I had a bbq chicken burger, spiced fries and coleslaw lovely and hot and tasty cannot fault. The latte was cute with a leaf pattern. Staff kind too.

Initially totally ignored at the till. When we eventually ordered, the food arrived quickly but I had the worst panini I've ever had. Barely any filling and as dry as sticks. When the tables were cleared around us they were not wiped so food stuffs were left on them which would be worrying for anyone with allergies. Very disappointing and definitely not value for money. .

All the Big supermarkets do the same BS by constantly moving there stock around from aisles to aisles but Tesco are now taking the piiss by doing it on a daily basis, I take my mother every Saturday who is 88 and it causes her extreme emotional distress to the point it is causing her depression and Anxiety to the point she is in tears, this is a lady who fought for this country in the second war, and has a heart of gold and is a retired office manager of this branch, the only reason she shops here is because she still gets her old staff discount which they have drooped from 20% to 15% so much for staff loyalty! they don't give a shhiitt about there staff or there customers. Shame on Tesco's you have become SCUM.....

Waffles were burnt to a crisp. I asked for fried bread instead of toast and you usually do it but didn’t this time and instead sent stale toast with no butter to be added. Won’t order again.

We really enjoy popping in to Tesco cafe for a breakfast !! 😋 The staff are friendly and helpful, would highly recommend!!!

Please teach your personnel to make iced mocha! I just paid for what was supposed to be an iced mocha, but it was simply dissolved white coffee with ice, nothing like a mocha

Thought I would try the cafe for breakfast this morning, service incredibly slow and disjointed , I had posh beans and poached egg, toast like rubber and the egg hard.

Food was cold and greasy beans came in a separate pot but was fired in the food box so the lid came off and they spilt everywere toast was dry and burnt and everything was just cold and greasy dont order the breakfast

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. The queue was quite long and moving at a snails pace, not a single staff member had a smile or even a hint of life behind their dead eyes and I heard one staff member say to another "only an hour to go". Wow.....dont smile too smile too. The atmosphere from the staff just made the palce feel flat and unwelcoming. Food was OK, a portion of one order was missed off and the staff member had no idea about it even though its clearly listed on the menu. Won't return based on the atmosphere and service being slow.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon at about 3pm. The cafe was busy with a queue to be served. After ordering I didn't have to wait long for my lattice fries to arrive but some people were waiting nearly 30 mins for their food.

Really really nice food!! Came warm and quickly! Top quality delivery&food all round!! :)

Absolutely awful. Got bacon roll from here as Greggs was closed. £3.90 instead of £2.65 at Greggs. Tasteless chewy white bread with a small amount of fatty tasteless bacon.

breakfast not what it used to be. forgot the extra bacon (not worth jumping through hoops to request a refund, the system seems only to want to refund the whole order and it wasn't *that* bad) and it was all kind of cold. I wish you still did fried bread too.

Staff are always really nice and are always working hard. Me and my partner love coming for breakfast here! Lovely food and drink!

Went for food as kids eat free in the half term. Asked for a bacon and egg brioche with no red onion or peri peri mayo and it came with extra peri peri mayo on it! Went back over to the counter and was greeted by some woman (presumably manager as not in a uniform like everyone else) who did not say anything and just gave me a blank look when I explained I had asked for certain things to be taken off she snatched it from my hand. No apology given. Manager was despicable! One girl was running about like a headless chicken trying to clear and clean tables, and delivering food to people and do every other job with not much help from her fellow colleagues

The strawberry milk was awful and didn't taste like strawberries. The food was decent though

My friend treated me to lunch... Moroccan chicken..overpriced..3 strips of chicken..pile of lettuce leafs..asked for a dressing..given one satchet of mayonnaise....rice .. microwaved... disgraceful food..

Came with 2 of my vegetarian friends and one of them ordered Mac and cheese and it came with a weird lump of meat on the plate, besides saying it was vegetarian, we sent this back with minimal apology and they brought another which came in 2 minutes and was obviously the same one heated up a bit as the bottom was still cold. And no offer of refund. Not happy with the service today at all!

My order was wrong, i wanted a breakfast wrap an got sent just a small breakfast in a box

No egg and I asked for fried bread and got toast

Flat white had no microfoam at all and the sugar free syrup in it tasted disgusting. The breakfast wraps were horrible. Soggy scrambled egg, mainly fat on the bacon and the sausages did not taste right at all.

