Used to order from them a lot but after Friday 27 September , won’t be ordering from here anymore. The jollof and turkey that we ordered via uber eats was going bad. This was my husband’s birthday breakfast so imagine how upsetting it was. Quality control must have really gone down the drain for you to sell slimy food at 11am on a Friday.

DANGEROUS! I ordered beans and there were stones in it! I called to tell them the lady seemed apologetic and shocked and told me a manager would call me. No manager called me, I left it and ordered again a few months later stones were in the beans again! Not only is that disgusting it’s also dangerous a child could be eating it!

UPDATE: We returned to the restaurant just this morning but are not happy with the service. You pay to get your food warmed. You pay to sit to eat. Very unfortunate! Great Africa food served here. The puff puff and meat pies are delicious. You sometimes have to join a queue to place an order.

My partner and I walked past and were curious about the food and restaurant. He went in to get a menu or see what they have to be given screwed up faces and a bad attitude when asked questions, they didn’t seem to have most things on the menu but that wasn’t the issue. The customer service was disgusting, it’s like you don’t want people to purchase from you… if that’s the case, close down. It gives a bad reputation for ethics restaurants. If people aren’t greeted with a smile when they come into your establishment or just general manners then what is the point. This was around a month ago but I am sure nothing has changed. The experience was that bad it’s stayed in my mind.

This branch is by far the worst, staff are rude and useless. I called in advance to check what I was wanted was in stock, I was told it was so I made my way only to be told it had sold out. I queried this given I had just spoken to someone on the phone, the lady serving shrugged her shoulders and said maybe I didn’t come on time. As I was leaving the customer behind asked for the same thing and I could hear them asking if she was the one who called and as I stopped and looked back they were conversing about me. Staff are pathetic and the customer service is shocking. Save yourself the trip and don’t bother buying food here.

Very poor customer service from their staff. An omission was made by the staff from my order, I noticed this omission on arriving back home and gave a call to the restaurant immediately. It was agreed over that call that I could come back that day or the next day to pick up the omitted items. I was then blamed on the phone that the omission was “my fault” because I kept going “back and forth” with my order. On getting there the next day, I wasn’t acknowledged by the staff (Abiodun- same person who attended to me the day before and spoken to over the phone), after attending to other customers who came in after me, she proceeded to tell me that unfortunately the item i ordered had finished and it’s my fault for not calling beforehand to let them know I was coming to collect it. A whole scene was created and other customers had to intervene in sorting this out simply because the staff was reluctant to give me other items available in replacement of what I had ordered. The staff in this branch have always had an attitude and this experience was taken too far, you really need to work on your customer service as it is extremely bad.

Tasty’s is good . Most meals are tasty. Although the jollof rice sometimes contains too much oil which needs to be worked on. Their pastries are also very nice especially the meat pie, However their customer service is wack to say the least. It is very sad that you own a business and employ rude staff especially the girls in Chatham high street branch. Most of them are rude and arrogant and this isn’t good business. At least the girls need to learn some good customer service ethics and skill so as not to kill the owners business with bad attitude. Otherwise overall. Tasty’s is good.

The delivery was not suitable at all... delivery time kept on changing and I had to wait more than and hour and 30mins just to get my food. Apart from that, food is okay and enjoyable only thing that might need to be adjusted is the delivery process.

Looked at the menu on Google before going in however those prices are not what I was charged 😂 £20.38 for a goat stew and rice 😐 overally spiced to the point there wasn't much flavour, food was microwaved also. The goat stew was not nice at all, very tough meat, lots of grizzle and skin. Not the African food I'm use to and will just wait for my friends to cook for me in future 😅

Tired of these overpriced restaurants with bad bad costumer service. I ordered Suya from here which you could already tell was not fresh, upon getting home turns out the suya had mold on it. I call the restaurant the next day only to be told there's nothing they can do. Any other business will offer something due to this but as we know, it's like they're doing us a favor when buying at a Nigerian resturant. Another black business I won't be visiting again. Good luck to you. You're going to need it.

I bought okro from them and they charge £2 to reheat costing £12.50 for a portion of okro then inside the plastic container there was one big piece of cow leg which was all bone , honestly speaking I wasted my money as I had 1 peace of beef and cow leg bone. Very discouraging. Also the the girls in the counter keep talking their language infront of customer while serving u , u don't even know what they are saying about u or how to pack ur food . Disgusting

I took my family for lunch. General overview the food is over priced, as if this is not enough their Service is very poor. Some chic at the Counter called Mary has an attitude problem. The staff by their facial expression and body language seems like they do not want to be there. I ordered Jallof rice with beef. The beef was under cooked. The cutlery was very poor quality as it couldn't even cut through the undercooked meat. One small piece of meat was £2.64 and a portion of plantain £2!!. We decided to wash our pricy food down with bottled Fanta.' 'Mary with the attitude'' did not even bother to give us an opener. She probably expected us to open the bottles with our teeth. With £2 service charge per person the least I expected was a bottle opener. Please avoid this is place at all cost, with that attitude I can not trust the kitchen. I would recommend any one reading to this review to try '' Golden Dishes'' on Luton Road in Chaltham. It is the opposite of Tasty Africa.I suggest Africa is removed from the name as our dear continent is being dragged through Mud. TASTY AFRICAN NOT. Please shoot me if you ever see me at this place..... 😜😜😜😜

I love Nigerian food and I’ve always wanted to taste food from Tasty Chatham only to be welcomed by very rude girls at the tills with poor customer service .Their facial expressions and body language clearly portrays they are being disturbed when you are placing an order as their attitude is just off . I had Jellof rice with turkey and it was nice but it’s such a shame how they treat customers . One lady who came later on as we were about to finish our food was very nice and friendly , seems like she was their boss . They really need to improve on how they handle customers and it’s sad they just lost one as i will never going back there .

