easily one of the best places in cambridge for breakfast and food, the manager Gino is the best host and is always lovely

Great food and friendly staff, all cooked to order. I will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

I was there a few days ago for breakfast and I tried the Tatties Breakfast with an English tea, which was pretty good. The place, in general, was quite cozy and the service was good and quite fast with a reasonable price.

Food was ok, prices are high for what you get

Having waited an hour for our overpriced, cold and bland food to arrive, I was left longing for some sense of soul to return, which didn’t happen by the manager shouting at us or the staff. This is the worst cafe I have ever been to. There is a burglar alarm on the wall which I felt very tempted to press to save other unsuspecting victims from falling into this lair. The saving grace was the comedic value of reading the awful reviews as we tucked into our burnt toast. Next time I will consider eating a pile of cigarette butts while sat in a puddle, for a more comfortable, flavoursome and friendly experience

Food was nice but sparse and a bit overpriced to be honest. Think they forgot to add the coffee to the flat white as well. Nice decor and comfortable seating. Maybe some background music playing would add to the atmosphere. Would we go back, probably not.

Greeted by an unsmiling owner/manager pointing sharply at a table for us to sit with no eye contact. He seems to have one or two favourite customers that he sucks up to but new customers get the cold shoulder treatment. Lots of unnecessary banging on pots and shouting orders behind the counter, too. The toilet resembles a motorway service station cubicle by late evening. It reeks of piss with a slippery floor, over-filled bin and no hand drier or towels.

Lovely breakfast, service was good and food served quickly. Staff were incredibly friendly especially Gino! Slightly pricey for me but overall lovely experience

When we arrived the owner helped my mum to her seat as she has a walker. He also took our order for us,the food was delicious and big portion sizes. Asked to add an item to my selection and was not a problem. Will us again when next in Cambridge

Popped in for an all day breakfast with my daughter. Lovely welcome from Gino, the owner. Great coffee. Plentiful and tasty food. Prompt and polite service.

If you want a full breakfast in Cambridge, this is an excellent spot! Homemade sausages, fresh bacon and the coffee was fantastic.

This is NOT a dog-friendly cafe. I've been a few times and the food is great. However, I went in the other day with my medium-sized dog (very chill and well-behaved) and was refused entry. There was plenty of space too, but they only allow very small dogs apparently and wouldn't give me a reason why.

Poor quality food, definitely not fresh. Shouting order numbers instead of having allocated tables. Rude server.

Horrible service, guy didn’t tell us that we were meant to order at the front, my mother was refused tap water when she asked as they ‘were busy making breakfasts’, refused to make my initial order as they have to many breakfasts to make, and told a table next to us they had 5 minutes to leave to fit in another group that had just come in the door, despite the fact that they were still eating. He also then forgot our order so we had to wait even longer to eat. 2 breakfasts took 40 mins, were of poor quality and cost £40. Chips tasted microwaved, ham looks and tasted like it’s come out of a £2 packet from tesco and milkshakes are made with rather nesquick or crusha. Food was cold, coffee isn’t even great. Horrible attitude - do not recommend.

Came in for a jacket potato and was told it would be around 20 mins due to it being busy which was fine. After 50 mins I went and chased the food as it hadn’t arrived and a gentleman who I believe was the manager then came out and literally shouted at us “it’s hot food and it’s busy so what do you expect” and dumped the food on the table and left. The food was hard and not very nice. I wouldn’t recommend.

We were visiting Cambridge for the day and came across Tatties for our lunch we had burgers and chips, were not disappointed, had a bit of a wait for food, but can honestly say best burgers we have had in a while, milkshakes were very good, staff were friendly too, would definitely recommend.

Ordered a burger and a chicken wrap. Was told it would take 20-30 mins, but ended up taking 50. Food was very bland, dry, and quality was poor. Meagre portions of salad, with similarly mean portion of lukewarm chips. Told the manager that we were not happy we had to wait so long, and he was somewhat defensive but give us some complimentary Greek dessert thingies, which seemed like they had sat in the display cabinet for 2 weeks and tasted like stale cardboard. Service very noisy, as their system involves giving each customer a number as they self-service order at the till, then the waiting staff shout that number out continuously as they walk across the restaurant trying to locate the owner of the order in hand. Would not recommend.

