Interior has improved since the last visit which looked more like a converted pizza restaurant and now Looks like a restaurant with a large bar. Spacious interior with well spaced tables. Has the Tokyo roll- was good. The duck main was good but has to order an additional portion of rice. Service was good. Gin and tonics was well priced.

Credits to the lady waiter who was incredibly accommodating and friendly, she worked super hard being the only staff on the restaurant floor on a Saturday. So kudos to the lady waiter. This seems to be old bar turned into Japanese restaurant so foods not authentic. Salmon was over cooked as the fish didn’t flake off. The miso aubergine should be sweet if they’ve made it the traditional way but it was just salty. The menu online is very different to the menu handed out on the day

This restaurant is so beautiful - with exposed brick, comfy chairs, and tables, and well-spaced too. It's just a street off Edgware road, so you have to know where you're going to find it. But it's beautiful. The service was very attentive by the owner. The restaurant is warm and cozy, and everything has a luxurious feel to it. There's a ground floor bathroom which is well-kept, smells nice, and is clean. The food was exceptional. I adored this place! We had: Starters: HOT BEEF SALAD - beautifully cooked rare beef on a pakchoi and beansprout salad MISO AUBERGINE Mains: TERIYAKI GLAZED DUCK BREAST MISO SALMON Sides: STEAMED BROCCOLI TRUFFLE STEAK CHIPS The food was all exceptional - and decent portion sizes too. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely meal on Friday night. Interesting interior- look like an ex- pizza placed cum pub turned into a Japanese. Had the miso aubergine, miso soup, hot beef salad and salmon tartare- all good. Had three sushi- tuna classic, try again and dragon: pretty good . Teriyaki glazed duck and Japanese curry was good. The mochi’s for desert was good. Service was slow- one waitress.

Food was full of flavour and freshly prepared. Staff were friendly and welcoming. In a quiet street and was cold inside when we went but we were early. Hot beef salad is delicious, yuzu seaweed salad was yummy, miso soup flavours were the best,

Had a craving for sushi somewhere in-between the high high end and Yo Sushi and chanced upon this place. Intending to do a lunch walk in for a la carte or one of their set menus, I was instead offered their Omakase menu only which is usually available via prior reservation only, more courses and of course, more expensive. The sitting was only half full so not sure why a la carte etc wasn't available. The edamame, dessert and miso were forgettable and barely deserving to make up three of the 11 courses (dessert was a scoop of ice cream) and the fish itself was good, prepared in front of you as you'd expect. It wasn't clear that the fish was "dry aged" so the flavours of classics were unique if familiar. The atmosphere was casual at lunch - this isn't pretentious although they still seem to be ironing out some kinks with the service - e.g some things were explained to one end of the counter and not the other. In addition to the lack of an a la option as suggested on their website (or set menus as featured in other reviews), the lunch Omakase is cheaper than on their website, which I only noticed after the fact as the so called encore sushi of your choice promised on the website was not offered so I double checked to ensure I had not misread. Overall a decent experience but some consistency in marketing/expectations management needed.

Introduced to this place earlier in the week and loved it. Really delicious food and love that you can choose your size of rice, spice and a side too. Really tasty and great value. Second visit and had the thinly sliced beef curry. Delicious. Not a place for a long meal but a perfect refuelling before heading off to theatre or something!

Fresh sashimi, with very attentive staff and good knowledge of the food and sake. Would recommend. Seating time is limited during busy season, it is advise to arrive on time

A fantastic little sushi restaurant. For lunch or dinner. Each of chefs selection (Omakasa) sashimi pieces had an actual melt in your mouth quality, that should be taken slowly and savoured for maximum taste. The reception staff, and waiting staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, with attentive service. The chefs were professional, and were visibly pleased to see us not only enjoy the food so much but also take their advice on the order the eat them. The head chef Rodriguez was a star, explaining where the fish and products were sourced from (many different places globally), while preparing the fishes in front of us, so we learnt the cuts and differences in texture and taste. We had great fun chatting to them all, with nice ambient music in the background. The prices were fair for the quality, and we probably over ordered during our stay because it was so good. We finished with the recommended homemade matcha cheesecake which was with only subtle matcha flavour (which suits me as I generally do not like matcha) and it was delicious. Lovely food and people. We will certainly be back.
