Bengal Balti in Salford

I went there with my Indian girlfriend.If she cooks me like this I will marry her.

This place is too lazy to deliver to somewhere 2 miles away, because the driver ‘doesn't like driving’, and they will only tell you this 90 minutes after the order was accepted - lazy and unprofessional service.

Very good food, all of us enjoyed it. Very keen waiter. Could work on the music as there were adverts in between but apart from that very good value for money.

I was lured by £16 deal, it seemed like a steal and 4.4 rating on Google is very decent. Sadly, it was on of the worst curries I've eaten out and if I paid the regular price it would have been 1*. Pappadoms weren't freshly prepared, hence not crispy. Dips were overly sweet and barely any sauce on onions. King prawn puri was the only okay thing, though way too much sauce and trace amount of prawn. Restaurant's special - spicy lamb curry wasn't spicy at all, meat was dry and most likely microwaved. Nobody asked me about coffee that was included in the deal. If you have ever been to any quality curry house you will have food in this venue. It probably only makes sense to come here if you're already drunk and want to take advantage of BYOB scheme.

We ordered Bengal Balti last night as our usual takeaway is closed at the moment plus it was a recommendation from my Sister (Shauna 😁) who goes here often and loves it! We ordered the Chicken Balti with Pilau Rice, Chips, Naan Bread, Poppadoms with Onions and Mango Chutney and it did not dissapoint. The Chicken Balti was full of flavour and delicious! Food arrived in a timely manner and it was hot! Could not fault at all. Thank You!

Came across this place as our usual curry house was closed.Wow the food was delicious, garlic chilli chicken for myself and South Indian Garlic for the wife, can't fault either currys! Would definitely recommend. This is definitely our new go to place when we fancy a curry!

Wife wanted Bengali food an came across this little hidden gem. Honestly food was immense an my wife is a Bengali food lover an she loved it. Highly recommend this place come try it out it's not the buji place you find in Manchester but the food is amazing. Arguably one of the best meals I ever had. The naan was so fresh and smelled like heaven. I ordered the garlic chilli chicken by the recommendation of the staff and it was full of flavours, fresh and perfectly cooked. Definitely will go there again

Excellent food, this is my favourite Indian, the food is always so tasty and the tandoori Mix grill is the best I've ever had, and the poppadoms are so good always warm and crispy. I recommend this place and I'm always wanting to order more food from here

Order from here most weekends an they lie to loyal customers saying its going to be 45 mins on a Wednesday nite I'm still currently waiting over an hour an half

I've ordered from this place a few times and the delivery drivers are always nice and friendly, the food always gets here in a timely fashion (only took around 20 mins this time) and it always tastes great. They have the best naan bread I've had since moving to Salford!

We stumbled across a precious little gem in Salford, Manchester. Authentic Bengalese flavours, friendly service and well-priced. I'll definitely go back when in Manchester again.

Access is poor as there is no level entrance. The music was too loud for a restaurant but the waiter did turn it down wgen asked. The food was excellent, the best onion bhajis and great food all round. I will definitely return.

Ordered mixed vegetable curry for take out. The quality was just poor you could tell it is just tinned tomatoes sauce and chopped frozen vegetables, and they smelled stale. Additionally, the restaurant did not show any courtesy by apologizing for this issue when you reported it to them. Had to just chuck this in the bin. Overall, I would not recommend this dish or restaurant.

Chicken was not cooked properly, poppadom was not crispy. Bad experience. They need to improve.

Great night four of us ate for less than 80 quid poppadoms and a main meal and a naan bread didn't cost us anything for drinks as we took our own. Food was lovely no a bite was waisted and staff could do enough for us we all had a good laugh well enjoyed it. Thanks

For the last five years I have been dinning in or ordering take aways a good small operation with first rate food, there not licences to sell alcohol but local supermarket just two minutes walk next door

We had our meal delivered this evening, Gill the driver is allways so polite and respectful he is a great ambassador for the team at bengal balti.

Rang up an hour and 15 after ordering, and was told my order was cancelled because it was too busy and too far away. No message or phone call to say. Why take my order when you know my postcode and the distance? Shambles.

We get a takeaway from Bengal Balti almost every weekend. The food is fantastic, and always good portion size. The Asian kebabs are amazing, the spices they use are proper nice. Also a great delivery service, always around 30 mins which is good. Was good to meet Gill who was our delivery driver last night. Food always hot and on time, thanks again Gill

Its awesome when it comes to taste.. For spicy lover you must explicitly tell them to make it "Super Spicy" ... I personally liked Garlic Chilly Chicken.. Best part is the naan , it has special flavour and which is my personal favourite...! Can be given a shot if you are going to try something new......!

