didn't taste like a pathia at all

Delivery was very fast, however what I ordered (garlic chilli chicken) was not good. It was like they had burnt the garlic and so the whole dish just tasted of burn and was not enjoyable to eat

Food is really tasty we have ordered vegetable and chicken biryani it was delicious but So Spicy despite we asked NOT spicy 🌶️ !!! dude !!! we are still burning and drinking plenty of water 🥵😅

A good time at this curry house. The food was really delicious, and the drinks were nice too. Price wise, it was okay. This place does lose a star for its helium smell - the dying and old Valentine’s Day balloons were going flat, and leaving out all the helium which actually made it quite hard to breathe. Luckily the food made up for this though!

Finally, a food delivery that feels totally worth the money! Excellent curries with depth of flavour. I’ll be ordering again.

We ate in as a four and it was absolutely gorgeous. I had a chicken puree and the puree was heavenly! I also had a side of sagg Paneer which was equally lovely. Go and eat in it’s totally worth it!

I have been Taste of India before, but tonight was special - tonight I brought my dad out for dinner like we used to many years ago trying a variety of Indian restaurants. The table was booked for 6pm via the app and we arrived 10minutes earlier, now we were greeted by two regular staff and was received warmly, professionally. Guided to our table, seated and asked for drinks. The restaurant is clean, precise but the only downfall is where the reception and till is situated running along to the kitchen, I feel could be blocked off by a rolling wall to give the staff their privacy. After careful consideration, we choose our appetiser Onion Bhaji x3 which is a really good amount for £4.95, then we ordered a lamb rogan josh which you need to order seperate rice and two plain naan, with my order of keema balti (which I asked if they could make, due to not being on the balti menu - no problem for the staff) also provided with the balti was rice and chapati. As you can see from the pictures, the onion bhaji was cooked to perfection - no raw onions and no clump build up, my father loved the little touch of salad and the wedge of lemon in a squeezer. So it was 10mins to receive the starter, which is freshly cooked and then about 20mins to receive the main - truth be told I have waited longer, so I was impressed with the time because all food is cooked fresh. When the mains arrived, it was enough time to be hungry again. The rice was fluffy, not stodgy and was not overcooked or microwaved, it was tasteful on its own. The Keema was incredible, not overwhelmed with onions but balanced with flavour versus the little kick it gives. Presented beautifully, and the food was so good I did not need to use my fork - thank the lord for chapati and naan. My father's lamb rogan josh was perfectly coloured and the lamb was a lovely pink in the middle, very well cooked and seasoned. It was so nice he managed to clear his plate, lol, I needed a doggy bag and throughout the meal the customer service was second to none. Attentive, polite, professional and smart appearance also extremely helpful. All in it cost £42.05, but I have to be honest I would of paid up to £60. It was a dad and daughter night, will be back again - also my father loved his food and he is extremely picky. So it can be expensive but that's life, what a food and taste experience in beautiful surroundings but I miss the pictures of the waterfalls with cascading water.

Came here with a friend after an evening out, the staff were lovely and so attentive and the food was great. Will definitely be coming back again.

Always had a great experience with Taste of India, Beautiful food, exceptional service and always great with the quality of food.

As a family we regularly ordered from here 20+ years ago but we grew up and moved on. Now back in Notts I’ve tried it 3 or 4 times in the last few years. Unless you want a largely bland and heavily sweetened sauce do not buy from here. The chicken itself is decent. With a few tweaks they could be infinitely better.

First time ordering from here and it was very nice. Fresh ingredients, all cooked perfectly and delivered on time.

Changed from pancake to puree in the hot meat, prefered pancake but hot meat was lovely as always, chips weren't much good very dry and hard but tandoori was fab as was the shaslick

Tasty and plenty of vegetarian

A proper curry house. By that, I mean the food is the important thing. I don't need uber fancy decor that some contemporary Indian restaurants seem to go for. The decor is nice, staff helpful and knowledgeable. Fair prices for such great food. Portion size is great too.

Been coming here for about 20 years and it’s changed considerably. Ask what gin they had and they bought me a drinks menu, asked for flavoured gins , they didn’t have any, then told me they only have one gin, so, no need for the drinks menu then ! Asked for jug of water .. it never turned up and the salad, was brown and dry. Some food was lovely but for what you pay it should all be delicious.

Food was okay, butter chicken was not at all what I expected, not sure if I received the wrong curry but it wasn’t creamy at all so a bit disappointing. Onion bajhi and naan also quite soggy and poppadum was burnt. Don’t know if I would order again…

Tried the Chicken Biryani with great hope, but the biryani tastes like a mix of Dal (chana)rice & Chicken... Highly dissatisfied. Didn't understand the recipe of adding chana in Biryani.

