In a world of uniformity this cafe was very pleasantly not. A great team and work ethic. Very nice coffee. Great service and a great environment and ambiance. Well done.

This has become my de facto afternoon point of call for a good quality coffee. In area of London populated by establishments offering hot milk with coffee flavouring this is a rarity.

So a friend of mine recommended that I should try Taylor St Baristas as I always kept going on about how good Monmouth Coffee was in Covent Garden.... and I have to say, the coffee at Taylor St is pretty damn good! I tried to Mocha, and didn't expect it to taste the way it did... always been skeptical with Mochas.. but this one was divine! dark chocolate and the bitterness complimented the coffee!Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the chocolate Guinness cake... oh my oh my!! Highly recommened!

Love a nice coffee, but maybe think about going somewhere else if you need a chat - this place pumps out the tunes at a volume that makes it hard to hear. But otherwise, I like their food and beverages - the staff are nice too, friendly and cool, and it certainly beats Starbucks. Will be good to see a bit more competition opening up in the Warf soon, with Dept of Coffee & Social Affairs coming!

I personally prefer the coffee here over to the much raved about Monmouth Coffee. I had a flat white. The coffee had lots of body and very strong taste. The queue was very long, but don't be put out by it as it moves pretty fast (especially during peak period). The service staff were also very polite and took our orders on an ipad while we were still queuing. Really liked the efficiency of it all. A downside is that there isn't much sitting space in this coffee shop, and they only open on weekdays! If only they opened over the weekends!

Was recommended Taylor St Barista by friends as it has a reputation for good coffee which is hard to come by in London. Upon arriving, signs were good as the place was packed, yet the friendly staff managed to take my order quickly. Didn't have to wait long for the coffee but was dissapointed; coffee was luke warm at best and really milky...nothing like a proper flat white should be. This is a decent coffee shop near to most of the big banks and law firms in Canary Wharf. If you think Canary Wharf you think high-powered and time-poor execs in need of a caffeine fix, and with that background in mind you can understand why this place has decided to operate in the way it does. The espresso is great, with changing bean options on a regular basis. Service is also excellent, and comes with a smile. I was particularly impressed by pre-work service: several baristas at the machine, one at the till to take payment and one walking up and down the queue with a tablet to take the orders. I entered with a ten-strong queue in front of me, and by the time I handed over my cash my order was ready on the pass. An excellent system.I wasn't so keen on the atmosphere. There was loud dance music on both of the occasions when I visited. This precludes any sort of environment where you can sit around and chat or do work. I think this is deliberate: there are few seats and the location likely requires a quick turnover of customers. Overall this is a good place to go to knock back an espresso or to take a coffee away; not so good if you're sticking around.

This is the most pretentious coffee shop on the planet. Firstly the size of the coffees are tiny. Large does not mean large. Secondly the excuse for this is due to quality of the coffee. Having travelled in many countries I have experienced far better coffee in London (egBar Italia) and around the world. Finally the price is not worth. Attitude of the staff and the queuing puts me off further. No thanks.

Today I took an investment banking colleague to the Canary Wharf branch of your store. It was stiflingly hot inside but we decided to brave the door side seat. I asked for an iced latte — there were none so I was recommended a cold draft with milk — which sounded fine.At the counter the coffees arrived. I mentioned to the (different) server that it was supposed to have milk. He handed me the milk bottle! The cup was full. He asked why I didn't drink some first? Had my friend just paid almost £3 for a cup of coffee or was I dealing with an idiot?Even though we sat by the door the music was so loud we couldn't speak to one another. The people on the next door table also commented. I asked the same person to turn the music down. I'm not sure if he did, but within 30 seconds it was just the same. Both we & the table next door stood outside. It was cooler by 5C anyway.I think I've never met so obnoxious a person in a retail establishment. I'd be embarrassed to treat anyone in that manner in everyday life, let alone in the service sector. Even during the preparation of the drinks, he constantly complained to the others behind the counter. Maybe he could have a week's outplacement at MacDonalds. That will be our last visit to Taylor Street in CW. By comparison, during the 2 years I worked at Bank, the branch there was exceptional.

As a long-time food phanatic, I am also a coffee appreciator. And as an Italian, I am very demanding when it comes to my espresso cup, used as I am to downing 4 or 6 a day on an average working day. Now, I believe my fellow Italians would agree with me when I say that you can tell a good coffee from the smell. TS Barista's is so sour I had troubles drinking it. I really cannot understand how people can rate this place so highly based on coffee, while it is obvoiusly an overpriced sour beverage. Not just that, waiting time is endless even with no queue at the till - an average Italian barista serves several people per minute. They should spend less time on making artwork with milk foam and focus on service and quality.I am failing them.

Very good flat whites. The signature coffee blend is smooth and butterscotchy and the milk texturing is always spot on. The food is consistently fresh with good quality ingredients. The space is not huge and can get busy and noisy at times. But the staff are always very organised. The customer service is uncompromisingly Aussie style and probably an acquired taste for some. If you don't like it, feel free not to tip ;-) My advice it to grab a loyalty card and get great coffee and knowledgeable baristas at the same price as elsewhere!

I asked for Cortado, and was asked what that was. It was probably my cue to leave. Anyway, ordered a flat white instead. Given this originates from Australia/NZ, I thought there would be less chance of it going wrong.. Anyway, it was a watered down flat white, nothing velvety about it, and I don't usually care about coffee art, but even this was not up to the standards. Shame.