Ordered the chicken tikka Balti, when it arrived it tasted like Gravy, called up to let them know I’d had it from them before and it didn’t taste right, and instead of offering to fix it just said ‘you can’t compare to previous times, we have different staff, this is what all Baltis taste like’ and hung up on me when I tried to respond The only thing they’ve not messed up is the poppadoms and the tikka Masala. The naan breads are doughy and undercooked, but also somehow burnt? The rogan Josh has clumps of unmixed coriander and the mango chutney is very literally, juice. Rude staff, bad food, 50 quid down the drain.

Food was very good. I found it to be very little value for money. Portions very small and they charge huge amounts for small portions. Its like they trying to save costs while increasing profits by saving on ingredients. I would never go there again.

My partner and I had poppadoms, two starters and two main meals and all for £30. I had the garlic chilli chicken. It was the simply, tastiest curry I’ve ever had. Great food, great staff, great value!

The lamb Madras was poor just tasted like tomatoo purée not spicy or flavoursome. The Bombay balti was lovely and the naan was very good. The biggest problem was that they forgot to put the rice in the bag when I collected and I didn't discover this until I got home. They were apologetic and polite when I called and offered to give me something free next time but nevertheless it still kinda ruined out meal.

delicious ate the lot. No need to charge 10p for extra bag use either brown paper or plastic. Not both. Could of offered free popadums.

Been using the delivery service for quite a while and it's always reliable and on time. Delivery man Gill is excellent. The food is always excellent too, we tend to have madras and shashlik meals and they're always superb. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Ordered a vindaloo and it tasted like honey, all the Curries and rice didn't have salt and not alot of flavours you would expect from an indian restaurant. The vindaloo was spicy but had a honey taste to it. The only thing good was the poppadoms.

Very tasty Indian food! I ordered a couple of vegetarian sides in place of a main (chana masala and sag paneer), although I was happy to see the option to have either as a main if desired, as my experience has been that few places offer this on the menu. Peshwari naan and mushroom rice were really substantial for the price, and were absolutely delicious. I would definitely order again. Lastly, when we went to collect our order, the staff were exceptionally polite.

I have had numerous take away curries from here with rice and sundries and all have been good. I have also had the Asian kebab and the mixed kebab which are both well loaded with meat and good value. Well recommended Will definitely use again. Never waited more than half hour for delivery so that's fine with me. Great food and good value.

Disgusting . I left review on just eat but my comments removed! Chips stale . Every piece of beef in the curry full of fat . Knocked me sick and went in the bin .

They used to be amazing and always delivery in 30min but last 3 orders had to chase our order after nearly an hour! last 3 orders they have missed items like salad, mint yogurt, no chippy chips, smaller portions and the quality keeps getting worse and worse so we won't be ordering again :( very sad

Very clean friendly lovely food

Ordered a chicken tikka masala with rice & chips. Lamb chop starter - cost £17 with delivery and it was awful. Chips look like last nights left overs reheated. Lamb chops were dry and chicken is that cheap processed stuff. We have just binned it all as none of us could eat it and now I’m having to make us all tea. Really disappointed.

We've been here twice recently (once to sit in the restaurant 2 weeks ago and last night for a takeaway). On both occasions the food was really good (chicken madras and bombay balti). Great selection on the menu to choose from. Great service from staff, helpful and friendly.

Service isn't the quickest but the food is lovely really great strong authentic Indian food and the service is great just not the quickest but sometimes that's the best way to get the nicest food

I went there for the first time today. I ordered a Tandoori Mixed Grill and it was good. The problem is that it is a very small portion compared to other restaurants. I honestly don't know what I paid £9 for. Probably won't be going back.

Thought I would try this takeaway tonight. Normally get our currys from tandoori cottage. I had a chicken vindaloo but sorry will never have another one.

Very nice curries, the service is on point. The manager bloke is sound. The portions are really appropriate for what you pay for. Can leave half of it in the fridge for leftovers. Tasty starters and nann breads. Been going there absolute ages. Since like early 2019.

Yesterday I Ordered chicken Balti was really disappointed how small the chicken pieces are the curry sauce was bland will not order again. My husband had sheek kebab starters which he enjoyed.
