Lovely place. Great value food and lovely cakes. I see the covert narcissists are rife, even down to judging the tea 6/10...really, well let it stew for longer then. The wait is not the fault of the staff. Those who have never worked in this setting then don't complain or at least volunteer to, then see how well you can do!! This is the best bakers I've ever been to and one of my favourites in Barton. Keep up the good work,😊

Quirky, old style cafe..... and non-the-worse for that. I had a reasonable bean to cup coffee (probably 6/10, could have been stronger) and full breakfast. The sausages on the breakfast were proper sausages and the bacon was excellent. Service was good, staff were pleasant and prices were very reasonable. Worth going, if only to people watch.

Came for a quick lunch for four of us. Everyone had a sandwich and drink and it came to under £18. Amazing prices. Service was quick, especially considering sandwiches were made fresh. Bread was good and fresh, fillings were quality meats, fresh salads. So impressed we took bought some cakes to take away- again where else can you get 8 decent sized cakes to go for under £8. Will definitely come back again.

Disappointing is not the word....2 breakfasts 1 tea 1 coke ...45 min wait even though only 2 tables in burnt sausage to a point they had disintegrated inside their skin...bacon burnt and undercooked at the same time?? Fries egg hard and burnt...mushrooms which I paid extra for cold....cup of tea arrived half way through eating the so called breakfast.....absolute farce

Ignore previous rating-some bitter old people about. Bread is baked to perfection, craft baker. They might charge you £10 for a carrier bag haha but it lasts a week or two. Great banter with staff, they are lovely, funny, odd one is a bit odd and flat, but so typical of Lincolnshire-try the egg custard its the dogs '' '' and the frangipane..trifle is divine

The saving grace here is their beauitful coffe but the food side is rather low key and quite frugal, overall, with little thought being applied to the presenattion and staff attitude.

A pub can’t that handle being busy and had bad stop the food service, woooow! booked a table for tonight, and we was kindly walked over to the table where we asked where we order food, and was advised that it was at the bar, which is all good. we looked over the menu & went up the bar to be told that they are no longer serving food!! tell me why you told us we can order at the bar and we told the lady that we was ordering food. disappointment is such an understatement.

The shop is nice, usually relatively clean and the coffees are nice. My only issue is the toilets and some of the staff. The toilet door is broken and if someone tries to open it the door opens on you. Some of the staff are nice such as the tall man and the brunette BM lady. They smile and joke with the customers. However, the lady with blonde/dark blonde hair who is usually on till doesn't smile, or show that she cares about her job, 9 times out of 10 she is stood about while the other baristas do the work.

Top marks all round, 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, 10/10, 👍👍. Usually when I have to work away I end up in a Travelodge or similar hotel chain because it's generally easier for the office to book etc. This time I found myself working at the Port and found this little gem. It must be a reasonable price because there was no grumbling from said office and they even paid for my breakfasts. I received a very pleasant, happy and friendly greeting when I checked in, Stephen (or Steven) is a superb host/landlord. I was shown to my room which was more than adequate, the beds and also the bedding were very comfortable and the bathroom with the great big shower head and hot water was just the ticket after work. True there's not a great deal of local facilities you are basically on a road with a pub and a local corner shop, but the food in the pub is very good, (I can definitely recommend the fish and chips) there's dartboards and a pool table. Breakfasts are spot on very tasty, Bacon, Sausages, scrambled eggs, beans, hash browns, tomato, mushrooms and toast, washed down with a glass of orange juice and a good size pot of tea or coffee. I've stayed on 2 separate occasions and it will be my first choice in the future if I'm working that way again.
