Me and my partner ordered take out from here today. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed in. It was a beautiful experience, the staff were loverly and friendly and the food was stunning. Would definitely be returning 👌😍

This resturant could be brilliant if the food tasted better! The decor is average, the service is OK but unfortunately the food is very bland. They apparently pride themselves on "freshly cooked food". We ordered Ribs, (the ones you get from tesco with their sauce on them). Mussels which were no-where near fresh and chewy. The Duck pancakes were nice. Dumplings are OK but definitely frozen, then we had the Sweet 'n' Sour chicken and fried rice. The chicken was bland and chewy and definitely not fresh, the sauce was tasteless and watery, and as for the rice, it was unfortunately not fried but more boiled and unseasoned with a bit of egg thrown in. In all honesty it's very cheap, so you pay for what you get! But don't expect great food and it's definitely not fresh!!

Great Dinner at Tang Tang I had a wonderful time at Tang Tang! The service was friendly and fast, and the Peking Duck was amazing—crispy skin and tender meat. The place has a nice vibe, perfect for enjoying good food. Definitely recommend it.

I’ve not been to many Chinese restaurants, I’m usually an order in, takeaway girl but I have been to this restaurant twice now, and every time the food is exceptional. The starter platter, every single dish had so much flavour and you can tell it’s quality ingredients. The main dishes were also amazing, the sweet and sour Hong Kong chicken being the star of the show! I definitely recommend this restaurant, if you haven’t been you definitely need to ☺️

Absolutely lovely! Such an attentive lady that served us & so friendly too. We were staying at The Hilton around the corner & fancied something other than fish & chips. So glad we called in, we shared a set menu which was was more than enough food - next time we are in Torquay we will most definitely be back. Thank you

When we arrived the place was cold and we had to keep hat and coat on. Little ambience. We had to complain about the starter as the spring rolls were over cooked and the ribs were hard. The waitress refused to accept our feedback and tried to justify them that they'd been cooked correctly. When presented with the bill, we were given biscuits (fortune cookies)that were out of date! The following day two of the three of us had extremely painful tummies and felt quite unwell. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. We won't be returning.

Lovely night, as a stunningly indecisive pair at times we had the set banquet which was gorgeous from start to finish, just be sure to start hungry because the servings are large and varied. Not only was all the food amazing, it was delivered quickly by the friendly and helpful staff who then let us feel unpressured and relaxed for the whole time. Definitely a great night, and think we'll have to go back to try a few different things!

This little restaurant has to be Torbays best kept secret!! It was wonderful! We had booked a table but we could walk straight in. The staff were 2 ladies who were just so nice! We ordered 2 or 3 dishes and they came out very quickly. I just can’t fault the place. The decor was Chinese which is what we want in a Chinese restaurant. The whole place was just brilliant we can’t wait to be back there so we can go again!!!

This excellent Chinese restaurant offers some extra special dishes beyond the mile long generic menu usually on offer. Lobster, mussels, sea bass. Beef fillet. Left overs to take home placed in foil containers, not plastic. Delightful and engaging waitress. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

A brief visit to Torquay and what a find! Absolutely beautiful food. Great staff. Unfortunately there were 2 young guys in who had ordered food and were intending to walk without paying 🤬 But the female staff stood her ground, was professional and the situation was dealt with quickly. The whole experience was top notch and I’m only sad that my trip to Torquay was short and I couldn’t go again!! The aromatic duck was the best I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot lol.

Been going to this place many years whilst on holiday, had to go three out of five days as so good.wish we had a restaurant like this near us. Good clean food at a reasonable cost.

Unfortunately, the post dinner affect the food had on me was concerning. I'm a regular visitor to Chinese restaurants but the hot and sour soup in this restaurant defeated me.

Would drive back four hours to come here for lunch then drive back home. Food was amazing literally.

Went here last night, got a very warm welcome on arrival. Beautiful restaurant, the whole place is spotless. The food was amazing, piping hot and plentiful. The staff are very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Would certainly recommend this lovely restaurant

Very friendly place. As soon we opened the door in we were welcomed in. I had the special curry rice and my partner the sea bass. Both were delicious.

