Lovely food fresh cooked with fresh spices very good service. Try the Chilli chicken, lots of dishes not usually found on the usual menus.

Had dinner with family last week. Such great variety on the menu. The food is delicious and the host is delightful. The ambience is great and I would highly recommend a meal there.

We paid a return visit to the Ootupura. We are vegetarian and the food here is consistently excellent.Superb dosas. The service very attentive. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend the south Indian dishes. We haven't tried any of the more standard curry house dishes that they also do.

My family and I were looking for a South Indian restaurant in the Epsom area, and absolutely loved this little gem. The fish curry was generously portioned and fragrant, and tasted awesome with the parottas. The idlis were super-soft, and dosas were cooked to perfection. We will be back for sure!

We have recently discovered this restaurant. The staff is very friendly, but most of all, the food is delicious. We have now eaten here three times and we have been always very satisfied. Interesting menu and very tasty dishes.

We went to Oottupura on Mother’s Day which was our fourth visit there. They were serving a special set vegetarian meal which was served on banana leaves and looked wonderful but our young men didn’t want to try it and the staff were happy to serve us off the main menu. Everything we ordered was delicious as always. Every time we’ve been we’ve ordered something different and it doesn’t disappoint. The service is attentive but not intrusive and the bill, although slightly more expensive than the run of the mill curry house, isn’t exorbitant! We will definitely return 👍🏻

We had a fantastic meal tonight. Very authentic and beautifully presented. Loved the snacks, chutneys and dosas. Fish curry and kerala beef were lovely. The waitress was very attentive and charming, and couldn’t do enough to make the experience enjoyable. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic restaurant serving beautiful food. There were 4 of us dining including people who didn't eat and there was plenty of choice for everyone. They were really accommodating, letting us sit at a table for 6 so we had more room and when we ordered some bread during the meal, not only did it come quickly it was so delicious and quite possibly the best naan any of us have ever had. They are also really knowledgeable about their dishes. We loved every dish and can't recommend Oottupura for its food and service but also value for money. This is definitely a must try for curry lovers!

The restaurant serves authentic Kerala food . Probably the few places outside central London that serves such food, and with a personalised touch. The food is amazing and the chef personalises food to suit customer preferences. Would highly recommend for family and people who would like experience a bit of ‘Gods own country’!

This is a very authentic Indian restaurant specialising in south Indian/Keralan cuisine. We had a few dishes including a masala dosa and vada, both of which were superb. The curries we ordered were also excellent. Sadly for a Friday night, the restaurant was deserted - we were the only people there. If Oottupura could consider changing the lighting, making it a little less harsh, give it a more Indian decorative feel and most definitely, as at least one other review suggested, change the music - then I'm sure it could capture more of the diners from Dastaan across the road. But don't let that put you off if you want authentic and quality Indian food.

If you are looking for a menu with the regular matrix of Indian offerings ranging from Korma to Vindaloo chicken, lamb, vegetable and rice dishes this isn’t the place for you. Oottapura is where you’ll experience authentic South Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine of rare excellence. Dosas, hoppers, amongst a well constructed bespoke menu ensures an excellent dining or lunching experience.

Most local people tend to talk about Dastaan, which is over he road. How foolish they are!! The food here is really tasty, spicy and thoroughly different. We tried the dosa which was amazing. We followed that up with the salmon curry which was fabulously tasty and full of healthy ingredients!! Great service too and outstanding and soothing Indian music. This is where it’s at guys!!!

Meal for two last night. Had Plain dosa and chiken 65 to start , followed by Prawn and hot chicken curries, parotha,, rice and a potato dish requested by us and not on the menu. Everything was fabulous. Staff were friendly and attentive, waiting times were just rightand chef was thanked for producing a curry for us not on the menu. Really good experience. We had been here on the Onam sadhya day where the authentic Kerala food was served on a traditional banana leaf. It felt like back home, kids enjoyed the meal. The curry and payasam (dessert) were all amazing.

The owner is from Kerala and the food is from there - nothing like the usual Bangladeshi stuff you get elsewhere. There are lots of things you may not have tried before. We eat here last weekend and I felt I had to leave a review because the food, service and price were all excellent. From the little touches with the poppadoms, the lemon dip was really good, to the mains themselves, couldn't fault any of it. We recently dined with their main Michelin starred competitor over the road, the food there is fantastic too, but we seriously could not choose between them. We will definitely be back.

