When it reopened (Bollywood Spice closed down) it was very good, staff excellent, but the food has not been as good over the last few months, hope it gets back to its former quality.

Despite the work going on to convert a section the place in to a motel, you'd never know from the inside. We've been three times now and every time it's better. Yes, the outside and car park still looks like a work in progress, but the staff are polite, low profile and the food is gorgeous. Fish curries and tikka dishes as well as vegetarian and meat options. Prices reasonable and portion sizes just right. We are local and stopped going to the place (Called the Bollywood Spice) under the old owners. The new owners have nailed the menu and service, they just need to tidy up the outside and I'll upgrade the review to excellent.

called in at Taste of Goa last night thinking that a change of menu would be a nice option based on the heat of the day and be able to sit in a nice cool environmnent . what a surpise that turned out to be . the front PVC door was removed and glass leaning up against the entrance lobby wall. paint and plaster marks all over the place , external window fitted into the suposed function room wall (its actually a hpousehold window fitted landcape and looks dreadful. the bars filthy , the door to the kitchen is not painted and that was fitted months ago ,the finish is all grotty and oily finger prints all over . the outside carpark looks like a car lot again with cars dumped here and there , left over or crap buyildng materials all over the place . lamainated signage guiding you to the accident waiting to happen front doors . weeds everywhere and dont even attempt walk around the side to look at the way nto the kitchen through the broken window. no front of house staff whne we wlakde in , 4 peiople sat in 1 corner and 4 people follwed us in . some random fella on his mobile stuck his hyead out and said oh sit where you like the waiter has had to go off somehwere and will be back , our card machine is broken !!!!! a lady oirderd a takeaway and couldnt pay for it so off she went and offered to ring back once the waiter was back . we sat there for 10 mins as did the other 4 then all of us walked out and ended up in the INDIAN OCEAN IN HISTON ( VERY NICE FOOD BY THE WAY ) AND THE AIR CON WORKED AS THE DOORS WERE SHUT. we had issue whenb it was Bollywood and these guys made a good start but we wont be back not until at least we know that the building works, decor and hygene have been sorted

I have visited here twice since it has been taken over and on both occasions the meal has been faultless. All of the interior has been changed to give it a clean fresh look. The service is excellent, everyone is so friendly. The food is very good. Cannot recommend enough.

We tried our first takeaway last night and my partner and I were both really pleased with the quality, taste and quantity of the food. Full of flavour but without the extreme heat that some curry houses assume everyone wants these days. My partner had the Jalfrezi and I had the Rogan with naan, saag aloo and pilau rice. So glad it came in foil containers rather than plastic ones too! Highly recommend.

Bought my first take away from Taste of Goa on Tuesday night, ordering was quick easy and ready in 25 mins. There’s plenty of parking, staff are super friendly and offered me a free ½ pint whilst I waited for my food to come out of the kitchen. I was bowled over by how friendly and polite the staff where. The food smelt amazing upon collection and when I opened the cartons I was pleasantly surprised. The mixed grill was very tasty as was the Lamb Phal, pilau rice and pheswari nan. Taste, quality and portions were all great. The food is very impressive and (in my opinion) on a par with Prana in central Cambridge, I would definitely go again, prices are reasonable similar to most curry houses.

Four adults and two children had a very good meal in the restaurant. The food was tasty and plentiful, the service friendly, attentive and helpful. The room early on a Thursday evening was very quiet but hopefully this will improve as its reputation grows. I didn’t pay but my son who did said it compared favourably with local curry houses. Give it a try!

If you have seen poor reviews for Taste of Goa, don't take any notice of them, just goa nd have a nice meal out. (see what I did there?!) The food was well up to scratch, portions just right, prices pretty fair, the staff very pleasant, courteous and efficient. Our bill for 2 with 4 poppadoms, 2 curries, lime rice, naan, saag bhaji, 3 pints of Kingfisher & 2 glasses Pinot Grigio was just under £50 which we felt was pretty fair, bearing in mind a good half of that was booze. We decided on the spur of the moment to eat out on Thursday evening. We had seen some poor reviews of TOG after the restaurant recently re-opened from its previous guise as Bollywood Spice which had put us off trying it. But, having seen some better, more recent reviews, we decided to give it a go. It was very early evening (18:00) and we were the first customers in plus the sunlight was pouring in, so the ambiance wasn't possibly the best. That said, while we were there, plenty of customers came in and the place was buzzing by the time we left at 19:30. The food certainly didn't disappoint. Possibly the only criticism would be a lack of ambiance - slightly austere - could do with some softer furnishings etc. The office-like vertical blinds don't help in this department. We also felt the entrance wasn't very enticing. But it's great to have our local Indian back on the map. They will also deliver locally free for orders over £20. Bravo - we'll definitely be back soon.

my husband and I ate at Taste of Goa on Good Friday 19. The food was very good, excellent Aloo Gobi and Salmon Tikka. The service is friendly but not intrusive and the complimentary drink at the end of the meal was a really nice touch. Having recently moved in to Waterbeach, we will eat there again.

After reading many mixed reviews on local Facebook forums I was reluctant to break the habit of using my preferred local Indian takeaway. My wife and I decided to finally give the Taste of Goa a chance. Ordered takeaway over the phone and it was ready on time. We had chosen our normal favourites, a chicken jalfrezi and dupiaza with a selection of rice and naans. We only live a few minutes drive away and the food was still hot. Both dishes were very tasty with generous chicken portions but both perhaps could have had a bit more gravy. No complaints though and now our no1 choice for Indian takeaway around the local area if it remains the same. Haven't tried eating in the restaurant yet though.

Opened recently with new staff/owners(?) and a new menu. Group of six for an evening meal. Very mixed orders, beef, chicken, prawn curries, various starters and sides. No complaints from anyone. The service was excellent and suggestions on sides and amounts greatly appreciated. Yes there...
