I have used Tankerton Kebabs since it opened and always had great food. Friendly staff. I would recommend collecting to guarantee the food is hot and delicious.

Good food as always. I have been using the take-out kebab house for over 6 years and the staff are alway courteous and friendly (even when extremely busy). The food is always well cooked and the staff have always been willing to adapt to our requests of finish. Thank you

We go here often for occasions we have always found this place lovely with great food and friendly staff. Only once was are order mixed up but it was a busy time on a Saturday night and they are in high demand would totally recommend.

It is just absolutely disgusting. The staff are always rude, arrogant and argumentative. The meat is very poorly cooked and chewy and they can’t even wrap a kebab, they put the pitta bread in the bottom and just fling everything on top. Just please please please avoid this place! It is truly awful.

Fancied a kebab so went paid them a visit. I was shocked to find that none of the staff were wearing masks across mouth and nose. The small customer area was packed with no social distancing possible and no hand sanitizer. Cash and change was being exchanged. Seriously poor hygiene during a pandemic!

Shocked at what I saw. Do not risk eating here.5 Members of staff behind counter- One not wearing a mask. The other 4 all had mask UNDER nose and mouth. No globes or hand sanitizer. No screen.I saw one staff member continually lick his finger and then touch food whilst wrapping.Another openly coughed into his hand. This is not the first occasion I have seen this.I used to regularly use this kebab place but not now because I genuinely think it's a health risk especially because of how most people use their fingers to eat a kebab. Please be careful everyone.

After 24 hour fasting fancied something substantial. What better than a kebab. I had a large lamb Kofte with salad and a pot of chilli sauce. My wife had a small lamb Donner no salad with garlic mayo.Tasty hot food and crunchy salad only issue was the watery chilli sauceBut will have another couple soon as the Kofte was cooked just right and tasty.

The best kebabs about the staff are so nice and friendly absolutely love it wouldn’t go anywhere else

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, Don’t give these people your money,if you order food it arrives 2 hours later, if you ask where if is, they are rude, The guy that delivers the food said he couldn’t give a Fxxx, they are to busy to care,When the food does finally turn up one kebab was missing,The kebabs was cold, and the chips tasted and looked like they had been sat cooked all day then fried again, if you want to wait hours for your food, be spoken to like crap, have items missing and cold food, go here, if you want respect and nice food give this place a miss,

This place is a joke, they lie to you when you order a takeaway for delivery. I have used this place half a dozen times and the foods ok when they get the order right. The last time I actually got a takeaway delivered I asked for our normal, 2 small chicken shish with salad and chilli sauce and a portion of donor meat (for the dog). It arrived with the chicken shish covered in mayonnaise, not chilli sauce but we had waited 1.5 hrs for it to be delivered which is the norm, even though they always quote 40-50 mins. We live a 15 min walk from the place. So tonight the wife says shall we try a kebab.... even though I said the last time never again. So I phoned at 19.04, and asked how long for delivery...40-50 mins, 'me really because I don't want to wait 1.5hrs, them, no way sir 40- 50 mins. At 20.25 I phoned and asked where my kebab was..... I'm just giving it to the delivery driver.... which translates to I'm still cooking it.... see you in another 30mins. Really this is it... never again!!!!!

If I am honest - disappointed is an understatement. Absolutely disgusted with the service received this evening. Portions are half they was 2 weeks ago. Will not be ordering from this place again. Told will be delivered within 40 minutes, one and a hour later still not delivered. VAT not reduced, not really surprised as they probably don’t pay tax. The family have been sat here starving. I had to cook up a nice salad instead.

