Tasty Toes - Shellfish to Go in Highland

We were amazed at the welcome we were given,the crab we bought so fresh and tasty and the crab brioche we ate at the pier was wonderful, we will be back for more. We loved it. Thank you

Delighted Tasty Toes has just opened for the 2024 Summer Season. My Wife's birthday today and in spite of the rain we returned to Tasty Toes and enjoyed one of Lee's excellent Fresh local crab brioche rolls! They were delicious and we received the friendly warm welcome from Lee.

The very definition of simple food prepared simply. Absolutely delicious and certainly worth a detour. Best lobster roll I’ve ever had, although I couldn’t choose between that or the crab…so we had both.

A hidden gem. Our tour guide suggested that we have lunch in this place. I had a tub of white crab meat . Yummmm ! If I had time I would have tried their lobster as well. Will come back again for more crab meat and the lobsters

Went for a walk with my partner, called in for a coffee, just glanced at the menu. WOW, we decided to have LOBSTER in a Brioche bun each, ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, So tasty, I've had my fair share of LOBSTER in the past, but this was pure heaven, served with a sachet of salt and pepper, plus a little pot of seafood sauce. 10/10 thank you.

After reading other reviews (and being a lover of seafood) we stopped off for a crab brioche roll (and a jar of cockles)… just 30 seconds off the A9, well worth a visit.. friendly service and great food.

This is Scotland answer to the traditional cornish fishing Harbours! Fresh crab and Lobster caught locally is served just feet away from where it was landed at Dunbeath Harbour. The views are excellent, parking is free and the service is excellent.

Paid a visit here with the good lady, had the crab and lobster roll and took a tub of the mixed crab meat. Run by a lovely lady and couldn’t be nicer.

Stopped off here during our NC500 trip. Lovely food and a super helpful owner; who was really friendly. Quality of the lobster was amazing - would highly recommend.

Lovely lady, service and amazing food! My partner had the lobster pot and was not disappointed. I had the lobster brioche roll, considering I don’t normally eat lobster - I have to say it was really good ! Definitely worth a visit

I popped by twice during my stay in Dunbeath. I ordered the brioche lobster roll twice and I was not disappointed. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and made sure that I had a selection or sauces to make sure that I found one that I enjoyed the most. Turns out it was thousand island. I very much recommend popping by, saying hello and getting a roll of your own (with thousand island).

Dunbeath Harbour front is one of our favorite stop offs where we can enjoy the scenery and relax. Great amenities including free parking and clean toilets. The icing on the cake for us is Tasty Toes. Run by Lea this seafood to go van makes delicious crab and Lobster roles and has other seafood items you can take home for yourself or for a gift for your friends. Lea serves hot and cold drinks and delicious ice creams sandwiches and chocolate. The service is excellent too. You need to arrive early if possible as the seafood is landed locally and soon sells out it is so popular. As the fish is fresh what's available depends on the weather and fish in season. Regardless even if it's cold Lea will give you a warm welcome.

Unbelievable lobster and crab brioche. Highly recommend, especially the crab. Located at Dunbeath Harbour which is well worth a visit, incredible views of the sea and Dunbeath Castle.

We went for a look at the harbour and were impressed to find Tasty Toes open in the midweek in April. The food didn't taste at all like toes - the crab in brioche was excellent as was the egg-filled roll, and sauce, napkins and an after-dinner mint were included in the bag. Service was fast and friendly. A real find.

We were thrilled to see the signs for this seafood shack after driving on the NC500 and not finding any fresh seafood! Yummy crab rolls and well worth following the sign for.

Well done Leigh for seeing an opening selling the fantastic shellfish your husband catches. Having nearly finished our NC500 west to east this was a gem of a find. We had been promised fresh seafood all the way round the route but apart from Ullapool haven’t found anywhere to eat, let alone eat seafood. Leigh and her husband clearly work very hard, catching, cooking and preparing the shellfish, I really hope you continue to thrive, your crab rolls were lovely and what a fantastic location . Well worth a visit.

Superb little shellfish shack just off the A9 at Dunbeath Harbour. We stopped to overnight here on the Harbour car park and pick up some beautiful crabmeat at this lovely, friendly take away. We made two meals from the crabmeat which was excellent. Hot and cold drinks available and rolls etc. Do not miss this little place, pull up and grab something to eat and enjoy the views to Dunbeath castle from this tranquil little Harbour. Definitely 5 stars for quality and location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A friend had told us the crab rolls from this tiny, one woman outlet were the best he had ever had. We specially went to Dunbeath harbour to find this take away eatery, and since my husband had forgotten to take me out to dinner...
