Tarla Cafe & Grill in Spelthorne

Had a fabulous lunch here with family. Chicken shish with bulgur rice salad and bread was delicious and big portion . Chicken was well seasoned and bulgur rice came out nice and hot, salad with olive oil and lemon juice was perfect . I will return to try breakfast

Not brilliant! Had a takeaway. Ordered online to collect at 1 o’clock. Arrived on time but in spite of receiving confirmation of order it hadn’t been received! Waited ages only to receive the bag minus one of the dishes! Had to compromise on salad as would have taken too long to wait further. Portions were very small and disappointing. Tasted good but we were disappointed not to have been offered a discount or something extra to make up for the issues!

I visited a few years ago and wasn’t impressed with my eggs Benedict. Today I really enjoyed my breakfast and coffee. Friendly service No long wait Comfortable seating It was very busy which is a great indication of the quality of the place.

Very Smart well ventilated friendly cafe. Great menu choices with British and Turkish options. Really friendly place with quality ingredients and polite professional staff. Sit inside or out under the canopy. The burger was beautiful..

Amazing place with great atmosphere, smiles all around and pleasant service, amazing food with such great variety - they don’t compromise on quality! I’m surprised they’re not packed to the brim full of customers, should definitely busier!

Awful service ! Waited 20 minutes for toast and chips for young children . We asked for the bill they left us waiting didn’t bother to tell us we had to go inside to pay . Staff were as miserable as the food !

Ordered an all day breakfast baguette & chips via Uber Eats. Had low expectations based from orders with other restaurants & the temperature of the food on arrival. Was delightedly surprised to find that was not the case today. Chips still hot & baguette was hot, delicious & generously filled. Toasting the baguette ensured it wasn’t soggy. Am looking forward to trying other items on the menu & ‘eating in’ once lockdown restrictions are lifted

Owner thinks he can treat people like dirt, and get away with it. One minute he talks to you, the next he doesn’t even acknowledge you. Very ignorant. However there are 2 members of staff there who are amazing, and very friendly and polite. Owner needs to take a leaf out of their book perhaps, and treat their customers with a bit more respect.

Food was too salty, when mentioned to the owner he proceeded to humiliate us by shouting at us and claiming that it was our problem not his.

Ordered 1/4 peri chicken with spicy rice, a side of halloumi and some peri peri sauce. It was delicious! It was a good portion size, and the sauce was so good and complimented the meal welll. My partner ordered an American burger with fries and he was impressed by the portion size. Would defo order from here again and highly recommend.

Ordered a chicken shish kebab with chilli and garlic sauce and it was divine! The chilli sauce was probably the hottest chilli sauce I’ve had on a kebab which made it even better! Keep up the good work guys!

First time customer, fantastic coffee, and my daughter said the Peri Peri Chicken was like a spicy hurricane, but in a good way!

Have visited on a dozen occasions now but only for breakfast. Good quality food in a nice environment although can feel warn and a bit stuffy when the place is over half full. Sometimes the staff are cheerful and pleasant, other times you don't get much of a hello - I guess everyone is entitled to an off day.

I took my mum out for lunch with my Two year old little girl. We very much enjoyed it and the service was very good, waitress took the time to talk to my daughter and made sure we had everything we needed. Reasonably priced food and drink. Good amount of options for lunch. Enjoyed it

We have been here a number of time, always greeted with a smile. The menu has plenty of choice from sandwiches and baguettes to Mexican quesadilla and all day breakfast. They look out for allergies, and will change things if you aren't keen on any items.

Excellent food and very good value. Wide choice on the menu. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Can stay for a long chat with friends as staff do not rush customers. Have been a few times and always enjoyed it

first order arrived on time and not too bade, second order took over an hour for some bacon and egg rolls and was very greasy

Ordered online on just eat for it to give me a hour and a half wait, didn't turn up and called 20+ times, my boyfriend went down to the cafe as there's was no other way of getting through, for them to say they cancelled all online orders and that they are not taking phone calls...I had no email and no phone call to inform me that my order was not arrivingI called just eat for them to say the order hasn't been cancelledOne of the staff asked for money for the food when it had already been paid for Just eat gave me a full refund and I would NOT! Recommend this cafe to anyone! Either cook it yourself or go somewhere else save yourself the hassle! I will be telling everyone to avoid this cafe it is poor!

I took my son here for a burger,as burgers go it was up there with best I’ve had.Very clean place and pleasant well presented staff,proper french fries as well,not them cardboard tasting starch sticks that don’t know if they are a French fry or chip shop chip! We will definitely go there again,the choice on the menu is ample,it’s not just a burger joint.

I went for breakfast and I have a thing for eggs benedict and will alway have it if it is available. On the whole it was OK but the amount of hollandaise sauce was very limited, it just about covered the yoke of the egg so I probably won’t be going back.

We have eaten in this restaurant a few times, always breakfast, and the food is always freshly cooked and tastes great. The menu has something for everyone and is varied . The restaurant is always clean, the staff are very friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. There is parking outside of the restaurant if you are lucky enough to get a space or if not there is a car park across the road. We would without hesitation go back to this restaurant and recommend it to everyone.

Tarla is always my go-to place for an amazing breakfast! Tasty food, friendly server and great prices!

