This is one of the best bottomless brunches we’ve ever had! Tess was on her own at the bar but still made sure we always had a drink! Food was lovely and drinks were fab- couldn’t recommend this place enough, amazing value for money! And our dog Denzel was super welcome here too! Thanks for a fab brunch Tess! :-) xx

We went for bottomless brunch, everyone was working very hard apart from the micro manager owner of the place! He clearly doesn’t trust his employees very much even though they were all doing a cracking job! When confronted to his behaviour with the staff he said “they aren’t doing their job well”. The only person looking like they weren’t doing their job well was him! It made us all feel very uncomfortable how he spoke to his staff. He showed us to a table for 6 of us, his colleague was trying to sort out the tables and he just wouldn’t listen to him. We were sent outside, back to the other seat then to a booth and said he would move us later to a bigger table but never did! Food arrived from one of the waitresses but he quickly ushered them back to the kitchen and our food sat under heater for 15 mins and when it came out, it was burnt. This was not due to the chef but due to the micro manager ushering the waitress back with the food and it burnt under the heater. I think the owner needs some training in how to talk to his employees because it’s absolutely shameful and staff retention must be awful for him. Big up to Ali the waiter for accommodating us so well and putting up with his manager when he really shouldn’t have to be spoken to the way he did!! Ali made the bottomless brunch for us, we would have left and refused payment if it wasn’t for Ali and him accommodating us.

Me and 8 friends went to eat here and we had reserved a table, and prebooked our food. We got there and they seemed confused as to how many of us there were (eventhough we did book for 9) and had to kick people off the table we had booked as there was no reserve sign. We also had to clarify 3 times that we werent there for bottomless brunch and that we had already preordered our meals, and when those preordered meals came out 2 of the orders didnt have the changes we asked for (just asked to take something off the burger) and one of our meals took ages to arive. Our drinks order was also wrong twice and the food we did get unfortunately wasnt great, most of our party didnt eat most of our meals, the food was cold, bland and dry. On top of this the fire alarm went off 3 times, and seemed to be completely ignored by both customers and staff. I do appreciate it was a saturday night and very busy, maybe we caught them on an off night but we wont be booking again

Came to celebrate a friends 40th. Drinks we waited 1hour 40 mins for. Got sorted by the amazing Jack and Molly, however the owner was rude and threatening to his staff. They were over worked and under staffed. However the owner threatened to “kill” Molly because she couldn’t serve drinks due to lack of jugs and glasses. First class bullying right there. He needs a lesson in how to speak to his staff and customers.

Drinks tasted nice but service was so slow. Because one of our party hadn't finished their drink (15 of us) they wouldn't bring us any more drinks. Waited for aaaages for another round. Absolutely did not think the service charge should have been added on, it certainly wasn't earned. Got some free shots to the table which was nice because we spent the whole brunch slot just waiting and waiting.

Visit on a trip to Bournemouth some great decor in the venue and the food was good, however the staff defo need training! asked for a Gin was given a plastic cup when there were gin glasses behind bar! asked for one told there are no clean ones! if I'm paying for a Gin, I'm not having a cheap plastic glass! when and ordered food and menu said 25% off on Tuesdays but did not happen asked and just got a oh I look into it but that was it! then food was on hotplate behind us no one bought it over for 10 mins then it was the same barman, no cutlery no sauces so got our own, the manager and another waiter watch us do this! there were a few nightmare tables that had the bottom less brunch but don't forget about your other customers! will a bit more training this place could be amazing, the burger that I had was lovely just a shame it seems to concentrate more on the tables having the bottomless menu

Came in with a large group of friends, as the venue was recommended to us. We were unable to leave a full pre-order as requested, but this didn't seem like any issues for the staff who were very attentive to our needs! Our food even came out even earlier then we expected and oh my god it was great! I had their home made lasagne and it was amazing! People on my table had the burgers and pizza which looked equally as appetising! The cocktails were absolutely great and supplied by the jug full so adequate for the whole table! The staff were very attentive and professional, overall and excellent experience! And we will return! Would definitely recommend the venue to anyone!