Phoned and ordered food for collection got home to find 2 doner kebabs missing, called and Explained situation to be apologised too and told that I hadn't actually paid for them, but thought I had as I paid what they quoted me on the phone at the time of ordering, thought I'd give them a second chance supporting local businesses, did the same ordered same food got them to repeat order and explained about my previous experience, when we arrived to collect the order they had given it to another customer who they then chased to retrieve my order I paid the amount ask for same as previous weeks oder and price given at the time of order, get home to discover a mixed shish kebab missing so again I called and explained to be told yet again I hadn't paid for it and that they would deliver the missing kebab BUT I HAD TO PAY FOR IT I told them I had already paid they said I hadn't I told them I would put it on social media to told rudely I could do what I wanted and then hu g up on me, the chef I spoke to was extremely loud and aggressive and rude to me. MY ADVICE IS TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Ordered a single Kabab by phone, told it would be half a hour or delivery one hour 20 mins, so said I’ll collect it in half hour. Arrived on time and waited a further 45 mins and still didn’t receive it ..... will not be using them again

Waited an hour and a half for a simple order and when I called to check on my food that I have already paid for they were damn right rude and then expected me to wait another 15 minutes on top of the hour and a half I've already waited! Absolutely ridiculous!

Normally great food from here, however the woman that is taking the orders now obviously doesn’t listen as 3 out of 5 things we ordered were wrong with sauce/salad and I asked for doner meat and got chicken nuggets! How can you get it that wrong?

Food is good and portion size is decent but allow 1.5hrs if you're getting a delivery. I've ordered a few time now and I haven't received a delivery in under an hour.

Cold and completely wrong order I asked for no sauce I got sauce it ruined all my food asked for no salad got it coated in salad , the red cabbage tasted off! My burger bun was soggy wasn’t even toasted I won’t be coming back to you

I try other places but keep returning here for my favourite, chicken donna. Even the small one is pretty big, and good fresh salad. Fried chicken good to, great service, and chips far better than KFC.

I've used this place around a dozen times now, always busy and always tasty and lots of it. They can get confused at times because of all the delivery food going out of the door so my advise is collect instead of relying on delivery. Great kebabs though.

Second time in a row I have been disappointed in the food and service. Ordered an XL chicken Shish with salad, half the pitta was a soggy mess and only had a tiny handful of onion and cabbage. No lettuce. There was less salad on that than the usual small ones I have ordered before. I was sharing it with my daughters so just ended up with dry chicken. Chips were stone cold. Delivery woman was rude. Order came to £19.10 and handed over £20 and she snatched it out my hand and walked off. No offer of change (didn't want any but not the point). Last time we ordered we waited about 2hrs for food after ringing 2 times to find out where our food was. No explanation or apology. Last time I will be going there.

Dry, tasteless and stale! Delivery took ages, they put the wrong sides in and made up a kebab we didn't order! When I called to complain they were rude and said we'd made the mistake not them!

I always try to collect takeaways, and it's a pleasure doing it here. Good service and plenty of parking. I see some others have complained about waits, but never a problem in my experience, and last night the delivery driver was sitting there ready to go all the time I was there.

Avoid at all costs! Complained about cold food being delivered and they refused to even talk about it. Apparently I'm a liar!

Promptly delivered all freshly cooked. My chicken kebab was nice and juicy and quite large although I ordered small. My potato wedges were lovely. Fluffy and a nice light season. Would definately return!

Absolutely shocking customer service! Ordered a donnor kebab,a chicken kebab and chips, when it arrived an hour later the chips were soggy/old and chewy and the chicken kebab arrived with no salad just pitta and chicken. When I rang the man then tried to say that we ordered no salad that was not the case and tried to make me put to be a liar.. I mean who orders a kebab with no salad!! Nothing was done to resolve this they were very rude will be avoiding!

Southern fried chicken, chips and service now far better than the Chestfield Kentucky which has plumbed the depths of awfulness, part company policy, mostly the owners. Also one of the few kebab houses doing chicken donna's Highly recommended. Take away only

Stayed in Tankerton for 2 weeks on holidays The food is very good plentiful fresh hot and always with a smile. Great service fab food

The service at Tankerton Kebabs is appalling. We have used them a number of times now, and something has been wrong every time. First we tried the delivery service. The delivery was over an hour late on multiple occasions and items were missing from the order each time. So we thought we'd call the shop, place our order and then drive to collect it - what a mistake. Twice now we have called them to place an order and driven to them to collect it. They do not start cooking the order until you arrive to collect it making the calling up an absolute waste of time. On the last occasion, even though all items in the order were seen by my very eyes, when I returned home, not all the items had been put in the bag. I had to drive back to the shop, wait AGAIN and then drive home. Of course the food was cold by then and as it turns out, not even what we ordered. Never again which is a shame as the food is edible and is the only the only one worth going to in a wide radius.

