My family have been using taste of bengal for 35 years+. Hard working family keeping consistency and reputation up. Tandoori butter chicken has been a family favourite over the decades and never fails to deliver. I really appreciate gems like this place & much respect for the reputation built over the years. Every item I've ordered is always delicious. Thanks guys!

Having never had anything from here before a friend visiting from Staffordshire recommended this place when they used to live here and have to admit it didn't disappoint. This was my second time ordering. First time was amazing so Ordered again as a treat for my in laws. Ordered one garlic naan and one cheesy garlic naan. Received 2plain naans and one cheesy naan none of them had any taste of garlic whatsoever. Naan wasnt even cooked properly, we could taste the dough. Kids were very upset they didnt even eat. The curries were okay but the tandoori deluxe was inedible. So £37 and all the foods went to waste as no one was able to eat it. Really disappointed.

Ordered a chicken korma and chicken tikka, the korma had no flavour at all and was completely inedible. The tikka was so oily it was also not edible. Phoned the restaurant straight away to complain and the person who answered was very rude and told me this is how a korma should taste... despite me telling them that it tasted like cream. Was told they'd come and get it and give me a refund, then called back to say they wouldn't do this and would have to go through the delivery service instead if I wanted my money back. We then went to a different takeaway instead as hadn't eaten and had a decent meal. I wouldn't waste your money on this place.

We've been using the ToB since it opened and uniquely at the time, ordered £500 of take away for my 40th birthday party 26 years ago. Absolutely super food. We believe we were responsible for the tandoori lamb pasanda as my wife asked for the lamb to be cooked in the tandoor and soon afterwards it appeared on the menu. Me, tandoori chicken masala, on the bone, madras heat. Just waiting for 17.30 so I can order a meal now.

Thought I'd ring the changes and try a new curry house. I was really looking forward to trying some of their specials which sounded different. Unfortunately I was left disappointed. I did feedback to the restaurant, not to complain but just to let them know. Positives: - Quick delivery - Rice was OK - Chicken in curry was OK Negatives: - Garlic naan bread was ridiculously salty. It was actually crunchy because there was so much salt in it! - Lamb was tough - Curries lacked flavour - Curries were greasy

I am picky about takeaways and especially the quality of chicken used. We have been having take-aways from this local favourite for many years and it is consistently excellent. We also love the biryani (prawn or veg or lamb) and proper crispy onion bhajis and Peshawari naan. Husband usually goes for one of the hotter choices, but we always have the dhansak as it’s just our favourite! Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent value.

I’ve never had such a disgusting, gut churning experience in my whole life. This was a take away in celebration of a birthday. It was a Monday. As you can see from the picture, this is obviously the lamb they failed to sell on the Friday or Saturday night. Next to that picture, is another photograph I found online that I feel resembles the lamb. I can’t explain the texture of the lamb... I don’t know what they did to it. It tasted of nothing and had the consistency of something between woollen string and card board meshed together, but tough as f**k at the same time. The lamb deserved the respect to be prepared and cooked properly. I wouldn’t have fed this meat to my dog. If you’re pondering Taste of Bengal and the reason is such that you find yourself on trip advisor to justify making your decision, I do not recommend wasting your money here but instead, invest your money in the delicious Indian cuisine at Shafique’s of Worthing. On a final note, I’ll never be eating from here again.

Mushroom bhaji, onion bhaji the size if tennis balls, spicy poppadum and chapatis delicious as well as the trusty onion salad and mango chutney. A good plentiful meal for 4 for £45. Tonight, I tried ‘The Taste of Bengal (Worthing)’ for the first time and I was not disappointed. The food and service was perfect. The poppadoms were great. The prawn puree was good, but lacked a bit of lemon to squeeze over it which has come as part of all other take aways I've had. The lamb dhansak had the right flavour but I just wish their meat was of a higher quality. I love Indian food and ordering from a different restaurant was a big step for me. I really wish I hadn't bothered. First of, rice isn't included in the dishes. This is forgivable given the prices but it's a nice touch that you get elsewhere. They also didn't provide complimentary Poppadoms like a lot of places. Again, not the end of the world but it seems a bit tight. Sadly this wasn't the end of the car crash of a meal. Before ordering I will always check the descriptions as I am a fairly fussy eater. So when I ordered a Chicken Pasanda I was most surprised to find chunks of what appeared to be tofu mixed in, I assume to pad the meal out. That really ruined what was already only an average meal for me. I also found it quite random that the Saag Ponier had green chillis in as I was under the impression that this was a mild dish, but I could be wrong. As far as I'm concerned they had made the dishes a bit too British and lost a lot of flavour in the process.Overall, I would rather pay a bit more for a meal that isn't going to make me want to vomit. Would not recommend.