We had a table of 8 for my sister in law's birthday. The food was actually really good, th chicken burgers were huge and was really well cooked, not dry at all. The drinks were flowing on a busy Saturday afternoon, we had a few waiters serving us but found Jess was an absolute gem and really looked after us with a smile on her face. She was fabulous! We could see the staff were running around as it was so busy but felt service still flowed pretty well considering. We were eventually asked to leave as we had our stayed out sitting but was very politely to vacate the table! Overall had a great time and for the money we would definitely come back again. This is the second review I have left I didn’t imagine ever getting back after my bad experience, but a friend of mine wanted to try. It equally disappointed. I ordered a lager shandy and right? brought a lager, the chips as usual. loaded with salt, I ordered the poke bowl and it should’ve had nori seaweed in it, but it was just served with one sheet of seaweed, the rice was cold and Clumpy and complete meal with a disappointment, my friend ordered spaghetti carbonara, it was cold and Very salty when I went to the bar to pay. I had a word with the new manager and she said the staff are being trained, but when I got my bill even she had not taken the discount off a complete disaster again so I hope I don’t have any more friends that want to go there

Not happy at all we ordered takeaways from here as it is the only place we can find that does cauliflower cheese! Which is currently my craving and I only ordered here for the cauli cheese! However we didn’t receive it or the vegetables stated clearly on one of the meals only I even wrote down in the notes to phone me with any questions regarding this but no they didn’t bother so I phoned up I then spoke to a lady who was rude and arrogant to me said they made a mistake but I can’t get my missing items or a refund and told me to contact deliveroo so I did luckily they refunded me and were polite!!! I went to the ‘Dancing Jug’ with a few family members and what a lovely evening we had! Food was perfect, the atmosphere was great and the staff where amazing. Never been before so I had a lot of questions to ask and this lovely gentleman by the name of Cameron I was told, he was very engaged and extremely helpful! Such a funny and approachable person! This is exactly how staff should be, and that’s exactly what the Dancing Jug have! Definitely visiting again!

It’s very hard to find such a covid compliant venue in the UK! The staff were so accommodating whilst ensuring all covid measures are adhered to! The cocktails were quick and so tasty, and the halloumi bites are to die for! Even though there was a small wait on the door, Jordan made sure we were looked after and kept checking on us! Came here last night just for a quick drink on way home from work... Ended up eating.I had the Risotto and it was absolutely perfect..so tasty and served very hot.. As I'd expect tbh.Had a few large Gins as well. It was very busy but the service was speedy and extremely friendly. The waitress was excellent.They have a beautiful garden with a few different levels, so nice on a sunny evening.They have lots of food & drinks promotions which do make your evening very affordable.Overall I'd definitely recommend this place for food and/or drinks.Thanks to all the staff for making it such a great experience and I'll be back for sure.

Wow. We took this totally on face value from prior trip advisor reviews and ratings which were great. When we arrived outside and there was nowhere to park we had grave doubts. This looks like a city centre pub and nothing more. Whilst I drove off to find a car park my family were looked after by Stu (thank you so much for allowing us to experience your service and your wonderful Chiefs delights)After asking to be moved because of smokers Stu took great care even remembering our little girls name throughout on a very busy night when he was short staffedThe food is too notch. I had a burger which made my world wide top 3 ( no mean feat). My Wife had a wonderful risotto whilst my in laws had the salmon and hunters chicken. My little one had her favourite pepperoni pizza. Disgusting service and attitude from a so called bouncer who thought it was his job to ask to see my name not my age.booked a table and while waiting a bouncer (if you can call him that) asked me for I'd, I responded laughing you must be joking as I am 43 and grey haired and to be honest felt quite happy that he said this but his attitude changed and he said he did not want to check my age but my I'd? after eventually getting in we waited 40 mins to get our drinks which was a joke as we entered at9.05 and we had booked a taxi for 10pm as that was to get the last train back to Weymouth were we live. Ady was amazing all night. Made sure we always had drinks (even if it meant making them himself), made sure we had food ordered and cleared our table, also had top notch banter. He made an average bar outstanding. Would highly recommend attending solely to see Ady.

