Food and service were good, I just wanted to bring to your attention that your chicken tikka masala on your main menu and your daily promotion leaflet show different spice ratings the main menu said it had 1 spice level but the promo leaflet labelled it a 2 spice level, I found this to be very misleading and put me off ordering it as i couldnt make an accurate call on the spice level of the dish, it showed the same calories so I assume it's the same dish. Thank you

Visited her Sunday for a carvery. It was really busy but it was still quick and was lovely, hot and tasty. Everything was topped up and really clean and tidy. Really impressed.

Firstly, I go to Severn Gorge every week - once for a carvery on my own and then our family go to the quiz night once a fortnight where we all have a carvery before the quiz and drinks during. We have had family Christmas meals there, spend a lot of money always. The main thing is...the bar staff and usual managers know us! So I was gobsmacked when I took my two 25 year old granddaughters for a celebration today and was challenged by the young barmaid who serves me every week. I said to her "You know me well. I'm in here all the time. These are my granddaughters. I'm not likely to lie to you". She said "Well I've challenged you now so if they can't prove it they can't have a drink". So I then ordered food with a drink and was told...not our policy for kids with adults. Bear in mind, these two don't even look under 18 or 21! The new bolshy acting manager (Amy) even said...if you say it's for you and I see them drinking, I'll come over and take it off your table! What should have been a lovely pleasant afternoon was ruined by the arrogant attitudes. I well understand about fines and the fact that kids can't drink, but as I said before, they knew me well and the kids were 25. Disgusted. I think they have lost my business. There is a Thursday quiz at Grazing Cow (where we went down to for dessert) and were treated respectfully. Date of experience: 03 October 2024

Went with my brothers who travelled some distance to visit and have to say the carvery was poor. It was cold apart from the gravy, the Yorkshire pudding was soggy not crisp and the pigs in blanket for which we paid extra were stale and not fresh at all. Overall a disappointing lunch experience which won’t be repeated. We did bring this feedback to the attention of the lady who asked about our food and she said she would feedback to the kitchen staff but never came back to apologise or provide a response so clearly wasn’t bothered and it felt as though our feedback was irrelevant.

I have an allergy to fish. Very impressed when went to order food at the bar was asked if anyone had an allergy when I told them I do to fish went back to my table and a member of staff came and cleaned the table to save me being embarrassed he just said they have to clean the tables every hour. When I ordered my food a small carvery meal and went up to get my dinner gentleman carving the meat look at my ticket saw my allergy took all the carving knifes away brought fresh cleaned surface then took all the serving spoons away and put fresh out. Once he’d done that carved my meat handed me my plate on a tray and told me every thing was ready for me to help myself to veg. I thanked him I was so impressed this is the first time any restaurant had ever done this for me. Well done thank you

We visited about a year ago for a carvery and weren't impressed - the food was as good as a 1970s school dinner and we vowed never to return, choosing another place for our Sunday lunch. When this was shut one week we decided to give Severn Gorge another go and what a difference we found. The food was edible and tasty, and the staff on the carvery was pleasant. The beef melted in your mouth and the turkey succulent. Everything we had was great, to the extent that we stopped going to the other place and have been to Severn Gorge weekly since. Recently we noticed that a new parking regime was in place as there were new signs in the car park and noted that we needed to enter our car registration into a machine on the bar. No problem. Done that at other places in the past. We had another tasty meal and all was well...until this Saturday morning when we received a Parking Charge Notice for £100. 'Interesting'! We knew that we had entered the registration and set about appealing the charge with Premier Park (who are administering parking charges). We had evidence that we had indeed had a meal at the time stated but contacted Severn Gorge to see if they were able to provide any corroborating evidence and spoke to the manager. He assured us that he would contact Premier Park to cancel the parking notice but for us to continue with the appeal process, which we did. He was more than apologetic and has bent over backwards to do everything he can to remedy the situation. We were contacted by him on Monday lunchtime to say that he is trying to cancel the charge from his side. Great service and understanding and we can only sing the praises of SG management for looking after us. Premier Park have not responded to us at this point. This was an unpleasant situation that could have led us not to return but we will be back... It's worth noting for other patrons that this new parking regime is in place and to ensure that you do enter your car registration on the machine when you arrive. We did, but we know that technology can't always be relied upon, as in this case. Don't let it put you off your meal but be aware.

We had beef and it was very tough. The potatoes were gritty, nearly broke my tooth. We were over charged. Not happy at all.

We were hoping to have a carvery, however there was no gammon, and only burnt piece of beef and turkey. We opted to eat from the main menu, we ordered using the QR code, but had a wait for food and drinks. I think the service would have been quicker had we ordered at the bar. It was fairly busy, some tables needed clearing, and although our table was clear, it was rather sticky.

Food was horrendous, the chips were cold and tasteless, the meat on the carvery was dry just like the Sahara dessert . My Friend had the turkey and the beef and there was no taste or anything and the roast potatoes were burnt. My other half had a plate of yorkshire puddings and they were all cold and full of grease. I personally tried one and I rubbed my fingers and I could see all the oil that was still on them. My partners Niece had Sausage, mash and peas: it looked like they rammed the plate full of peas and the mash looked like it had seen better days and the sausage was burnt and looked very inedible for a child to eat. I HIGHLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!! I saw people stand at the bar for a good five minutes, waiting to be served and for the que to be almost out the door while 1 person does the work and the other person just walks around aimlessly around the building. It doesn’t look good for the customers to see that happening.

