I meet a friend here pretty regularly for coffee. The staff are always friendly and polite. The place is clean and tables cleared efficiently. It is has some Fairtrade items available which is always a plus point. It is a cafe in a large supermarket and, as such, does exactly what you want it to.

Needed to stop somewhere for a late lunch and needed to some shopping before a trip. There were a few people waiting to be served and my children were starting to get hungry but the queue moved quickly and the person serving was friendly and very helpful. The food came really quickly and for a supermarket cafe, it was well above expectations, in fact as good as pub grub and at a very reasonable price. I personally recommend the chicken burger and my partner loved the fish and chips, they have a good selection for children too. Can't wait to visit again.

One member of staff was completely rude C and made a different staff member serve me will not be going back!

My breakfast order was taken by someone in a mask but she was replaced for service by a man not wearing a mask. This meansI will not be returning unless all staff wear masks or the infection rates are much, much lower. On another note my fried egg was hard. This happened on a previous visit too. If you like runny eggs either specify this when ordering or choose something else.

Yes it's a cafe in Tesco and the food used appears to be the cheapest range going however you pay for what you get so with the prices being cheap then you can't expect a la carte! Our breakfast was nicely presented albeit the sausage could have done with browning more as it did look really cheap and processed. Service from the staff was courteous and professional.

It’s a cafe in Tesco it’s cheap and cheerful especially with the current 50% off food offer that has been running through August. Personally I’m not a fussy eater I have been here two days in a row now for brunch and had the all day breakfast for £3.22 you can not complain with a pot of earl grey tea and an added black pudding. The poached egg on my second visit was cooked to absolute perfection as was the rest of the breakfast. The two girls that serve are ever so friendly and a credit to Tesco! Highly recommend if you are in the area just looking for that good tasty full English fry with no frills.

I would not normally review a Tesco Cafe but this is worthy of a very good review for a quick lunch of macaroni cheese and chips. The COVID-19 precautions are all in place and the tables properly cleaned & well spaced. My macaroni cheese for lunch was good, the garnish/salad fresh and the garlic bread fine. The side order of chips was very good indeed. The chips were chunky, hot and crisp and as good as I have had anywhere. A black coffee and a half price bill courtesy of the Chancellor made for a very pleasant experience while I waited for my car to charge a little more.

I was going to have a coffee and joined the queue. One staff member taking orders and handling money and then making the drinks and handling cups and saucers, no handwashing to be seen. I picked up a bottle of coke and paid with my card. Last time I was here the young man handling the money was wearing gloves.

We called in for coffee hoping the place had changed since our last visit. The coffee was nice, the server was friendly. Unfortunately when we sat down at a window table, the ledge was filthy and had several dead flies.The female chef wasn't wearing a hat and coughed over a plate of toast she was about to give a customer. Very unhygienic.

We both had a bacon bap, it was ok - nothing to go mad about. Staff were pleasant but it's crazy to just have one member of staff to take orders and then make the hot drinks (slowly!).

One staff member on during the breakfast time and the queue was about 4 people! When someone orders breakfast and drink the cashier takes payment and makes the drink. This is a slow drawn out process. 30 minutes later the queue has disappeared and another staff member is behind the counter. When its busy one person struggles and when its quiet two people chat together.

We’ve given up using the cafe as it takes an age to get served due to the shortage of members of staff. Most of the time there is one person to take orders and payments, then make the drinks. Several times I’ve seen that one person then have to stop serving and go and get hot food from the kitchen to take to a table.I feel sorry for the staff, they are doing their best - it’s whoever thinks that this level of staffing is acceptable that’s to blame.

Why they only have 1 staff member at the helm during a busy week day morning puzzles me. And, if that person is working at a snails pace, it make it all the more unpalatable. 8 minutes to serve 1 coffee and 1 smoothie: In Italy, Spain or Germany, to name just three of the 13 Countries I have visited, that person would be out of the door toute de suite! The breakfast was good but, my preference for fried bread over toast, was not delivered so, that had to go back to the kitchen to be changed. No apology by the staff member, in fact a surly unapologetic stance; perhaps the position of restaurateur is not given the status it deserves at Tesco.

Carrot cake a little on the stale side, coffee luke warm. My friend enjoyed his Eton mess milkshake and fry up although bacon a little on the cold side. Expected this quality for the price we paid in all honesty. Rude server tho and dishes on empty tables. Would probably return due to the convenience, but not a chosen cafe.

