Tesco in Erewash

They took half an hour just to get our food and was not very nice

Waited half an hour for beans on toast with a hard poached egg on top. Agree expensive for what you get. Service slow and staff rude. Don’t wast your money and time.

Ordered 2 breakfasts this morning and the only thing edible was the beans. Waited ages before it came out and was told the plate was hot as it had been under the heater. Must have been under it for the 25mins we waited as everything was so dried out you couldn't get a knife through it. My friend gave it a try but gave up. Very disappointed as I've not had a problem before. No tables cleared and miserable staff. We did get a refund but left hungry and had to go elsewhere.

Expensive for what you get, sub par food. Tiny portions, even for kids. Kids garlic bread was rock hard even an adult couldn’t bite into it. Not worth the money.

Too expensive, very small overpriced portion for kids. Not every part of tomato goes in the salat/sandwiches.

Went with my mother today and they were only serving bacon and sausage cobs. Yes nothing else on hot food. The cobs were dry the sausage was rubbish and the bacon horrible. Also the lift wasn't working as usual. Won't be going there again.

The sausage was small, & needed more cooking. The bacon was just cooked, & had loads of fatty bits on it. Egg was just cooked. Basically everything needed cooking more, being cool, despite coming from the kitchen. Staff are nice, however could be more chirpy/interact more. The cafe itself is situated upstairs, but unfortunately can see all the dust on top of the racking within the shop.

Bought breakfast. Bread was stale. Smallest sausage ever which we couldnt even eat cos it was so hard. Couldnt even cut it

Only stopped for a drink which was okay, they seem to be offering table service now, but the seating/dining area is vastly improved since my last visit with some comfortable sofa's to take the strain off shopping.

Visited on Sunday 6th October with my wife and two grandchildren. We only wanted a drink and a cake but oh what a performance. There were plenty of catering staff buzzing around but nobody serving and one girl on the till. My granddaughters each wanted a cookie which were in jars on the servery. With nobody coming to serve us we began to think it was self service so I began taking the top off the jar at which point a passing member of the catering staff shouted out "Oi, don't do that, we do it" before disappearing into the kitchen. And so we waited again to no avail. In the meantime the girl on the till stood gazing at us. I asked if anyone was coming to serve us to which she replied "Come down here and tell me what you want". So we ordered a couple of hot drinks, two soft drinks, two cookies and a chocolate muffin which she went off to prepare. I paid the bill but when we got to the table I noticed that we hadn't received the chocolate muffin. I checked the bill but we hadn't been charged for it so she had obviously forgot I had asked for one. Went back to the till but she was now preparing teas and coffees for another customer. She saw me standing waiting but looked through me as though I wasn't there. Now I know I've lost weight but not that much!! Another long wait ensued but in the end I gave up and left. In summary, the service was awful. Staff who don't know how to smile or speak with civility to customers and appear to be totally disinterested in their job. Some customer service training is badly needed here.

Kind of did the job in a very basic way. Very raw and hardley grilled tomato and smashed up non runny egg. Fried bread was soft thankfully as I can't stand it when it's solid like a biscuit!

Situated on the upper level of Tesco in Ilkeston, this cafe is quite narrow in its layout but still has enough room for it to handle being busier than I expected at 9:30am on a weekday morning. There is a range of different types of seating and table sizes, and it would appear that the further to the back you go, the larger the tables are, the more comfortable the seats look and the more room there is between tables. The near end (near the till) is a wee bit cramped. The whole place was clean and the lady that served me was pleasant. Some customers were having full English breakfasts whilst others, like me, were just having a drink. The food, though I did not partake, looked very good. A pot of tea costs £1.50 and though it isn't a particularly large pot, they do actually fill it to the top, unlike many other places that give you a larger pot that is only half full. That is a particular bugbear of mine, so I was glad to see Tesco Ilkeston didn't pull that particular cheap trick. Another good thing is that they do table service, even for a cup of tea. You take your numbered board and they bring your order to your table. So often I have been in places like this where you get given an empty pot and have to go and sort it all out yourself using a system that is unnecessarily complicated and which does not actually save time at all. Ilkeston is a great place, I love it dearly, and, whilst I wish big stores like Tesco did not come to towns like Ilkeston, I am glad to see that, now they are here, the good people of Ilkeston have a cafe worthy of them.

Last time I went in this cafe it was a "normal" Tesco styled one. Now it seems to be what some would call up-market. Chairs are uncomfortable. It looks very much American themed to me, although I could be wrong. Food okay. Tea bags were awful, obviously the cheap ones used, but not a cheap price to the customer! Won't frequent this one again as sadly in my view it is awful.

Food was lovely. Good to have a healthy option.

The lattes are always good. Always fast and friendly service. Little annoying they stopped the blueberry pancakes though. Southern fried chicken wrap is perfect.

The place is vacant! Staff just look at you; when one finally engages there's not much service. I go when I want a coffee/tea to brace myself before a shop. There is usually food on the floor with grubby tables. Visiting Tesco, Ilkeston, is a challenge and not pleasant, but sadly a necessity at the moment.

Typical supermarket canteen. OK for a snack and a drink, bit don't expect a wow! factor with the food.

Friendly and helpful staff especially a lady called Donna. After visiting several other shops she came to the rescue and found what I needed. Many thanks.

Popped in for lunch whilst travelling with work. Large car park, large store. Very helpful staff who directed me both to the aisle I needed but also directions to my local appointment.

When oh when will whoever buys these things in - scones in this case - try the produce before foisting them on customers. £3.58 for two allegedly , cheese scones, which actually were dry sweet scones with cheese on the top.Ugh ! On the plus side the young lady serving was cheerful and pleasant and the coffee was good.

Después de ir de compras de Tesco, me fui a coger mi coche, para mi disgusto, no pude encontrarlo, un hombre de seguridad me ayudó a buscar y luego me llevó a la cafetería, conseguirme una bebida, yo estaba muy angustiado, ya que tenía mi difunto marido conmigo con demencia aguda. Yo estaba muy bien cuidado y muy agradecido por la consideración que recibí. Tonto tonto me había olvidado que habíamos dejado para un servicio al otro lado de la calle! ! ! Afortunadamente, todos nos divertimos mucho aunque mi marido estaba mal. Si tienes una preocupación de Tesco sus siempre hay alguien dispuesto a ofrecer ayuda y confort. Esto fue hace un par de años, no sabía que podía hacer una revisión o | lo hubiera hecho antes.

Like all Tesco cafes. Expensive pricing, but now has free wifi. Has had a lick of paint & new seating area. Staff always miserable. But is an okay place for a break during shopping.

The food was cold, 30 minute waiting on service, terribly run no organisation. People who ordered after us got theirs before us, really cold and horrible. Don't go there

Helpful staff. Everything under one roof. Club card point too! Great cafeteria with good food. Petrol station very handy too.

Ofrece una buena relación calidad-precio desayuno caliente, que a veces llevar a mi hijo a la cafetería para un regalo. Hay una Costa aquí, así que sé que el café recibirá será de buena calidad. El personal, que en el recibo son muy serviciales y yo a menudo han visto ayuda para ancianos y los carritos maniobrando por diciendo que tome asiento y tomarán su bandeja de la mesa que sentarse. Las mesas están despejado y limpiar de forma eficaz y que tiene un buen ambiente en el lugar.

Tesco Café que sirve comida caliente/fría bebidas, Costa coffee, rango normal de la comida que se puede esperar de un supermercado cafe, desayuno, pasteles, sándwiches, comidas, etc. Café está muy bien decoradas y limpias. El personal es amable y el servicio es bueno.