Your typical pub grub establishment. They were a bit understaffed and had a large party arrived which had reserved. It would have been a 30 minute wait for food because of this but no issue, opted for the carvery instead. Huge portion and good value for money. Lou and Tim offered excellent customer service and very helpful

The food is not that good when I first started going to the servern gorge pub the carvery was nice then I don't no what they did but the food started to go down hill fast the veg was hard the Yorkshire pudding was so hard you could not even cook it that's why we stopped having a,carvery the rest of the food is not that good and for the service and that goes for any thing they cook is not as good as I always normally stick the the same food everytime it doesn't happen so when I first went to the servern gorge there was that many people in there it took a long time to get your dinner but no you don't even have to wait anymore as lots of people have stopped going to the servern gorge pub in Telford Town centre that is how I see it as gone straight down the pan

Had a beautiful carvery today. Sat in the Dog friendly area and treated our puppy to a doggy carvery. It was a great experience and will deffinatly do it again. Many thanks

We all had a carvery family of 4 plus 2 year old , not good the roast potatoes were very dry and hard none of us could eat them even heard the next table complaining about them , carrots were very undercooked the stuffing wasn’t the best and Yorkshire puddings were dry and hard , used to love going for a carvery here but it’s gone way down to what it used to be

Popped in after school and a quick run round the shops, kids wanted a carvery on this cold January Monday , served promptly at the bar and sent to the carvery . Greeted by the chef who gave us the choice of meats . Veg was nice and hot a all round tasty treat after school

My husband had the cowboy burger which was dry and over cooked ,I had the carvery my favourite meal ! So disappointed it was Luke warm .The bar maid was cold ,didn’t even smile ,no welcoming Christmas feel …we felt like an inconvenience!

AVOID.... Breakfast with santa. 1 sausage. I bacon. Black...yes black scrambled rubber egg. Overcooked mushrooms bread that was supposed to be toast..called manager over and asked him to try the egg on my plate that had not been touched... he even admitted it looked vile...Full refund given ..never again .. AVOID AT ALL COSTS(NO WE DIDNT SEE SANTA AS HE WAS NOT ARRIVING FOR ANOTHER 2 HOURS)

This is the second year we have come here for family Christmas meal,every year I book for my sister's and niece's to have a night out and again we couldn't fault the service,we were well looked after by Tim,Kate and Lou,the food was amazing and they always look after my niece who is gluten free, thank you so much

We visited for Sunday lunch before going to the Market. It was a very cold day so a roast was great to warm us all up. The lady on host was delightful, despite us not booking she found us a table & the carver chef a friendly great chap. Not lived in the area long, it is great to have found a decent roast.

We came last minute but we got sat quickly by Kim, we were going for the roast but decided to try the festive burger on the menu. It came out quick and service on bar was prompt. Everyone very Friendly and welcoming, always great as local!

Went on a lazy day off from work, place was clean, staff was polite, food came within reasonable time, and the food was some of the nicest and freshest food me and my partner have had in Telford for a long time. We even took home cake. Thank you Elaine and Evan for a lovely quick meal out.

We popped in on a Sunday afternoon (hadn’t pre booked) and Colin found us a table (it was incredibly busy so we were really quite lucky) Colin could not have more helpful to accommodate us. The food exceeded our expectations for a carvery on a busy Sunday. Tim the chef did an amazing job. The bar staff and all staff as a whole were super friendly and welcoming. You could not ask for anything more!

We have been using this pub for many years (20 odd) and until the last few years it was superb. We stopped going about 3 years ago as it went downhill. Recently we thought we would give it another go as we heard there were new managers in. We have been 5 times recently and enjoyed it although the carvery food doesn’t look very appetising as the meat looks frazzled, veg looks dried up etc. We decided to go yesterday and the carvery food looked the same however, we continued with our meal. Well, we were so disappointed! We had to ask for 2 sauces as they had run out. When we actually got to eat our food the roast potatoes tasted stale as if they had been standing for hours, the mash was nice but just warm, peas and carrots were cold, meat was cold and gravy was warm. Just a suggestion, we go to another pub that serves a carvery and they always cover their meats, veg etc with foil when they aren’t busy, maybe you could give this a go? Their meat and veg always look nice and not dried up.

i have visited many times and left glowing reviews but today the treatment myself and my partner received has made me never want to go again. We decided to pop in after a busy day and grab a carvery let me state that nowhere outside, inside or online does it state reservations only nor was their anyone at the entrance asking if we had reservations so we did as we usually do and find a table close as possible to the entrance as I am disabled and find walking to far enormously difficult. we went in found a table and my partner went to order the carvery and drinks. My partner returned the went to get my carvery as I'm unable to do it myself then went to get his own both times having to queue. As I started my food a lady came and asked if we had reserved I said no we hadn't and then said well on Sundays it's MOSTLY reservations not walk ins and they needed the table soon so eat up fast. She returned again to say there were no other tables they could move us to so again we needed to eat fast. She then returned and said they needed that table and that we could sit at the bar to eat I said id be unable to because of my disability I can't do that she shrugged and said well we need the table. I was embarrassed so asked if we could take it away she returned with a cake takeaway box but only one and when my partner asked for one for his food was snapped at that he'd have to wait. People around us said they thought she was very rude to us. My partner spent £35.18 to be humiliated and sent away with our carvery shoved in a box after twenty minutes. More staff training is needed on how to deal with customers especially as I presume the lady was a manager and inclusion for all abilities as well. disappointed as we've always chosen the gorge as our place to go to

I haven't been here in a long time due to poor standards and experience in the past. However, my son asked to go here so I took a chance.... We was very pleased with the food and service. 3 carveries and a lasagne. Plus desserts. There was a minor issue with the Yorkshire puddings due to being too hard from being under the hot light. However, this was soon rectified. The chef was pleasant and brought over some fresh ones without any qualms. The lasagne was very tasty. Will definitely be returning. 😊
