DeeDee's Family Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Disappointed went for all day breakfast under cooked and cold, staff need to learn how to make iced latte Who ever was doing the breakfast refused to cook anymore, she needs to understand the menu says all day and not when she can't be bother and they were her exact words!.The young men on front of till were pleasant and polite but manger needs to train them abit more not their fault at all But as I said the woman who was cooking breakfast was rude and abrupt even to her fellow colleagues needs a lot more training

Haven't eaten yet so let's see how good it is. But so far i can't have a piece of toast instead of an egg. Simply told "we can't do that" certainly doesn't cost any more than an egg and if anything takes less work. Will update depending on food 🤦‍♂️ Edit: Food came with an egg and brown toast not white. Enemic bacon and sausage and hash brown was like mush. Won't be back

Absolutely shocking service! Queued for 15 minutes with just one lady in front of us, all she wanted was 3 coffees and cake, the staff bickered and was so unprofessional trying to work the till, one in particular was just so abrupt and unclean and rude to her fellow staff member. We finally got to order ours, to be bluntly told “you can’t have some stuff here today” so we asked why? To be told “our freezers are broke and we don’t want to keep going downstairs to icelands freezers. We compromised and ordered other things, my veg lasagne was awful, luke warm, flopped on a plate, no garlic bread or salad. My little boys kids meal had cold beans and no fruit or drink with it as stated on the menu. We then found a flyer saying kids eat free with a paying adult meal, we approached the rude staff member and said we had been charged, she just said”oh well, I forgot that, il remember next time” and just walked off! No apology, no offer of refund nothing. So so unprofessional and will not be using again. The handful of customers in there with us were all so frustrated and saying the same thing, never again!

Good food and really nice staff

Wife ordered a BLT sandwich, when we sat down to eat ,on inspecting the sandwich the lettuce was old and off colour and there was no tomatoes when the waitress was informed she simply said she didn't make it and simply didn't care

Visited the cafe today whilst Christmas shopping in the Range, I will not be going back again. The food was low quality and poorly presented , most things on the menu were not available ( at 12pm ). Worst of all was the service we received from the woman serving. She was very abrupt to the point of rudeness with no customer service skills at all. Everything was too much trouble despite the fact I was the only one being served and the cafe having 4 tables occupied, including mine. She brought food to the table and practically through it on the table without a word. It was even too much trouble to spread the butter/ margarine. Shocking. I couldn’t recommend this place any less.

We've visited a few times now. It seems to be the same lady serving every time. I've little confidence in her cleanliness and her attitude is less than professional. She is abrupt and today's experience really made myself and my husband feel very uncomfortable. There was a clear breakdown in communication between the staff serving and preparing the drinks and snacks. The place looks dated and tired. The convenience of the cafe is out stripped by the poor unwelcoming service and unnecessary loudness of the woman serving.

if i could rate 0 stars i would. lettuce was mouldy, tuna was gone off, tasted like the bottom of my shoe. potato was rock hard. the burger was a frisbee. woman behind till looked devastated to serve us.

Well I am shocked this place is still running ! It has thr potential to be so busy given the store is always packed. We went shopping and thought we would stop for a coffee and cake. The lady that served us was very unwelcoming , rude, and looked unclean. She said they didn't have three different things before I even opened my mouth. The coffee was awful and the tables and floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a week. Never again

Absolutely shocking service, very disappointing as the lady working behind the til was coughing over the food, complaining she was feeling hot and cold. So it sounds like she shouldn’t have been working. No gloves involved in making the food so germs going everywhere. Constantly running through the seating area with orders like she was rushed off her feet and almost tripping over. Ordered a jacket potato, no sorry we don’t have anything to go on it. Just we just do cheese. The panini wasn’t very nice either. Overall quite dissatisfied

Took a while to be served as chap was out chatting to a table of women. Not very friendly. Tables have not been wiped down as still had bits of cake on them. Very disappointing as previously been good

Alright for a coffee and a bun when out shopping. Very good Eccles cakes. Plenty if parking with camera's

Visited to do some shopping and made my way to this lovely cafe (upstair) for a light luch and drink. Ham & Cheese toastie with a cuppa of good tea, which was refreshing and delightful. The environment was clean and not over busy so plenty of tables to sit at. Well worth a visit to relax and enjoy a break from shopping.

