I was staying in a hotel nearby, walked in for a takeaway and it was ready within 10 minutes, friendly service and very good food.

Nice and hot, pancake rolls fantastic currys had too many onions but tasted great.

Really good food, good value though there delivery driver could do with a lesson in customer relations. Having said that will go there again.

I find the last "Very Negative post" interesting! (maybe a jealous competitor) I myself have had numerous take aways from here and have always had a great meal. It is not cheap, however nothing seems to be nowadays. The young man that takes the orders is very perficient and is very pleasant. All in all a good Chinese take away. I will be ordering one later on.

On holiday from Lincolnshire, had a lovely takeaway from here, food was hot, everything cooked to perfection, no complaints at all..thank you very much

Disappointed, used to be amazing food, this time curry sauce was thick and tasted awful, brand chow mein, sticky rice, chicken balls were tasteless. Bag was packed with small trays at the bottom so large tray with ribs had tipped over and leaked sauce. Won't be returning

Had some food tonight and so cold when delivered,which was not normal as we have had it b4 and was nice and hot but tonight was cold

We have just had one of the best Chinese Take away meals. We had Crispy seaweed, with Prawn Crackers. Followed by Special Curry, Mushroom Chow Mein, Egg Fried Rice and Chips. The food was hot and tasty - and the Chow Mein WAS'NT greasy - (as it can be from some take aways).Service was with a smile and very prompt. Thoroughly recommend this take away.

Good food, good service and quickly cooked fresh while I waited outside with a great view of the harbour. Will be trying more dishes.

The rice was like it had been over cooked or it has been cooked and cooked again. Curry was awful bland no taste to it. Expensive for the quality of food you get.

Waste of time and money noticed as I entered the Chinese there was about six staff rushing around shoving takeaway orderes into bags ready for delivery that's why the standard of food is crap really bad a million miles away from authentic Chinese what's happened too these Chinese takeaways they use too be so good growing up there absolute garbage know 🗑️ ordered a beef curry with egg fried rice and a can of soft drink £11.70 absolute ripp off

The food was exceptionally tasty. The chicken balls were crispy without being overcooked. The egg fried rice tasted exceptional and every other dish we ate was excellent. I will definitely be returning to this takeaway again!!

Always come here when I visit paington. I haven't been in 15 years, and it hasn't changed a bit. Lovely Chinese food, good prices, and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Received Chinese which took around 1hr 15 mins to arrive and when it did it was stone cold. I called to let the manager know, and she more as less called me a lier, I explained that even the driver apologised as they had to return another order hence why it took so long, the Manager was just totally disinterested. £65 down the drain. Thanks.

All I can say about the Special curry and boiled rice I paid over £10.00 for, is it was the worst excuse for Chinese curry I've ever had, the food itself was tasteless and would have been a miracle if it was fresh As you can guess, it all went in the bin, needless to say I wont be returning, EVER !

While on holiday in Paignton, we went for a chinese takeaway at 6.15pm for a change from Pub food and/or chips meals. They were quite busy with phone , face to face and just eat/deliveroo orders. I had Lemon Chicken and my partner had Chicken with pineapple. Food was tasty although not the best with had. Not bad value

A super Chinese take away positioned right on the harbour. An open kitchen so you can watch the staff cook the food. Prices are very good and food is delicious. We asked for forks and spoons and ate our food overlooking the harbour. A few "timed" parking spaces opposite but I think free after 6pm. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Lovely food and so polite on the phone especially the young lad I speak to and delivery times good. I meet so many miserable rude people in life and it’s so nice to have a polite young person on the phone taking my order.

Came here because of the reviews so here I go GOOD points food was ok service was good loved the open space kitchen, BAD POINTS never got the right order and was missing spring rolls. Would I go here again (Maybe not shame really)

Ordered on Saturday evening for collection, food was ready efficiently and service was fantastic. Hands down THE BEST Chinese I've had in the bay since moving down here 4 years ago and I've tried a few to say the least. Everywhere else I have ordered from have left me disappointed in some way or another but Rickshaw Boy will be the only one taking my money from now on. Nice pleasent server, good food and piping hot, not too long of a wait.

