A beautiful spot right on the river. The Corn Store is full of fun things to browse in the antiques shop and delicious things to eat in the tearoom. I’m lucky to live locally and visit often with my husband and young son. Helen and her team do a wonderful job!

Wonderful place for a good mooch around Helen’s gorgeous store. Always wondered where she went after Home To Roost in Horsham quite a few years back-lovely to see you Helen. the corn store pulborough the lady's behind the till in cafe were lovely but old lady behind till In shop was horrible. today we went into the cafe and ask if parrots were allowed in the staff behind the till said yes as long as they don't fly. we said that's fine as they don't fly but we're in bird bags anyway. we sat down, spent a fair bit of money, then before we were leaving the old stuck up lady said you aren't allowed in here anymore as your bird screeched twice and other customers were annoyed. we asked the other customers if our birds were annoying them and they all said we didn't even realise you had birds in here. when actually they have all double doors open with screaming motor bikes going passed so you can't hear eachother talk and the lorry's are vivrating the whole place. she gave us horrible eye contact the whole time to make us feel uncomfortable. I said to the lady you've let dogs in here what happens if they bark? sh replied with they will be kicked out too if they bark and same wih noisy children. food was awful (which I'm more than happy to diguss) she was very rude and we was spoken to disgustingly. There were 6 people that's happy to vouch my opinion so more than happy to explain further. so please be aware this is not an animal or children friendly place.

I come here regularly as the cakes are amazing and the sandwiches always fresh. I was shocked to read the previous review as I treat myself to a slice of cake whenever I go and it has never been stale. I love the atmosphere in this little tearoom. That’s it we’ve given up!When Gemma had this lovely tearoom it was absolutely spotless, warm, fresh and cozy.Sadly today it has become grubby, cold, soulless, and the portion sizes have halved for twice the money.Staff evidently didn’t want to be there with the vibes passed to the customers ( well us and one other table on a mid afternoon Saturday).Gemmas cakes were mouthwateringly fresh, today’s were stale and old.

Firstly it is always good to get an itemised bill. We ordered two teapots, two light lunches (veg tart and salad, coronation chicken with jacket), and two cakes. The bill came to £25.35 which was probably right but it is nice to check. This figure was written on a piece of paper and we were sent to the other till to pay it. When the tea arrived we noticed a brown rim on the inside of one of the cups. Perhaps it had ended up in the wrong pile in the kitchen but it had not been washed properly so had to get this changed . Not a good sign in these days of Covid. I then noticed that both the little pots of tea were only just over half full - why? We did not complain about this too as did not want to spoil the experience. Our food came and quite modest potions. The jacket potato was a bit yellow on the inside as if it had been baked to an inch of it's life, the coronation chicken was good and my wife's veg tart was quite tasty. I was still hungry at the end so I ordered a veg tart too .£ 5.95 . I also brought the tea pots back for a top up of water (and was asked if we wanted tea? ) and then noticed that they had given us about a third of a pot of water. After spending £31 you would have thought that would have been okay but water must be mighty expensive in Pulborough. My feeling was that overall it was okay but a bit mean spirited. It is not the sort of place that you would go out of your way to drive to, but if you are thirsty and peckish in Pulborough it is in a good location.

Really nice little cafe for a light lunch (toasted ciabattas, that kind of thing). But the main attraction is that it is within a set of many little stall holders of antiques and collectibles to browse around. We’ve recently just moved to Pulborough and I bought an old French over mantle mirror, which I have repainted (there is also a stall holder with Frenchic paint!) and a ship’s washing dolly to hang things off for our new [old] house. There are nice handmade gifts, jewellery and so on, as well. Parking is a bit tricky as walking down from the main car park in Pulborough (behind the High St; Lower Street) is a good ten min walk maybe longer. There is a small amount of parking over the little bridge right next to the Corn Store, where, in the warmer months, the water sports are based.