Nobody out at the front to take orders and when someone did come out she had a mouthful of food and informed her colleague she 'had customers '.said colleague had a mouthful of food as well

Went today got a hot chocolate for my grandson he wanted marrsmellow on top so I asked for them was told £1 extra that is discuting price .And the toasted s/w was the worst I've ever had never go there again

Terrible place staff was blunt with no manners or patience was more interested in her phone food below par as was tezz the lady who served us .....wouldnt use this cafe again

Visited Range and intending to go to the Costa at Trelisske Trading Estate but noticed the Costa sign so decided to stay in Range. Asked for two Belgian chocolate drinks only to get a blank look from the lady serving. Explained it was the weeks special and was told that they did not do Costa's complete range so settled for a Cappuccino and Latte. Then asked for two bacon baps which they did not do but we could have a bacon sandwich. The coffee was fine but the sandwiches were made with spongy whitebread with a rasher of bacon. Added to that they did not take accept the Costa loyalty card so I lost out to triple points. Not impressed at all and will not use the cafe again.

I had one space to fill on my loyalty card for a free drink. So I asked for 2 coffees, i.e. pay for one and get the second free as the card was full. "Oh no we can't do that, we are breaking the law! We had head office in and they said that we mustn't do that.". Bemused by this I wondered what they would have done if I had ordered one coffee, gone and sat down with my now full card, given it to my husband to go and get a free one. Somebody is pulling my chain here!

Came here today with my son and grandmother... not overly impressed. The cake was very expensive and where one lady offered cream the next demanded extra money. Overall clean but certain items very pricey and not really worth what you get.

Went here yesterday with my son and my mum, my mum asked for a ham and tomato panini and the woman came out with a ham and cheese sandwich which had barley any ham in it anyways. The woman who served us was too busy thinking about going on her break and rushed the order. She was rude towards us, wouldn’t recommend going here for lunch as the food was awful and witnessed a lot of people leave their food after just getting it.

We were in the Range and decided to have some lunch in the cafe. The food choice was limited but decided to have the Christmas specials. Turkey and bacon filled jacket potato and turkey and stuffing panini. They had to bring the food to the table but didn't being it together with my wife receiving hers about 5 minutes before me. Hers was the potato. Luke warm on a cold plate with cold filling beside it. No butter and the poorest side salad we've ever seen. 2 pieces of cucumber and 2 pieces of tomato. I had the panini if you could call it that. Panini are generally flat, this was some weird baguette shape on the smallest plate you've ever seen!! And how much was this culinary delight along with 2 coffees? £13!!! Wow!!! Never again. Never again...

Whilst shopping in the Range, my wife fancied a cup of tea, so we went into Dee Dee's café upstairs. Did not think much of the choice of food so just stuck to two teas. These came in their own tea pots along with cups and milk. For the price charged, it was not worth it. I emptied my tea pot into the cup and it still had about a inch (2.5cm) of unfilled cup. Very disappointing.

We have visited this cafe whilst shopping at The Range many times in the past and have come away disappointed with the food. This time, it was delightfully different! The cafe and tables were clear and clean, the tray trolley was clear and tidy. Service was prompt and staff were helpful and polite with clear knowledge of the menu which has vastly improved and that is a huge relief as we love to visit The Range! We ordered a ''make your own'' freshly cooked 10" pizza ... bbq sauce base, chicken strips, mushrooms, red onion and pineapple ... it was just delicious! I didn't have much time to snap a photo before 2 big slices left the serving plate! Lots of hot bubbly mozzarella topped it all for just £5.95. We shared this pizza but next time maybe one each? This is a coffee/snack cafe with a good choice and always with something to tempt you. There is a variety of hot drinks, paninis, childrens snack boxes and they serve breakfast too. Oh and not forgetting cake! Family friendly and plenty of seating. There is a lift to the cafe at the back of the store downstairs and it is wheelchair accessible too. The restrooms are close by and in good order. The carpark has plenty of parking. So pleased with the improvement, clearly a good choice in the change of management!

I took my friend to Dee Dee's as a treat while visiting The Range. No problem with her cheese and onion toastie, or the mugs of tea. However, my jackets potato (with cheese and coleslaw) was full of black marks which must have been seen by the girl who microwaved it as she had cut it in half to serve it. I took it back and was very grudgingly given a replacement, which wasn't much better. While we were there another lady returned two more jacket potatoes that weren't cooked through. I have reported this incident to Dee Dee's, but so far have had no reply. I won't be returning.

We had a variety of their paninis and hot/cold drinks. Very reasonable price and tasty. Friendly and efficient staff. Nice decor. Worth a stop while shopping in The Range.

Ideal place for a snack and a drink when in the Range or in the area. Prices reasonable food seemed OK plenty of seating.
