Tandoori Nights in Poole

Always delicious and very nice people running the restaurant. They have recently had a spruce and the tables were all decorated with fresh flowers. Really cheered the place up! Highly recommend.

It was a total waste of money and time. The food was horrible—oily and without taste. We felt under pressure with over-the-top service- they tried to make unnecessary conversations, didn't want to give us any personal space! The server, who introduced himself as Mamu, was talking nonsense and wanted us to leave a 5-star review for free drinks!! If your food and service are good, people ought to leave reviews. Trying to make them write a review on the spot is way too much push and a bit offensive, too! Not surprised, why the place suffers lack of customers!

I had Mamu serve me who's customer service/hospitality skills were impeccable if you needed anything Mamu would be there in a flash and serve you with a smile also the food was outstanding very flavoursome I had the garlic chicken it was lush thank you for making our experience great all the best guys 😁

Turned up as they were opening on the bank holiday Sunday. Made to feel very welcome. Chose a seat and popadoms and drinks almost immediately. Chose the mains and the order was taken in due course. Some short chats with the owner who was incredibly friendly and attentive. Main meals were superb. Ordered to much as usual 😁 Overall a great experience with excellent flavour food. Would definitely use again if we come on holiday

We went into Tandoori Nights and had a wonderful meal, with fantastic service. The team were amazing, great atmosphere. It's under new owners and we can tell the difference straight away. I would highly recommend it

I’m sorry to have write this but the whole experience was just awful! We were made wait 15minutes at the table before we asked for a menu. We were then given pompadours and dips but waited a further 35minutes before taking our order. - So 50 minutes from being sat at the table to ordering food. Looking back we should have left at this point as the restaurant was not busy. The food arrived some 40minutes from time of ordering. (So 1hour 40 minutes from being sat at table to food being brought to table) The food was cold and tasteless. Onion Bhajee were nothing liked we’d ever seen and chips were so skinny, cold and stale. The curry’s were cold with no flavour and not quite sure what meat was in two of the curry’s. Shocking! They tried to over charge for food we’d ordered but did not get - Rip Off £7 for FLAT Diet Coke and Soda water & blackcurrant. We felt the deliberate delay in taking our order was a tactic to try and get us to order over priced flat drinks Sorry but the whole experience was awful, we would definitely never revisit or recommend.

I frequent tandoori nights regularly as a local, and choose this Indian take out over the local competition for a reason, pop in and give them a try, or call for delivery, they even deliver to rockley holiday park also

Actually had it delivered ,twice to my boat, fast delivery with no compromise on the quality of food. Very nice food indeed. And not expensive. Chicken tikka masala, sagaloo, pilau rice and keema naan. £20 delivered. Spot on and hot. 5 star

Take out was t really good ! Tender chicken and the flavours and spices perfect. And not over priced!!! Great find.

Sent Tikka masala starter instead of main so we were a curry short per person food was ok as in quality.

The chef’s special tandoori chicken was loaded with food colours and lacked any actual flavour or taste. The naan was burnt and barely had any butter in it. The egg fried rice was just average and had nothing special to say about.

Wasn't warm on arrival and tasted underwhelming.

The food was delivered 30 minutes late.. and actually an hour and 20 minutes after the 1st point of order! The food was cold .. and had to be microwaved .. The garlic nan was a plain nan , very unusual for this restaurant but very disappointed and spoilt the meal ☹️☹️

Had our first meal here last night and it was truly wonderful. The service was brilliant, the food was amazing and the staff are so friendly they make you feel like family. Would definitely recommend.

We were very disappointed in the amount of food you get the chicken containers were half empty the rest was okay the quality was good but we pay for the better quality tikka dishes I’ll probably try them again over Xmas . Kind regards Colin.

Chanced upon this place on the way back to our hotel following an event at The Lighthouse. It was quite late so we didn't expect to find a 'sit down' open anywhere but were accommodated at Tandoori Nights and treated to a really good meal. I'm no connoisseur of Indian/Bangladeshi food but know it can be bland and oily or just nuclear hot. We had the Garlic Chicken and Naga Meat curries and both were spicy, hot yet full of flavour. It doesn't look much from the outside but gave us a very welcome end to a pleasant evening.

im extremely disappointed food was barely hot and meat was dry and uninspired. 30 pounds wasted on what was a special treat and had to be heated in a microwave to be edible. I do expect some sort of recovery from yourselves or tandoori nights as this one of the poorest Indian takeaways I have had. garlic chicken had a decent flavour but that's about all I can say positive. please get back to me. regards Daniel jordan

Came to this curry place staff rude no help at all food was awful you could tell nothing was fresh we hardly ate anything they didn’t care just charged us full and walked off not good at all

Very disappointing. Prawn puri completely tasteless with the prawns like bullets. Mint sauce tasted off. Gave 2 stars as the staff were pleasant & the onion bhaji was ok!

