Really great experience. Friendly staff, well organised and well ran. Carvery was very good I had the beef my wife the steak pie which she said was amazing. The veg and gravy was really really good. My son had the burger and he enjoyed it. Lots of the food is supplied locally according to the website which is great. Really nice pub, even had an open fire, busy for a Tuesday lunchtime which was great to see.

Finding a restaurant that is happy to host a meal for 27 people is a rare and wonderful thing! Jake and his team could not have been more helpful or friendly. The food was amazing , at a great price , a super selection covering all requirements and all served with a smile. I cannot recommend The Tap House higher. thank you for a splendid evening ♥️

Fantastic place, food is really good and plentiful. Nice touch Chef comes to table to tell you what available on Cavery. Rooms are reasonable price for night, beds very comfortable. Very close to Donington circuit, which is easy to get to.

Fabulous food, the chef and waiting on staff couldn’t have done more to accommodate myself and my family. My partner is vegan and the chef went out of his way to make sure he had variety. My step son is dairy intolerant and the chef came out to us every time to tell us what was available and that it was safe. Really lovely food, great price, great staff. We tried this place with another couple for the first time and we all thought it was lovely. Staff were friendly and welcoming, it wasn’t too busy when we went on a Thursday evening so nice and quiet. Starters were plentiful, fresh and tasty. Main course size was just right for me following a good size first course! Excellent value for money. Nice area to sit outside and a little playground if you have kids, wouldn’t hesitate in going again.
