Easily the worst ever place to order from. Awful service, awful people. Do not fall for there Uber eats scam, I waited for over an hour for my Delivery to come, and after that, it said the order has been cancelled upon enquiring with the restaurant. They began screaming at me and saying it’s your problem that the order was cancelled and all sorts of rubbish. Funny fact, I spoke to one of their own people, five minutes after placing an order, asking them to deliver it ASAP - and now they say we’ve cancelled your order because no partner was available. Terrible service, a bunch of morons running this place. They have no sense of customer service timings and decency. Do not order from them at all

Ordered mince meat which I thought it’s lamb minced meat but after I call restaurant they said it’s a mix of lamb and beef, which is not accepted as the Indian take away, and also before making a order or going to this restaurant see the portion for the below in pic they just fool you in quantity for not justifying for the money which you pay and if you call them even they don’t know how to speak properly If you people have any doubts see the below pics which others shared even it’s the same

All seven dishes ordered were thrown in the bin. Fell for the Uber 40% off and now have to go out for a second curry. The food is vile. Worst I have had in 30 years. The naan were drier than the Sahara, the chicken tasted dodgy, and the sag bhaji was a tomato puree with no spinach to be seen. Pictures before it went in the bin.

Orderd take away, took about 1 1/2 hours to arrive even though stated delivered half an hour prior. Missing items, contacted resturant and didn't believe me, they asked the chef who apparently definatly put items in the bag, no apology just kept saying its in the bag. Husband enjoyed the food. I had some stale poppadoms and I don't know what the lime pickle was, one lime and what I can tell inedible hard pieces of something... unfortunaly won't be ordering again

It's a super frustrating place, because the food is really good and they do really good deals, but I've had a few problems with them. Tried to order a set meal for 1 last night from their website and was told it would be a 45 minute wait, which is fine. 2 hours later and nothing, kept trying to call and the phone was just off the hook. Absolutely zero communication is pretty bad, especially in 2024. Never turned up. Luckily I had to select to pay with cash, so I haven't lost any money, but not the point!

Went in before a concert. Man in filthy apron seated us ( looked like it hadnt been cleaned for months). Onion bajh’s and chicken tikka started came out within 30 seconds which had us worried (0bviously microwaved). The Malaysian prawn biryani was tasteless and the prawns were like bullets. The naan bread was okayish but very floury. We were the first customers in there when they opened, but food/plates on tables from night before and food on the floor. Safe to say we won’t be going there again! It’s a shame because we used it a lot before lockdown but it’s gone downhill. We should have ran when we saw the filthy apron

Just ordered a take away. Took forever to get here then it was delivered by a rude individual who also happened to be the OWNER (rao maaz) having disabled children and not being able to come down. I explained this to him and still he told me it’s nothing to do with me I won’t come upstairs. 2 newborns too so I had my hands tied. Still he just threw my food on the floor and took his photo and left. Guess what matey your chicken quarters were black as night and tasteless and DRY. The meat in the curry were like stones hard and difficult to eat. Your naan took 2 people to pull apart. Your samosas weren’t even cooked. Your kebabs looked like they belong in my cat litter. Mate serve better food and throw out your microwave just as I did you food. Horrible owner and a thief and a provider of rock bottom tasteless and unbeatable food. Learn some customer service skills and be honest in business. Don’t rip people off. I’ll also be popping in for a chat one of the days cause I’ve never had this experience with any food establishment.

Ordered a takeaway from here due to having a couple of bad experiences from our local Indian takeaway recently. The prices were attractive as frankly many takeaways have now got greedy. Unfortunately, though, it took 1 hour 40 mins and 3 phone calls before food arrived, which was barely tepid. The poppadoms were soggy and the chicken was a tough as old boots! Staff were rude and basically said it's Friday, and they were busy because the food is cheap and only have one delivery driver! Oh that's okay then if it I am getting it cheap I can have poor service, wait over and hour and a half and have cold food!!! Shocking. Such as shame as the flavour of the food was good and it has the potential to be great with better service, quicker deliveries and a bit of love and pride in their work.

This is the best curry house for you if you like to be ill in bed with stomach cramps and diarrhoea. All you need is a couple of bites and you're sorted. If this was the only food left on the planet, I'd rather die of starvation. This place only has a hygiene rating of 3. I give it 30 days max before it's shut down.