Never written a review before but the service was the worst I have dealt with in my life over an hour to receive a drink, staff was so rude especially the manager in the horrible pink shirt. got aggravated and rude when I chased up the drink I waited an hour for which was literally just a bottle so did not take any time to prepare. the waiter was really nice but the bar staff where the worst I have seen at any place in Bournemouth

Ordered 2 chicken roasts through Just Eat for 8.40 and got a call at 8.50 saying the driver was lost, no problem. 9pm, still no food and the driver was not answering the phone. We called the restaurant and they said the food had been delivered but not to us. We asked them to send another one out to us and they started shouting at us down the phone, saying it’s not their fault the foods been given to someone else and said they are not giving us a refund. We explained we didn’t want a refund and we just wanted our food. The ‘manager’ we believe, was extremely rude and shouting and saying it’s not his responsibility and that it was our fault. Eventually, he sent us a new meal which took 20 mins so we got our food at 9.40(an hour later). When getting the replacement food the manager threatened us saying we ‘better not report the restaurant to Just Eat’ - as he had sent us new food. The food itself was mediocre- reminded us of school lunch cheap chicken and the order was missing cauliflower cheese portions of which we had paid extra for. We complained through Just Eat following procedure and they said they would escalate it further and get back to us within 48 hrs due to the rudeness of the manager . We thought that was the end of it, until we got a phone call at 10.50 shouting abuse once again at us because we had reported it. He said ‘you kids need telling off for what you’ve done’ We explained he was being totally unprofessional calling us this late and shouting. He replied with ‘I will slap you round the face you stupid little c**t’ before abruptly hanging up for which I can only assume was because he realised what he said.The whole experience of this restaurant was horrendous and the behaviour of who we believe to be the manager was disgusting.

How often can you quite reasonably say that every facet of the food that you ordered was considered in its preparation and brought a unifying sense of care and pride in ones work? Every component of my roast dinner at The Dancing Jug was superb. From the rich deep gravy to the veggies, every aspect of my experience had been thought about and elevated far beyond the average. The superb red cabbage had a beautiful hint of star anise and the roast potatoes were magnificent. Is it stupid to get excited about a roast potato? Not to me.The chicken had to be the most succulent I have had in a very long while.In short, this is my “go to” place for the best roast dinner that you can have outside your own kitchen.

So disappointed with our recent experience at the dancing jug. We arrived on time for our table and was told there was a 15 minute delay, which we stood in the entrance area waiting for. It was about 45 minutes before we were taken to our table where we were told our drinks would be meeting us there. After 65 minutes from our original booking we received our first round of drinks, we ordered a range of drinks and were all disappointed with the them. They were too sweet and didn’t taste like the common cocktails.Covid regulations were poor. We were sat at a five person table with six people squished together. There were screens dividing us from the table next to us although it still felt way too close. Only outdoor restaurants are allowed to open at the moment, you’ll see from my photo is not very open at all. With a permanent roof and 3 walls, I’m surprised they get away with calling it outdoors. The rule of 6 was also clearly disregarded on many tables with as many as 9 adults together.The venue was busy, overcrowded, drinks took too long, and even when they arrived they were awful.I feel like they had too many people/bookings and couldn’t keep up with them in terms of space of serving.Such a shame because it could have been great.

The new garden is amazing, undercover with new furniture and heaters! Highly recommend for a social distanced night out, the food is great also. The best thing though is the team, nothing too much trouble, Dione was exceptional making our experience very enjoyable, can’t wait to go back.

We went on a Monday for a boozy lunch. Fantastic deals on food and drinks! Staff are amazing, our waiter Ade/Ady was brilliant really funny and attentive 10/10 for service. The food was great the only feedback would be the pizza could have been cooked a bit more but that is my personal preference. The wings were outstanding and I class myself as an expert (I love buffalo wings) they are my first choice on any menu and these did not disappoint. It’s a very relaxed bar atmosphere and we will be back.

Found this jem of a bar while on a short break. Very relaxing atmosphere and great staff. The manager was very friendly and had good chats about football when quiet. Food brilliant and all a good prices. Definitely coming back and recommend it.

Best Sunday roast in Bournemouth. Friendly staff and good service. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. Ps they do deals mid week. Best being 1/2 price on a Monday. Enjoy.

This review is long overdue! What a find! Short walk from the beach, incrEDIBLE Sunday Roast in addition to an amazing menu and cocktails! Comfy, casual and classy environment! We brought the kids in the afternoon and met Jordan the bartender who is so down to earth and accommodating. Thank you for making us feel at home!