Rude staff and unwelcoming customer service. Made to wait to order and then told they were not serving food due to being too busy, even though some tables were empty and other tables clearly had food. Felt shunned and will not be returning, which is a shame given all the good reviews for this place.

Wow where to start, this place was recommended, by a lady in shoreham, so I dragged the family out on a very hot day 31 degrees! We found it really easy, small car park, but another car park just over the bridge, it was huge inside, and more to see on the first floor, we did it in two stages, downstairs first, then lunch, we had veggie quiche, it was home made and delicious, with a lovely brightly coloured salad, coleslaw, potato salad, scrumptious, staff were lovely ,helpful, and friendly, we sat inside, but there was seating outside, it’s right by the river, very picturesque, we did the upstairs, a very unusual mix of old and new, we made a few purchase,s and made our way over the bridge taking in the beautiful surroundings. We will definitely return soon and recommend it to friends and family. X

My husband and I have lunched here twice in the last few months and on both occasions the BLT we both chose have been excellent. We are particularly impressed by the fact the food is freshly made to order and of really good quality (we are so fussy about bread, we make our own!). Even the side salad was fresh and tasty. So many cafes, particularly the national chains let themselves down by buying in pre-prepared sandwiches that are kept so cold they don’t taste of anything, we had pretty much given up eating lunch out, but our faith in good quality, simple (I mean this in a positive way!) fare has been restored.

I'm a regular here, the food is excellent and arrives promptly, friendly staff and a good selection of dishes. I would highly recommend this place to take friends or family for a lovely lunch or coffee followed by a browse around the lovely interesting shop.

Always been one of our favourite places to visit as the cakes are absolutely scrumptious and we always buy extra ones to take home.Very good vintage/antique shop adjacent which is full of highly interesting finds at very reasonable prices.

We enjoyed a family sandwich lunch in the store, plenty of interesting stands to look at on the ground and first floor with the eatery at the rear on the fground floor. Parking was easy and also a great view of the river Arun and a stone bridge (C. 1700). The lunch was homemade carefully prepared very speedily and nicely presented. Excellet coffees and tea. An extensive menu to choose from to cater for all tastes and can be thoroughly recommended.Thank you for a really enjoyable lunch. Will be back.

It's a place where time stood still somewhere to meander and reminisce about the past. Don't forget to bring your money as no one leaves without taking a priceless possession away with them. Don't forget the lovely tearoom with some nice choices to savour. Have a lovely time!!

My partner and I travelled 60 miles to go to this tea room. It was a bank holiday Monday so we checked their opening hours they advertise that they are open till 4pm every day "including bank holidays".We arrived at 3.10pm but they refused to serve us because they "Decided to close early." I spoke to a young man and explained we had travelled a long way and had checked their opening hours before doing so. He rather curtly replied "Sorry about that". None of the staff seemed at all interested. I pointed out to them that there was also a sign in their window stating their hours of trading as being open till 4pm on bank holidays, but they refused to serve us and unable to find anywhere else to eat locally, we went home hungry. The round trip took us 3 1/2 hours plus the cost of petrol and it ruined our day out, so I wrote an email to the owner Emma Church explaining what had happened. She did not have the courtesy to reply. As nice as this place may be, they have a lot to learn about customer service.

A really lovely place to find really different gifts or pieces of furniture from antique to modern. Lots of little stalls selling old and new and quirky. You never know what you will find! Lovely tea room - sandwiches, scones, tea cakes. Lovely tea and coffee - in a beautiful setting. What's not to like?

We had a very tasty Sunday lunch with our family. The Landlady and team were all lovely and made us very welcome; happily accommodating our 6 month grandson and his pushchair with absolutely no difficulty.

On a Monday, for the first time and with my daughter Laura, we had lunch at Crates and it was out of this world. The food was delicious, the products were fresh and last but not least, the staff was extremely friendly and what's more very helpful, especially Cheryl, Nina and Lisa who also happens to be the owner.
