This place is advertising it is a 4 star hygiene rating. This was inspected on March 24 and given a 1 star. This is unacceptable and misleading,

The curry was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. Good size portions and made my take away order quickly.

Been to many different indian places and the currys here are top quality.. What ever curry you get and with what ever meat, it doesnt matter, you will be getting a quality dish.. the sides -naan, bombay potatoes, rice etc etc...Spot on... staff are really friendly and you sense that they want you to enjoy the food they make... I don't normally leave reviews but this place deserves it.. I've dined in and used as a takeaway in the past, perfect either way

Ordered online food arrived 30 minutes late. All cold Pashwari nann fell to pieces leaving coconut all in the bag it arrived in No salad with starter At least they sent onions for garnish Possibly the only thing that was edible

Ordered a takeaway last night.we where told it would take an hour.2 hours later after numerous phone calls the food arrived.all the food cold onion Baji shop bought.nann bread burnt.chicken pakoras very salty.main meal stone cold as if its been sat there for ages.i live 5 min from this curry house I would advise anyone thinking of having a a curry from hear to go somewhere else

Order popadums, Sheek kebab, lamb Karahi and keema Nan. Popadums we’re great sheek kebab ok, lamb Karahi was so spicy, couldn’t eat it and keema Nan was missing. Overall a poor showing. Won’t be going back

Amazing tasty food. North Indian garlic curry is to die for. Gazi the manager is so welcoming. Never rush you, you can just take your time. Prices are so reasonable too.

It wasn't very busy only me and my partner and one other couple in at the time so wasn't really an Atmosphere. But the food is amazing the service is fast, friendly and welcoming. The place could do with some TLC but what it lacks in looks it makes you for in taste and lovely staff

Food quality is OK. Portions are small. I got a chilli massala cos I like the mix of sweet an spicy an ya cant really go wrong so its my go to order. It was almost inedible. Was the color of massala but tasted of nothing but green chilli. After couple mouthfuls the burn set in and it couldnt be eaten. Partners rogan josh was bland, seems to be the same red wet that mine was in but without the same amount of chillis. I say wet because sauce has flavour so it was not sauce. Chips seemed double fried. Naan was small and i think bought in. If ya wanna flex to the boys bout how spicy you like it, go here. If you're actually hungry, dont.

Live in Salford and tried a Indian we haven't used before 4 star hygiene rated. Ordered chicken madras and masala. Food was delivered in great time and care had been taken during delivery. The Food. WOW ABSOLUTELY AMAZING enjoyed every mouthful, would definitely recommend ordering your food from here. Definitely will use again. Thanks to all .

Absolutely Delicious !! We ordered a chicken and lamb tikka shaslick with madras sauce, which we both throughly enjoyed, will definitely be getting a take away from here again.

Just had a chicken shaslick, the chicken was dry, the onions and pepper, s were burnt, the madras sauce was red and just tasted off chilli, madras should be brown in colour, with a true shaslick it should be served with rice, salad with lemon and the sauce off your choice, wish i had just gone for a pizza

Ordered many times and each time took longer for arrival takes between 90 mins a 3 hours, never get compensation even when they don’t bring all the food, dreadful

Disgraceful. Order over 2 hours ago. Was told 1 hour. Called 1 hour and 10 mis after. Was told it will be sent in 5 mins. 40 mins later, called again to be told it's still not sent, and it will be 15-20 mins. Annoying isn't the word.

Went here with my friends and i loved it the currys were delicious we odered chicken dupiaza, chicken madras and the butter chicken we were all very happy with the food there chicken pakora is delicious too 😋 the price is very reasonable too with 3 of us with a starter each, poppadoms and currys and rice plus 3 beers it was just over £40 for all of us can't beat that, service was excellent they were very attentive to us just can't complain overall i will definitely go back there

Worst curry ever had curry was very salty, watery and they forgot my second rice I ordered I am never going back to this place ever again

I moved into Patricroft in August and have tried a couple of takeaways/restaurants. I am dubious when ordering from a new place, but had no need to be this time. I had a Tandoori mixed grill and it was fantastic. Flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be ordering again from here. Keep up your excellent work!

Excellent meal tonight at Taste of East. Tried this gem of a restaurant twice over the course of a week and both times we’ve left happy! Starters and mains were excellent and extremely tasty and one of the best curries we’ve eaten in ages. Will return again.. 👍🏼

Ordered on just eat and never turned up. Never got canceled or anything just simply never came. Tried to ring and never answered.

I don't even know where to start with this review. We ordered a delivery, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive. We were missing our onion and mango which we ordered. We opened the pilau rice tubs and they were half full. We sat down to eat the food and it was freezing, literally freezing so we all had to put our food in the microwave. We live 2 minutes drive away from the takeaway. The delivery driver returned with mango and onion, we ordered 2 of each, we only received 1 mango. Then to make it worse the mango pot wasn't even half full. Not only did they get the order incorrect first time round, even when they returned it was still wrong. They offer us half price for next time, we won't even be taking that up as they can't even send full servings.