This place does ok kebabs- probably the best in this area, far away from any city where you could expect better. Unfortunately they are rude, slow and unable to deliver without making a mistake.

Have ordered regularly from here for years but both the service and the food have been getting worse and worse and now we’ve had enough. Orders not quite right, waits of an hour or two and today meat so dry it was difficult to eat. Looking for a new kebab shop now as we have to accept Tankerton Kebabs is no longer worth using. Pity.

Am (newish) local, and visited for the first time. Went there around 20:00 on a Friday so not too busy. I ordered a small lamb kofta kebab wrap and a small chicken shashlik kebab wrap so as to sample both. Had salad, fresh chilli and chilli sauce. They were both freshly cooked to order, didn’t take long. I was very happy with then both, probably preferring the kofta, but then I do like lamb. The chilli sauce was very good. They are generous portions. The place offers all of the usual kebab options. I will be back.

Good delivery service. On time. Food cooked well and still hot on delivery. Chicken kebab had fresh salad and plenty of tender chicken. Friendly staff.

Ordered, was told 30 - 45 min, called again after waiting an 1hr and half only to be told another ten mins . Finally arrived after 2 hrs of ordering . Will not be using again . Poor poor service .

Made a big order as a family. Yes it was a Saturday but very early evening so it shouldn't have taken too long! But the food wasn't delivered for nearly 90 mins. Mine was fine, tasty chicken shish kebab and lovely fresh salad. But my husband complained his pita was like cardboard and kofta dry. Maybe it's better for collection? Overall though 4 stars as I would definitely go back.

We have ordered takeaway from here a fair few times ). A few times things have been missing but we haven't complained as we usually don't have the time. A takeaway should be the hassle free option..

Delivery is always on time, the food is good. The chicken shish kebab is a must for me. The food is reasonably priced too.

I have changed from my usual lamb doner to chicken shish as the quality of the doner has gone downhill. Fast delivery but they charge £2 plus a 50p surcharge for paying by card.

Deberían buscar gente mejor ya que viene después de la temporada que habría sido usuarios regulares del servicio de entrega pero por desgracia no dar una segunda oportunidad cuando estoy decepción y hay mucho más para ofrecer aquí!

Had a large doner , which excellent and no grease . And plenty of salad . They also deliver which is a plus .

I was a bit disappointed as the offer didn't really live up to the promises on their web site, but the mixed kebab I had was OK. Not the best yet not the worst.

This is the third time that my food has taken around 2 hours to come and the third time they've messed up my order but before the food has been ok and warm still but this time it was stone cold and burnt too got to say one of the worst kebabs I've had in a long long time and this time I ordered sprite and got coke ordered coleslaw and got humus and had next to no meat in my supposed large wrap!!! Gave them the benefit of the doubt last two times but will 1000% will never be using again

These guys know how to cook and delivery top class food. Delivery is always on time and food is still hot when it gets to me.

What can I say ordered food when collected a meal wasn't with our food when rung up the people were being rude and not listening then they hung the phone up when rang again they didn't have time to talk to us very loyal customer but never going back again

We have used tankerton kebabs for 8 years but unfortunately the standards have dropped the lamb shish is not like it used to be It's like reformed lamb not the lovely lamb it used to be So we tried the kofte but that was like reformed meat not the nice minced meat it used to be very disappointed

Fab kebabs however having lived in the Midlands for many years before moving back we got used to having a much wider range of options so please add in naan bread & more sauces as I love a yoghurt mint/sweet chilli combo which sadly I now buy separately to keep at home if we going to collect a kebab from here. Their kebabs are very very yummy though, this is just what we were used to!