Terrible service. We ordered food and got drinks within about 10 minutes which was fine but food arrived 30 minutes later when we had all finished our drinks. One of the meals was lukewarm. No apology or acknowledgment was made for the late service

Food was very expensive 7:95 for a chip butty and small bit of side salad was very disappointed 3:50 fo4 a small bottle of coke very expensive was a one of treat maccy D's would of been better value for my money and I'd of had change !!

Good location and ok good. Nothing too special when it comes to breakfast items. Prices are average for Cambridge and the seating is nice with lots of space.

Beautiful place to eat. Ingredients are quality, owner is a a Star after letting me park in his loading space for the duration of my Breakfast as I had Parking Attendant on my case. Top Place- Top Man.

The guy is absolutely lovely. Is amazing with my daughter always giving her treats. Staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming. The food is amazing and delicious.

Good Cake. Mix of normal and gluten-free.

Their falafel is just amazing (and believe me I tried many different ones - this one is probably one of the best I have ever tried). The food is freshly made on the spot so make sure to try out their daily specials. The stuff was also very welcoming - I will definitely be coming back for more and exploring what they have. They also do student discount which is a plus!

Really nice milkshakes but I'm kicking myself that I didn't get a jacket potato they looked incredible

This cafe also works with Radical Storage as a luggage storage center. The south east asian lady has an appalling attitude. Having paid for the storage as well as several bakery items at the cafe, the lady seemed extremely annoyed at my luggage storage requests and pick-up time. She seems young and incompetent and should work on her professional skills.

Lovely staff, very polite and accommodating. The wrap was quite dry and flaky and quite expensive for what it was. Kids menu has only fish fingers or chicken nuggets. I'd have thought they'd offer half a jacket potato as that's what they're famous for or at least some healthier options. Other than that it had a lovely atmosphere.

Really nice place! The food was really good for me and my partner and overall had an amazing experience. They even had salad cream at tables like ketchup and mayonnaise.

My favourite cafe in the entirety of Cambridge! My first experience of Tatties was such a welcoming place with Gino the owner being extremely accommodating for me and my friends even when it was busy! The vegetarian breakfast was great, the smoothies are amazing and there is a great atmosphere! Since then I’ve gone time and time again! I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Amazing cafe in central cambridge, been in multiple times for breakfast or lunch and it never disappoints. The service is always absolutely amazing, all the staff are really friendly and efficient and the owner Gino is always so welcoming and talkative!

Stopped here because I loved Tatties in times past. Still an institution, and the jackets are good. Overall, it is quite expensive for just a cafe. £10 for a wrap, sandwich or panini is quite pricey. Food was nice, but we left thinking it was not worth it. Lovely staff. Toilet had no soap, which is poor.

Had a really good breakfast(s) and value for money. The food was really tasty with great sausages. Happy to change toast for bread and butter unlike so many cafés these days. Friendly staff. Definitely would go back again. Discount for students too.

We had full English breakfast here today, and I must say it's much, much better than I anticipated from reviews. I like English breakfast and this is definitely one of the better examples. Over-easy eggs are just right, sausage is delicious, with some cool herbs and not too fatty (which is a rare occasion with English breakfast), bacon is thick and properly fried. Freshly squeezed orange juice and black coffee were also both pretty good. Other good things: 1) breakfast is served after 12 - any time they are open, I think; 2) we've asked to skip the butter on toast on one of the plates, and that's exactly what was done. The complaints about toilets are not baseless, so if you're very sensitive about things like this, maybe don't use it. Service was quick and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent. Service was very quick. The food quality real is faultless, as you would cook for yourself at home. Lovely sausage, quality bacon and perfect jacket potato. Definitely return here when we are back in Cambridge.

I remember when Tatties was next to the entrance to Downing College. Their cheese and Coronation Chicken baked potatoes were the best. Sadly, the current shop is not quite as good.

We had to wait over 50min for a wrap and a baked potato. Really bad organized!

Went twice to get a tea take away. Never got any because of loooooong waiting time and then the waiter just ignored me. Service is very rude.

Food was okay but overpriced (£30 for 2 baked potatoes and 2 hot drinks). Service was so-so.