Despite my strange diet (Vegan, no grains, no processed sugars) they leaned over backwards for me. I had the spinach and lentil vegetarian and, although not on the menu, they made me an amazing aloo gobi. Maybe spicier than I was expecting but soooh good. I enjoyed the beer too. I arrived a little late but there was no attempt to get me finished by 2.30. Am taking my daughter this week.

Ordered take-away, ready in 20 mins, 10% discount for pick up orders, staff were friendly and courteous. Food was hot and tasty, reminded me if trips to South India. Authentic Lamb Malabar and coconut rice with lovely flakey parota bread. Highly recommended.

Certainly the best Indian cuisine in the local area. Since Oottapura opened we have been along several times and each time has been really top notch. We have tried a fair number of restaurants in the local area and although most are fairly good the quality and taste of the food at this restaurant is certainly better. The staff are efficient and very friendly and the whole ambiance and dining experience is wonderful. We shall certainly be using Oottapura a lot.

Fantastic, authentic food, service and atmosphere! We tried the nibbles with homemade chutney - the lemon one was fab! Had broccoli as a starter with a garlic nan - pure indulgence but must say best & lightest nan ever. Had dosa’s for main which were lovely with some paneer.. crispy & tasty filling. Sometimes Indian food can be floating in ghee - certainly not a drop in sight! Service was discreet & attentive. Great experience and can truly recommend Oottupura to you.

What a wonderful surprise to find such authentic Indian food in a local restaurant.

Very authentic Kerala style fish curry and mouth watering dosa were the highlights with everything else equally delicious food on the menu. Highly recommend to any body who is fond of South Indian food.

So nice to try out new flavours. The staff are lovely and the food melts in your mouth. I loved the homemade chutneys, especially the lemon one. Makes a change from lime. If you’re unsure which main dishes are similar to your usual choices and spice preferences just ask. We cleaned our plates. Yum.

I had the great pleasure of visiting this restaurant on Sunday. I was a little nervous as it had only been open a week after the premises had been Tapioca, which I thought was less than ordinary and then a Mediterranean restaurant which closed really quickly.

We've ordered takeaways tonight and the food was amazing!!! Thoroughly enjoyed by all. The spices and flavour was delicious. Definitely recommend it!!

Had an excellent meal last night with friendly staff and customers. Food was delicious and we ate nearly all of our large meal. I know it was mid week but shame there weren't a few more customers.

I visited Tapioca in Ewell with my family, this was my second time. The restaurant is spacious and it is located in a nice area with enough parking space. They have a verity of South Indian food in their menu. All the dishes were freshly prepared and delicious. We had a great evening and we will come back again

We six of us went and had experience very tasty south indian food. The new ambience and tasty food made our evening special. We started with Dosa and enjoyed each and every dish this evening. I recommend this place to all food lovers.

We went to tapioca restaurant in Ruxley lane last week. The atmosphere and service were fabulous, attentive and welcoming staff. We enjoyed the food, it was delicious. It reminded me the taste of food which I had when I traveled in Kerala. We had Lamb and fish biriyani, masala dosa and lamb chettinadu, we were able to get the real smell and taste of Indian spices. The food was much better than so called "south Indian restaurants". I would recommend this restaurant if you like to try south Indian food.

Just tried Tapioca tonight and absolutely loved it! Food was delicious, staff were really friendly and helpful with choosing dishes. Service was great. Think it will be a new favourite for us and would definitely recommend. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had a meal here with family and friends and they looked after us extremely well. We had children and a vegetarian in our group and they prepared especially mild dishes for the children at our request, which the children loved. They also catered very well for my vegetarian friend. the food was excellent. The waiter explained that it may take a little while as they prepare the food freshly and don't just have pots of curry on standby like a lot of Indian restaurants. it was really worth the short wait as the food was head and shoulders above what we were hoping for, it was delicious.

We ate her on a Friday evening, we were a group of four, when the restaurant was not busy.

This is a newly opened restaurant I have tried the food only once but it was excellent, really good. The manager explained that the dishes are south Indian so quite different from most Indian restaurants in the area.
