Great vibe with atmosphere created by engaging staff, feel-good music, a good range of experimental plates and good drinks.

My partner and I enjoyed the evening menu, it was well thought and with plenty of varied choice. We especially liked locally sourced produce. Service was faultless and attentive from the moment we arrived. The food and cocktails were delicious, we can’t want to come back and try more!

We had high hopes when we arrived ..a.good refurb of the previous restaurant Exhibition Rooms……loved the decoration downstairs too… The menu reads well and we were looking forward to the haddock fish cake and straw fries and the heritage tomato and whipped burrata….. 1. Cherry tomatoes from local supermarket with a spoonful of very runny burrata…just a few mouthfuls for 11 quid…..not even big enough for a starter 2 Tiny piece of haddock with a fried egg on top and some Mcains skinny fries….all on a small plate …again 11 quid. this place will not survive unless it ups it’s game on the food front..we left completely underwhelmed, disappointed and HUNGRY. Shame because we are locals who would have frequented with friends on a regular basis.

Where to start….popped in for breakfast looking for a change to my usual options in CP. Service was quite poor and the lady seemed unsure and distracted. The location is not really a offering a good broad based breakfast compared to others and is extortionate for what they offer. May be better at other times of the day but avoid for breakfast

Been in to Tell Tale for brunch, sunday roast and dinner now - an amazing experience every time! Inventive variety of incredible food, complemented by friendly, attentive service. The vibe is always chilled, especially on (roast and reggae) sundays. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood!

Loved the vegan and healthy soft serve takeaway options. The menu looks amazing, the setting clean, tidy and very attractive. Service lovely. Can't wait to try the vegetarian main meal options and other half licking his lips at the 72 hour lamb shoulder option.

Amazing little find, popped in randomly on Friday night to try out and was not disappointed. The cocktails we tried were fantastic and drunk more than I thought I could and the food we tried scallops dish and pork cheeks, both mouthwatering. We was sooooooo impressed we have booked this week again with our family to celebrate a 60th birthday. We cant wait to try more dishes and drink more cocktails. Well done to the chef I was watch him work and he was faultless. Seriously cannot praise high enough

Discovered this new restaurant by chance. Wanted to try a carvery and happened to be in the Crystal Palace area. Although the menu is limited it did have a carvery option. Service was immediate but not overwhelming. Nice background music and the decor is relaxed and welcoming. We had olives to start with. The main was a very pleasant surprise. The beef was well cooked and the potatoes and vegetables complemented the meat extremely well. It could have been we were very hungry that we ate it all. Noooo. The food was well cooked, and didn't taste salty or bland. I could taste the individual favours. And everything just omplemented each other. If in the area, worth a try. If not in the area, still worth a try!

A really welcome addition to the Crystal Palace triangle that seems to be gaining a winning reputation remarkably quickly. No surprise there as the food is lovely and the staff are incredibly hospitable. We were very lucky to get the last available table for two last Friday evening. The menu offered a succession of small, unusual dishes to share – the cure seared mackerel was my favourite - just fantastic, nicely spiced sitting on crushed potato. Really unusual beetroot and onion pilau. Lovely scallops and a great Ham/Pork Terrine – whoever is in this kitchen can certainly cook. Nice mix of veg and salad to complement. Great local beer, very good bottle of Nero d’Avola to accompany. New places often encounter teething problems and one of the challenges in any venture is to think about how they are overcome. The people at Tell Tale excelled at this – no Prosecco by the glass, offer champagne as a substitute; ice cream machine broken then the bitter chocolate tart is an ideal substitute – no excuses, just a friendly, pragmatic approach. One really nice touch – was the aperitif offered with desert, lovely drink; a welcome touch of European style generosity. On first look the menu may seem a bit tricky to read and it was hard to see what combination to go for. Don’t be put off by this, even though it could be easier to follow. Tell Tale is a destination place, and we will certainly return.

This little cafe is in a side street opposite the tube station. Unpretentious, with great coffee and excellent cake. What more could you want

I rarely ever used to eat burgers out... but this place has become a regular haunt. Highly recommend!

As I live round the corner I just walked in & ordered a bacon, sausage, egg & mushroom toasted sandwich/bloomer to take away. A few mins later when I returned home I will say it was "absolutely & incredibly cooked, sliced, layered & presented to perfection". A non branded local cafe serving great breakfasts using quality products. Overall compared to other cafes it wasn't a breakfast toasted sandwich that was just thrown together.

The commanding corner pub only a short walk from St. Matthews church in Brixton. Unfortunately, we were greeted with full-on football crowd when on arrival, but once the game was over and the rowdy intimidating clientele dissipated it became more bearable. Bizarrely they don't sell prosecco in large bottles, only expensive tiddly ones. The kitchen was broken or having a day off.
