Tandoori Gate in Arun

I rated 2 stars as the service was just around what you expect, food was less then average (not bad but not the best indian). Keep working and I'm sure it'll lead to a better future.

Had a really nice meal here but was shocked at the bill. We had two pints of lager and two lemonades and the cost of those were nearly as much as the food! They don't bring out a drinks menu so you don't know how expensive the drinks are.

Whenever I am visiting family in Felpham we agree to one take-way evening dinner from the Tandoori Gate. I always call up my order in advance & it is usually ready in 20 - 30 minutes to collect (delivery service also available). For starters we all chose the onion bajees which were delicious. This time I went for the recommendation of the house and tried their chilli garlic chicken with pulao rice. Very nice but not as spicy hot as their vindaloo dishes which I usually order. My parents went for a very red chicken tikka masala which they also enjoyed. It's a pity that I don't get over to the UK that often, but when I do and I'm in this part of the country, then the Tandoori Gate always gets my custom. By the way, if I may add, if I were to stay to eat at the restaurant I would recommend that they clean it up a bit. It looked a bit disheveled when we visited and not particularly salubrious...

We live local and often visit the Tandoori Gate. The staff are welcoming and the food is delicious. They also do a very good banquet offer Wednesdays & Thursdays. Its great to support our local businesses....give them a try

Don't waste your time when there are much better places in the area, curry was bland, staff extremely rude, missed dishes from our order and refused to come out and deliver us the rest.

By far the best curry house in the area, very good food all fresh very helpful as my wife has Crohns so helpful with suggestions. Delivery available as well

I visited the Tandoori Gate with a group. The restaurant was very quiet and we were the only customers, apart from a couple of takeaway orders. The food was excellent. One of the nicest curries I've enjoyed for a long time. Everybody enjoyed their meal and we will certainly visit again. Thank you Tandoori Gate.

This restaurant does wonderful food and it’s very reasonably priced if you are looking for a good curry at a reasonable price this is the place to go the staff are very friendly

Went to the Goodwood revival in glorious sunshine but when we got home we’re a little peckish. Went to the pub for a couple and then onto this little gem. Nothing fancy but good food, friendly hardworking waiters and a bill that reflected everything I have just said.

After moving to the area 2 years ago and being told this was good we made a visit last night. On arrival welcomed and seated in a busy restaurant. At first seemed too busy with too few staff however this was soon changed and all went well. The food is amazing and very good value. We found out they were a staff member down and still managed to provide a great evening . Give these guys a try and you will not be disappointed

We have eaten in and ordered from this restaurant for several years, however this experience was awful. The food overall was cold, the naan was stale, the lime pickle was dried out and disgusting. I have never tasted a prawn Rogan Josh that was sweet and sickly with no spice whatsoever, quite frankly it was vile, and I didn't eat to much of it. The mushroom bhaji was a joke, a tub of cold sliced mushrooms. Poppadoms were greasy. Onion bhaji so small you could eat them whole. Salad went in the bin it was rank. I won't be back.

Used Just Eat for the first time, and collected the food as we were travelling home and didn't know arrival time, all good as usual but the portion size seems a bit smaller and the cost has increased, also one item missing from order when arrived home.

i am a regular for a take away although they do diliver locally , very good friendly service and you do not have to wait for ages , whlie waiting you can always enjoy a tipple.

After a delivery mix up - not their fault - we had a lovely take away meal One one the best we’ve had for a while We will definitely be using them again not just for a take away Although resturant was small it was busy very clean and inviting Staff were helpful

we travel to most counties up and down the country, and eat in 100s of Indian restaurants. This place is a gem, no fancy decor just great friendly service and fabulous food at v affordable prices. We atr twice in 3 days. The Chicken Phall was v tasty and hot, Tandoori Prawns Shashlick superb. Pickles fab spiced poppadoms lovely and Beer Cobra a good pint

We visited on a walk up from butlin’s on the off chance of a table and were the first people there. We ate off the banquet starter, main course and coffee for £9.95 per person we all really enjoyed our meals but skipped the coffee.

We'd gone into this restaurant a few years ago and asked for a table in a half empty restaurant but were rudely turned away (it was about 10pm). But we tried them again and this time found them, if not overly friendly, then at least polite and efficient. The food was tasty and well presented, the house white wine although a smallish glass was only £3 a glass which was cheap. Only downside was the portable heater which was strategically placed right in the middle of the small dining area and right up against my back. Oh and the not too healthy sounding coughing from the kitchen - although this was hushed up quickly!

This has become a favourite Restaurant for me and my Wife. We use the Tandoori Gate when we stay at Butlins two or three times a year . We are treated like we are regulars , always pleased to see us. The food is top quality and at a very fair price. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

We visited with another couple. When the bill arrived we were offered a complimentary drink each. These never arrived. A member of staff then began pacing and staring at the females in the group who were seated, facing him. Blatantly trying to intimidate. The member of staff was then rude to my husband when we left. We will never set foot in this place again

When we last ate here I couldn't believe how utterly rude the staff were to me and my family. I did say at the time that we wouldn't return. Due to circumstances I fund myself ordering a delivery this evening and although I felt a bit uncomfortable I thought I'd give them another try. Well hey didn't let me down! I have never had such disrespect and down right rudeness from a customer facing business. Leave this place alone, especially if you are female.

If you want a delicious food with high customer service then LOOK NO FURTHER. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! for a monday night 1st night in town, i didnt expect it to be by the standards ive seen in london, but this is One Of The Most Delicious authentic indian food I have ever tried!!! Fantastic food. Lovely house wine, crispy and full of flavours naan bread! The best ever!!!

