing was hot vile never eating there again

Nice cafe but service is super slow. People came after us got served before us. And it happens so many time and cant say its just an one-off incident

The breakfast is lovely especially after a good night out. Lovely friendly staff. The 2 chefs always work every single day and work very hard and provide really good meals.

Lovely Staff and clean facility. Ask for a hot chocolate on the build up to Christmas! Get all festive and they advertise these NEW flavors. Request one and they’ve ran out of hot child at powder. One thing people want around Christmas is hot chocolate. Transfer from another store. Go get some make it available for your customers. It’s a major seller closer to Christmas.

Me and my partner went here for lunch we waited 35 mins even though it wasn't busy at all to I order macaroni cheese with garlic bread and salad it was luke warm and didn't taste like it I ended up not eating it and didn't even get the garlic bread my partner ordered English breakfast and he was missing bits but also looked like it had been left a while as beans had a layer on top the egg was cold he ended up leaving his aswel and for the price of there food the quality, quantee and over round service was horrible there was about 7 tables with dirty dishes was there when we arrived and they were still there 45 mins later when we left avoid this place over priced and over round awful experience you get better meals in a hospital I would rate as no stars but doesn't give this option don't waste you time

Two members of staff behind the counter both with long hair and neither of them wearing any hats or hair nets. My poach eggs on toast looked woeful and the guy next to me his fried breakfast didn't look much better, I very much doubt that I'll be back. Oh and forgot to tell you about the amount of dirty cutlery I had to go through until I found some clean.

Food is bad. Service is atrocious. Some customers get food freshly cooked others have to make do with stale and lukewarm leftovers from the hot plate, entirely at the whim of the staff. If something is made fresh it can often be left on the hotplate for up to 10 minutes before a member of staff brings it over to you. It's not because the staff are busy, it's because they are all having a chat out the back. Just don't bother.

Cafe food is worse than you can possibly imagine... I "ate" with my 1yr old daughter at 2pm so probably lunch leftovers I suppose. Never again!
