Alex and Prince were amazing hosts they made our time at Cottons very enjoyable. Amazing service and food! The brunch with the chocolate men is one to attend! Would deffo recommend! Sasha X

Reservé la sala de fiestas del sótano y el bar en Cottons Shoreditch a principios de este año para una pequeña fiesta de cumpleaños (c. 45 invitados). Hice comprobaciones anticipadas viendo la habitación y probando la comida (en dos visitas separadas) antes de hacer la reserva. Antes del gran día, el personal era excelente en términos de conseguir un DJ para la noche, ayudándome a seleccionar la mejor combinación de comida caribeña para la cena establecida, y discutiendo en detalle la configuración: la pestaña del bar, qué bebidas poner a disposición para el bar libre y seleccionar las bebidas para la mesa con la cena. Nos dieron un margen de maniobra decente y tiempo para decorar la habitación antes de que comenzara la fiesta, también. El personal incluso hizo un esfuerzo encantador para presentar mi pastel de cumpleaños maravillosamente en una mesa decorada durante la noche, y luego cortarlo y encajonar para que mis invitados se lo lleven a casa al final. Mis invitados y yo tuvimos una gran noche de música, baile, cena y charla. El ambiente era divertido y relajado porque estábamos en un atractivo espacio privado con un servicio de bar de buena calidad, que era exclusivamente para mi fiesta y se sentía muy seguro - tenían un portero en la puerta controlando la entrada desde la entrada de la calle separada a la sala de fiestas. En particular gracias a Charmain, el gerente de Cottons en la noche, por hacer que las cosas vayan tan bien hasta el final. Lo único que lamento es que me ha llevado tanto tiempo publicar esta reseña!

Anteriormente había estado en Cottons en Nottinghill dos veces, lo cual fue muy bueno. Era cumpleaños de socios así que pensamos que probaríamos Cottons en Shoreditch, el servicio era muy bueno, la comida era muy buena, había mucha comida en los platos, tanto que me llevé un poco a casa en una caja. Tuvimos algunos cócteles que se presentaron muy bien, el ron era fuerte no sabía diluido como en muchos lugares. Después de comer bajamos escaleras donde tenían música hasta tarde. ¡La única caída fueron las moscas! Moscas volando alrededor de la comida, sentados en la pared, intentamos hablar con el miembro del personal, pero no hizo nada, ni siquiera un descuento. Tal vez nos quedemos en Nottinghill en el futuro.

The oxtail was extremely delicious, the flavors blend together. The codfish cake was simply delicious. It’s great to see fine dining exist in London. The drinks were extremely strong and delicious, started with the sorely drink and ended up with the Think Reggae Rum Punch. I am highly recommending this restaurant for everyone to try.

Delicious food, I had the mutton and it was so nice! The prawns for the starter was just as nice. Will definitely be going again. Service was great too.

Cottons is outstanding! The cleanliness of the restaurant and the service was incredible. The food- the food was superb! By far the BEST Jamaican restaurant in London. Second to none! I had the Jerk chicken, with rice and peas and it was simply divine. My partner had the meat platter and was blown away by the flavours and variety. From the plantain, to the salad, to the succulent meat- nothing was simple- everything was bold and authentic. I will most certainly come back again.

Went for a casual dinner with local friends when I was visiting London from the US. Food was great! Try the ox tails. Drinks were excellent. We tried everything. Surprisingly, my favorite was the coconut mojito. The service was the best part. The manager, Kevin was pure entertainment. He made great conversation with the group about any and everything (even the bartender jumped in sometimes), while maintaining a perfectly tailored old school playlist to keep the relaxed vibe, and while keeping the drinks coming. We’re going back every time I visit London.

Went recently with my friend for their Tropical Bottomless Brunch and omg the food was so so good - especially those Jerk Chicken Wings (if you go, get those and you will NOT be disappointed!!) We were served by Yasmin and she was really lovely and attentive. Again, you will really not be disappointed here. Also quick shout out to the rum punch!!

Me and a guitarist were hired on Friday 14th of April to play an acoustic set downstairs at the cottons club. The management later told us that the person that was their event manager didn’t get approval to hire us, so they don’t plan on paying us, even though the mistakes of their employees are theirs to bear, not OURS. They now have stopped replying to our messages and emails and clearly don’t have any intention of paying for the job we did. 
Any establishment that treats people this way doesn’t deserve any recognition and should be BOYCOTTED, so please DON’T GO THERE!
 Plenty of better places to eat at in Shoreditch anyway.

