The venue is now called the ‘Barrow Street Cafe’. It is a simple, humble place which does all day breakfasts. Very good poached eggs on toasts. Dog friendly and keen to cater for the various allergies and aversions people seem to have these days. Good prices, friendly.

Called in for a tea and lunch bite looked OK but Waiting a very long time for the food the waitress was so embarrassed she brought a free extra pot of tea as the first was cold by the time the food arrived...no explanation why Welsh rabbit consisted of one slice of very badly burnt toast and a few leaves my partner would not let me send it back The issue is chef or cook you know what you have prepared cooked burnt...don't send out sub standard food

My family and I visit the tea junction quite regularly. Every time we go the food gets better and better! Clearly the chef knows what they are doing! Italian eggs and all sandwiches are to die for! Clearly all homemade and fresh. All cakes are amazing (especially the brownie warmed up with cream 😍). Will go out of my way to take a trip to much wenlock especially for this lovely cafe! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting wenlock!

New owners and unfortunately in our opinion not as nice as it used to be. Tablecloths have gone, general homely ambiance and feel have gone. Couldn’t get a cheese and onion sandwich at lunchtime as no onion prepared? Asked for sugar for one person and one lump of white sugar was delivered to us in a sugar bowl. On next visit asked for sugar for two persons and received two lumps of white sugar. Previous staff wore smart but simple uniforms which looked clean and professional.

As part of a coach tour visiting Much Wentlock. we called into here last week and the lady serving was very friendly, even though they were busy. We had tea & cakes (huge slices of Carrot Cake & Lemon Drizzle) and everything was very good. They ensured that all there customers completed the track & trace form/QR code and hand-sanitised before sitting at a table. We were very impressed and would definitely recommend.

Took a friend for breakfast a few weeks ago. Great food fabulous service on very busy Saturday morning by two excellent young men. Felt very Covid safe.Took another friend for lunch we were spoken to very rudely by a female on arrival. So upsetting to be greeted to like that. Lady did speak to us and seemed to be very upset at how busy they had been and I can understand she was probably stressed and exhausted. Such a shame.,

Unfortunately, when we arrived we found the place to be cold and also no one came to our table after sitting there for a good 10 minutes! After asking if someone could take our order , we were bitterly disappointed to see that their cakes were not at all appetising as they were dried up and not a patch on The Copper Kettle’s home made cakes we were use to ! So we decided to try a tea cake to share , which was average but the cleanliness was a bit to be desired. Unfortunately we decided to drink our coffee and leave.

I haven’t been to Tea Junction on my visits to Much Wenlock before. But it is really good. There are the usual tables and chairs. But also easy leather chairs, which is where we sat. There are more out the back and there may even be a garden. But not sure of that. We had a couple of lovely cappuccino s with biccies. I also ordered a sausage sandwich on brown bread. The sausages were delicious. But I should have had the white bread. Just trying to be healthy!!! Anyway we will go here again on our next visit I reckon.

We headed to Much Wenlock for a cream tea one Sunday, not expecting to find such a lovely tea shop! The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the cake display is very tempting! We ordered sandwiches, which were freshly made to order and very tasty, and followed this up with tea and cakes. Everything was beautifully presented on real china and you can tell the staff are happy to serve you. They take a real interest in what you thought of the food and want you to enjoy your visit. Everything is clean and fresh and there are two rooms so nothing is cramped. There is also a beautiful garden to sit in if the weather is nice. There is also a small library to borrow a book from, what a lovely idea! This place deserves to do well, it is a real gem in Munch Wenlock; we'll be back.

Stopped here for a quick light/late lunch during a walking trip. The decor of this small, independent tearooms is clean and tasteful with classic country furniture and some easy chairs. My Earl Grey tea was served in a pot with china teacup and saucer as it should be and my partner, who is fussy about her coffee, was very happy with her black Americano. The home-made cakes looked delicious but, feeling in need of something more substantial, we opted for the fresh, home-made leak and potato soup which, served with a huge hunk of bread and butter, was creamy and delicious. The staff were courteous, friendly and welcoming. I would certainly recommend this place and return there any time when visiting Much Wenlock.