One of the Asian curry restaurants with opening 7 days a week and late night till 3.00am, it's one of the best curry makers as its managed by Mr Tariq former owner of an award winning Manzil tandoori restaurant. It's located exactly in front of Gurdwara and nearby 5 river pub. Just check out the menu and atleast try once. If it helps you plz 👍 happy foodies...:)

Cult Southampton restaurant. Loved this place when I was studying there!

The food was prepared and delivered quickly - well within 45 minutes. It arrived hot and well packaged. All good so far, and a reasonable price too, we thought. The onion bhajis were good, if not a little greasy. The Peshwari naan was noticeably undercooked, yet well filled and surprisingly warm - in retrospect likely because it was packaged well with other hot food in the bag. However, although well portioned, the curries were a disaster. The chicken ranged from rubbery to dry in texture, depending on which piece you were eating. The Kashmiri and the Korma were both grainy, but the Korma moreso. The Kashmiri was quite spicy, and like none I have tasted before. It lacked balance due to there being no other fruit than banana in a dish famed for pineapple and lychees. The Korma also had a distinct lack of the classic coconut flavour. The coconut fried rice was decent, although its flavour was lost once mixed in the respective sauces of our chosen meals. A real shame - we were both hungry and were looking forward to this meal. A late night trip to the Co-Op would have been the better option. Learn from our mistake.

My partner ordered from here this evening as a treat for us both since we’re off on holiday tomorrow. Unfortunately they forgot our rice and the korma was barely a korma, watery and actually quite spicy. Chicken was tough too. Would not recommend this place

The restaurant owners were kind enough to give me some extra food with my order, the delivery was free and quick, food was nice and portion sizes were good

Absolutely disappointed sheek kebab looked a week old. Onion bhaji were raw in middle korma chicken was tough and not cooked in the spices properly you could still see it all over the chicken were it was so dry. Rice again chicken was very tough don't recommend when rang up for the second time the man was very rude kept saying my food was On way when I said I want my money back they hung up on me. Disgusting

£1.95 for chips, honestly the smallest portion and also they had clearly been re-cooked a few times. The curry dish was ok, but still didn't make a good meal overall

This has got to be the worst Indian Restaurant I have ever been in, The food was awful, the place was filthy, as were the Staff, and the Lavatory should be condemned. All the dishes looked the same, all covered in a disgusting looking brown 'Gravy'? The whole experience was one I would prefer not to have had. We left about 75% of the food, which cost over £50. Never, ever, again.

Never wanted to write a review so quickly. Literally just had a takeaway from here & it was absolutely disgusting, the worst I have had for a very long time! Arrived 35 minutes late to start with. The food was cold, popadoms & onion bhaji were stale. Curry’s were a horrible taste & the chicken was just horrible (dry & tasted off) I wouldn’t eat here again if you paid me!

I felt really sad so I decided to order food at 2am. The delivery was actually quite quick despite it being so late (an hour isn’t bad at all for the time). They gave me 3 extra onion bhajis , 2 extra vegetable samosas and 2 pots of sauce for free. It really made my night!

The price on the menu is not what they charge in real life, when you get in there they provide you with a menu and after you choose your menu item the waiter decides to change the price of all the items on the menu because they think they can. Awful service

Food arrived on time. The delivery driver was very polite. Would happily use this takeaway service again. If anyone has food missing by accident phone up and they will happily bring the missing items with no extra payment.

Ordered here via Uber Eats this evening for dinner. The order was missing our Naan Bread. The food that did arrive was poor. Not enough meat in both curries, especially the Lamb Rezala. There were four small pieces of lamb total. Mostly sauce, almost no meat! The Chicken Mirch Masala sauce was nice but what little chicken it had was very dry and overcooked. Uber Eats gave us partial refund for missing Naan Bread. Far better alternatives in the area. It's worse than a Spoons curry!

Ordered Set Meal for delivery. Took more than 2 hours to arrive and some of my foods was missing. Called them back straightaway and was told they would deliver the same food to me the next day for free. Next day, I waited for the food but it didn’t came so I had to call them again. Had to wait for 1 and half hour again and wasn’t delivered the same food like they told me they would. Really bad and rude staffs.