Delicious food, attentive staff who are run off their feet but very helpful. Where the staff are run off their feet it can mean the tables don’t get cleared for a while but it doesn’t take away from the delicious food

I have walked past this place many times and thought it was just a plain old coffee shop. Sunday lunch, we decided as a family to go out and popped into this place. What a pleasant surprise. Firstly they have a fantastic menu and lots of choice. The burgers are freshly cooked and well presented. My son had a breakfast and it was huge. Excellent quality and good prices.

Located in central Ashford on Church Road is Tarla cafe and grill. They do a good menu but we come here for the burger and fries as they are yummy good. Prices are agreeable as well. Free parking is available opposite the cafe.

The burgers in here are absolutely amazing, the chips are fabulous, the service is awesome, you really have to try it to believe it. Go for it, give it a go

Been to the this cafe a few times since it first opened and the food and service used to be really great would of recommended it to anyone but when going today for a breakfast the lady couldn't get our order right, our food eventually came after a long wait. The food came out wrong and cold, tried to ask the lady to come over and she ignored us cause she had no organisation skills so I brought the food up and the man cooking and he wasent happy that I brought it up, said he'd sort it the food came and it was still cold, we both really couldn't be bothered to wait any longer and he tried charging us full price plus the extras we never received, so I went to explain to him and he said whatever I don't care

Visited here on a Saturday afternoon and we all ordered chicken burgers with chips which tasted amazing. Portions were of a good size and were of a decent price. Atmosphere is laid back and the staff work hard to provide a good service.

Out with friends so decided to pop in, the three of us were so pleased we did, we couldn't of chosen better. Fabulous service, sparking clean, awesome food and drink and all very reasonable

My work colleagues taken me to this café/restaurant for lunch since I started my new job and I visit now daily for either breakF or lunch . the waitin staff are so friendly and the menu though big ita lot of choice. The breakfast is so healthy and affordable as I usually only eat paoched eggs or the veggie breakF( I am a Veggie :) which is not greasy. Milkshakes in this hot weather are so nice also and the wraps I usually get at luch are filled good. Also the coffee and tea is ok in morning but affordable as I walk past few coffee shops but are toooo expensive

after recently moving to the area and working from home this place has so far gained my custom. The staff are friendly and friendly with my kids and the menu for kids is affordable and the food is quality and plenty. We usually have breakfast on a week end there and the portions are big and not like a greasy café that the town has plenty of. The milkshakes are my kids fav and mine also :)

Rang to make an order - was told by a very rude man on the phone that he was too busy to take phone order.

This has turned out to be my favourite place to eat. Great food and good prices. The ambiance is chilled and the place is very laid back. The staff are very friendly. I would recomend to anyone as it caters for all family members

This place is great. The food is amazing and brilliant. I'm always never disappointed. The owner is very friendly. The place also offers a wide range of food and quality at the highest. With super fast WIFI in store too.

I've ordered bfast with tarla 1hr 40 min ago via just eat. On the app it says that food has been delivered. Well it hasn't. Very rude man on the phone in the restaurant kept saying 'darling it left, darling it left' didn't quite get what he meant but I am guessing- is on its way to me. Can't say much about the food as I am still waiting for it and not sure if I'll get it. But the customer service is awful, no manners at all!! Avoid!!!

Food was good, burger was good 👍🏼chips and chicken nuggets were also good. Would order from here again in the future

Very quiet but lovely food. I will go again as it is so friendly and all staff talk to you in a lovely way.

We ordered a Mid-week takeaway and fancied a burger, desperate to avoid burger plus (THE worst establishment in Ashford) we tried Tarla for the 1st time.

We have eaten in here a couple of times now as a family. The food is excellent. The burgers are homemade and of restaurant standard and the chicken and chips rivals Nando's! Really recommend it for a nice casual lunch or dinner!

The quality of the food is excellent , not cheap not your usual cafe or kebab type food. Definitely recommend. Have eaten in and had a delivery, service and quality excellent.

Me and my partner thought we'd try it out since we got the menu through the door and it looked good.... after a long week we ordered the Mexican chicken fajitas, a bacon and cheese burger and some chilli cheese bites. One hour later the food arrived, minus the burger, and at the wrong price... considering the fajitas were £10.90 I was shocked to find just one measly wrap to eat, and as for the chilli cheese bites I don't know where the chilli was!! They said they'd bring the burger along in 10 minutes free of charge... now the menu states all burgers are served with chips, no chips in sight when it came!!! We were hungry so we ate it anyway. But oh my god, I'll never be ordering from there again!

Definitely best breakfast around village. Large portions and price really cool. Maybe coffee could improve but Costa is down the road for that

My boyfriend and I went here for breakfast for the first time, the menu had a good range we opted for the Vegetarian breakfast, considering the price (£4.50) we got less compared if we had the traditional, but also other places like Bella and cafe rouge you get more on your plate if you opted for the vegetarian option. It tasted good but I think they should add more items on to reflect the price like avocado for example. Just seemed a bit unfair that we pay more to get less items on the plate just because you want to eat vegetarian. However the service was good and the inside decor was lovely.We will return to to try out the dinner menu but I think we will go elsewhere for breakfast.
