'Twas really a taste of kerala, we wereca big group, ordered a lot of different items from the menu and happy to report that everything was awesome 👌 a big thumbs up from us. Do give it a go.

We were very happy with our visit to Taste of Kerala. Very nice selection of food and friendly service. We would especially like to thank Maria for her attentiveness. In particular, the selection of breads (specialist naans etc.) is very good. The special Kerala-style naan and fish dish is out of this world. It's nice and warm in the restaurant and we had a very enjoyable meal. Good value for money in these challenging times.

Very much dissatisfied with the food. One of the worst Biriyani I ever had in my life. I ordered chicken biriyani takeout yesterday(02/11/23) around 9.0 clock and payed 8pounds(7.99). The food which I got can’t be called as ‘ Biriyani’ and it doesn’t even worth the half of its value. They gave me rice which has no flavour of Biriyani; looks like plain white rice with few fried onions and cashews, 1boiled egg and 2 piece of fried chicken.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times. It's a good restaurant with some nice kerala food options at an affordable price. Service is a bit slow when it is crowded, food is good. Kerala Porotta is awesome! I loved the beef items.

Very bad experience , they dont have enough staff and kept us waiting for 1hour and 30min to get our takeaway , and the behaviour of the receptionist lady was very bad , she was very useless woman , with lots of attitude , Will never be going there again and food is also average . Not at all worth waiting more than 1 hour there.

Date- 29/08/2022 The worst biriyani I ever eat from London. The staff took my order not fit for food Industry, she didn’t ask wether i need anything else and not bother give water. It was the worst experience. I suggest the management to re-evaluate the food and staff performance. I hope this will see by management and do the proper action. I would like visit more here after the issues solve. When see the reviews in google I understand most people have give 5 star for drinks or food offer by the staff. It’s not worth of any penny.

Not worth it. I tried their fish moly and it was quite bad. However, my friend had tapioca with fish curry, which was good. The service is terrible. The management also runs another restaurant called taste of India, nearby and the staff are oscillated between them. Had to wait a long time due to the lack of staff.

This South Indian restaurant is amazing! They serve tasty dishes like dosas and curries. What's cool is they also have a little bar with drinks. So, you can enjoy the food and have a good time with drinks too. Super place for trying new flavors and having fun!

It was just a good experience having food from taste of kerala. I had the chatti choru and the beef ulathiyathu. The taste was amazing and enjoyed the food. The service and the staff was very respectful and overall i enjoyed well

I went to this restaurant the food quality was very poor and very oily food the Masala Dosa was very oily and the fillings tasted like been frozen just heated also the service was very bad please avoid this place waste of money and the waitress are very rude

I recently visited this restaurant after seeing some enticing Instagram reels, and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. The service provided was nothing short of abysmal, leaving me quite disappointed. Upon arrival we had ordered 5 dishes, taking nearly 45 minutes to be served. To make matters worse, they managed to forget one of the dishes we ordered entirely. This kind of oversight is unacceptable, especially considering the anticipation we had for the meal. As if that weren't enough, we also ordered beverages to accompany our meal. But to our dismay, they forgot to bring those as well. When we brought it to the attention of the only person working at the counter, who was responsible for taking orders and serving the food, he responded in a dismissive manner, stating that they were very busy. This response was deeply unsatisfying as it raises the question: if the restaurant was so busy, why were they still accepting orders they couldn't handle?. The overall lack of attentive service, the failure to manage orders efficiently, and the unimpressive food quality all contribute to an incredibly disappointing dining experience.

Taste of Kerala tries it best to provide authentic malayali food. The only reason I’m giving 5 stars isn’t because it’s authentic but the restaurant is trying its best. We had chicken roast(5/5), special chicken65 (3/5,it’s more like chilli chicken dry), porotta(3/5), mango lassi(5/5). The staff is very friendly and often it’s crowded on the weekends. It’s a good place to have food in Croydon.

The food was worth the price. Tasty and delicious food.

It's the waiting time that absolutely killed me. 1 hr and 5 minutes to get the food that I ordered. I think they could do with more staff, the staff were running around, with no rest. The food taste is about average, but really you can't spend 1 hour especially when the ambience is not that great.

This food is so authentic - if you are craving excellent & delicious food you can only get at home, this is the place to eat! Super basic decor and the service is glacial so be prepared to wait but they are very friendly and accommodating, so remember patience is a virtue 🤷🏽‍♀️

Authentic indian food. Long waiting time means you will receive delicious food. We had kerala roast chicken and dal curry, prawns as starter and mutton biryani. All was delicious. We did ask for mild food as one of our party members could not tolerate the spices and they tried their best time accomodate the request. They also checked if we are happy with food and they also gave the recommendation what we may like to eat. Members of our party said that manglo lassi and masala chai were over 5 stars. You will not regret.

The food was good, nothing to complain about, however I had ordered parotta but instead they delivered appam, quite disappointed with the service.

The best food ever a hidden gem. I never get so tasty food anywhere else and full of flavour but at Kerala Croydon. Portion size is so big i always take home half 😊 can't finish it up. My favourite is anchovies and squid fries omg so very tasty. The waitress lady is very kind and helpful.

Hi just visits the restaurant at first time , I tried the food like pidiyum kozhiyum , beef fry , squid fry , kakka thoran , kappa fish curry all the food are good and nice . Expescially the pidiyum kozhiyum was so delicious and good everyone must visit the restaurant. Also the customer service was so good and awsome. I recommend the food pidiyum kozhiyum, kappa fish curry and puttu and beef fry.

We ordered kappa and fish curry and it was really nice. I preferred the tail part of the mackerel and they were happy to provide it. Definitely will visit more whenever I crave good kerala food.