Food arrived cold and late and I called three times being told it would be 5 minutes each time and it was an hour late. I left a review on just eat and they said it was because my number is wrong on there which it is not and has never been an issue anywhere else. The last delivering the food said that she gets this problem a lot with just this restaurant. The third time I called I said I didn’t want the food as it is very old now and would be cold and he said it would not be cold as apparently food keeps the heat for 2 hours but this was not the case the food was inedible and I had to contact just eat who were helpful. If the issue was the number then this should’ve been said the first time I called not the third when it was an hour late. Very bad food

No other place like Tariq Manzils, whether that’s a cosy takeaway on a night in, evening dine in meal or stumbling in at 3 am. Food is always top notch and the service, putting up with everything is second to none. We love you Tariq and Co, never change!

Worst Indian I've ever had. We ordered on just eat and it had nearly 5 stars out of six, wish I'd looked here first. Took ages for the food to arrive and when it did everything was so bland,my daughter had a Tesco curry out of a tin instead because it was so poor...it tasted better. Keema rice - bland Chicken Tikka masala -bland Lamb bhuna - bland Sagloo - bland Mushroom Baji - bland Keema naan - hardly any keema...bland Watery tomato mixture for Tikka masala. Samoas were the only thing that was ok So poor would never use this place again!!! Avoid, if starving by a tin of dog food and eat that, it'll have more flavour.

Came for a dinner with my housemates, as we live close by, instantly unwelcoming, dark and dirty. The menus were dirty and halfway through we were told prices had changed. After some deliberation we decided to leave, best decision as we did not feel safe and that food preparation would result in food poisoning.

Ordered food at about 11:30 didn't arrive til 2:00am when we called to ask about the delivery the man was very very rude shouting down the phone at me. Wouldnt order from here again. Absolutely disgusting service. Would give 0 stars if i could. Alot better places around with polite staff. The time before this our food got delivered cold.

Stay away from this place so unprofessional dont care about customers at all and all they do is be rude. Waited 1.20mins for food and never came the person answering phone was laughing and sounded drunk also saying he was not bothered so would never go here again

So, where to start? We ordered food at 7pm. At 20.50 we called the restaurant and they said it was going to turn up soon. It turned up after 20 minutes, 2h after the order. the food was cold. The cucumber Rita was Curdled and very watery. The prawns were really smelly I did not have the courage to taste it. The onion baji were raw in the middle. The tika masala was more like a korma. Anyway, you get my point. To avoid!

Chicken korma was very mild and not coconutty at all like a korma usually is and my partner couldn’t eat his king prawn jalfrezi which only had 3 prawns in but also because it was way too spicy, spicier than a normal jalfrezi. Just not enjoyable

We Ordered through Just Eat, the order was accepted by the restaurant and after 2 hours of waiting, we called them and they told us it would be delivered in 10 minutes…. 30 minutes later after calling again they lied to us and told us the order didn’t exist and to contact Just Eat. Very poor service from the Restaurant

2nd best manzils, asked for kashmir lamb and they gave me ***king chimkin masala and were like “how do you know the difference“. I know the difference. Really rude

The server put his thumb in all our food and then tried to serve us already eaten orange slices. Also, let us order the student deal then told us half way through we can't have it and have to pay full price. After my friend threw up the moment he walked out the restaurant the server came out, not to show us his concern but to ask one of us for a cigarette.

My driver, Manzil, was exceptional. At the early hours of the morning he was polite and professional and the food was still hot; a testament to his efficency.

15 quid for 2 x doner and chips, the guy said it was going to be an amazing Indian experience. It was awful just felt ripped off, we had to wait 20 minutes, alarm bells should of rang.

Went to Manzil’s for one last curry before leaving Uni. As per usual, both the food and the service was top tier. Always incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Food was quick and delicious. Only place to go before OR after a night out in Southampton. Many happy memories here over the four years and I look forward to returning in the future.

An ever reliable and very well priced curry

Ordered food 2 nights ago and the restaurant had forgotten a main item and a drink. I called up to inform them and they asked for my postcode etc and here I am 2 days later still waiting for the knock on the door. Ridiculous