Went for a takeaway here as the Chinese up the road on the other side of the road had just closed. Normally you get 10% off for takeaway, not here. Okay I thought, if the food is good then that's okay. Unfortunately, the Curry and the rest of the food was very Bland. Spring Rolls were flat and gooey, Special Rice, not so special, so all ended up in the Bin!

Brilliant food which was delicious and the staff were very attentive and friendly! Would highly recommend to anyone! The interior looked brilliant too! The pork in honey sauce was incredible as well as the kung po chicken!

The best Chinese restaurants we have visited ! The food and service was exemplary. We had a set banquet for two and the presentation was brilliant. The portion sizes were plentiful and extremely tasty. The waitress was very attentive through out the meal although the restaurant was nearly full. Absolutely faultless !!!!

As Torquay ‘locals’ we have visited Tang Tang several times. Each time we have been it has been consistently excellent in terms of place, service and food. We always receive a warm welcome from the ladies who serve to be followed by efficient but not rushed service. The place is always clean, including the toilets. There is a wide menu and we have always been pleased by the quality of food. Tang Tang is situated close to the harbour and is well worth a visit.

Down in Torquay visiting. Fancied Chinese and found Tang Tang while I was wandering about. Felt very guilty as I was so early I disturbed the staff meal. They were lovely, food was excellent and delivered at right time between courses, no hanging around the table either. Food was of an excellent quality and I won't hesitate to go there again next time I'm down here.5* Sorry, nearly forgot to mention, I have no food allergies but staff did ask before taking my order 👍

Not very often you can actually stamp and say that you had authentic Chinese cuisine. I can say - I did !!! If ever you are in Torquay and you are craving for some fantabulous Chinese food, you place to go is Tang Tang. Lovely, kind staff, good beer, aromatic & mouth watering food. We had Chicken Noodles and Dumplings, steamed rice, it was absolutely amazing. I am not missing a chance to go there if I am in Torquay. Well done to whole staff.

Very expensive for a takeaway, you seem to be paying eat in prices, over priced and no justification for these kind of prices, eg, £4 for a small portion of bland chips and spring rolls £5.95, so small one bite .. food wasn’t too bad but definitely not worth the money, sorry

Popped in here about a year ago, had the greatest Chinese roast duck I,ve ever had, what a difference a year makes, this time around the roast duck was so dissapointing, in fact it was awful, the price had Increased conciderably, this to me wasn't a problem, what was a problem was the portion size and the quality of the duck, there was no joy in eating here and sadly my wife and I won't be returning.

My friend was visiting and we fancied something different from the usual curry. I had not been to this restaurant in a very long time so never certain as to whether the place had changed hands/chef? Anyway we took a chance, so glad we did. I had sizzling beef with ginger and spring onion, my friend had beef in oyster sauce plus egg fried rice to share, along with noodles. Oh my goodness, absolutely gorgeous. Service was very good and as we were there at 8:30 there wasn't much of a wait. Delicious.

Now this restaurant need to amend their menu..in regards to their whole seabass...they say its whole and give a whole price of £16....thank god I asked about it because if they think I'm paying for(these are the owners exact words) if it's a big fish you only get 1 side of fish........if its a small fish you get the 2 sides ....what a disgrace for this type of service....reduce your prices for not getting the whole fish as I wanted it whole and display the truth on the menu instead of the lies uvput on the menu! We had fried fish with vegetables,vermicelli noodle and chicken fried rice.the fish and noodle was excellent but the rice was ok .I would of given a 5 had the rice not been doused in way too much soy sauce and u were honest with the menu side of your fish.

Absolutely delicious and great service. The Banquet A is truly an endless amount of food, we were STUFFED. Had to take quite a bit of it home. Also the Sea Bass in the ginger sauce is incredible, fresh caught and cooked superbly. Enough to split between two people with a side of rice, perhaps also an appetiser if you’re hungry.

Lovely food, well cooked and tastey. If i was to make a criticism it would be that there was nothing to keep the food hot on the table. However this will not deter us from visiting again next time we are here on a break.

Wasn't really that impressed, my food(noodles) had obviously been cooked for a while as a lot of them had dried out. And the portion was small too. Probably won't be going back there unless everywhere else is fully booked or closed.