Food was nice enough but they only gave us 1 drink when we had paid for 2!

One of my treats in travelling 15 miles to Tesco in York is to have a coffee in the brilliant café. The staff are so kind and attentative. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you x

only issues were that i asked for no egg and still got sent one and the sausage was barely bigger than an inch.

Items missing, food was horrendous we had to throw it out .

gotta hand it to them I ordered this cos I could ready to find fault with it but it was great, even the black pudding addition…

We ordered food and drinks but the drinks were missing from the order.

Very great breakfast with lactose free cappuccino (which is really rare to found) arrived quickly still hot, for a good and fair price.

Ordered a all day breakfast and everything is burnt. Won't be ordering from here again. Maw Maw cupcakes breakfast only in the future.

Best ever - great service, great food - great delivery and total value for money

Arrived at 8.30 am with a fairly empty cafe but we had to wait several minutes without acknowledgement before they took our order. Tables were all cleared and seemed clean. We ordered 2 x all day breakfasts and the order was brought out reasonably quickly. There was nothing wrong with the meal but quality and presentation were uninspiring. By 9 am, as we were leaving, the cafe had really filled up.

we went to tesco cafe in clifton moor today...ie 21st Sept 2020 and was served the most appalling fish and chips ....the fish was a frozen one and uncooked and very watery ...my hubby had the ham omelette which was very dry and came with less items attached with the meal....he mentioned the mushroom wasnt on the plate..and by the time he got the mushroom he had eaten the meal..hence the mushroom came very flattened and dry and unappetising looking...When we tried to explain to the waitress she couldnt understand much english, which made it very difficult to explain to her...ok she offered myself a replacement fish which i declined . Shall not be eating there again

Excellent! Nothing overly fancy but what they do service is excellent. Lovely friendly staff who are extremely organised and clean. Especially in these difficult times in comparison to other cafes in the area Tesco York at Clifton Moor is by far the best.

We’ve used this cafe quite a few time just lately and found It one of the better supermarket dining places around York . Very polite and tidy staff and tasty food brought to the table in quick time.

The food was good value for money and tasty. The service was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Just got bacon sandwich and a latte had to take the latte back as the milk was off it appears that the milk had been left out all morning and had gone off when he tried to make another one he was about to use the same milk I asked him if he would get a fresh one out of the fridge they obviously don't put the milk back when they've made drinks also the bacon was all fat and very little lean I am diabetic and try to avoid fat also anyone who is vegan don't come here as the food is cooked on the same hot plate . It seems staff have very little knowledge how to prepare food and drinks and that if left out of the fridge will go off

When I asked if they had anything gluten free I was told that they could not guarantee that anything was gluten free due to cross contamination. There were flies on the cups on top of the coffee machine! We did not stay

Visited with family for a snack type lunch. There was quite a good choice although the service of hot food was quite slow. The latte coffees were certainly not hot . wouldn't rush to visit again.

Poor service 20 minutes waiting to be served 3 people walked out staff saw queue not one bothered to even attempt to serve by this time queue was out the door waited another 10 minutes for meal to arrive and even then the order was wrong Will not be using this café again

The burger was microwaved, to me that’s not cooked fresh and the poached eggs were also microwaved as you could clearly see when they were in the shape of the mould. Burger was like rubber and the bun hot and soggy, eggs were inedible.

Overworked single person serving, whilst 3 others watching, 35 minute wait for a simple breakfast with 2 hungry kids going slowly nuts. Had to clean our own table area. Considering the competition between stores, you would expect better. Just fix, the staffing, food quality and cleaning Please!!!

Plenty of seats, but they only have 3 high chairs for babies. Last 4 times I've been here I've been unable to sit my son in a high chair because they're all in use. I've pointed this out every time and they don't seem to do anything about it. Seriously, it's a big cafe, just get a few more high chairs!

What a shambles, this is the 5th consecutive Thursday evening now that we have not been able to get anything to eat, there is always an excuse, friers leaking, not working or just switched off before the cut off time for cooked food (6.00pm) we arrive at 5:45 pm So now we will be going to Costa coffee. Avoid Avoid Avoid.!!!
