An enjoyable meal. It was our first time at Tandoor Chop House and we were impressed with the food, very vibrant and very tasty. The staff were accommodating, too. The only thing is the music was so loud and they were playing pop songs. It didn't feel very authentic at all. It would have been nice to listen to music which felt more authentic with the food. I would recommend for the quality of the food!

I recently dined at Tandoor Indian Restaurant and had an incredible experience. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, making sure everything was just right. One thing that really stood out was how quickly the food came out, which was a pleasant surprise. Even better, I was able to make a small change to my order with no hassle at all. The restaurant has a great atmosphere as well – warm, inviting, and perfect for a cozy meal. Overall, Tandoor is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine. I highly recommend it!

Cosy, wood panelled dining room tucked away behind one of London's busiest attractions - this place is a real gem. We booked a table here via OpenTable because we were in the area, and meeting a friend for lunch. In my reservation I requested a high chair and when we turned up at the restaurant, sure enough one was waiting at our table. Courses were served quickly and staff were able to recommend dishes and answer questions. We were all very impressed with the level of service and quality of the food, considering the prices which are very affordable / reasonable, especially given the famous location.

What a supreme delight....wow. I don't think any other establishment I've been to including a fair few Michelin star/s restaurants can pull off such yummy naans like The Tandoor Chophouse. The seekh kebabs also top, kashmir side potatoes waahhh!!! I loved the butter chicken naan and chickpea chart....my only gripe is I didn't have enough room to try more delicious food. We had a mighty Sunday thali at this place for a group of 4 people. The quantity was apt for us and it left some space for the dessert at Covent garden after. All the dishes are super tasty. Specially Butter chicken Naan, dal makhni & surprisingly Paneer Malai tikka. However, they gave grilled pineapple in dessert which is not a great Indian dessert option. For the price, they can do better on dessert.

Is it a 2 or is it a 3? Does it matter? I will let you decide Tandoor chop house Covent Garden is on a bit of forgotten real estate off Trafalgar Square. Not the nicest street scene. However, it’s smart and when you enter is remarkably refreshing from what you might expect of an Indian restaurant. Only downside was the booth tables are a little low and not huge legroom between them but overall a nice welcoming atmosphere. The team running front of house were really good. Polite and welcoming and genuinely interested in looking after you. The food tho was the challenge. Onion ring bhaji just too much onion dripping in fat. The seekh kebab roll though was excellent - lovely level of spice and just really good. We went for both the tandoor specials honey chicken & lamb Sali. Both were disappointing for me (my friend liked the lamb). The honey chicken just too sweet and sticky. The lamb I thought just a bit over cooked. Both could do with rice - particularly the chicken which I think would have helped balance the sweetness. Unfortunately rice isn’t available. The garlic naans were a bit too oily for me - fluffier would be better. However the black dhal was really good. This could be a good challenger to your classic Indian but only if the food is balanced better. Early days I hope. Will I go back? Possibly, I will check and see how the menu develops.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the tandoor chophouse, a restaurant that served the most exquisite Indian dishes I've ever tasted. The hot honey chicken was a perfect blend of sweet heat, with tender, succulent meat that just melted in your mouth. The lamb shoulder was equally impressive—slow-cooked to perfection, it was incredibly flavourful, with spices that were both bold and beautifully balanced. The Peshwari naan was the perfect complement to these dishes. It was soft, warm, and wonderfully fragrant, with a subtle sweetness from the coconut and raisins that provided a delightful contrast to the savory dishes. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavours, making the entire meal an unforgettable experience. This is a place where the food isn't just cooked—it's crafted with love and an evident passion for flavour. I can't recommend it highly enough! Thankyou tandoor chophouse!

Tandoor Chophouse is definitely a crowd-pleaser. The food isn’t too spicy and there’s something for everyone. Personally, I like my Indian food a bit spicier and with more intense flavors, but I still enjoyed it. I loved that the menu was small and the service was super quick. We ordered quite a few plates because the portions weren’t that big. Standout dishes for me were the Whole Market Fish and the Lamb Salli Boti sauce—so good! The bone marrow naan was also a highlight. But I’d skip the hot honey chicken next time; it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Overall, it’s a great spot to take a group with different tastes. We had the onion bhaji to share, which were disappointing, I have to say, quite bland and not cooked properly. The lamb special was delicious, as was the hot honey chicken, but the Naan, dhal, and starter were all very underwhelming in comparison to other Indian restaurants I've been to. Not enough flavour, and I also either under or overdone. Paid £90 for 2, and we had no drinks, so also a little pricey. We came here after I'd seen the place on Instagram. The service for this place was great; the staff were friendly and they were so good when it came to food allergies. Often in restaurants, if you mention a food allergy, waiters will say that they can't guarantee that an allergen isnt present, but here, I'd say they went above and beyond to check each and every dish. Unfortunately, we didn't think the food was that great- it was mostly bland and flavourless. The lamb chops were underwhelming for the price- slightly overcooked and were a little fatty compared to what you'd expect. I wouldn't necessarily avoid this restaurant if I was invited here, but I also wouldn't choose this over some other similar restaurants in London.

Halal, true, delicious, but very expensive. Chicken biryani costs 28 pounds! The quantity is small, barely shared by two people, and the masala as well is 26 pounds, two naan breads are 10 pounds, a little dough and a raita salad are available for 4 pounds, the biryani comes with a raita salad, a rum shower is cheaper and of the same level, but what distinguishes this is classy and quiet once in a while, it is suitable for newlyweds and those who are not hungry, a rum shower is saja 😂
