Tandoori Flames in Swindon

We have been going to Tandoori flames on a regular basis for the past year and a half. We have never been disappointed!Last night we ordered as usual and the food came piping hot and delicious as always. Yes it takes a bit longer at the moment as they are busy but it’s always worth the wait. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for a Indian Take away. We have tried many dishes over the last year and haven’t found a dish we didn’t like.

I ordered butter chicken and garlic naan and it was the worst food I ever had in my life, To a point where I don’t like butter chicken no more. Honestly this is a disgrace to Indian food. Boiled chicken severed in sweet sauce calling it butter chicken. Really disappointed wouldn’t recommend if anyone is looking to taste Indian food!!!!!

Have used this place a handful of times. Delivery is always within around half an hour & quicker than quoted on phoneFood is of an excellent standard. Today we felt particularly ‘looked after’ (maybe as repeat customers) as we had a few extra things in our order (extra salad, mint sauce, poppodums etc) Delicious food. Great portion sizes. Will definitely recommend & we’ll be back again!

Such a shame !Food and service usually ok, however this is the second time I’ve been messed around with crazy delivery waiting times and missed items from the order.Delivery not only took four hours, but was wrong when arrived, so it did spoil our evening and also spoiled the following day, tried contacting the restaurant but no reply.I actually contacted the restaurant the day before to ask for advice as we were planning for a large order, made no difference and no reply !Usually spend £40 a week but will be looking for a new delivery curry restaurant now.Can’t believe that regular loyal customers are dealt with so poorly. especially with so much competition around.

Have ordered from this place a few times before and the food is good, however tonight’s order hadn’t turned up after waiting over an hour and a half, rang the place to find out how much longer it would be only to be told they have not started our order needless to say we cancelled our order as it was already 2120 I did not want to still be waiting come 2200. I understand that places have to put extra safety measures in place etc and demand may be high but if you are not going to be able to keep up with the volume of orders do not continue to keep taking more. This is a ridiculous way of running a service.

Great Indian takeaway. Food good quality and always cooked well. Great amount of spices. Try the chicken pakora and the onion bahjis. The app is very easy to use and you get loyalty points to redeem later. 😀

Having found this place on a popular food delivery app with 4+ stars I decided to order a takeaway (it's also very local), while the food wasn't bad there are a lot of better Indian takeaways in Swindon.The food was delivered pretty prompt but it was lukewarm (and this place is under a mile away) I went for a chicken balti, it was lacking a bit of heat and the chicken was dry and chewy. My other half went for a lamb bhuna which was a much better dish all round but still lukewarm. The star of the show was the cheese nan, one of the best I've had, shame the main courses couldn't match it.This place was ok the cheaper side, around be £10 for the whole meal cheaper that my usual in fact. £26 for 2 mains, a rice, Bombay potatoes and 2 nans. But you do get what you pay for.

Ordered food at 6.18 for delivery and were told food would be an hour. We were really hungry so held out until 90 minutes later when we called and asked if food was nearly here and were assured it had left the restaurant and would be with us soon. An hour later we called back to be told our food order hadn’t made it to the kitchen and would be a further 40 minutes minimum. We couldn’t wait that long (3 hours 20) so cancelled. Extremely disappointed and really hungry. Won’t be ordering from here again.

This place has really gone down hill. Ordered a meal for delivery and was told 45 minutes. I called after an hour as no delivery and was told it was out with the Driver and would be 5 minutes. I called back after another 20 minutes and was told that the meal had left 5 minutes ago and should be with me in 2 minutes. When I mentioned that I was told this 20 minutes ago the response was if I wasn't happy then I 'Could have a bloody refund!'Food finally arrived 90 minutes late but was barely warm and the sauce was watery and the chicken tough.Won't be using Tandoori Flames again!

We used the app, which is clear and easy to use, delivery time has always been beaten whenever we've ordered through the app. Food has always arrived warm and a friendly service. The food, no complaints here, the lamb was tender and plenty of tikka masala sauce, excellent food - will definitely be using them again.

Saturday evening we managed to get an online order in bang on 1700, as you are unable to put in an order before then. Pretty straight forward. The food was then delivered within 20 minutes, all hot and very tasty. Wasnt too spicy for the kids and the red sauce was very a lovely extra.

