Said it would be up to an hour, called up after hour and 20 they fobbed me off we are now nearly at 2 hours. Called for a refund and cancel the order but was dismissive and kept saying 10 mins. Can’t rate the food as I don’t have it still

I go here often for a take-away and it's absolutely delicious every time. I do tend to stick to my usual favourite dish, but it's one of the best I've had in the UK! Certainly the best Chinese in Torquay!

Had a lovely takeaway which exceeded our expectations. Had a special fried rice and beef in black bean and was blown away by the quality and amount of the ingredients such as prawns. Not often you find a Chinese that is even better than the one you use locally as we are on holiday, but was very pleased with this choice.

Normally as a Coach Driver on Tour I eat in the Hotel but I just fancied something different and I found Tasty House on google maps just near the Hotel, I had mini spring rolls which were delicious and chicken curry which was one of the best I've ever eaten for flavour and texture. #CoachDriver #QualifiedChef #HarryShawTours

The decor is very basic, but don’t let that put you off. The food is really good, the price is very reasonable and the staff are lovely.

Lovely Chinese food freshly cooked in this restaurant. Bit of a back street establishment but don't be put off by that. Very friendly staff and food was really nice and good value. Recommended.

This little Chinese serves amazing food, has a lovely owner and is just the job for couples, groups or families wanting a meal out. As well as the restaurant they serve take away food and it must be a favourite with locals as the orders just kept coming!

Hidden gem, food was fab, if you are dining in please don't be put off if it's quiet, you won't be disappointed.

On holiday, we got off the bus at the wrong stop and found Tasty House in an area of takeaway foods. (Indeed, most of their trade is takeaway with a busy delivery service, which is an indication of how good the food is). It's probably an ex shop but the simply styled restaurant has around ten tables. The service was good, polite and not pretentious. We ordered King Prawn with Rice and the Special (House) Curry. The prawns were large and plentiful, the curry was flavourful, not too hot, with prawns and meats. We each had separate bowls of rice. We enjoyed our meals and were particularly impressed by the texture of the rice, which is often overlooked elsewhere. The quality of the food belies its location, so don't be fooled, it's very good.

We moved to Torquay from Hong Kong and this is our go-to place for an excellent Chinese meal out. The food is exceptional. The portion sizes are generous, the food is fresh and authentic. We can't fault it. I can't comment on the drinks as we eat-in with a jug of water. But, it's really really good food. If you eat in, it's always quiet as most of their orders are delivered. Don't let this put you off, it's always nice eating in a quiet place.

Had the best meal from here and looking forward to the next one.

We all loved the food here. Super delicious and reasonably priced. We had the pineapple chicken, sweet and sour chicken, BBQ pork ribs and the lemon chicken - all great.

Made a order with this Chinese and it’s was a lot more then it come to on website so I asked what was going on and they said the price has gone up so I ask why is the menu on the website saying old prices still she replied it hasn’t been updated for a while surely they have to honor the price advertised?

OK and at least lives up to the "Tasty" part of their name but lacks finition and quality. I ordered a special fried rice, it was served as meat and veg peices on top of rice- should have been finer cuts mixed into rice. Also ordered satay chicken but the sauce was not creamy or nutty. Watery with no visible nuts, tasty but odd and came across as cheap despite not been so. More like chicken and veg in a mild nut soup. A little disappointed, really not refined and the few tastes, while good, were fatty and one note. Had far better for the same price in a shopping centre food court. Would not recommend and would not return.

Fantastic, friendly service. Ordered the munch box in store for take away. Ready within 15 mins, piping hot, amazing tastes and great value for money. First time customer, will be back again.

Be prepared to get insulted by the chef when the waitress doesn't understand your order. There is a communication breakdown. Suggest you don't take suggestions from the waitress or staff... bad experience all around. Kids meals were OK but just totally tastless!! Name has changed from China Blue... definitely not tasty!!

Loved it even though it was a little expensive. It was early evening and packed out. They did however manage to squeeze us in.

Very friendly and kind staff. Fast service. Salt and pepper chips and the tofu is the nicest I've ever had. Please go here as it is phenomenal.

Although the restaurant was empty we arrived other turned up whilst we was their. Really worth the visit. This is a family run business. Although the staff ain’t great at speaking English the are extremely polite and helpful. Glad we could spend our evening with them.

As with another reviewer, I last visited when this was "China Blue". The new owners have freshened up the decor, although it is still a little basic. The service is very friendly and efficient. I had the King Prawns with Ginger and Spring Onions and it was very tasty and a good portion size. Although the restaurant was fairly quiet they were doing a lot of takeaway deliveries. I will return!

Absolutely stunning fresh food, friendly staff and great value. We had egg foo yong, sweet and sour prawn balls, beef curry and steamed rice. Could not fault anything great cold Tsing Tao. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Don’t be deceived by the location or the external appearance this is the hidden gem of Torquay

Had hard day at work so I thought I'd get a takeaway away. The chips were soggy and full of grease as was the pancake rolls and also the chicken balls aswell. As for the special chow main that was bland with no taste. Was an absolute let down and a waste of £21.00 as most of it bypassed the dog and went straight into the been. Last thing you want after a hard day at work but oh well I know never to go to tasty house again.

Been a customer for nearly 20 years, don't bother with Chinese food from anywhere else!

hopefully get better customer service I paid £19 for a order requested curry sauce instead of sweet and sour and was given sweet and sour to save my food going cold and waiting on a curry sauce I request a small discount of £5 on my next order to be told no.. totally unhappy with the service received a shame really as one thing I can say is the food is actually really good just unhappy I paid £19 for a order and had to eat dry egg fried rice and chips as no sauce so my meal was not as enjoyable think they would treat there customers a bit better....

Just as good if not better than when it was the China Blue. Very good food and plenty of choice if you dont want the set menus. Service very good, kind and attentive. They do a lot of take aways/deliverys if you dont want to eat in. Located just down from the Central Church before you get to the Town Hall.