Here on holiday for a week and the food was that nice the first time, that we decided to have it again before we left. The food was amazing. The prices are similar to other places that we’ve eaten at and the portion sizes were spot on. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Honestly this is the best Chinese takeaway I've had in a long time. The food was excellent in both flavour and portions. I wish this was my local and not just the local to our holiday home.

2nd time we have ordered from here, 1st time food came it was tepid at best, let it go because there were so many good reveiws, put it down to being busy, 2nd time it was the same, really disappointed, did try to call to complain but the line was constantly engaged.

Run of the mill Chinese food, prices not all that cheap, particularly for set meals compared to others nearby and not worth that extra cost.

So pleased to find this place, above all competition in my local town, would happily drive the 15 minutes to pick up from here. Prices better than most, very generous portions and great views while you wait, also nice to see an open wok kitchen in action... How it should be with Chinese food! I have traveled in East Asia and the food here for a takeaway has a more authentic feel and style. Only disappointment was finding out they don't do HO FUN anymore, even though the picture was still on the menu, one of my favourite noodle dishes and usually only available in restaurants. If they had still done this it would've been my new favourite takeaway. However it's still right up there compared to many others around here. Will be back to try some other dishes!

Unreal. Best Chinese takeaway we've ever had and a shame we were only visiting on holiday. Super friendly on the phone and when delivering.

King prawn ginger and spring onions was beautiful. However, the chicken chow mein was 95% noodles, which were tasty, but not much else, minimal chicken, in fact not much could be found. Not sure that I would order from them again as very disappointed. Previously a lot better.

Just ordered for first time. Was a little shocked at their prices, expensive compared to other Chinese, but thought okay should be nice. Food was delivered and the curry sauce was split and all over the food, such a mess! Stained all my work top. So the food was Luke warm, had to zap in microwave. Noodles and rice were poor, very little prawns, meat etc more like plain noodles and egg fried rice. Very disappointed

Used to be better than it is now, sadly. Spring rolls had a wonderfully thin crispy pastry(?) covering, now that is thicker and not nearly as good - please go back to how you used to make them, guys! Tasty mushroom curry but last time (about 6 months ago..) I was v.sick afterwards and I don't know for sure if it was that (don't know what else it coulda been) but I'm hesitant to buy again.

Terrible. Firstly they got the order wrong. Asked for King prawn chow mein and got chicken. Girlfriend had chicken black bean. Within 1 hour of eating it she was violently sick. Was ill 8 times and didn't sleep. Chips were awful. Dry and tasteless. Ended up binning them. One Chinese to avoid. Even after phoning up to complain the staff didn't seem bothered. Didn't even offer a refund. Very disappointing.

Utter garbage. £2.70 for prawn crackers they pulled from under the till. Special chow mein and a crispy chilli beef - soup. They run on tourist naivety!

Always was our 'go to' Chinese. 10yrs +.Very rare not to have 1 a wk. Partner usually has same, tonight I ordered Cantonese Combo. 9 pieces meat in total 3 duck 3 pork 3chk. Wouldn't cover palm of my hand together! Nothing Cantonese about it. Mass noodles, 2 pieces onion. Rang to complain, informed this is it! Over £7+. Disappointed is an understatement! Oh well, Ping, we will take our business elsewhere.

We were stopping in the local premier inn and had a delivery. The food was gorgeous and still quite hot - which is always a bonus. Very pleased. Great service and value from start to finish.

This was our first time getting a takeaway from here definitely will Not be the last the food was great we will try their deliver service next time............... Update................. Over the last 3 years we have had some great meals. Tonight I had a Chicken curry it was the best one I have had ever.

Used this takeaway for years and alway been happy with our food but feel it is dropping in standard . We always got prawn crackers with our order free as a complimentary item and this is no more! also just over a month ago the price for our meal was around £13 and now £17.90 nearly a £5 rise ! We know prices have to go up but this we feel is to make money out of poor holiday makers and that reflects on the locals like us who have to pay this extortionate price . But these places that are greedy must remember when the holiday makers have gone you only have the local trade which you deserve to lose !