I have never left a review before on trip advisor but feel I needed to after the awful curry we just had. Our friends ordered a takeaway from here and I have never had a curry that was so bland. The keema naan was disgusting and did not taste like it was supposed to. Neither myself or my partner could eat it and he will eat most things. All of the food including the dips with the popadoms were such vibrant colours they looked radioactive. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Lovely food and reasonably priced but has taken nearly 2hrs to be delivered from when ordered was placed. This ends up messing up our evening in both occasions. If we knew it would take that long we would of either picked up the food ourselves or have gone somewhere else.Not good enough!!!

We ordered a takeaway for a family birthday meal. They delivered 20 minutes late sent a wrong item. When we rang to advise they tried to fob us off that a makhani and korma are the same! They agreed to send something else. An hour and 20 minutes still no sign of the replacement I rang to see where it was. The man who answered was extremely rude to the point of being aggressive and said it was on its way at no charge! 20 more minutes it arrived Luke warm and the delivery girl tried to convince me that the 2 dishes are almost similar! The biryani that I had was oily and frozen mixed vegetables were used. YUK !!! The poppadoms were the best bit but then how wrong could you get them. So to sum up food was disgusting service abysmal and extremely expensive over £50 for almost inedible food. The same order would have cost me around £35 from sinbads in Stratton which is definitely the best in Swindon. We only ordered elsewhere tonight as sinbads oven was broken. I will never use tandoori flames again and will never recommend them.

By far and away the absolute best curry’s in Swindon to be found here, delivery is always early, taste is fantastic and generous portions at a reasonable price!

I am always weary of trying new takeaways as I am a vegetarian that doesn't like many vegetables(don't ask lol) and cannot eat garlic and I am generally very fussy! However I cannot fault them our food last night was fantastic. Mine had lots of spice and flavour and was very saucy as requested. And my friend's beef madras and garlic Naan were delicious she told me. I was concerned as many takeaways seem to mess up mine when ordering with "normal" dishes but these guys were brilliant.. I cannot fault the customer service.. Mashcup (apologies I don't know how to spell his name!) was extremely helpful and doubled checked all the ingredients with the chef.. I must of asked about 6 different questions but he was so friendly and helpful.

We have ordered from here a number of times and have always had a good experience. My wife’s lamb dish was very good and so were the naan and onions bhagis. However the chicken in my dish was very disappointing, it had a very rubbery chewy texture. I’m inclined to think it is frozen and then microwave heated which isn’t great. Not sure we will try again.

Thought we would try somewhere different to our regular Indian restaurant. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her lamb dish and said it was 'falling apart' and so tender, while not being fatty, as is often the case with lamb. My chicken dish however seemed to have been preprepared, frozen and microwave defrosted, as it was very tough. Little care seemed to have been taken in preparation, in regards to the ingredients in the sauce, as whole, unchopped cloves of garlic were evident. All the sundry dishes were very nice though. We will continue to try different places, but feel lucky to have an alternative of outstanding quality, which will remain our favourite!

Food is amazing,full of flavour and consistently of a high quality. Delivery is quick and food arrives hot. Would recommend to everyone. Best Indian takeaway in swindon in my opinion.

Amazing food! Best curry I’ve had in my life honestly recomend it to everyone. Food comes in nice sizes so many things to choose from very astonishing service as well. Polite and friendly staff has the whole package. Best curryhouse in town 100%!.

The delivery arrived 45 minutes after ordering which was as quoted and the food was hot.

We decided to try a different Indian take away a few months ago and we are so glad we did! We have had several takeaways over the last few months and have not been disappointed. Each dish we have tried have been excellent. What we love is each dish is totally different and fresh. Haven’t had a dish yet we wouldn’t have again. Only trouble is deciding which dish to have as we love them all lol. I love really hot (naga hot) dishes. I have asked for several different dishes to be naga hot and each one has been perfect. We won’t be going anywhere else again.

Always an excellent friendly service, superb food and quick delivery. Couldn't ask for a better takeaway.

