The food is really over priced for what it is. It’s just ok. Waiter was a bit clueless and added extra food to our order and bill. Also really kind of them to add a charity donation to my bill to without my consent. I asked them to do something for a special celebration but it was forgotten, but I saw them do something for a birthday celebration while we were there. I’d avoid this place personally.

Located a short walk from Charing Cross tube and train station just off the strand. Nice wood based panel interior with long table in the middle with round tables and larger Booths on the left wall and smaller booths for two on the right wall. Kitchen window allows a view into the working of the kitchen and the cooks. Selection of menus from Ala carte, Thali for more than two person and three course lunch and dinner. Had the chicken tandoori- half a chicken- two pieces but both leg pieces, could be shared out by two person. Very flavoursome with the spices in the top but the interior was tad bit dry. The naan with bone marrow was very good. The onion topping on the naan was cooked in bone marrow and tasted nice a rich. Could come back to try out the thali/ three. course. Noice levels high as ceiling is concrete and therefore no noise absorption.

The food is good but lacking nuance in its execution. Luckily, the cuisine relies on strong flavours in which case the conveyor belt style food prep is adequate. The cauliflower croquettes were pureed to the consistency of dense textureless baby food. The hot honey chicken is very sweet and quite gloopy, recalling sugary American-Chinese cuisine. The famed lamb chops are slathered with a piquant marinade (which does all the heavy lifting in making the chops sufficiently flavoursome). But these could have been finished with more attention, e.g., searing them at a very high temperature so they would be redolent of the grill. This is a cheerful and fun eatery with a convivial, if raucous, atmosphere. The service is brisk, efficient and friendly. I'm glad we tried it. But I'm unlikely to return. All that said, however, this is a reasonable choice for a lively pre-theatre meal.

What a nice little place, food is spot on, no rice just Tandoori dishes with Naan. Onion bhaji rings were less bhaji and more battered onion rings, lovely nonetheless with an excellent dipping sauce. Thank you, Gabi and Nash, for your amazing service, recommendation, and attention to our needs and desires. I had dinner at Tandoor yesterday and it was a spectacular experience. Cuisine of Indian inspiration, a different way of cooking chicken and bread, (they cook it in large clay barrels), I will show you a video. Cauliflower croquettes, exquisite, served with a very delicate blue cheese sauce. The warm pitta bread, freshly taken from those barrels, some butter on top make us enjoy our chicken our skewers of lemon chicken. The butter chicken naan, combined with various vegetables, with a honey sauce, made our experience and tasting the best of the last few days. The dessert was a delicious mango sorbet, and a delicate warm pitta bread, with Nutella and coconut ice cream, was a perfect combination to dream about. I recommend TANDOOR to everyone who wants to have a different experience tasting the flavour of cooking in clay barrels. It is something that undoubtedly makes a difference. ❤️ it.

Tandoori Chop House was one of a few restaurants on our “go to” list when in the city of London. Regrettably we will be scrubbing it out for future visits. Whilst our last visit was ok - that is actually all it was.. ok. There appears to have been changes to the menu. We shared a flat bread for starters, the name of which escapes me but ham and mustard is not something I want here. My wife’s main course. Another new addition to the menu, was very much crispy chicken with sweet chilli sauce. Chinese food? So whilst the food we had was, as mentioned, ok. It no longer ranks as something special and so our most recent visit will regrettably be our last

However, the likelihood of a return visit is not high for me. Despite booking two months in advance with heightened expectations, there was a bit of letdown with some dishes that didn't quite match our taste, resulting in a noticeable amount of waste. This small place feels pretty well managed and comfortable. I thought that some of the dishes were delicious, but others just so-so. This inconsistency feels like it comes from a bunch of cooks in the back with decent recipes, but the lack of a head chef tasting things and supervising before food goes out. I loved the chickpea chaat, perfect blend of spices, saltiness, and tamarind. But then, coming out of the same kitchen was tandoori chicken that looked good but was bland and expressionless. The beetroot kebabs were brilliant, chewy and tasty - but then the naan and roti breads were missing something, and I am a total sucker for freshly cooked bread. The black urad dal was pretty good although with some sort of dark burnt flavour like overfried mustard seeds or too much mustard oil. The chicken Ceasar salad was really nothing special, bland. The baby radish and hummus dish needed salt and seemed too oily. The dessert kulfi on a stick was nice. Service was very attentive and prompt. On the whole I think that this place is churning out decent food but needs some better oversight.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We had reserved a table two months in advance for a New Year's Eve dinner. However, when we arrived (15 minutes before our reservation), we were informed that an attempt had been made to call us to notify that the kitchen would be closing at our reservation time. For a reservation made two months in advance, it was surprising to hear from the owner that they tried to reach us on New Year's Eve to change our reservation. The early closure on December 31st should have been mentioned at the time of booking. Out of consideration for us, the staff did keep the kitchen open longer, as per the waiter. When ordering our food, we felt rushed with remarks like 'please place your order as the kitchen is closing, it's New Year's Eve and we too want to go home to celebrate.' The food was mediocre, nothing special, particularly as we only had 30 minutes to dine. Overall, due to the poor organization, the rudeness, and the passable food, I cannot recommend this place.

Overall the food and the place are very nice and great in taste and flavour but unfortunately, it was not possible to enjoy at all the horrible customer service! We booked a table for 4 for 9.15 and the waitress after a couple of minutes rushed to tell us the kitchen was closing very soon (9.30 ish), so we quickly ordered everything. While we were eating the staff ( around 9.50 ish. ) started clearing up the restaurant placing upside down the chairs on the table ( we were the last client ). We complained about it as they made an effort to rush and make feelings weird and to eat. Regarding our complaint to the waitress, we think the manager / is responsible for that night (a lady with blond hair ) her response was we are closing at 11.00 pm and you are the last client so we did this ext.We asked if we had time to have our dinner at a reasonable time and asked why they had last booked at 9.15 pm if they aren't able to do a good service to clients or give to the stander 2 hrs for 4 people. The food was worth the visit but this horrible customer service made us very upset and unhappy to ever book again.

Definitely worth going if you like spicy Indian food. Not the traditional Indian food restaurants and all the Tandoori dishes were really good and a special recommendation for the lamb chops. The different naans were great in particular the one with bone marrow. Reservations are recommended and you can do it via their website.

Amazing lamb chops and honey chicken! Really good service and I would highly recommend visiting! 4 stars for food due to one of their signature dishes - tandoori chicken was super dry and chai was overpowered with spices in particular cardamom

medium quality Indian food with cheap price. Based on the waiter who served us, I would not recommend and would never visit again. He placed the plates on our table rudely, and didn’t even feel sorry? horrible attitude, felt sorry for him for lack of basic manners. Just sad.

We tried the Mighty Sunday Thali, there were some real stars in the thalli such as the lamb chops which were spicy and extremely juicy ( a bit of Lahore kebab house meet Birgadiers). The chicken tikka was very soft I have tried places where they struggle to get amount of perfect cooking for malai tikkas. The daal was pretty good and the assortment of naan was good too. Having said that the disappointment was the dessert which is grilled pineapple , this maybe my taste buds but grilled pineapple sprinkle with cooked Paan masala was just too funky for my taste buds and was my least favourite of the menu.
