Tesco Cafe in Plymouth

We got the pumpkin latte with cream and the hot drink was cold and manly cream and nearly any cold and we waited 30 minutes for our drinks and the staff was slow and not interested in doing people drink properly. And their use to many dishes not collected around the tables and tables was dirty. And this is the 2 time!!!!!! this has happened please look into the hot drink machine and see if its working . And better staff .

Baked potato with tuna was an old potato over baked & dry, salad was just leaves with half a cherry tomato. Halloumi burger had two very small pieces of halloumi with small bowl of chips £7.50 - absolutely no value for money.

I was very sad with the amount of fishing our batter as it was mostly batter,,not happy at all

I wouldn’t feed this rubbish to my dog, cheapest most disgusting food I’ve ever tasted. £5.70 for a stale sausage bap and tea. rotten meat. staff couldn’t care less. Left after one bite.

Very expensive for cheap food and not very clean tables and floors are covered in food and dirt will not be visiting again I highly recommend using morrisons cafe excellent food at good prices and very clean

All cheap ingredients on the breakfast most of it was cold won’t eat here again unfortunately

When we arrived at 4:40 (they close at 5) we were told they stopped serving food at 4:30. This was not signposted anywhere and the girl behind the till shrugged her shoulders and said they were all rotaed on until 5 so that’s when they close the kitchen. In my opinion this is awful planning and they should be rotaed to be in until 5:30 if they close at 5? This is unfair on customers and staff as we arrived 20 minutes before closing but were 10 minutes late for food! Make it make sense! Staff and customers should be thought of in this planning.

First time visiting this cafe with elderly parents. And the food was really lovely, restaurant standard. The service was excellent with really prompt and friendly service.

Food was good. Just let it down that some of it was cold.

"Barista-served" coffee is actually produced from machine using Tesco's own blend of coffee. Not a patch on previous coffee supplier - Costa! Constant promotional announcements over speaker system quite a distracting irritation! Far from a peaceful or tasteful experience ! 😌

The blonde girl behind the counter was so rude when I asked her how long the food would take she answered "when it's ready", if that's how you train your staff I shall not go there again. Having said that the rest of the catering staff were lovely

The staff were friendly in the café and the store. However, we used to enjoy Tesco food, but today both of our meals were cold and on cold plates. The breakfast was small and the salad with the potato looked bruised and limp. They used to do a top notch lasagne.

My order was ruined when delivered as my drink spilled

Coffee leaked and now have wet coffee food and half a cup of coffee. Poor delivery service

First visit to this cafe,we were reading the menu which unfortunately is situated above the till area,we were approached by a staff member to place our order,she could clearly see my grand daughter was still choosing what she would like to order,staff member simply walked away sighing and hit the counter in frustration at us,she was also very blunt when it came to choosing the drink with the child’s meal,won’t be back even though the food was ok

Awful, just terrible customer service from Jess. Came out from the kitchen to a queue of 5 people to shrugg and say, 'Alright?' Then served us with zero energy, we all felt like an inconvenience to her doing her Job. Consider retraining the Team. Coffees we had were poor quality and not made like other members of the team

What a disappointment. Ordered a toastie when it arrived only one side was toasted, the other side was not much better. Come on Tesco buck up.......

I recently found out that I am coeliac, went to Tesco’s with the children and the lady that serve me Claire bull was truly amazing so help fell gave me the right booklets for me to read couldn’t help me enough .. So friendly, caring and considerate. The kids also loved her.

Ordered two breakfast one with black pudding as an extra. No black pudding came. The breakfast was also missing the eggs and was freezing cold. The order was also missing our drinks. Poor service

Went to order, and the first thing I was asked was did I want to order drinks. I said that I wanted coffee but didn’t want the drinks until the food was ready, as I didn’t want the coffee to be cold. She said that they weren’t very busy, so there won’t be a long wait for the food - she made the coffee. After a 20 minute wait, no food, and the coffee was cold! I went to chase up the food, and asked if the coffee could be refreshed as it had gone cold; she said that she couldn’t do that. Not at all happy.

Never even received the delivery

Was served by a young lady who clearly had better things to do! Felt like I was being a nuisance and food wasn't great. Service was pretty awful

There was no eggs in breakfast when it clearly states in the breakfast .and was like warm very disappointed when they had been recommended to us

Usually love ordering from here but what was meant to be an 11:15-11:45 delivery turned into it saying it was delivered when it wasn’t and then turning up at 14:20 by which point I had lost my appetite. Really disappointed.

Possibly the worst chocolate milkshake ever - the loaded nachos were the worst thing I have had for years - inedible- UGH - AWFUL - AVOID

Normally the breakfasts are ok..however today the food was discusting. Toast was freezing, burnt and rock solid on breakfast, sausage tasted off. The kids had tuna jacket potato and it was freezing cold and hard throughout.

Yipee...it's finally be done up!! From the most drap cafe in Plymouth....to a bright and fresh looking cafe!! Lots of dirty tables, like that for most of my visit. The coffee still tastes like dish water! Shame they haven't upgraded it . The girl serving was pleasant enough. Won't return as you get better coffee elsewhere. A few good deals for kids to eat etc.

