Booked Tapasya for 6, we were warmly welcomed by the waitress and the owner, the waitress who served us was excellent as she knew about the dishes ,flavours etc, the starters were excellent as were the mains , we had two chicken karhrai dishes, a chicken korma, alloo tikis x 2 ,samosas x 3 , chicken biryani , chicken chettinad , okra dopiaza ,and various rices and assorted naans, freshly cooked beautiful looking honest Indian food , not overpowered with chillis , we all shared our dishes as every dish was just lovely, believe me I know , I’m from India , it was like eating my mums Indian cooking! . We didn’t drink alcohol as we had drinks previously so the whole bill for seven came to £126 , which I thought was amazing value , we tipped 15% as the service from start to finish was excellent . Couldn’t even order any sweet as we were all stuffed !!!. This place is a gem !, don’t believe me ?, try it !, you will not be disappointed . Jay.

Came here with my husband for a different type of Sunday lunch and I was not disappointed! My lamb chop starter was beautiful. The chops were succulent and just the right amount of spice! My husband had the chilli paneer and again that was beautiful! The main courses were stunning and as for the puddings..... WOW! I had the Indian rice pudding and my husband, who isn’t really a pudding person was so blown away with his Indian carrot cake he declared it was probably the best pudding he had ever had! The staff were fantastic, very engaging and professional. We had traveled through from Beverley to eat here and believe me we will definitely be travelling through again! Definitely worth the taxi fare home.

Unfortunately not somewhere we would go again. The salad was dry, indicating it was not fresh. We were disappointed with the King Prawn puri: it felt cold and appeared to have 2 prawns and a tomato for £6.10. We asked for a refund on the king prawns and paid the remainder of the bill. We left the establishment after trying the curries and went elsewhere for dinner.

Myself & partner visited with another couple, We all opted for the Buffett menu , which is an all you can eat. You order dishes from a menu , you start by ordering 4 dishes each. Then 3. Then 2 but you can the order more if you wish. They are all small plates but very tasty. We all enjoyed the food & company. The service was really good & we had a laugh with the waiter. My partner & I have visited numerous times & have never been disappointed. 100 recommend

I found my new favourite takeaway. Having recently moved back to Hull my old takeaway has changed hands.(Moonlight cottingham road) I felt it was not as good as it used to be. The search was on! Having tried many a friend at work recommended curry leaf. I was not disappointed. Good portion size, decent price, I judge a Indian by its madras and this one does not disappoint. Check out the specials menu, I tried the lamb Lanka, very similar to a madras but much more flavourful. Quiet hot! Everyone I have recommended this place to has reported good food and are now regulars. I always pick my food up from takeaways as I feel I can get it home quicker and therefore enjoy a fresher prepared meal. I feel If you got food delivered there will be some compromise on quality. Thanks Curry leaf.....prob see you next week!