He estado viniendo a este India cada mes o dos durante muchos años. La comida es la mejor comida india que he tenido por mucho tiempo. Mi media naranja y yo normalmente acaban de sentir un poco decepcionado cuando nos para ir a cenar a otro lugar porque Tandoori Puerta casi siempre mejor.

Our local curry house, eat in or delivery have been great up to the last time which was a bit disappointing.

Just as my friends and I sat down at our table a punch up started between the two members of staff!!!! We were all very shaken and couldn't get out quick enough. Will NEVER be going back again

What more can I say. Welcoming, tasty, reasonably price. Everything you could possibly want. Highly recommended.

Spent the weekend at Butlins and felt the need to get out for a curry. wondered up the road and found the Tandoori Gate . Good food at a good price , will be back again at one of our many visits to Butlins

El restaurante y la comida muy mala, mal orden recibida, en lugar de sustituir el orden, que discutió con nosotros y nos dijo que no se preocupan por el cliente. Constantemente discutiendo con nosotros, lo cual fue muy vergonzoso, luego nos dijeron que teníamos que...

Nos costó un poco de tiempo para elegir esta noche, elegimos bien. Pedimos tres especiales del chef, todo muy bien. pollo de licitación especias aromáticas. Un montón de comida por persona. Lo recomiendo.

We went on teh spur of the moment after a day at the beach. I had a vegetable curry which looked like it had been bought from the Sainsbury counter. The veg was small diced mixed vegetables with no flavour. None of the others enjoyed their meal, it was just so poor. The staff didn't seem to like strangers in their restaurant as they were very friendly with the locals. Shame as we had just moved to the area, so we could be a potential local.

I always visit a new Indian restaurant with some trepidation for fear of the fluorescent sauce that might be served but nothing could be further from the truth here as the food was delicious. We had chicken with karahi, saag and garlic chilli sauces, as well as various sundries and they were all lovely. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely visit again.

Excellent food but it was meant to be a banquet and there was supposed to be ice cream and they didn't either have it or they didn't include in the banquet but we got charged the same price for it. Also didn't offer anything else but coffee so said coffee or leave with out it. But the food was good. Don't know whether I be going again

The restaurant is in the charming Felpham village part of Bognor. We had vegetarian, chicken and lamb thalis. Generous portions at a reasonable price and quite delicious. What sticks in the memory is the service - they were really good at guessing what we wanted next.

Got a take away whilst staying at Butlins. Food excellent and reasonably priced. Wait was a little long but still hot after 12 min walk to Butlins. Would recommend!

I ordered a takeaway for home delivery for a family supper in Felpham and was very disappointed. The delivery waiting time was quoted as 45 minutes - we waited an hour and twenty minutes. In the first instance, the wrong meal was delivered - this involved waiting for the exchange to take place. Unsurprisingly, when we finally got our meal, it was stone cold. One meal had to be vegetarian and the veg biryani arrived with no veg curry - that person had to settle for a plate of rice. My prawn Madras was just a few prawns in a grey brown slurry - the starters were cold and dried out and the bag of popadums was mainly a bag of crumbs. By some distance the worst meal of any ethnicity I've ever had to pay for!!

staff average, atmosphere lacking, curries extremely bland, no spices would not visit again.Curries better at Wetherspoons for only £4.95

enjoyed a banquet evening on a Wednesday at £8.90 per head for poppadum starter main and rice or naan bread. Wine was affordable but mainly the food was lovely with the correct spices being used. Very tasty. Will definitely return.

Had a really good meal here on a busy Saturday night, we got there early which was good as with all the takeaways they were doing that seemed to drive up the waiting time for the other diners,Good pint of Cobra washed down with a special balti, peas pillau and onion nan- Very good.My wife had a King prawn special dish which looked and tasted superb, pretty good value too, would go back.

This is the only place I go every week ,very delicious food. Excellent servies and great value for money . Well recommended:)

I've come here quite a few times and never been let down! Great for a night down there with friends or a takeaway at home! Food is great and service is always immaculate! Great selection on the menu too. Would definitely recommend!

I went here with my boyfriend as we were visiting the area we tried out many resturants during our stay however this one was extremely exceptional ! The food was delicious ! Excellent service tooo reccommend to everyone xxx

I took my wife there for a meal and all started out ok until the waiter asked what my MOTHER would like. At which point my wife broke into tears. I wanted to leave immediately but she didn't. Compensation was some free onion bargees!! I point blank refuse to ever go there again!

I was working in the area so I fancied a curry so I came to this restaurant and ordered a chicken tikka madras and onion fried rice the staff was very rude didnt seem to be interested in helping you to feel welcome when my meal came to the table I served it on my plate and started to tuck in the chicken tasted strange and the worse thing happened to me the chicken was raw and still cold I complained all I got was half price for my curry if like me you are new to the area please ask about DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT

I was on holiday at butlins and it visited many restaurants within Felpham. But i have to say Tandoori Gate was the best. The food was just heaven in my mouth. Service was very excellent even though i went at a very busy time i was treated really well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone

Staff unhelpful and rude, onion bhaji cold & dry, rice watery and curry average. Naan burnt!! Best part was I ate it at home. Wouldn't recommend.

We have visited and eaten in this restaurant twice and have really enjoyed the food, the menu has a large variety, we have never seen so many choice of nan breads. We will definately go back there and it is one of our favourite places to eat now. Well worth a visit!