This will not be first time at Cottons, been to other branches where service and food was excellent. This one was very poor, we arrived without a booking and was told only seats outside were available which was fine as it was a lovely day. However, the tables were dirty, orders were wrong, kept bringing someone else's drinks order over and over again. Food came, no cutlery, waited a while then approched the manager inside who's reply was we do not set the tables outside. I get that but bring cutlery with the food then.... we were also made to pay first whilst placing our order because apparently people have done a runner from outside tables before. The food was shabby and definately not worth the price... to make matters worse we were under charged less £4.00, the manager came and kept asking for it with machine in hand which i felt was very rude, then he said he didnt have any change when we presented a £10 not but we insisted and he eventually came back with the change.

Food was terrible. And the service was any better. We were rushed to order and as because they insisted on closing “early”. They didn’t want to seat us inside as our whole group of 7 hadn’t arrived. So they insisted we sat outside until they all arrived despite this restaurant being empty as my pictures show. We were served by Kevin (manager). Who was very confrontational and made us feel on edge. Second round of drinks seemed to be watered down, very dissimilar as we made ot for happy hour. We instead they took off the £25 service charge and we ened up clearing our drink and plate off the table in order to make space. Considering the restaurant was empty we shouldn’t have to do this. All in all i will not be coming back to this branch.

A great experience at Cotton’s, Shoreditch for a birthday meal. The staff were extremely accommodating, polite and attentive from booking the venue and throughout our stay. The range and quality of dishes was superb in the main and maintained an authentic Caribbean feel, bravo !

Came to Cottons for the Surprise Birthday Bottomless brunch. The food was great- we had a table of 12 and there were no complaints from anyone re the food. As soon as you sit down- they’ll start pouring drinks- as it’s the bottomless lasts exactly 90 minutes. Service was seamless they’re quick to take your orders so that you can get your three courses in a timely fashion. Yasmine was our waitress- very patient and kind to a fairly demanding table!

This was a birthday treat to the Caribbean Bottomless Brunch. Arrived early and advised that we could go downstairs for a drink. Pleasantly surprised to find a club down there with a great atmosphere, DJ and dancing at 2pm on a Saturday! Enjoyed a couple of Ragga Muffin cocktails before going back upstairs for the brunch at 2.45pm. 3 courses plus either bottomless prosecco or rum punch. Friendly staff, ok food, flowing drinks, music and we were all dancing by the end. It was good fun. Later in the evening we came back to the club (this time we had to pay £10 entry) and enjoyed some live music.

This place had the best vibes as me and my friend attended on Friday 28th April 2023. The music was on point and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff members were amazing our servers, Joel and Varnu gave the best service and the manager Adama was very understanding and catered to me and my friends need to an exceptional level. They all really went above and beyond with ensuring we had our food& still hot although we were running very late!! They didn’t rush us out the door and just let us have our much needed catch-up as they cleared down. I hope I got the names right as the drinks were also great and strong 😅 definitely going to revisit!

Do yourself a favor and walk passed. There are a great many restaurants in the area providing better quality food and service, at a more favorable price. Why are they presenting the bill for payment when serving the starter when dining " Al-Fresco"? Ensuring payment is made prior to dining, enables them to treat customers with contempt. As once payment is made they don't need to care if the food or the service is good. We will not be dining here nor will we be recommending.

Two stars only for the decoration and location. Customer service just lacking. Booked for my boyfriends birthday and it was spoilt by the service without real care. The manager had an issue to deal with and left us sitting waiting to order. No one else could take the order in the whole restaurant. How long is appropriate to sit and wait? Instead of the manager trying to compensate for the bad service he almost admitted that there may be further problems and suggested that we may want to leave. Tbh we suggested leaving first as we didn’t know how long we were going to wait and he didn’t seem bothered. Never seen anything like it to be honest. Customer service failure. Shame really because we were excited to feast. Thanks cottons for ruining the vibe. Another thing to note, the only other people in the restaurant were having issues! To his credit, the manager called me to talk through the issue but he would have known we would have been seeking food elsewhere and likely mid course. Strange choices! A tip.. barrio around the corner understands how to treat people and make a birthday special!

Incredible food, amazing atmosphere and even better service. Truly grateful for how welcoming and pleasant the staff were. They did everything and more to accommodate us and to ensure we were looked after.

Had bottomless brunch, with the girls for my birthday. From the moment we walked in, we were treated to excellent service. All of the staff were happy, friendly and attentive. During the whole afternoon we didn’t once need to ask for our glasses to be topped up, which was impressive as the restaurant was busy. The food was so flavoursome, authentic & presented well. The final part of our visit was having a dance around the tables, think the whole restaurant was up dancing in the end!! Highly recommend this restaurant, everything about it was great & value for money!!