We eat takeaway deliveries every two or three nights whilst on our regular and extended stays down here and I’ve been working my way through the well known eating app because it’s so convenient, but been so disappointed with all of them. One day one is good then next time bad and so it goes on. So we retried Rickshaw Boy after an extended period. The food this evening was much better than everything else we’re recently tried. Cantonese Beef was good although I prefer a bit more “oomph”. Prawns in ginger and spring onion fresh and flavoursome and they were quality king prawns. The duck chow mein we like a bit more beansprout. But we will ask next time! The food was clearly very freshly made to order, delivered promptly and was excellent value. They also keep the place fastidiously clean as you’ll see if you pass by during the day and they are all hard at working thoroughly cleaning everything down. I really do believe that at the moment they are the best of all local Cantonese restaurants and I hope they do add an app to their site so I can order on-line! Keep it up ……. :) Jeff

We ordered a Chinese chicken curry, rice and chips. It was vile. The curry was a red/brown colour, and it looked spicy, unlike a normal Chinese chicken curry, but we were hungry so we started eating it. It was incredibly spicy, like an Indian. Chinese chicken curry is mild, this was like a jalfrezi, we ate a few mouthfuls but had to throw it away. It was inedible. We were only visiting Paignton for a few days, but that was the worst meal we ate during our entire trip.

Really pleasant, helpful staff. We ordered at the counter and only had to wait 10 minutes, which we spent on a bench overlooking the harbour. Excellent takeaway food and generous portions. Recommended.

This is by far the best Chinese takeout in the Bay, I use them pretty frequently and the food is always good and you don’t get that horrid heavy feeling after eating, like a lot of Chinese places give you.

We preordered a meal for Saturday night when all the roads were closed for an air show but they delivered on time.The meal for 4 served 6 with healthy appetites.The sweet and sour chicken balls were the best I’ve ever tasted with chunks of chicken not the mush you usually get.It’s the first we have used this takeaway but it will now be our takeaway of choice

This has to be the best Chinese takeaway that we've ever been to, we have meals from here on a regular basis and have never ever been disappointed and a very efficient service, would definitely reccomend ordering from here.

This is one of the best Chinese takeaways around in my opinion. I regularly used to get some food and eat it over looking the harbour. I can really recommend their Salt & Pepper Chilli Chicken 👌🏼, also their curries are good.

Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Food turned up late and luke warm, had to microwave everything.Plus no longer do you get free prawn crackers no matter how much you spend. Disappointing.

Good quality food , far from being bland . “ One man’s meat is another man’s poison” Can’t please everyone’s taste bud. Service is excellent and one can see the chef cooking . Price is very reasonable and what do people expect , a 5 star culinary cuisine with Champagne taste and on a Beer budget ?

This is a great Chinese takeaway, consistent quality meals prepared right in front of you adding to the atmosphere of the place and the service is quick from the friendly staff. The place is always busy which is always a good indicator, comes highly recommended and one of the best in the bay!

Usually have a takaway from here as has been good in the past but his visit was a big dissapointment. Large price increase but quality was poor! Had a house special chop suey and the gravy tasted of nothing but water and very little meat...

The food was just about edible, the driver who worked for just eat,Uber eats,delivroo took an hour to deliver but ending up missing some items so whoever got those little bit of extra on their order, enjoy!.. it feels like the food was in transit...

Lovely apartment with a great terrace and fantastic view of the harbour. All our family enjoyed their stay and the apartment is ideally placed for a 5 minute walk to town and the train station - for trains to Torquay and Plymouth. Didn't have to use the car at all, which was great. Definitely one of our best family holidays!

Not the best meal tonight. King prawn and beef curry Only had 2 prawns in the curry. Tray special should be in a foil tray.

Lovely Chinese food, freshly cooked with helpful staff. Food was cooked within the given time and was ready upon arrival. My fiancé who is coeliac was able to order a few gluten free dishes and these were really enjoyable. We will definitely be returning

Ordered a Chinese from here on our first night of camping at Beverley park and it didn’t disappoint. Beef chowmein, ribs, egg rice, spring rolls, salt and pepper chicken and house special curry all real tasty and value for money.