Food was gorgeous and really friendly guy, was very quiet but had a great time. Would thoroughly recommend. Couldn’t fault

Taste of east is the best of its kind. We found them on just eat and got addicted, so thought we would come in to meet the people behind the delicious food. The mushroom puri is amazing and the menu is really unique, we have tried some amazing new stuff. We will be back 😁

I ordered for delivery, and the food arrived very quickly and still piping hot. The curries, in particular, the garlic and chilli chicken were fantastic with real complexity of flavour. The pilau rice was fluffy and beautiful.

We popped in here last night around 6pm having had a tough day moving house ! What a treat ,and a total surprise! We live in Manchester centre ,and this whoops some of the finest dining in the city into a cocked hat ! We were served by Gaz,who was fabulous,we had the mixed grill to start with followed by lamb Methi ,chilli chicken a Tarka Dahl with deeeelicious home made garlic Nan bread washed down with a cheeky bottle of red ! You all must try this restaurant it is smashing value and is lovely fresh food 5 stars to the chef !5 stars to Gaz! We’re going again soon Thank you

It was empty so I felt comfortable with just 2 friends, not a reflection of the quality of the food but they must be struggling for customers now the lockdown has been eased on such places. A lot of peoplehave got used to staying at home. That said the food was excellent and so was the service

Great value for money with tasty food and great service from the staff. Only thing that I could suggest to improve is cooking the naan bread for longer as they tend to be a bit underdone.

The owner are burglars stealing from paying tenants upstairs, by forcing someone to be homeless, should be in jail shame on you, avoid if you would like to know how they store food, onion bargies in back yard with the flies disgusting

Taste of East Well my husband and I took my family there over the weekend . Such great food everybody did comment on how tasty the food was . And great service very friendly place to eat and chat with family would recommend it to anyone who wants a great Indian meal. I did read other reviews and most said the same great taste . And some hasn't eaten a good idian before but not every likes the same thing

really tasty,affordable food,with a very kind staff,and with many different kind of food on the Menu aswell,food is freshly made with fresh ingresients,so brilliant food,brilliant staff,so this is what you need:(

Small portion size for cost. Pakora was refried and burnt. Rice was claggy.

Never been before. Only two people in the restaurant at first. Lots and lots of takeaway orders which took priority over serving us. Food was good when it arrived. I wouldn’t however ever go back again the floors and skirting boards were absolutely filthy, we persevered but the other diners that arrived were constantly swearing and really just came across as quite intimidating. This was only 7pm. Nice staff but not enough to get us back.

I have been going to this restaurant for years because it is the best local curry house on my doorstep. The price, the service and the food are great.

I always go hear for a curry! Always friendly delivery man and the food is always excellent. always can never wait for my next taste of taste of the east!!!

Fantastic takeaway we really enjoyed both meals ordered

We all really enjoyed our first visit to Taste of East, the food was great and being Sunday we the special offer applied meaning good value for money. There are the usual staples on the menu, which most of our diners went for, but if you fancy a change there are a good range of chef's specials to choose from and a couple of us picked from those. None of us were disappointed as the food was delicious. The bill for six of us each having poppadoms and sauces, starters, mains with rice and nan breads, and a couple of rounds of drinks came to £105, so really good value.The interior is a little dated and on the night we visited the service was a bit slow, but the waiter did apologize for this explaining that the were a chef down and that they had been inundated with on-line/telephone orders. Neither of these issues will put us of returning to Taste of East to sit in and eat or for a take away.

Myself and my husband ordered our usual meals and they were delivered within the time allocated. We had that much food that we had enough for the next evening and it only cost £20! We ordered 2 Samosas which came with 2 separate dips, 1 naan bread, 2 pilau rice, 1 chicken madras, 1 balti exotica (and I always ask for lamb only and believe me, I get quite a bit of lamb and the price doesn't change and thrown in were 2 free onion bhajis. I can't rate this restaurant more highly - give it a try. Free delivery too!

Sunday, From 5:00pm Poppadoms with mango chutney and onions, any starter, any main meal with pilau rice or naan, £9.95 per person, well worth it, i had 2 poppadoms, tandoori mixed starter and lamb byriani, all very nice would recommend to anybody..