Marked down as delivered, have not received my food, Tried to call them and there is no actual option to get through to the cafe itself. Ive Put in for full refund

Food wasn't nice jacket potato's was undercooked and it took 40 minutes for are food to come I'm nether coming here again

Dirty tables and when asked to clean table was told we are busy. 6 table when we sat down with dirty pots on them. But when staff did come.out Holly was very nice.

Did like The food from here the last few times haven’t been brilliant but today was awful the flat mushroom was deep Fried and swapped my whole meal in grease to the point of it dripping from the bag the butter was left in with all the hot food so had leaked out and melted all over the box of food bacon very under cooked a complete disaster

Just ordered two coffees that were delivered on its side. Leaked all through the bag. Delivery man oblivious to what he was delivering.

Food never got delivered, no direct home number to call them, never ordering from this place again.

Everytime I've ordered so far, something has been missing from my order. It's really not that difficult to check the ticket, and if you don't have the item, my contact number is literally attached to your receipt.

We had breakfast which was well presented and hot. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Decor a little outdated and not much atmosphere.

On this particular day, the cafe was very busy. Evidently they were short staffed, however Hannah’s service was amazing. Her politeness and professionalism under the pressure she was receiving was exceptional and she made our experience at the cafe very enjoyable. Please tell her we said thank you and that she’s doing an amazing job:) From the girl who helped out and her family! X

Paid extra for sausage and bacon missing

Full all day breakfast delivered a little early (15 mins) - that’s better than late - delivered hot, nicely cooked and a real treat. 5 stars & thank you!

Good again. Maybe because I’m 10 minutes away I’ve having no issues but so far, fry ups are lovely

Arrived on time bacon was really dried out like it has been sat around for ages, such a shame cause I was starting to like this place

I was waiting for my food for over an hour and when it arrived the food was messy and cold and tasted horrible. I don’t recommend buying from here, I certainly won’t be ordering from here again.

The driver called to say someone had taken the order before him. He called again to say the cafe will remake and also called to say he was on way/arrived - he went above and beyond and am grateful he communicated and I didn’t just receive a text

Used to be food but don't recommend first thing, staff half asleep, strange residue under egg left wanting to go and grab a pasty from tesco left hungry. Discounted breakfast started out of the blue and ended just as quickly.

Tesco has had a beautiful new refit, the staff are very friendly and helpful, everything was immaculate and organised. Very clean and tidy and very nice non greasy breakfast. Coffee was lovely and hot too. Deffo be back soon a bargain at only £14 for the two of us. Thanks girls

This place is one massive rip off. Over £2 for a 500ml bottle of Coca Cola. Coffee was luke warm. Muffin and brownie were stale. The whole cafe seemed dirty and unclean, table and floors were sticky. The service was the only thing that saved this from being a one star review. Will not be returning untill this company refit the cafe to the same standards as the one out Woolwell.

Just an average supermarket cafe

Went for an all day breakfast, food took over 15 minutes to come to us,even though there was hardly anyone there, cups were dirty, food came out all was cold or luke warm, toast was rock solid, sausage was lacking, bacon was anemic. Very disappointed its definitely gone down hill from what it used to be. Overpriced, underwhelming, will stick to morrisons or hideaway from now on

Often the tables are dirty. The staff have a que and seem to get in a bit of a flap. The coffee tastes.....Ok, nothing special. There is a fair sized menu, prices average. Would only go there if you have a bit of time to kill.

I don’t look out for Tesco cafes but maybe a handful of times a year we all need to get the weight off our feet and draw breath in the midst of a hectic or dour day. This branch of Tesco has pushed its cafe upstairs almost out of sight and out of mind. No view either of the world outside or the buzzing shop floor. A modest selection of food averagely priced but no more enticing because of the usual substantial mark up from retail prices downstairs. The cafe obviously serves its purpose but I wouldn’t be easily persuaded to drop in again.

Please do not eat here. Sadly Staff haven’t got A clue About food preparation. Badly run Cafe no one seems to no wats going on .Sadly Tesco’s managers should be intervening in the running of this carfe instead of sitting in their offices reading the newspapers all day. (And yes I have been a Tesco’s manager )this cafe should be a Hive of activity instead it was empty I wonder why

Cold greasy food had to remind staff a few times for drinks that were purchased when they arrive it was lukewarm when trying to find someone to complain no one was available

If I were planning to kill someone, I'd take them here for a bite to eat.

Bloody terrible food was horrid cucumber wasnt fresh and lettice was not washed before handing out and staff wasnt listening too much to what we were saying absoloutly terrible

really nice food very kind staff and the food I had which was chicken and chips kid's portion was quite a reasonable reasonable portion and very nice it was cooked very well and I loved it

Cutlery and cup was dirty, dull atmosphere, had scrambled egg on toast with added hash brown, toast and hash brown tasted cheap