The café is supposed to be open at 8.am. We arrived at 8.03, the café was open, but no staff in sight. The cook walked through at 8.08 and said the girl was shopping and that she would be with us in two minutes. We finally got served at 8.15 when she arrived back.. The Americano was tasteless and half cold although we did have hot milk to go with it.There was dirty crockery on tables from the day before and the whole place was grubby.Thank goodness we hadn't intended to have breakfast there. Ugh!

Wanted a quick snack so bought a toastie/tea - waited 25 minutes. A pale, soggy sandwich with a few limp pieces of lettuce arrived but in my honest opinion, I should just have gone across the road to the food van, a worse meal I have never experienced. I managed a couple of bites as I was hungry, tried to speak to the assistant at the café counter but as there are only two attending to serving both food and taking orders this was just about impossible. £4.75 in the greater scheme of things is not a lot of money but this was a total waste of money.

Just popped in after a quick shop. There was only a short queue and the cafe was reasonably empty. The lady service behind the counter was friendly and helpful. The cafe was clean, nothing left on the tables and it is light and airy. Not expensive either - a pot of tea per person.

I wouldn’t normally review a Tesco cafe, but just wanted to point out that the staff in this place were really friendly, it was spotlessly clean and my breakfast came really quickly - gave me a little faith in supermarket cafes ( although I don’t make them a regular go to )

Waited to be served for a while in a que of about two people, when finally served the manager seemed to be telling off the guy that was serving although he seemed to be fairly new he was quite polite. The manager made us wait to order so she could talk to him first making him look uncomfortable. When our food was served there were two meals that weren’t touched because the burgers were hard and could barely chew the meat. We qued again to complain and got told we had to wait because the manager was on a break, 15 minutes later we finally got our money back but no apology and very rude service.

Was doing a bit of shopping and decided to pop in for a bite to eat , like I said in the heading you get what you pay for both of us had the epic breakfast , plenty of food nicely displayed but not up too a very good standard , but the price is ok for what you get , although I would rather pay more and better quality , not a lot more I can say about it really ... average at best

Every time I visit Tesco cafe in Redruth, it is clearly understaffed. The employees are under a lot of pressure and as a result, the coffee is poor; very watery. They made mistakes with my order and the cutlery was dirty.

We ate here whilst shopping in the store; After ordering the food it only took about 10 minutes for it to be served at our table. The food was nicely cooked and of good size.

Came for lunch on a shopping trip. The big breakfast was positively the worst meal I have ever eaten in a Tesco Cafe. The food was just dripping grease. Two paper serviettes full of grease later the meal was just about edible, but even then the hash browns were still oozing fat as I cut into them.

When we returned to Cornwall and had no Wi-Fi for a few days this place was a Godsend. Visited every day for about a week. Staff were pleasant enough and what we had to eat and drink was adequate.

This cafe is a total joke! when I arrived there were no staff to be seen and while I was waiting the queue just got longer and longer. Once I had ordered my food from a girl with dark hair who was extremely rude, I went to find a table but every single table had mess all over. I had to clean the table for myself. Eventually, after what seemed forever the who I can only think is the manager decided to grace the café with her presence and went behind the counter to make coffee. During this time there were lots of plates of fresh food sitting under heat lamps. the food was there so long that customers were going up and collecting their own meals which they had to eat at messy tables. A woman who looked angry with the world came out of the kitchen and started to clear the bare minimum of tables and then disappeared again. This place needs more staff and better staff that don't look angry with the rest of humanity.

Had to wait ages for the girl to serve us .Chatting to colleague in Kitchen. Ordered two Lattes and Soup . Coffee was lukewarm and soup never arrived . Asked for coffee to be heated ,when she had done it didn't even bring it over to us ,just shout your Latte is here!!! When asked when will we get soup was told Chef had gone to the toilet !! Definitely wont go there again .

Good to have a café in supermarket. Good prices and coffee is fine but didn't think the general cleanliness was good especially the floor.

What an absolute joke. I had chips and beans and was craving onion rings. I paid a pound and got 3 onion rings. LIVID

I was served by a blonde girl today behind the counter. She didn’t say please when asking for money, when I paid she gave me my receipt with attitude, and didn’t smile throughout whole experience. I ordered two coffees, one of the lids she gave me was cracked so I politely asked for a new one, which she then exaggerated what I asked “cracked?!” And slid me a new one across counter with attitude instead of handing it to me politely. Will not be returning.