This has become my new favourite Indian takeaway. The food is always piping hot and absolutely delicious. Will be ready for collection within 20 minutes without fail.

We ordered online, very simple. They gave us a delivery time of 45mins, and as it was snowing and there was snow on the roads, we expected it to take longer. No, they delivered earlier!

Great food, fast delivery, decent sized portions and the food is always fresh and piping hot when delivered. They have even made us bespoke items when requested, would definitely recommend this takeaway, we tried them when they first opened and wouldn't go anywhere else now, they are always our first choice.

Me and my wife have just ordered from this restaurant for delivery. This is our first time ordering from this restaurant as wanted to try a new place. The reviews all looked good but little did I know how bad it is. The order came (on time) which I thought brilliant , but then noticed that my curry was missing and after calling them and telling them this, all I get from the person on the phone was “it happens” I’m sorry but if your a busy restaurant you should make sure that everything is sent out correctly! Not only that all the other food was luke warm. After calling them to tell them to re send another one out they wouldn’t even offer a gesture of good will or even take it off the bill! All I can say it did get delivered quick afterwards but the rest of the food became cold when arrived. Will not use this place again. Even when got delivered after the mistake the guy said if I was a known customer they would of been able to do something! Really good customer service that is....not.

great food delivered in 20 mins ...lots of little extras thrown in..proper portions not like some local restaurant's who now feel the need to only use small cartons.....will use again and again if the service remains at such a high level...

Thoroughly recommend this takeaway. Husband, myself and teenager son thoroughly enjoyed the food and will be using this Indian kitchen from now on.

from ordering online time delivered 28 minutes ,veg samosas second to none mushroom vindaloo excellent my wife only orders the side dishes and declares them lovely so if she's happy i'm happy. delivered by a lovely polite cheerful young lady don't have contact with shop for ordering except when they didn't have mushroom vindaloo on menu (thanks Natalie )for your input and now menu amended to include my favourite dish .so it shows THEY DO LISTEN to what we (the cusomers) want . their discount membership scheme is very welcome as well . all in all a very nice establishment and friendly staff

First time here tonight,good madras, good balance of spices ,and Bhuna was very good,over all with rice,Nan this was a good takeaway,and will be back,so we'll done,good service .

This was the 2nd time we had ordered food from Tandoori flames (where they brag about how lovely their food is) only to be very disappointed by the poor quality of the chicken in two of the 3 curries ordered. Some pieces were very grey looking with bloody veins in them and the remaining pieces were like chewing hubba bubba!! And the fact that the poppadoms were chewy/stale tasting (as though they had been sat out for sometime or been re heated :( My husband called to advise them how unhappy we were. The phone was answered by a female who relayed how we felt (to what was supposed to be the chef). Only to be told, that he said "the chicken was fine, but if we weren't happy we could have a discount on the next order we made"???? We were obviously not happy with his response as we were hungry and actually wanted some food that was edible. She relayed this to the other person again (not sure why he didn't just do the right thing and come on the phone and speak to his unhappy customers?) He then agreed to replace the two kormas and the popadoms. I bagged up the uneaten food and we waited for them to deliver the fresh food. The female who arrived with the food was very pleasant and apologetic. I exchanged bags with her and she advised they would check the chicken out when she got back. I expressed my disappointment again and she left. The fresh curries were a bit better but there were still a few pieces in both curries that were grey looking with veins in them and the popadoms were pretty much the same as the last lot.............so all in all we were very disappointed and will not be returning to this takeaway. Wouldn't recommend to friends and family either unfortunately :(

Tandoori Flames Moredon Swindon

First time we went to Tandoori Flames last night and we were not disappointed. We ordered 2 chicken madras, 1 chicken tikka masala, 2 pilau rice, 1 egg fried rice, 1 bombay potatoes and 1 garlic nann. This came to £34. All of this was very nice, would definitely recommend.

4th meal from Tandoori Flames, recommended by a friend. Have tried most of the Indian restaurants/takeaways around Swindon, this food is great! Every order delivered promptly and piping hot, drivers very polite.

Best Indian we have had for a long time. Arrived quickly food piping hot poppadam hot and crispy. Free sauce lovely food will definitely use again. Lovely.