The food is always great, and the service is top tier, but the food tonight was more amazing than normal - particularly the chicken pakoras.

We are regular visitors to kabir's restaurant-sometimes as 3 and other times up to 13 persons. Never had a bad meal. Always tasty and served at the table at the right temperature. Some of our group can be fussy eaters but at the TASTE OF INDIA never any complaints. The prices are very acceptable too. The head waiter is a joy to have him serve you.

First time I have tried the Balti deal and it's a bargain for excellent food. Thanks for the samosas too!

Nice welcome, friendly staff, very tasty food. Modern café style decor. First visit but won't be the last. My chana puree starter was especially delish. The ambience could be improved with softer lighting & turning down the mega-volume on the takeaway order phone. A bit of a shame that the food is wheeled from the kitchen to the restaurant past the loos.

Arrived late and was not very warm

Superb shashlik. I have to say that the sauce on the unusually deconstructed prawn puree was rather bland, which surprised me. However the quality was as excellent as always. Still the best in Nottingham.

Vindaloo curry and cheese garlic naans are pretty good but the quality is not consistent which I observed over multiple visits. The service part can improve too.

Cold,soggy bhargis and hard rice

We have used Taste of India regularly for delivery orders and enjoy the food. However, what always lets it down for us, and increasingly so, is the wait. Our latest meal (not a large order) took 1hr 15 to arrive and the delivery driver couldn't have cared less. No apology. We'll be going to a more reliable restaurant for our curries from now on.

Not worth money and had MSG in food.

Foods quite overpriced compared to other Indian takeaways but I went for it with it having good reviews regarding the food but noticed people had complained about the length of time they’ve had to wait and they are not wrong!!! Bear in mind the delivery slot was already a hour long wait… so 1 hour and 20 minutes I waited for my food. Let’s just say don’t order if you are really hungry. Nothing bad to say about the food 🥘 but nothing extraordinary to be waiting hours on. Sorry .

We use these alot but we just ordered as usual comes to £38 but on the web its £10 cheaper but when phone them ask why they say its out of date menu even tho its on there site then they put phone down on u proper custumer service last time using them after 5 years

Absolutely vile! Couldn't even eat it, curry went straight in the bin, chips stale tasting like old cooking oil, rice not one bit of flavour. Everything had the same weird taste.

I've been a lonnng time customer (20YRS), but this restaurant is now dead to me. I was in the QMC, sent a friend to pick up our food- as I was hospitalised and they made him WAIT OUTSIDE for 25min in -2°c AFTER TAKING HIS MONEY!!!!! The restaurant was dead, the reception seats were empty, he was tidily presented- oh yeah AND He HAD ALREADY PAID !!! They can get f%#&*☆ from now on. And by the way, Pasanda is now a guaranteed toilet bomb within 5min of eating- no idea what's behind that, but its the same experience of eating it from there twice in the last 3mths.

Attended tonight for a meal on my brothers birthday as we always do but tonight the service was terrible!!! Brother opened his presents which was 2 bottles of alcohol and placed them on the table with his card unopened waiter came over and said u cannot drink your own drink bottles was unopened!!!! Which we told and shown the waiter… once some of us had finished starters waiter came over leaning over people still eating collecting plates! After meals had been finished they then brought out the birthday cake plonked it on the table and then decided to light candles! We then recieved the bill and within 10seconds they was at the table with card machine to where I told them can you give us a minute! Never have we recieved such terrible and rude service here safe to say we shall not be returning again! The place wasn’t even busy had one other couple absolutely shocking

Absolutely delicious. Best Indian takeaway I’ve had in terms of tastiness and quality. Only thing is it was a little bit on the cold side but early delivery and great food!

I usually have medium to hot curries, but we were eating with friends, so I ordered 3 mild curries, some starters and some bread. All were really tasty and everything was nicely cooked. As always, there was a friendly welcome from the staff.

This restaurant DOES NOT allow for takeaway orders. They need to update their own website to reflect this. When I called and asked to place an order, the man said they don’t do takeaway and hung up.

The curry was really good but there was an artery or something in my keema which kinda put me off. Kept eating though so that says something! But yeah I think I'll stick to chicken or paneer next time...

Good food, friendly staff. Asking for a table for one, leaves me next to the toilet while there were plenty of open, more attractive tables available. So service can do better.

Best Indian in my opinon. Never had bad one. Chicken tikka masala, mushroom rice, garlic and coriander naan.