Absolutely disappointed! Walked in to order take-away and I asked the rude girl at the till if the rice and the goat was spicy and she said no, I specifically said “it’s because I have to share with my baby” and she said “it’s not spicy” I spend £17 + in rice, she DIDNT give me goat, instead lot of skin from who knows what and the rice tasted and smelled BURNED! I rang furious because the “goat-it wasn’t goat at all” was VERY spicy and she could only blame ME! I rang a second time to say that she didn’t even give me goat and she then apologise and said “this is the way we make it and sorry if for me was spicy” for ANYBODY that was spicy imagine if I just give a mouth full to my baby? Absolutely disgusting, no other words will described! I have to mentioned that my other 2 friends also ordered the same and we all left the food!

I was in the area and really fancied proper food so I went to Tasty. This was my first time visiting after a few years as I usually order from the Woolwich branch and have since moved to Kent. The taste quality has really gone down. I was shocked at how bad the jollof rice tasted. The fried fish was okay but extremely overpriced for the portion size. I appreciate that the cost of living crisis has driven up prices, but that meal was a sheer waste of money given the poor taste. The meat pie was nice though! I don’t think I’ll be ordering mains from Tasty again - it’s just not worth it unfortunately. It doesn’t help that I found one of the servers to be unfriendly and rude.

Food The food here is amazing. I've tried everything, I usually buy meat/fish pies, jollof and moi moi, sometimes pounded yam and egusi soup. It is very tasty, well presented, generously portioned and affordable however where they let themselves down is forecasting expected sales, often in the evenings they'll tell you jollof is finished long before their schedule closing time. Service Their service is so poor. The owner is smiley and enthusiastic in her manner but the girls who work for her treat customers with disdain. So grumpy, I wonder if they applied for their jobs or if they are here by force. Black customers who are familiar with the food may tolerate their rudeness and return for the food but this will never be more than just a niche market business serving a narrow demographic with customer service like this. Atmosphere I've come to spend money but feel unwelcome. Subsequently the atmosphere is poor. Occasionally music is played but it seems it's more for the staff than customers. When my workplace discusses where to have a team meal I wish I could suggest an African restaurant but tasty is the kind of place you can't take people unless they are already familiar with the food.

Always find things interesting when I visit any branch. Good food most of the times, any of the store you visit, their treats (or chops) are on point but it's the people serving at times that might let you down. Today, was good but maybe I am asking for too much, I dunno. One thing is clear, you buy from people mostly and how they make you feel. Ignore the people shortfall sometimes if you can but go and get the meal as they're delish. Atmosphere can do with a little background afrobeat music or something as there is eat-in. That will lift up the spirit in there I guess.

Small but welcoming place for Nigerian food. I haven't tried the food here yet (just the pastries for now) but the puffpuff is excellent. The bread here is like agege bread, for people who miss that taste. They also have Nigerian-style meatpie and its really nice. Edit: the jollof rice here is very nice.

Delivered at 3.30pm instead of after 5pm by Deliveroo. Mixed up order - got Eforiro instead of Egusi. Made excuses instead of replacing mixed-up order. Had the audacity to ask me to go to restaurant for replacement! 😱 And then the "we are sorry, ma" started 😔 Eforiro had large bones, probably fish bones in it! Poor customer service

The Puff Puff was exceptional, we had 4 pieces for a pound, I wasn't so pleased with the oha and egusi soups, being an Igbo person, it didn't cut it for me, The chef is a Yoruba and hence the eforiro was very nice! The rates are not outrageous. In all, it is better than nothing!

Not to mention you get attitude from them when you go back instead of them to apologise for their mistake. First and last time I will go into this branch of Tasty. Normally use the Woolwich branch, where the food is pretty good and the service is ok. We phoned are order ahead, but was still made to queue for nearly 25 minutes to find the order had not even been started on, even though we were told 5 minutes over the phone. Got to the front, but someone pushed in, the staff allowed it (I had my 7 year old and did not want to cause a scene) and when I finally got served, the order was not ready, the staff were arguing over it, they got completely confused with the customers order behind me and forgot part of the order, so I had to go back to get it. Took over an hour in total and got home to find the Jollof was drenched in oil, the beef was hard and the Ayamase was stone cold (from the fridge), so had to start heating things in different stages. The Puff puff was the best bit, but was fairly fresh up when I got there and again, needed heating up as that had gone cold. Will not be going back there again.

Just never open. Closes whenever it feels like it and always out of ingredients. Staff are lovely and they make some nice sandwiches but not being open at peak times is wild.

Food was delivered on time but the cold drinks were in the same bag as the food and was therefore not very hot. The food was not in an insulated bag either, just a supermarket carrier bag.

Waited 15 minutes after being seated for order to be taken and paid for at that point then another 23 minutes before it arrived (obviously they know customers may walk if delivery takes too long). Items were ok......ish but nothing special. Would not win any prizes for speedy service thats for sure. In all honesty, would not recommend this venue.

Honestly, the food is OK. But you need to watch what you have been charged and double check that change. On 3 occasions I have been overcharged on my card and it was only recognised when I questioned the prices and asked for a full break down. People seem nice, and the food is OK, just keep a close eye on what you are paying for.
