Visited for the daily special and so glad I did.. first ‘proper’ meal I’ve had for ages and I enjoyed it very much Chicken & mushroom pie, mashed potatoes, cabbage and mashed swede with gravy - steaming hot and delicious Rhubarb crumble and custard for dessert (which I just about managed to squeeze in!) and a cup of tea - all for £7.50!! The staff were all nice and friendly and I felt welcome despite being on my own Well worth the drive and I’ll definitely visit again now I know where it is : )

I visited Ten acres cafe today after l had heard good things about it, so glad l did too! I have been there in the past but was very impressed with the improvements made recently. It was spotlessly clean, and the tables were laid out with a variety of condiments. The roast dinner followed by Bread and butter pudding was delicious and so reasonably priced! The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was prompt. I would highly recommend a visit here, l certainly will be making h this the place to got to on a weekly basis!

We called in on Saturday with our dog and was able to sit out the back on a picnic bench. My husband had the full English and coffee while I had scrambled egg on toast and coffee. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent with very generous portions and great value for money. We will be coming back for a dinner soon (which you can check out on their Facebook page).

As been said before ignore the view from outside and aged decor, the food here is great value and good quality. Full on a Tuesday lunchtime with pensioners getting roast turkey and dessert for £6. Large cooked breakfast, quality sausages & bacon, £5. Fed 4 adults for £20. Two ladies were rushed off their feet. They remained friendly cracking jokes with customers. Facilities clean and tidy. Recommended any day of the week. Thank you 😊

This is a local cafe to us and we've never had a bad meal here. Double cooked breakfast and a cuppa for under £6. Extensive cafe menu, very friendly staff and excellent value for money. Don't let initial view of cafe put you off. Police, bikers, families, cyclists, OAPs, truckers can't all be wrong can they? All are regular customers.

Where else can you get a two-course fresh home-cooked dinner with a brew for £5.50? YES you read it right for a little over a fiver (the same price you would pay for just a coffee) you can have the works, a gravy dinner and a good old fashioned stick to your ribs stodgy pud just like grandma used to make. This place is usually filled with passers-by, workmen, and the local bobbies. If you want linen table clothes and Mozart playing softly in the background then this is NOT the place for you. However, if you want a warm and friendly welcome, generous portions of good honest food then come along and fill your bellies....

Went to Cleethorpes with friends, looking for somewhere to stop for a cuppa and saw here after we had passed. Turned around and went in. I thought it would be a typical greasy spoon and I was totally wrong. We only had teas, I only drink herbal and fruit teas, I thought I would probably end up with just water. I had a lovely fruit tea, the staff are so friendly and helpful what more do you want. The meals they were serving looked perfect. If we lived closer I would eat here for the lunch special, £5.50 for 2 courses and tea. What a find. If you are that way you would be mad not to visit.

On the a1103 out of Market Rasen at Osgodby Top,stands the Ten Acre café.It's like a time capsule, but like JJ'S in Rasen, just what a cafe should be in a rural area-good,if basic food, great prices, friendly staff, and probably the best bacon we've had in a long time. Very popular, the staff are kept busy, with mainly commercial drivers and couples out for one of their special roast lunches -great!Don't go looking for a McDonald's,it isn't, just one of the few remaining honest to goodness cafés left- a bit like the one in the old Naafi Hut at Kirton Lindsey two dear ladies ran in the 1980's -aaaah,memories! Go and enjoy,it's still there, the bacon is superb, and the fruit crumble and custard at £1.50 is great!A real blast from the past,Thank you, ladies!(local history buffs will be fascinated with the site of the old Osgodby Top isolation hospital opposite, burnt down to control infection in 1972......)

We have a Hungarian vizsla called Chilli and although he is not allowed inside, we sat outside at the back and enjoyed value for money breakfasts during our weeks stay at Ashfield Studio next door.If you are passing or in the area you would be foolish not to go and have a big brekkie.... I have stopped here for breakfast before, but this time was even better, so much so I'm going to spend the time to tell others about my stop and write a review.Firstly, the car park is big enough for lorries, even though I'm not a lorry driver my self this is always a good sign for a café. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, also to make your order just how you like.I ordered the double breakfast, minus the mushrooms and tomato, in which I replaced with extra hash brown. The food arrived in very reasonable time, I must say its one if the best I've had.Even the price is good, not cheap, but not expensive. very reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. The café was clean, same as the toilets. Overall, well worth the visit, will defiantly stop here again. also I will recommend this to anyone.Thank you.

Checked Trip Advisor before choosing a cafe to have lunch between Grimsby and Lincoln. Reviews were very good and so we called. The food was homely and very well cooked: my wife had the daily roast (lamb on that particular day) followed by a very generous fruit sponge and a mug of tea - all for £5.25! (I had mushroom omelette and chips, cooked perfectly)The service was friendly and prompt. We would have no hesitation in going back at some stage in the future, as it represents superb value for money.

The Ten Acre Cafe is not in the most obvious of places, about two miles outside Market Rasen on the A46, with its origins as a traditional transport cafe. I would imagine in most parts of the country cafes such as this have long since died out, but not in Lincolnshire. So if you on the A46 travelling between Lincoln and Grimsby give it a try. The "small breakfast" is great value and the staff are very friendly.

Taken here as a treat by my elderly parents who said they had discovered a place were you can get good home cooked food, they weren't wrong. Excellent service, good food and very reasonable prices. A hidden gem of a place which is beginning to get more popular judging by the amount of vehicles parked outside as I pass.

A place for good breakfast without doubt.Tried many other places but they all fall short compared to ten acres in that they provide a BIG breakfast for a small price. When I wake up from a hangover most time I just want a big breakfast and not bothered about what plates they use etc. Staff are lovely and helpful at all times. Don't come to this cafe expecting to get fancy laid out food for a high price, come to this cafe if you simply just want a GOOD breakfast that fills you with incredible taste (and cheap price!)Come here as much as I can but it is a shame that it is shut on Sunday's.

Went many times during 2014 for late breakfast with a few friends. Everyone was amazed at the excellent value for money with the breakfasts. Which was why we kept going. The staff are great and only too happy to make any type of breakfast if it was not shown on the menu. One person who went stated he had never had a breakfast like that in his life before and could not get over it.

One of the best restaurant meals I’ve had in many months. We went on impulse to celebrate my partner’s birthday yesterday evening, having had a very bad experience there in the past when it was owned by someone different. The food was superb and the service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommended and we’ll most definitely be going again