Me and my gran came to Tesco cafe today to have some lunch with my two children and I was absolutely disgusted in the service and the food! I have a breakfast which I could see was sat up on the side for ages waiting for the staff to bring it to me! My boys had the nuggets and they were awful! They didn’t eat them which was a waste of money! There food was hot mine was stone cold.

When we were in the middle of moving we came here on quite a few occasions for a quick bite and use of the wi-if. The staff were always happy and helpful and the food was good!

Called into the cafe mid-morning after an appointment at a local eye clinic. What was advertised on the menu as "Avocado with Chilli & Poached Egg on Toast with Tomato and Bacon' was possibly the worst delivery of what could have been a great breakfast combination.

We like to stop in at the café for a Costa coffee before shopping and have done many times. On this occasion, the tables were dirty. We couldn't get a skinny latte. No skimmed milk. This is Tesco for goodness sake, they have a fridge full of semi skimmed milk! If we had have wanted breakfast, we would have been put off by the staff with their hair hanging down and no hats. Not good at all. Shame really that it is rapidly going downhill.

Went here for breakfast ....omg ...the worst breakfast we've had in a long time ! ....slow service , cold food,uncooked bacon had to send it back to be cooked proper ! Dirty tables and floors and it was absolutely freezing in there ....not nice at all !

Went recently for lunch , few kids menu choices. Reasonable prices . Good costa coffee and cake . Small amount of seating for the amount of customers. Tables often dirty , unsure how often staff clean them

The food here isn't great but it has Costa coffee (and cakes), though it doesn't always have the full Costa range.

The coffee in here is good, but then it is Costa. There is a lovely range of cakes and snacks, including the usual Costa gf options of biscuits and brownies, and serving staff are always friendly. The only issue with the service is that the staff are run off their feet. I had to clear and wipe my own table.

El café ha ido en reformas recientes que se pueden ver desde el aparcamiento, desde el exterior se ve muy bien. Así que decidimos probar el café para el té de la tarde. Fue alrededor de las 4. 30, mesas de vacío que lleno, pero más casi la mitad de esas mesas quedaba bandejas en ellos. Una persona de servir y preparar bebidas calientes, otra persona podría ser visto en la cocina preparando la comida. Pedimos dos chocolates calientes y dos rodajas de rocky road. Ambos muy caro, el chocolate caliente era tan enfermizo que no era potable después de 4 slips ambos nos dimos por vencidos. La carretera rocky sabía horrible, como si hubiese sido allí por semanas no fresca como esperarías que fuera especialmente cubierto. Algunos más gente vino después de nosotros, el pobre que sirve como si él era apresurado fuera de sus pies, así que no me puedo quejar, pero pasar más de £8 en esta era un desperdicio de dinero. Distribución de la cafetería es agradable si mesas nada un poco juntos, la decoración es mucho mejor de lo que solía ser. Muchos de los carros justo fuera de la cafetería, hay sitio donde aparcar ellos utilizando el café como utilizada para poder. Usaremos Tesco para compras en ocasiones como hacemos normalmente pero no regresaremos a la cafetería.

Visitamos a unos 4. 30 por la tarde y 6 mesas estaban ocupadas. El lugar estaba sucio, con personal buscando aburridos. Aunque necesita una limpia. Asientos y bordes de mesas sucias junto con suelos y la bandeja de condimento en la mesa. Uno de los trabajadores de la mesa de al lado para roció nosotros pero olimos el camino y podía probar el producto de limpieza. Era un café desesperados y ponerse, pero ojalá no hubiese sido así. Café basura.

Fui con mi nieto de Sábado para un bocadillo barato. . Dios mío hablar mal. Su media de patata. chaqueta estaba casi en comestible. Piel caliente o re. climatizada a una nítida. Frijoles fangosa en la parte superior. . Tuve el peor pescado y patatas fritas que he experimentado. . llena de grasa/aceite/agua. Claramente casera de congelados. Sabía aburrida y horrible. Parece que el sitio es sólo bueno para una taza de café

Comimos hoy aquí con mi familia. Pedimos un desayuno vegetariano y 2 hamburguesas vegetarianas. El desayuno vegetariano era agradable y las patatas fritas eran preciosas y crujientes. Sin embargo, la hamburguesas vegetarianas eran tan picantes que no pudimos comer! ! No eran anunciaba que tanto...

