After viewing the high ratings on Google I decided to take my family and give it a go. We ordered samosa, butter chicken, chicken curry, prawn Tikka and a lamb masala and to be honest it didn't live up to expectations at all. Disappointed

Not worth the hype.. yes, the place was packed and the staff were struggling to manage things. But thats no excuse to serve bad food. The paneer gravy was cold; when told, it was reheated in the microwave n served again and it wasnt too good. The garlic naan barely had garlic and again was room temperature. Our simple drinks of lemon and mango juicez took ages to come, we almost finished food. Luckily we sat next to the bar so could ask the helpful guy there to hand it over directly but again it was prepared in haste. Overall, may be the place is better when less crowded but i will not risk repeating.

Delicious food and Great service by Nayem

We ordered chicken butter and chicken kurma. Food was better than average. We were served by Nayem who was a very delightful. Two things to note: one of them is that we were not aware of the service fee and were a bit caught by surprise. Second was the forcefulness to make us write a review. We understand the need, but felt a bit too pressured. Other than that, great place with great people! Totally recommend.

Looting British people in the name of Indian food. I have been hoping a good Indian food unfortunately it was terrible, so cramped and bad service .. ah what not the attitude they carry towards specific set of people is horrible. We got Chinese sause dipped chicken 65 instead of Indian style.

I call them for some enquiry to book table for us, but the guy who picked up the call was very rude and put the phone down.. pathetic

BEWARE of staff adding things to your bill without having ordered, they will give you two naan when you ask for one, two papadom if you ask for one, etc. butter chicken was 15£ for 5 pieces of dry chicken. Table was DIRTY when we got there. Entrees were DRY and tasteless and extremely overpriced. Rice was dry from a few days ago. Tourist trap!

Really disappointed with the experience we had today. We had ordered aloo paratha, dal, jeera rice and Channa masala. Except the dal (which was average) the other dishes were extremely dissatisfying. The aloo paratha was half cooked(seen in the picture) with hardly any potatoe in them. The jeera rice was basically biryani rice with too much burnt jeera in it(seen in the picture) Channa masala was half cooked chick peas in a tomato paste. As an Indian I expected atleast a basic authentic jeera rice.

[EN/FR] The food is good for an average budget (£85 for 2). The servers are attentive and friendly (Nayem served us). If you like real Indian food (spicy!) go there. The server is very supportive of leaving a Google review. I understand that it is necessary, but be honest in your notes, think of future customers! The restaurant was not crowded even though we went on a public holiday which is a plus!

The food was delicious. I especially loved the onion bhaji, coconut rice, and shahi paneer. You can’t go wrong by coming here. Our server Nayem was very friendly and attentive. It’s also very central. Highly recommend!

The meal was good and the waiter Nayem very nice but much too expensive for what it was. 85£ if we convert we got more than 100€ for two with just a main course and a drink. The prices on the site and on the menu are not the same too bad.

We loved the food, the bread (NaN) was particularly tasty. Chicken tikka masala has been a pleasant discovery, it really tastes good. Nayem, the waiter who served us, was pleasant.

The truth is that the food is great! We have been to quite a few Indian food places. But this is not the best we have been to, it is one of the best! Totally recommendable!!!

In London for the weekend, fancied an Indian curry. We happened upon Maharaja of India - absolutely fantastic. Food and surroundings were top notch and our waiter, Nayem was very attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. Would definitely come back.

Nayem was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. The food was outstanding. Not just spicy hot but you could taste all of the gorgeous flavours. We would definitely visit again!!
