Food was good at all. My comment on grilled plater is that it’s like 50/50. But Brinjal taste was excellent. Thank you nayem for good service

The best Indian food I’ve had in London! Flavorful curries and their naan is delicious. I especially loved their mushroom rice. Aside from their food, their service is exceptional. Our server Nayem was very welcoming and accommodating. Would come back here next time I am in the area!

Not good. Food was not fully cooked, and had the taste of raw spices. Also one dish they prepared wrong, when asked to replace they replaced it but charged for both the dishes. Feel cheated.

The food here is excellent, very authentic. Really great naan, amazing Masala. The staff is very kind and helpful. Halim especially was great. Finish your meal with a shot of Sambuca, trust me.

Ikizakashi kick is zakakuku rikibyu cuirdaka 😄 What did you say to Nakan? Even Sulvils wasn't sleeping, so he came and asked me to use Ricky View Q, so he hit it himself 😍

Excellent, well spiced Indian food. Freshly prepared. Excellent service by Halim tonight. I especially loved the lamb biryani and the delicious naan breads. The only small drawback is that the tables are so tightly spaced together.

Very good Indian food, with lots of choice. Be careful the dishes can be very spicy! Halim the waiter was friendly with us and gave us good advice!

Absolutely terrible experience. Anyone whose face looks anyway close to being a south Asian should stay away from this place. The staff assumes you like spicy food = loads of chilli powder absolutely out of place. Trust me you taste the powder in it. We complained that we cannot eat it at that spice level and they suggested they’ll remake a milder version for us. We get the dish back in less than two minutes - of course made it milder by mixing tomato ketchup or spoon fuls of sugar in it. We now had a dessert in our kadhai paneer. I take it personally to the desk to ask if they could taste it. Again they request we wait and it will be remade. This time 10 minutes later we get a watery run down version - not even salt in it. Contains boiled veggies and soggy boiled paneer with zero taste. It’s clear they just removed the curry added water and boiled it. This time we gave up. So here’s my review - if you’ve got any resemblance to an Indian face - steer clear of this place. If you do go, make sure to ask for the version of food they make normally and request to not spoil it by trying to make it whatever their assumption of spicy levels of Indians are. Maybe you’ll be luckier.

Added too much red chilli in the paneer curry, when asked to fix it, just came back with some more sweetness but same chilli. Told them again after which they got rude and just gave curry without any kind of spices, and just watery. Not at all recommended.

Very good atmosphere with good life and pulse in the restaurant. The food was very good. Halim, our waiter, was very accommodating with everything as our children are a bit particular about their food. Very good and definitely a place to visit again!

NAYEM After visiting Piccadilly Circus, I was looking for some British food. There was a lot of rice, but it had a slightly coriander flavor, and the naan was not very good. Overall, the food was spicy and delicious.

Absolutely horrible experience. This place is not for people looking for authentic Indian food, specifically for indo-chinese. First of all the menu displayed outside and inside was different. The menu inside did not have any noodles. When we inquired about the discrepancy, we were informed that the menu recently changed and the menu 'inside' was to be updated. We ordered Gobi Manchurian and veg noodles. What we got were cauliflower pakoras with ketchup and maggi with veggies. The staff was extremely rude when we pointed this out to them. Terrible experience.

First off, come to Maharaja. When you get here ask to sit in Nayem’s section. He was phenomenal. The food is incredible and the service is even better.

We visited this restaurant because we enjoy Indian cuisine and were drawn in by the high ratings and large number of reviews. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming—both the food and service were average at best. Just before leaving, staff asked if we enjoyed the meal, and upon hearing a yes, they strongly encouraged us to leave a review on the spot. This practice likely contributes to the inflated ratings, which don’t accurately reflect the true quality of the restaurant. It feels misleading and doesn’t give a fair impression of what to expect.

We went to the Maharaja by chance and we had a great time. Nice surprise. The team takes great care and especially Nayem who was perfect! The food is excellent (butter chicken, tikka and dall)

Absolutely disgusting food and arrogant staff. I ate at Maharaja of India near Leicester Square and ordered the Paneer Madras and Mixed Vegetables—both were downright awful. The food tasted like it was thrown together with zero effort, bland and just plain bad. When I gave them honest feedback, instead of listening or showing any courtesy, they smugly said “no one has ever complained.” Well, here’s your first. This place survives on clueless tourists and has clearly forgotten what real Indian food is supposed to taste like. Avoid this joke of a restaurant unless you enjoy wasting your money on garbage.

Nayem, who I saw a lot of in reviews, served us. I ordered curry, king prawn, and garlic naan, and it was spicy enough for Koreans, so I really enjoyed it!! Two people ate, but it wasn't enough, so we ordered extra rice and it was just the right amount. I think it's a good way to get rid of your stomach if you get tired of Western food.

We came here because of the good reviews, but the quality was very average: chicken was too dry, not much taste when you're used to India/Pakistan food. Price: very expensive.

Amazing Indian cuisine in a nice shopping district. Try the Vegetarian or non-veg Thali, great way to enjoy a variety! Waiter Nayem took great care of us. NOTE: if you’re from The US, be aware that the spice level in British Indian food is significantly hotter!!

I visited the restaurent today with my family, reserved a table and still waited for 45 minutes and after that experienced such a bad service from the staff. There was one old waiter with very rude behavior and was completely mannerless with customers. I will not recommend it at all.