Visited this cafe today for breakfast omg very expensive for look like and tasted re- heated in microwave the eggs were like rubber yok was hard hash browns tasted like block of lard whole experience was shocking no longer costa branded coffee using som random cheap bitter coffee of some sort and was nearly cold worst service and breakfast ever tasted did complain but they wernt bothered

Before the change this was an ok supermarket cafe. Now it is expensive for the small portions you get, because it is a Costa. Staff are friendly and helpful, however it just costs too much to eat here for what you get. Better off getting a £3 meal deal from the shop itself.

We've been here before and it's been fine for a quick bite to eat and a coffee. Sadly this time it was fairly poor. Food was ok but our friends said their portion size was a little small, mine was adequate. The biggest let down was the coffee my wife and I had. We ordered the Costa Lattes and they were just milk really, no coffee taste at all. We have both had a Latte from various Costa chains before and they have never been like these were. Hopefully just an off day for them.

I had fish chip and peas and a cup of tea. The menu board said "LARGE" but compared to Morrisons it was smaller than their "small". It had no fish and could well of been frozen. The chips were like cardboard. It took twenty minutes from ordering to get the meal. I have tried Tesco before, but have always felt let down. I know I must not make the mistake again.It is just when your a diabetic you sometimes need to eat quickly.The difference in price Tesco £7.28p Morrison's with a real large fresh testing fish, just £5.00p.... I must repeat to myself KEEP AWAY FROM TESCO CAFE.

This cafe has a very nice atmosphere, the staff are lovely ALWAYS polite when I go in there the food is nice well presented, have only had breakfast there, I like the way they do the food most cafes serve in front of you which I don't like, also it's all cooked to order which is great!

Popped in for a spot of lunch. Quite busy but the queue went down quickly. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Food came quite quickly considering how busy they appeared. The food tasted good (all day breakfast, jacket potatoe and a kids pasta). Only downsides were that the jacket came on a small plate (like one of the kids ones) and that and the salad took up most of the room so made it very difficult to cut any of the food without shooting some off the plate! The lettuce that accompanied it was fine and fresh, but the cucumber and tomato slices had clearly been sat a bit too long as we're both dry. The all day breakfast was ok too, except the eggs were cooked a bit too long (yolk was hard and not runny). The kids meal was fine though. Great value for money, but lost a star just for those few little points. Bit more care on food prep/presentation and would have been 5 stars again.

Great food, great service but understaffed. Food was hot, tables clean, and cool calm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit whilst shopping. Prices very reasonable too

Went In for a coffee and a cake with the wife to give us some relief from shopping. There was only one young member of staff on the front counter and she was serving and running the area on here own. She was polite and engaging and very efficient. The drinks were to a good standard however the cakes were dry and stale like they were days out of date. I haven't eaten warm food so cannot comment on the standards. The area was understaffed so it was not getting cleared very fast. Would recommend drinks and staff but as everything in the building is fresh you would expect the same in the cafe.

I have to i been to tesco cafe alot I love the food great menu alot to choose from meals are always served hot not cold I have to say the service is outstanding in this restaurant I would recommend this place for a full lunch break or snack so go there it's worth the trip

It's always nice to have a snack, or Brunch whilst Shopping, food is cooked to order, and brought to your table, Staff friendly and helpful, comfy seats, and atmosphere,

I took a quick visit with my brother for breakfast this morning, and the cafe as you would expect was very clean the service was prompt. Down to the food and the full breakfast is what you would expect for £3.99 and a good portion sizes and quickly served after seating. The only downfall was that the fried bread was too greasy but this is only a small matter. Would I visit again? Yes. Is it value for money? Yes.

We popped in on a whim as we had just had some photos taken at Tesco also and were waiting for them to develop. I was disappointed they were out of veggie burgers so decided on the jacket with cheese and beans. We also ordered a child's soup and fish fingers. And 2 adult burgers (1 for a child of 11 with the appetite of a horse!). We were sent bed quickly, in fact the lady had already put our drinks through the till before we had waked back over! We ordered our food and in total is came to about £25. For 3 adult meals, 2 kids meals and 5 drinks I thought this was very very good!The food arrived promptly and was quite large portions! My potato was giant and the burgers were almost super sized. The food went down very well with all of us, I tried a bit of the child's soup and it was very tasty. For a fussy child she ate it all up. All in all it was an inexpensive, very good value for money meal for us all and I wouldn't hesitate to return. The waitress was fantastic and looked like she was doing the job of 2 or 3 people (taking orders, bringing the food over, asking if everything was ok and I assume clearing up the tables afterwards).