Food was on Time and the delivery driver was really nice which is half the battle these days they are either late or miserable these where neither. The prices are cheap curry starter and a rice 10 pound it will cost me that to make it, In terms of the curry honest opinion it was missing a few things a Karahi is a medium dish peppers onion caspium etc it didn’t have any peppers in it in fact it has a piece the size of your thumb nail it was mild these should be cooked with a full green chilli in the pan as it is a medium dish, it had quiet a few spices missing more of a onion masala 50/50 wether I would go again felt like it was a rushed curry or they didn’t have all the correct ingredients for it, I’d upload a picture but it will not let me rice was pritty standard rice is rice isn’t it at the end of the day, quiet clumpy this is where it has been stired while simmering or its been over cooked - I was expecting more from the curry if I’m honest considering I could of made a better effort myself and I’m not Asian or have the experience day in day out making these for a living, this has not been put in a malicious way I hope all small local business do well it may have just been a one off on the first time I have ever ordered hear as it’s pictures and reviews look decent

Tried here last night for the first timeWe ordered 2 popadoms each and the pickle tray, this was nice and tasty crisp popadoms, we then had prawn tikka, vegetable pakora and o onion bahji again lovely no issues, for mains we had king prawn curry, chicken tikka, 2 chips, 2 plain naan and pilau rice the food was like warm apart for the chips but tasty hence the review score, we had 2 cobra beers and 2 cans of boddingtons and the total bill came to around £56 so not a bad price, it was a shame the place could be really busy on a Friday if they had small entertainment and meal deals on say £25 each for 2 courses and a singer the place would make money on drinks and also pay the act however nice little gem of a place just need to heat the food up more

We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed with our meal choice. Good selection of Indian food and reasonably priced. Drinks a bit pricey but that's the same as most restaurants. Sunday buffet well worth £9.99 a head.

Across our 4 meals, 1 was good 2 were average and 1 was bad, so a bit hit and miss there. There was also a bad smell in a couple of the glasses when we ordered the draught lager. The restaurant itself needs a bit of work. There was dirty marks on the walls where pictures had been taken down, damp in the corner by our table and a lot of the bulbs in the ceiling needed replacing. Apparently the ladies toilet was quite unsavoury too.The wait time for the mains was a bit slow, but they all turned up together which is important. The 2 waiters seemed to have things under control, being that there were only 3 tables including ourselves.Following that, things went a bit downhill. Our waiter disappeared and we were left waiting quite a while without drinks. We eventually got the attention of the other waiter and when we ordered more, they also took a long time to turn up.We asked for the bill when the other waiter came to clear our plates, but it never showed up. Eventually our original waiter appeared and we asked him for the bill. It took around 20 minutes to get that bill and when we explained this to our original waiter, he explained that he had to nip out to do some deliveries and apologised.In my opinion, if there is a shortfall in service, some kind of goodwill gesture should be offered in addition to the apology. But there was no such gesture. He told us that he would make sure it doesn't happen again, but I don't think we'll be going back.All in all, a bad experience. Average food and poor service in neglected surroundings.My advice - order a takeaway from them, it'll probably turn up sooner.

Great place great food and great service

Excellent service and food, would highly recommend. The only thing we didnt like much was the free mint sauce, but everything else was perfect.

Food was very good, quick to arrive and was very tastey. Good menu and reasonably price. Great service and friendly staff.

Taste of East "AKA Sharmin" should choose between a restaurant or Takaway service... Should have stayed at home and got a delivery instead.... Poor service , heating and toilets need sorting with no running hot water... Poor

Had meal in restaurant with my family and everyone had a great time. The food was as good as anything I ve had in more expensive Indian restaurants in Manchester and beyond. Staff and service were excellent. I d recommend to people to try this place. Thanks Taste of East, will definitely be back !!!!

Good food, good service and not too expensive.went 17/11/18 early-ish and not to full and had a nice meal.

We usually have a takeaway from here, however we decided we'd go in to have a meal. I'd never ever seen the restaurant but as soon as we were in, we were met so warmly and made to feel really welcome. The quality and taste of the food was superb. The restaurant is cosy and very clean, the staff were so attentive nothing too much trouble. Their takeaways are exactly the same standard as the food in the restaurant, yummy. If you get the chance, please pay them a visit, you will have a wonderful time and a delicious meal. Thoroughly recommend. Definitely going back.

A hidden gem, great food, great service great staff. The choice of food ticks all the boxes, no fuss they will do everthing possible to make sure your meal is perfect. Why go into Manchester??

Staying over night as Lorry driver in Eccles this was my first time at Taste of the East. And my goodness you people of Eccles are so Lucky to have this restaurant. The curry was brilliant you could taste every ingredient in it the chicken was cooked to perfection as was the rice .the naan bread was what I call teardrop shape and again it was first class. With a pint of cobra the meal cost £16 ish real value for money if I'm ever in the area again I will Deff call again .....well done staff.

Moved into Eccles about a year ago and have been struggling to find a decent Indian. Tested Taste of East tonight and I think that is the one for me. Starters were really well cooked and mains were awesome too, plenty of meat and tasty sauces.

Not had a curry from here for a while ...omg had chicken north Indian garlic curry with pilau rice and a garlic chapati... Truly can recommend it...so tasty ...amazing Delivery was fast...food was hot Excellent service Bev from Eccles

Food was delicious. Only thing I can say was the interior needed some TLC, maybe a lick of paint, apart from that it was a good experience.
