Rude ignarant staff, don't go there as it's such horrible service and even the managers don't give a damn when you complain.

I shop here weekly and travel from Huddersfield when out of lockdown. The staff are always friendly and helpful, there is always plenty of healthy choices to choose from and the layout is spacious and well managed. The cafe staff are very helpful and the food is a delicious treat. I love the self scanners so that I can manage my budget and I appreciate the padlockless trolleys with scanner holders in situ. The toilets are newly refurbished and always very clean and there is always space to park.

I quite agree the food is OK but one female who works in the cafe never smiles. She is unbelievably miserable and quite sharp and rude in manner.

Don’t bother ordering a latte or any food. I’ve never got a decent coffee here. And today was the last time I order food. It always comes out burned or over cooked. My “festive turkey” panini I ordered today came back melted to a burned lump- all the ingredients were nuclear waste. By the time it had cooled off enough to taste, the bread was hard as rock. This place is a waste of money and absolutely disgusting. My sons food used to always come out exactly the same. Burned or melted to a mess. He used to order the macaroni and cheese (before they removed it from the menu) and it would be so hot, the pasta disintegrated into a bowl resembling porridge! Don’t bother eating here unless you’re absolutely desperate. The bags of crisps were lovely.

We have called into this cafe several times over the years. It never fails to disappoint. Food is mostly ok if it’s available. The staff however should be on suicide watch. One young lady in particular is vile! that’s if you can get her attention off her mobile phone. Don’t expect anything but a filthy look from her. I filled out a customer survey but no response as I’m she the managers have just as much interest in the cafe as the staff do.

This cafe situated within Tesco store Glossop is a franchise. Depending on what time of day and which members of staff are on duty at the time of your visit will determine the service you get and what is slapped upon your plate.

I have to say that breakfast is probably my favourite meal of the day and I’ve never felt anything less than satisfied whenever I have a Tesco breakfast, good food, freshly made a nice pot of tea and reward points on my clubcard, what more could you wish for ?

Tesco Glossop is one of the major retailers in Glossop. As such you would think they would make the effort to make sure that you feel welcome and every employee was of the same mind. I want to make it clear that some of the employees are excellent. The environment as you enter the store is not very welcoming. This seems to be the overall quality of the shop. Some of the staff are extremely unhelpful and surly. Which does not help the shopping experience. Once you have ploughed your way around the store you reach the checkouts. Only a few will be open and the ques grow longer. God forbid that you dare ask for more tills to be opened. You will feel the Indignation of the till supervisors who look at you with distaste. They may if your face fits put out a call for. multiskilled operators, which in general seams to be ignored. This is my personal experience and my views only Good luck or go to another company.

Just had breakfast. Plenty of it but the scrambled egg was cold and tasteless. The toast was only toasted on one side and was served half in the baked beans which made it soggy. Bacon had seen better days. Won't be coming again

Probably the worst Tesco around except for Tesco Hadfield limited choices terrible car park, but unfortunately very little competition in the area to encourage them to improve their stock. Nice staff though

I sometimes pop in here when im shopping. The food isnt special but its good enough and the staff are pleasant. The rest of the store is what you expect from a good super market. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Food regularly over cooked and left baking / drying out under hot lamps. Rubber sausages. Rubber bacon. Rock hard eggs. Dirty plate and cutlery. Staff didn't appear to be bothered at all about anything at all. The only positive is they are consistent, consistently poor!

have been to this cafe on a handful of occasions in the hope that things may have improved but no. i don't know what it is or how both the tea and coffee can taste so bad- perhaps it is the water or maybe the unwashed cups/plates they use. Try waiting at the counter to be served - you will see staff bobbing in and out from the kitchen area who completely ignore you. the staff then delivering your drinks greet you with a snarl and glare.do yourself a favour ..put your money away and nip to wimberry hill for a decent brew.

I never got the previous wholly Tesco cafe incarnation. You are in a supermarket, if you are hungry buy something to eat, if you are thirsty buy something to drink.

Very small express. Considering it is so small, I am surprised that the shelves are not full all the time. Every time I go in the shelves are bare. Staff are friendly, too friendly sometimes. Security staff stand around talking and not taking their job very seriously

I have been a couple of times for lunch, but doubt I will go again. The Cafeteria is joined by a Costa Coffee franchise and appears to be operated separately to it when it comes to service. The coffee is standard for costa including the price! However the Cafe food whilst expensive for what it is is, well, average really. The big disappointment for me though is that as I take about 30 mins for lunch, I felt rushed after a 5 minute wait to order followed by a 25 minute wait for serving. By that time I had finished my coffee and ate my lunch without another. The whole process for a cooked lunch and a coffee taking about 40 mins. Whilst I don't like Fast food per se, they were not that busy, so I had expected a swifter service than that.

Blonde woman who works here needs to learn how to talk to people nicely. Went for ice creams for the kids at 14:40 and on entering she snaps to not close the door behind us. I was only being polite and didn't know it was warm inside. Went to order some ice creams, cakes and a toastie but she said in an eye rolling manner 'we're not serving hot food' I said 'what foods are you serving?' Thinking it was something to do with the heat; maybe they were only serving cold foods/sandwiches? She said 'only cakes and coffees as we're closing soon'. I just left with out buying anything as I didn't want to be a burden to her 16:00 closing time. If the woman was polite and explained things in a less snappy manner I would have settled for a few cakes and ice creams (without the meal). I would recommend self reflection and possibly communication training skills (unless it is due to a severe learning disability).

Family and friends Sunday lunch. Roasts were awful; very very dry beef (only meat option); frozen shop bought dry soggy roasties; lacking flavour watery gravy and not a lot of it; soggy deflated Yorkshire pudding. My mouth was so dry after chewing so hard on the beef. Best thing were the boiled carrot batons. Lasagne seemed shop bought/ processed sauces etc, and the 2 slices of frozen garlic bread dry and lacking flavour. The sting was that the lasagne was around £18, and the roast £16 - the portions were very small too. Could get better at Morrisons cafe sorry to say! Service was friendly, and the free pool and darts made up for the very disappointing meal. We’ve been going to The George for at least 10 years and it was very good 10 years ago; good value for large tasty meals (especially the blue cheese burger on a floury bap with curly fries and salad for under a tenner - i know prices have gone up for various reasons so it’s not the price that’s an issue if the food is decent and a good portion, but I felt well and truly ripped off). Please improve as we want to visit more as we’re local and love Hayfield and don’t want to see another pub close (sad to see The Royal go - Sportman down the road and Packhorse are great! As is Old Hall Inn in Chinley) due to lack happy returning customers. Good luck!

We loved our lunch here, and the service was excellent! It was a big contrast with another place we tried earlier, where they halted service for 10 minutes in order to "catch up" - how ridiculous! We were made to feel welcome at Stars, despite it being busy, and couldn't fault our delicious food, at a good price too 😋. They're missing a trick by not having Buxton pudding on the menu though - surely we're not the only people who like to sample local specialities when visiting a place for the first time?

This Wetherspoon's pub seems to prioritise serving food fast rather than quality. We ordered the vegetarian burgers and it was delivered in about 4 minutes. However the burgers were cold and the chips were soggy and cold. Very poor meal.