A real old fashioned tea house, with good coffee, cakes and snacks in very pleasant surroundings and at reasonable prices. We sat outside in the small garden and the only flaw I found on a bright sunny afternoon was the light reflecting of the steel tables was irritating, however a small point in very inviting tea house, well worth the visit

Returned to Tea Junction because we'd been made very welcome there last yea - it's still very friendly and our dog was welcomed again. There's still very little choice of food for vegans and I decided to have just chips and beans, which was fine as the chips were very good. None of the cakes were vegan, but the ladies were talking about finding some recipes and making some - I'm looking forward to that next time we visit! My partner enjoyed his fish and chips. The food is very good value and the staff are very friendly.

Contemporary vinyl wall stickers coupled with Victorian style tables and crockery makes this very confusing visually. There were just the four of us and having been handed menus we then waited a while before our order was taken. We asked for this to be two separate orders which we were told was fine. The food took an awfully long time to arrive with what appeared to be just the one lady cooking in the kitchen. One of our orders finally arrived. Then half the other order. Then eventually the final plate of food. Nothing we ordered was complicated. There is just the one toilet and sign asks users to wipe the seat after use! A tad disconcerting. There are other tea shops in Much Wenlock and I would suggest you try one of those. And did I mention they allow dogs?

We visited the tea rooms today. The welcome and service we received was excellent and I couldn't fault it at all. Sadly though we were very disappointed when our two panini's arrived and each one was only half a panini. They were £4.50 each as opposed to the £5.50 across the road. I would have happily paid an extra £1 to get a full panini and not just half! We were also charged £1.50 for a simple slice to white sliced bread and butter for my toddler, which seems excessive. Lovely place, lovely staff, but please give us a whole panini if we are paying for one!

My partner and I called in for lunch with our dog and she was made very welcome and given biscuits. We were also made to feel very welcome. My partner really enjoyed his full English breakfast, which I think is served all day. I'm vegan and had limited options - either soup or beans or mushrooms (I had half and half) on very dry toast as I don't eat butter.

A pleasant looking tearoom, with cheerful staff. Service was prompt and efficient, but the lasting memory is that the food was inadequate. We ordered tea for two which was okay. To eat wehad one a sausage and onion chutney panini and one tuna mayonnaise jacket potato. Both portions were unexpectedly small, my husband commented that-the jacket potato was the smallest he'd ever seen presented in an eatery. The tuna mayonnaise was very much lacking in seasoning (I don't usually add at the table) and whilst acknowledging that I could have ordered a side salad for an extra £2:50 feel that a small garnish would not have gone amiss, and, in my experience usual, especially as it cost £4:50. The panini (£3:95) contained a long thin sausage cut in half my husband's comment was "that it was very nice" . Total bill came to £12:45

Looking for somewhere to eat a meal at about 5-30 pm on a Wednesday afternoon we came across this lovely bistro near the centre of the town. At first glance it is a hardware shop with a couple of restaurant tables in the windows but the bistro area is downstairs. The upstairs hardware shop is in the process of being converted in to restaurant space and the name of the eaterie is being changed to "T at the Junction" (at least I think that is right!). The bistro area is very welcoming as are all the staff; the tables are large and the menu is good. I can't remember everything that is on the menu but I can remember baked potatoes, salads, sandwiches, paninis, omelettes. The baked potato with cheese and a side salad with coleslaw that I had was very appetising. The friends I was with also enjoyed their meals very much. After the "main" courses we were offered homemade apple crumble and toffee sauce with either cream, ice cream or custard. Two of my friends ordered this but I did not feel I could do it justice so the proprietor (Sharon) offered me a half portion-how many places would do that? Every two weeks they do a couple of themed nights. The night following our visit was "Mediterranean" night. This bistro is a little gem which I heartily recommend. I think it will do very well and suggest you book soon!! The restaurant is currently not wheelchair accessible (unless the 2 tables in the hardware area are used-I don't know whether these are used as restaurant tables or not but the staff are so accommodating that I am sure they would offer to use them for anyone who could not get downstairs )but, when the ground floor has been converted, it will be.

This was a real find in Much Wenlock. The only way we actually found this was by reading a small sign in the window of the hardware shop! The tea and coffee were great and the bacon sandwiches were excellent! An added bonus was the history of the basement where the tea shop is located. The owner told us about the the Napoleonic POWs being imprisoned here and that there used to be a body and shoes on display behind glass in one of the vaults (many of the locals can recall this) but nobody knows who he was. There are stories also linking the basement to the Priory. A real added bonus was the ghost story which, as Australians, had us thrilled! Highly recommend this place to any visitor to Much Wenlock.

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far