Very bad experience, poor quality food. Chicken in the curry was reformed chunks not chicken breast! Very watery and bland. We will not be going again

absolutely perfect. having recently moved to the area id been struggling to find an Indian to replace the one we'd left behind and tonight we found them. delicious food, perfect heat, good prices and quick delivery. thank you

We went early evening and the restaurant wasn't busy so the staff were really attentive and very helpful explaining a dish that we weren't sure about. The food was of excellent quality and taste and we would highly recommend this restaurant.

Chicken very tender but not very much & the vegetables balti not very good but I’ll try them again and hopefully it will be a little better. Thanks Colin

We went here for my daughter's first Indian meal and my husband s birthday. I have to say that the staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. My daughter was very impressed. Thank you Tandoori Nights.

This is a lovely restaurant, the food is second to none, the staff are so friendly and polite, they always make me feel so welcome. A very enjoyable meal, I will be returning very soon.

Take away tonight —very poor bland -could not taste which curry it was supposed to be . Won’t be ordering again. We have eaten in restaurant in the past and had some lovely curries . Shame take -away service isn’t same standard

Absolutely shocking spent £45 on a take away tonight 3 different currys that all tasted the same and had hardly any sauce was all oil on top. Each curry had 6 pieces of chicken in. Rice was all stuck together and dry. Poppadoms was stale the best thing out the lot was the nan bread and even that was small. Will definitely NOT be returning. And my advice to people would be don't waste ur money 🙄

I went here for a meal with some friends, and we were extremely satisfied, great service, friendly staff and fantastic food, we will be going back again very soon.

Service is pathetic despite restaurant being literally empty apart from us. Waiter kept suggesting other dishes, not ready to take orders of what I wanted.atleast chips were good. Generally food is not too bad but service needs definitely improved.

This excellent restaurant is situated on High Street which is in the centre of Poole, it serves really top notch Indian food. I've just eaten there where I ate tandoori chicken with potato and cauliflower curry (Aloo Gobi) both of which were outstanding. After the meal I had a friendly chat with a staff member called Russell where I expressed my thoughts regarding the restaurant itself, the food, and the service. Based upon my experience, I can highly recommend this establishment and Incidentally they also provide takeaway and delivery services.

I've just visited this excellent establishment and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and service. I had a couple of papadoms together with the pickle tray in which the lime pickle was outstanding, as it was really sour and spicy, just as I like it. The moist tandoori chicken was delicious, as was the spicy lamb madras and the chapati. Service was really good, but I thought they were just a little too quick in clearing away the dishes from my table. Which made me feel a little bit rushed. The restaurant itself is very pleasant as it's large and spacious. Would I recommend having an Indian meal at Tandoori Nights? Absolutely, yes.

Visited early evening and were really well looked after. We all really enjoyed our food and if we're back in Poole again we know where to come.

Ordered a takeaway and it was delivered to our caravan, Poppadoms not a good taste. Onion salad boring and not much finesse ot thought gone into it…just loads of shredded onion Pilau rice average Madras chicken…runny sauce all in all not impressed with quality of food

I am very critical when it comes to Indian food. I’ve travelled all over the south west as far as Cornwall and Wiltshire. Tandoori Nights in Poole is one of the best I’ve tasted. I asked for chicken pakoras which were not on the menu, and they made them special. Me and my friends were treated very well and the food was a really good standard. Would certainly eat here again when I’m in Poole!

I had an average experience.The most significant issue was the poor service.The hotel staff seemed to be in a hurry to take our order, barely giving us time to look at the menu.This rush continued throughout the meal, making us feel quite uncomfortable. As soon as we finished eating the plates were whisked away in a hurry!! The food have been decent, the overall dining experience was marred by the bad service.

we had the weekend meal deal which was really good value for money. the curry was quite liquidy compared to what we would have liked but it tasted great. the bombay potatoes were delicious. we didn't get any onion mix with our poppadoms and it did take nearly 2 hours to arrive, but this was a Saturday night and we sent an update text and received an update quite quickly. would recommend

We walked in and it's a big restaurant so they were able to find a table with ease. Service was really good and food was lovely. Enjoyed the meal and would recommend. Very good value and good selection of food.

Superb. We was on holiday at a local park and the road was closed due to a serious accident but the delivery driver knew a alternative route and delivered early and piping hot excellent service !!

Food quantity is less. Taste is okk… not that great. The hotel staff was not very polite & were in a rush to pick up plates while we were still eating. Ended up paying £50 for a small grill and prawns curry naan. Overall not up to mark and expensive..

I ordered a tandoori mixed grill, quite an expensive dish, supposed to be chicken, lamb and king prawn, but it was missing the prawn! The rest of the Order was ok, arrived quickly.