I'm not a great fan of kebab shops but I have always enjoyed the tasty chicken shish and the veggie halloumi shish, both of which are good value for money.

I ordered a large amount of food and one of the item was missing! and I called them back to explain that my order is missing. The guy on the phone did not accept the misunderstanding and he rather the put the phone down on me!! What an attitude to a customer! This is not acceptable! I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN!

I have been to Tankerton Kebab on many weekends. The food is very tasty and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Great food great staff much better then any other kebab shop in the local area! You should try the wedges very nice especially if they have been there for a while mmmmm! Highly recommend the chicken sheikh

This is the first time I visited Tankerton kebab and I was not impressed with the service or their food. I was not acknowledged by anyone to take my order for 10 mins. I ordered a small Shish and small chips. The shish was over cooked and the meat was hard and the same for the chips. The only positive of my meal was the fresh salad, sorry not impressed

My husband won't go anywhere else for his mixed kebab !!! These guys get very busy ....so I sometimes ring and then go and collect our order.

im surprised with all bad comments on here, i basically tried all kebabs in herne bay and whitstable and this one is the best. portions are very generous and prices are reasonable. though i can say they can do better chips :)

We had heard good things about Tankerton Kebabs and were determined to try a take away despite the negative reviews on here. We were surprised at how quick the food was delivered and how generous the portions were too much for us to eat so the dog got some too. We had the Tanker Mix, the chicken doner was delicious and succulent and the lamb kofte skewers very tasty. The salad was served separately which was nice and we chose chips which were crispy enough and home made humous which was really delicious as accompaniments. We would definitely order from here again but not so much food.

Order over 40minutes late, rang up but staff were rude and not very helpful, I Was told they were too busy and then aggressively told they never forget when i asked if they had forgotten to cook it. order received an hour and 40 minutes after ordering. Was given 3 measly bits of chicken in a large chicken shish wrap, burger burnt, whole order crammed with enough salad to feed the whole town. Lovely delivery driver though.

Staff very rude and unhelpful service is very poor chicken shish chicken is very poor quality and tastes of nothing. The doner meat very bland. Do not waste your money and eat there.

Today I ordered a kebab before arrival over the phone, my order was repeated to me. We use this place regularly and this is not the first time they have got my order wrong! However today was the final straw. When arriving home and realised my order was incorrect I phoned and the customer service was terrible. I was told there was nothing they could do and the manager was not there when he was in fact the man who served me! After no consideration and offering to help me I was told the reason for this mistake was they were to busy. I have previously worked in catering and understand how customer service is key. To end the rude member of staff hang up on me! I genuinely hope people use competitors and then maybe they won't be to busy, realising how customer service is key and with fewer customers maybe with time and training they will get this right as they wont be to busy!

Good prompt delivery. Mixed kebabs of 3 skewers and doner meat for 11.50 is superb. Nice that the meat arrives in one container, salad in another. Chips a bit soft though. Enough for 3-4 adults. Delivered in half an hour too on a Saturday. Really good meat cooked to perfection, not dry and really juicy. Worth considering!

Their Chicken Shish kebab is one of the best I've ever had. The chicken is always cooked just right and is never dry. The salad, the essential ingredient to a great kebab, is always fresh and plentiful. I highly recommend this place for quality of food, service and price. Happy days!

Waited 90 minutes for our order to arrive but nothing, staff were rude and unhelpful.....very disappointing

We have take away from here fairly regularly. Never had a bad experience. Food always absolutely delicious and cooks fresh as you wait. Deliveries are always equally as good. Staff really friendly. Love this place!

In the middle of Tankerton High Street. Does not look particularly attractive from outside BUT the kebabs are EXCELLENT and very reasonably priced. Having lived in Turkey for ten years, I know what I want in a Turkish kebab - and here I almost get it.

Kebabs are very very good. Not greasy and nicely charred. Chips again good. Potato wedges are awful. Please avoid them. A lot of effort gone into them to make them interesting and different but it just doesn't work. Staff are nice.

Very generous portions, good crispy fries and such good value. We had to wait quite a while but were very pleasantly surprised at what we received.