On Sunday 3rd January with my partner and son.On queueing we decided to have jacket potatoes. On ordering told there was a 20 min wait. Jacket is surly a staple of the menu?I ordered a salad and my partner a burger. I then picked up an Orangina and asked for a pot of tea. I had to ask for a glass with the Orangina and then return to get it opened. The glass offered was a coffee mug. When I said "no I'd like a glass" the Curt response was "that is a glass". When I pointed out that it's was in fact a coffee mug the server shrugged and said "that's all we got" I was then given my tea. This was "slung" on to my tray. Then the milk was given to me in a small sauce pot. No jug not even a cup... A SMALL SAUCE pot. This spilled when I put it in my cup. Again asked for something more suitable. No response The food came. My salad was delightful. My boys food fine.My partners burger bun was burnt. As she didn't want the bun she left it. When she started eating the burger it was warm and the middle was cold! But had eaten most of it as hungry.When someone asked if our meal was ok we told her about burger.The usual I will take it back was offered.I will not eat here ever again.

we ordered two coffees and a bowl of chips to share. The coffee was ok but not red hot. The chips were also ok but not red hot. They were left on the serving hatch for a long time without the worker noticing - in the end I went and asked him if they were ours. Even though he wasn't very busy!The tables needed attention too. Having said that he was quite apologetic and the coffee was appreciated.

The recent changes are in my book a change for the better,the place is handy,well priced and comfortable....perhaps not to take a girlfriend but fine for a tired Wife and weary Husband.

Eat here quite regularly with family before shopping. The food is good on the whole - we mainly eat a hot meal. Kids meals particularly good value - fish fingers that are crispy and made of real fish, burgers similar to adult ones. Scampi salad and burgers always well prepared.

Popped in today instead if a pub lunch, very clean as you would expect from Tesco the food is not quite right, I ordered bbq pulled pork burger with lattice fries. The salad was not very good and the lattice fries were soaking wet as if they had been undercooked in an oven. The pulled pork burger was average at best and not a homemade burger pattie. If you want a quick bite then ok, otherwise make the effect to a local restaurant

Ordered a pannini. When it came it was warm pannini bread with ham & rubbery melted cheese inside plus a bit of salad. It tasted like nothing I'd ever eaten before. Panninis should be tasty, filled with interesting things. Seeing the other reviews it seems I'm not the only one to receive rubbish food. Also asked for decaf coffee but was told their deliveries hadn't arrived. This is Tescos, not some little beach cafe - most of which could outshine Tescos with food & coffee. Why bother to have the cafe modernized & then sell rubbish food. Will never go their again.

Only stopped for tea and a muffin but was disappointed. The muffins were quite dry and I suspect they were from the previous day. There was only one plate and I wasn't offered another when I paid. The choice of food was very limited and not the most reasonable price - May be because it appears to be more of an outlet for Costa.

Called in for breakfast, the food was hot and of good quality, sensible prices and good coffee. Ideal if you are visiting poole market on a Sunday.

Waited 15 minutes in the que to be served then the young girl walked off and.left no one on the till took 5 minutes for someone to.come out and serve then took 20 minutes for them to do my lattee, no cheese food was cold , no staff very poor service.

Have eaten here several times and the quality of food varies from barely edible to just plain awful: burgers have the texture that suggests they've been produced using mechanically recovered meat: rubbery and odd taste; sausage and mash was dire, obviously the potatoes hadn't been "nuked" in the microwave for long enough so was lukewarm interspersed with downright chilly, the sausage was carbonised on the outside and raw inside and all of this, along with barely cooked peas, was swimming in what appeared to be dishwater (gravy?!). The baked potato, again, pre-cooked and then popped in microwave to heat up, the skin was rock-hard. Breakfast - the eggs were totally overcooked, I pointed this out to a member of staff and it was explained to me that the chef had used the "healthy" method of cooking and had grilled them! Sitting next to them on the plate were two deep-fried slices of bread..yep really healthy. Give it a miss.

The staff were quick, attentive and friendly. There is an average range of choice of food with the prices average if not slightly more expensive than you'd expect for this kind of place. The quality of the food was pretty shocking. Everything looked and tasted so cheap - the kind of thing you'd expect from a run-down greasy spoon, not Tesco trying to relaunch its cafés. If they're serious about getting repeat customers, they'll have to up their game. I wouldn't recommend it.
